Detailed Description
The present application will be described in further detail with reference to the drawings and examples, in order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present application more apparent. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are for purposes of illustration only and are not intended to limit the scope of the application.
With the advancement of network sharing, network sharing between operators through heterogeneous network roaming will become more and more widespread. Wherein, the heterogeneous network roaming refers to the roaming of User Equipment (UE) from a home network to a visited network.
Currently, in the cross-network switching process, a target AMF network element in a visiting network determines slice information of UE based on own understanding so as to realize cross-network switching based on the slice information. Wherein the slice information includes slice selection assistance information (Network Slice Selection Assistance Information, NSSAI). One slice information corresponds to one network slice, and the network slice is a networking mode according to requirements, so that operators can separate a plurality of network slices on a unified infrastructure, and each network slice is logically isolated to adapt to requirements of different application scenes.
However, due to inconsistent slice types and codes employed between operators, the determined slice information may not be consistent with the slice information of the home network, thereby failing to implement cross-network handoff and network sharing. For example, the slice information in the home network is slice information corresponding to a private network slice, and the visited network understands the slice information corresponding to the private network slice as slice information of a common slice, so that the UE cannot normally use the private network slice, and network sharing cannot be realized, and service interruption of the UE is caused.
In order to solve the technical problems, an embodiment of the present application provides a slice information mapping method, which mainly determines slice information based on a negotiation mechanism for an AMF network element in a visited network. The method may be applied in an application environment as shown in fig. 1.
As shown in fig. 1, fig. 1 is an application environment diagram of a slice information mapping method according to an embodiment of the present application. Wherein an access and mobility management function (Access and mobility Management function, AMF) network element 101 in the home network communicates with an AMF network element 102 in the visited network via the network. When the AMF network element 101 can no longer serve the UE, the selection of the target AMF network element is started, if the target AMF network element is a heterogeneous network device, i.e. if the target AMF network element is an AMF network element in the visited network. In case of mobility between public land mobile networks (Public Land Mobile Network, PLMN), the AMF network element 101 in the home network sends UE context information to the AMF network element 102 in the visited network, where the UE context information may include a slice mapping list negotiated between the home network and the visited network, and allowed slice information of the UE, where the slice mapping list includes slice mapping information, that is, a corresponding relationship between slice information of the UE in the home network and slice information in the visited network is included in the slice mapping list. The AMF network element 102 in the visited network is thereby caused to determine, based on the slice mapping information and the allowed slice information, target slice information corresponding to the allowed slice information of the UE, where the target slice information is slice information in the visited network corresponding to the allowed slice information in the slice mapping information.
Because the cross-network slice negotiation mechanism is established between the interworking operators, the flexibility of cross-network slice mapping is increased, the effectiveness of cross-network switching and cross-network interworking is improved, and the possibility of subsequent cross-network multi-slice service interworking and multi-network interworking is also improved.
For a clearer description of an embodiment of the present application, reference is made to fig. 2. As shown in fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flow chart of a slice information mapping method according to an embodiment of the present application, and the method is applied to an AMF network element in the visited network in fig. 1, for example, and includes the following steps:
s201, receiving UE context information sent by an AMF network element in a home network of the UE; the UE context information includes allowed slice information and slice mapping information of the UE, and the slice mapping information includes a correspondence between slice information of the UE in the home network and slice information in the visited network.
The slice information in the home network refers to slice information supported by an AMF network element in the home network, and the slice information in the visiting network refers to slice information supported by the AMF network element in the visiting network.
The slice mapping information is shown in table 1 below, for example, and the correspondence between the slice information of the UE in the home network and the slice information in the visited network is shown in table 1. The slice information in the visiting network is distinguished by the mapping identification.
TABLE 1

According to the embodiment of the application, the AMF network element in the home network is newly added with logic definition and processing flow for cross-network data interaction, when the cross-network switching is determined, slice mapping information is acquired according to the self logic configuration of the AMF network element in the home network, and the slice mapping information and the allowed slice information of the UE are sent to the AMF network element in the visiting network.
The logic configuration of the AMF network element in the home network may include a network element identifier of a target AMF network element corresponding to the AMF network element in the home network and a PLMN identifier to which the target AMF network element belongs. For example, the logic configuration of the AMF network element in the home network includes AMF network element 1 and PLMN identifiers corresponding to AMF network element 1; and the PLMN identifiers corresponding to the AMF network element 2 and the AMF network element 2 are included. The AMF network element in the home network can determine that the AMF network element 1 is an intranet device of the AMF network element in the home network through the PLMN identifier corresponding to the AMF network element 1, and determine that the AMF network element 2 is a different network device of the AMF network element in the home network through the PLMN identifier corresponding to the AMF network element 2, namely the AMF network element 2 is an AMF network element in the visiting network. If the target AMF network element determined by the AMF network element in the home network is AMF network element 2, the AMF network element in the home network sends UE context information to the AMF network element 2, and correspondingly, the AMF network element 2 receives the UE context information sent by the AMF network element in the home network.
S202, determining target slice information corresponding to the allowable slice information according to the allowable slice information and the slice mapping information.
In the embodiment of the application, the AMF network element in the visited network can query the slice mapping information according to the allowed slice information, and if the slice information of the AMF network element in the visited network corresponding to the allowed slice information is queried, the queried slice information of the AMF network element in the visited network corresponding to the allowed slice information is used as the target slice information. In table 1, if the allowable slice information is slice identifier 1, slice information mapped to identifier 1 is set as target slice information.
If the slice information of the AMF network element in the visiting network corresponding to the slice allowing information is not queried, the AMF network element in the visiting network can send renegotiation information to the AMF network element in the home network, and the AMF network element in the home network updates the slice allowing information in response to the renegotiation information. For example, the first time the AMF network element in the home network sends the slice permission information is the slice permission information 1, if the AMF network element in the home network renegotiates the message, the AMF network element in the home network may resend the slice permission information 2, send the slice permission information 2 to the AMF network element in the visited network, and the AMF network element in the visited network re-queries the slice mapping information to determine the slice information of the AMF network element in the visited network corresponding to the slice permission information 2.
According to the slice mapping method provided by the embodiment of the application, the UE context information comprising the slice allowing information and the slice mapping information and sent by the AMF network element in the home network of the UE is received, and the target slice information corresponding to the slice allowing information is determined according to the slice allowing information and the slice mapping information. The slice mapping information comprises the corresponding relation between the slice information of the UE in the home network and the slice information of the visiting network, wherein the corresponding relation is the corresponding relation between the slice information negotiated between the home network and the visiting network, so that the target slice information corresponding to the allowed slice information can be determined based on the corresponding relation. The effectiveness of cross-network switching and cross-network intercommunication is improved, and the possibility of subsequent cross-network multi-slice service intercommunication and multi-network intercommunication is also improved. The application is not the target slice information determined by the visiting network based on the understanding of the visiting network, thereby reducing the possibility that the determined target slice information is inconsistent with the slice information of the home network due to inconsistent adopted slice types and codes among operators, and further leading to incapability of realizing cross-network switching.
In one embodiment, the UE context information further includes negotiation indicating information; the above S201, according to the allowable slice information and the slice mapping information, the determination of the target slice information corresponding to the allowable slice information may be implemented as follows:
And determining target slice information according to the negotiation instruction information, the slice permission information and the slice mapping information.
For example, when the negotiation instruction information is 1, it means that the target slice information is to be determined based on the negotiation mechanism, that is, the slice mapping information. If the negotiation indication information is 0, it means that the determination of the target slice information based on the negotiation mechanism is not needed, in this case, the AMF network element in the visited network may determine the target slice information based on its configuration.
Whether the negotiation indicating information characterizes the target slice information is to be determined based on a negotiation mechanism or not, and the determination mode of the target slice information is more flexible through the negotiation indicating information. And the effectiveness of the inter-network interworking is improved through negotiating the indication information and the slice mapping information, and the possibility of the subsequent inter-network multi-slice service interworking and multi-network interworking is also improved. The embodiment of the application can be widely applied to the national heterogeneous network roaming or international roaming scene of the fifth generation mobile communication technology (5th Generation Mobile Communication Technology,5G), and facilitates the development of heterogeneous network roaming multi-slice service by expanding the flow of slice mapping when the two parties of the heterogeneous network are switched across N14, thereby creating conditions for the development of the follow-up heterogeneous network roaming multi-slice multi-service.
In the embodiment of the application, under the condition that the UE context information also comprises the negotiation indicating information, the target slice information can be determined according to the negotiation indicating information, the permission slice information and the slice mapping information, so that the determination mode of the target slice information is more flexible.
In one embodiment, as shown in fig. 3, fig. 3 is a flow chart of a method for determining target slice information according to an embodiment of the present application. This embodiment relates to how one possible implementation of the target slice information is determined according to negotiation instruction information, permission slice information and slice mapping information. On the basis of the above embodiment, the method may include the steps of:
s301, if the negotiation indicating information is used for representing that negotiation with an AMF network element in a home network is needed, inquiring slice mapping information according to the allowed slice information.
S302, if the slice information of the AMF network element in the visiting network corresponding to the allowed slice information is queried, determining the queried slice information of the AMF network element in the visiting network corresponding to the allowed slice information as target slice information.
The negotiation indication information is a negotiation identification bit used for identifying whether negotiation is needed, and the visited network can determine which mode is adopted to determine the target slice information through the negotiation identification bit, so that the flexibility of the determination mode of the target slice information is improved.
In the embodiment of the application, if the negotiation instruction information is used for representing that the negotiation is required to be performed with the AMF network element in the home network, the slice mapping information is queried according to the permission slice information, and under the condition that the slice information of the AMF network element in the visiting network corresponding to the permission slice information is queried, the queried slice information of the AMF network element in the visiting network corresponding to the permission slice information is determined as the target slice information, so that the determination of the target slice information based on the negotiation instruction information is realized, and the flexibility of the determination mode of the target slice information is improved.
In one embodiment, the slice information mapping method may further include the following steps:
and if the slice information of the AMF network element in the visiting network corresponding to the slice allowing information is not queried, adopting a preset processing mode to process.
In this embodiment, if the slice information of the AMF network element in the visited network corresponding to the slice permission information is not queried, it means that the slice permission information does not exist in the slice mapping information, and in this case, the processing may be performed by adopting a preset processing manner.
Optionally, the preset processing mode includes any one of the following:
determining default slice information as target slice information;
Transmitting renegotiation information to an AMF network element in the home network, wherein the renegotiation information is used for indicating the AMF network element in the home network to update the slice allowing information;
and sending a rejection message to an AMF network element in the home network, wherein the rejection message is used for indicating that the allocation of the target slice information for the UE is refused.
The default slice information may be any slice information of slice information supported by the visited network. Determining the default slice information as the target slice information refers to a default matching mode. Sending a renegotiation message to an AMF network element in the home network refers to a renegotiation mode. Sending a rejection message to an AMF network element in the home network refers to a reject mode.
In the embodiment of the application, if the slice information of the AMF network element in the visiting network corresponding to the slice allowing information is not queried, any one of the modes of default matching, renegotiation, refusal and the like can be adopted for processing, so that the flexibility of the determination mode of the target slice information is improved under the condition that the slice information of the AMF network element in the visiting network corresponding to the slice allowing information is not queried.
In one embodiment, the slice information mapping method may further include:
if the negotiation indicating information is used for characterizing that the negotiation with the AMF network element in the home network is not needed, determining target slice information according to slice information supported by the AMF network element in the visited network.
For example, if the negotiation instruction information is used to characterize that negotiation with the AMF network element in the home network is not required and there are 5 slice information supported by the AMF network element in the visited network, any slice information of the 5 slice information may be used as the target slice information.
In the embodiment of the application, the target slice information is determined according to the slice information supported by the AMF network element in the visiting network under the condition that the negotiation indicating information is used for representing that the negotiation with the AMF network element in the home network is not needed. The method can determine whether to adopt slice mapping information or self configuration of AMF network elements in the visiting network to determine target slice information through negotiating indication information, and improves flexibility of a cross-network slice mapping mode.
The AMF network element in the home network in the embodiment of the present application may perform the following steps:
sending UE context information to an AMF network element in a visiting network of the UE; the UE context information comprises allowable slice information and slice mapping information of the UE, the slice mapping information comprises a corresponding relation between slice information of the UE in a home network and slice information in a visiting network, and the UE context information is used for an AMF network element in the visiting network to determine target slice information corresponding to the allowable slice information according to the allowable slice information and the slice mapping information.
