Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. When the following description refers to the accompanying drawings, the same numbers in different drawings refer to the same or similar elements, unless otherwise indicated. The embodiments described in the following exemplary embodiments do not represent all embodiments consistent with the present specification.
The application provides an access point configuration method, as shown in fig. 1, applied to an access controller, comprising the following steps:
s100, a first CAPWAP tunnel is established with the first management device, and the corresponding relation between the access point connected with the first management device and the connected port is obtained through the first CAPWAP tunnel.
S101, a second CAPWAP tunnel is established with the access point, and equipment information of the access point is recorded.
As shown in fig. 2, an AC (Access controller ) and several management devices and APs (Access points) are deployed in the WLAN network, where wired connections are made between the AC and the management devices and between the management devices and the APs. The management device may be understood as a device that does not have a wireless function and forwards data between the AC and the AP, the APs connected to the same management device may be divided into the same group, and the configuration performed on the management device may be considered as the configuration for the same group of APs connected to the management device, and the configuration information formed based on the configuration may be issued to the connected APs to perform the configuration. The management device may also be referred to as SPM (intelligent power over ethernet manager, smart Power over Ethernet Manager).
After the connection between the devices in the WLAN is completed, the AC and the management device establish a first CAPWAP (wireless access point control and provisioning, controlling and Provisioning of Wireless Access Point) tunnel, and the staff member may access the management device via the first CAPWAP tunnel via the AC to configure the management device to form first configuration information, including but not limited to radio frequency, channel, power and rate, etc., without limitation. The first configuration information may be understood as a configuration file formed according to the configuration, through which the AP may complete the configuration of itself.
After the first CAPWAP tunnel is established, the AC can interact with the management device to acquire the AP connected with the management device, and establish the corresponding relation between the management device and the connected AP. In addition, the AC may also acquire a port or the like where the AP to which the management device is connected is located.
Thereafter, a second CAPWAP tunnel is established with the AP, through which the AC may learn information of the AP managed by the AC, including, but not limited to, device name, device identification, status, mode of operation, serial number, etc. In this application, the device information further includes a correspondence between the access point and the first management device, where the correspondence may be recorded in the port or may be recorded by a separate table entry. If the AC is able to acquire the port of the AP to which the management device is connected, the AC may also record the port to which the AP is connected.
It should be noted that, the AC may acquire, from the management device and each AP, a correspondence between an access point to which the first management device is connected and a port to which the first management device is connected and record device information of the access point through a CAPWAP control message. For example, the management device may send the corresponding relationship to the AC in the load of the Echo request message in the CAPWAP protocol (such as the Element ID field and the Data field), and similarly, the AP may send the device information to the AC in the load of the Echo request message in the CAPWAP protocol (such as the Element ID field and the Data field), and so on. Of course, the information may be carried in other fields, which is not limited.
In WLAN networking, a plurality of management devices may be provided, and one management device may also be associated with or another management device.
S102, first configuration information configured for the first management device is issued to the access point connected with the first management device, so that the access point connected with the first management device configures itself according to the first configuration information.
After the CAPWAP tunnel between the AC and the AP is established, the configuration required by the AP can be determined according to the corresponding relation between the first management device and the AP. At this time, the AC may send the first configuration information to the AP connected to the first management device through the first management device, and after the AP receives the first configuration information, the AP completes its own configuration according to the configuration included in the first configuration information.
Through the connection between the management equipment and the AP, the AC establishes a corresponding relation between the management equipment and the AP, so that the AP can acquire configuration information aiming at the management equipment and complete configuration of the AP, and the deployment efficiency of WLAN networking is improved.
Optionally, the device information further includes a port to which the access point is connected to the first management device.
After step S102 of issuing the first configuration information to the access point to which the first management device is connected, the method further includes:
s103, receiving a feedback message sent by the access point based on the first configuration information.
S104, marking the access point corresponding to the feedback message as a configuration failure state.
S105, the first configuration information is issued to the access point in the configuration failure state again.
After the AC issues the first configuration information to the AP through the second CAPWAP tunnel, the AP performs its own configuration according to the received first configuration information. After the configuration is performed, if the configuration is successful, the AP may not send a feedback message to the AC, and if the configuration is failed, the AP may send a feedback message to the AC, where the feedback message carries its own device identifier and a failure reason. The device identification includes, but is not limited to, MAC (media access control ) address, IP (internet protocol, internet Protocol) address, serial number, and the like.
The AC acquires the equipment identification from the feedback message, determines the AP with the configuration failure, and marks the AP as the configuration failure state in the AC. If no feedback message is received, the AC does not flag.
When determining that one AP is in a configuration failure state, the AC can send the first configuration information to the AP again based on the record of the configuration failure, so as to avoid the problem of the configuration failure of the AP caused by the condition that the configuration information is not completely received and the like, and further improve the reliability of WLAN deployment.
The feedback message AP may reply through an Echo Response message in the CAPWAP protocol. If CAPWAP protocol is adopted for other message transmission when the management device or the AP transmits the message to the AC, the AC only needs to feed back the corresponding message to the management device or the AP.
Of course, it may be set that the AP sends a feedback message to the AC, regardless of whether the configuration is successful or failed.
Further, after the step S105 of issuing the first configuration information to the access point in the configuration failure state again, the method further includes:
and S106, if the feedback message sent by the access point is received again, extracting the failure reason from the feedback message and recording the failure reason.
After the AC issues the first configuration information to the AP in the configuration failure state again, the AP may perform configuration according to the first configuration information issued this time. If the AP is configured successfully, the processing is not performed, and if the AP is also not configured successfully, a feedback message can be sent to the AC again.
When the AC receives a feedback message from an AP for the second time, it can be confirmed that the AP may have a fault, and configuration cannot be completed. At this time, the AC may acquire the failure reason carried in the feedback message and record the failure reason corresponding to the AP on the basis of recording that the AP is not configured successfully, so that a worker may quickly locate the position of the AP and the reason that the AP is configured to fail, thereby improving the operation and maintenance efficiency of the AP in the WLAN network.
Optionally, step S105, issuing the first configuration information to the access point in the configuration failure state again, specifically:
and unicast transmitting the first configuration information to the access point in the configuration failure state again.
Optionally, step S102, issuing, to the access point to which the first management device is connected, first configuration information configured for the first management device, specifically:
and broadcasting and issuing first configuration information configured for the first management device to an access point connected with the first management device.
When the AC transmits the first configuration information to the AP connected with the first management device, the AC can transmit the first configuration information to a plurality of APs in a broadcast or multicast mode for the first time, so that the efficiency of transmitting the configuration information to the plurality of APs in the WLAN networking is improved.
After determining that a part of APs cannot complete their own configuration based on the first configuration information issued for the first time, the AC can determine which APs are failed to be configured, and at this time, the AC only needs to issue to a smaller number of APs when issuing the first configuration information again, so that the AC can issue to the corresponding APs in a unicast manner, without broadcasting or multicasting, thereby reducing excessive occupation of network resources by the process of issuing the configuration information.
Optionally, step S102, issuing, to the access point to which the first management device is connected, first configuration information configured for the first management device, further includes:
S102A, if the first management device is determined to be associated with the second management device, the first configuration information configured for the first management device is issued to the access point connected with the first management device, and the first configuration information configured for the first management device and the second configuration information configured for the second management device are sequentially issued to the access point associated with the second management device according to a preset sequence.
S102B, if the first management device is determined to be associated with the second management device, second configuration information configured for the second management device is issued to an access point connected with the second management device, and first configuration information configured for the first management device and second configuration information configured for the second management device are sequentially issued to the access point associated with the first management device according to a preset sequence.
In WLAN networking, a plurality of management devices may be included, where the management devices may be configured to associate with each other and be associated with each other. By this configuration, it is possible to make one management apparatus inherit the configuration on the other management apparatus or share the configuration itself to the other management apparatus.
It is assumed that a worker configures a first management device on which first configuration information is formed and a second management device on which second configuration information is formed through an AC. Each configuration information may be preset with a priority, and the AC may compare according to the preset priority to determine which configuration information has a higher priority, where the priority may be used as a preset order to determine a configuration information issuing order to the AP to which the management device is connected.
In addition, the order of issuing the configuration information can also be determined through the association and the associated relationship between the management devices, for example, the configuration information formed on one management device associated with other management devices has higher priority, and the configuration information formed on the associated management device has lower priority.
When the AC issues the configuration information, the configuration information with lower priority is issued first, and then the configuration information with higher priority is issued. This is set because there may be a conflict between configuration information, such as a configuration frequency of 2.4 ghz on the first management device and a configuration frequency of 5 ghz on the second management device. If the first management device is associated with the second management device, it is determined that the second configuration information formed on the second management device is higher in priority. The AC firstly issues the first configuration information and then issues the second configuration information, so that the second configuration information with higher priority can cover the first configuration information with lower priority.
In addition, if the AC determines that there is an identical portion between the first configuration information and the second configuration information through the comparison, the identical portion may not be issued. That is, the same configuration information between the first configuration information and the second configuration information is not repeatedly issued.
An access point configuration method according to the present application will be described below with reference to WLAN networking as shown in fig. 3 as an example of a specific embodiment. The WLAN networking includes an AC and two management devices (SPM 1 and SPM 2), and each management device is connected with 5 APs, namely AP11-AP15 and AP21-AP25.
An access point configuration method, comprising:
s1, an AC establishes CAPWAP tunnels with SPM1 and SPM2 respectively, and equipment identifiers of SPM1 and SPM2 and APs connected with SPM1 and SPM2 are obtained based on a negotiation process of the CAPWAP tunnels.
The AC and SPM1 establish CAPWAP tunnel 1, and the SPM2 establishes CAPWAP tunnel 2. After CAPWAP tunnel is established, a worker may access SPM1 and SPM2 through the AC, configuring in SPM1 and SPM 2. Such as configuring SPM1 frequency to be 2.4 gigahertz, channels (1, 6, 11), rate 300 megahertz, SPM2 frequency to be 2.4 gigahertz, channels (3, 8, 13), rate 300 megawatts, maximum power to be 100 megawatts, and minimum power to be 50 megawatts. In addition, the associated SPM2 is configured on the SPM1, that is, the configuration information 1 of the SPM1 has a higher priority than the configuration information 2 of the SPM 2.
In the AC, each of the APs 11 connected to the SPM1 is recorded with the SPM1S1, where S1 indicates that the port S1 of the SPM1 is connected to the AP11. The subsequent APs 12-15 and AP21-AP25 are likewise not described.
S3, the AC forms configuration information 1 for the SPM1 and configuration information 2 for the SPM2 based on the configuration of the staff.
S4, the AC establishes CAPWAP tunnels with a plurality of APs respectively.
CAPWAP tunnels established by AC and AP are CAPWAP tunnel 11-CAPWAP tunnel 15 and CAPWAP tunnel 21-CAPWAP tunnel 25, respectively.
S5, the AC broadcasts the issuing configuration information 1 to the AP11-AP15 according to the configuration of the SPM1, and broadcasts the issuing configuration information 2 to the AP21-AP25 according to the configuration of the SPM 2.
S6, the AC associates with the SPM1 according to the SPM2, and issues configuration information 1 to the APs 21-25.
Since the priority of the configuration information 1 is higher than that of the configuration information 2, the configuration information 2 of the SPM2 is issued to configure the AP21-AP25, and then different parts of the configuration information 2 are covered by the configuration information 1 of the SPM1, that is, the final channel of the SPM2 is set to be (1, 6, 11) in the configuration information 1 instead of (3, 8, 13) in the configuration information 2, and the AC does not issue to the AP21-AP25 repeatedly due to the same frequency and rate.
In addition, since the maximum power and the minimum power are not configured in the configuration information 1, it is necessary to issue to the AP21 to the AP25.
S7, the AC receives feedback messages of the AP11 and the AP13 and records configuration failure states of the AP11 and the AP 13.
And S8, the AC unicast transmits the configuration information 1 to the AP11 and the AP13 respectively.
S9, the AC receives the feedback message of the AP13, extracts the failure reason in the feedback message, removes the configuration failure state of the AP11 from the record, and records the failure reason for the AP 13.
Since the AP11 completes the configuration after the second transmission of the configuration information 1, no feedback message is transmitted to the AC any more, but the AP13 has not completed the configuration yet, and thus the AP13 transmits the feedback message to the AC again.
At this time, the AC may determine that the AP13 has sent the feedback message for the second time, analyze the feedback message, obtain the failure cause therein, and record the failure cause in the feedback message to a recording location corresponding to the AP 13.
S10, the AC displays the failure of the AP13 to prompt the staff to perform maintenance.
Through the method, the AC can realize batch configuration of the APs through the corresponding relation of the connection between the management equipment and the APs, and the deployment efficiency of WLAN networking is improved.
