Description

Paging processing method and device, terminal and network equipment
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a paging processing method and apparatus, a terminal, and a network device.
Background
A Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM), also called an upgraded SIM, can support multiple applications, and besides, the USIM card also upgrades the algorithm in terms of security, increases the authentication function of the card to the network, and can effectively prevent hackers from attacking the card. Currently, many commercial wireless communication terminal apparatuses support more than 1 USIM, and a typical application is to support 2 USIMs. For cost reasons, current multi-USIM devices typically use wireless and baseband components in a way that the multi-USIM shares the wireless and baseband components. In this case, in the multi-USIM system, paging Occasions (POs) of the USIM cards are calculated based on the respective UE identifiers, so that the two obtained POs may collide, that is, paging subframes of the two USIM cards are partially or completely overlapped in time, and a User Equipment (UE) cannot receive two pages at the same time, so that a Paging loss occurs. For the problem of paging occasion collision, one current solution is to use redundant paging, i.e. repeated paging by the network, so that the terminal has a chance to receive paging of multiple USIM cards even in case of collision, but this method still has the following problems:
1) The terminal does not know whether the network repeatedly pages and the number of paging times, so that the paging receiving of the terminal still cannot be effectively scheduled;
2) The network resources are wasted due to the fact that the number of times of repeated paging of the network is too large, and it is probably not necessary that each card of the multi-card terminal performs repeated paging, or subscription information of a certain card is not allowed to be repeated.

Detailed Description
In order to make the aforementioned objects, features and advantages of the present invention comprehensible, embodiments accompanied with figures are described in detail below.
Taking Long Term Evolution (LTE) as an example, the standard protocol TS 36.304 specifies a calculation method of PO. A UE in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) IDLE state (IDLE) listens to a Paging message in a specific subframe (i.e., PO) and a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) scrambled by a Paging-Radio Network Temporary Identity (P-RNTI). The radio Frame where the specific subframe is located is called a Paging Frame (PF), and the UE only needs to monitor one PO in each Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle. The DRX cycle refers to a specific time interval (indicative time interval) for which a PO is monitored for one specific UE. In this context, the paging cycle also refers to a period of time from a certain PO (inclusive) to the next PO (exclusive), the length of which is the aforementioned DRX interval, according to the specific context.
The PF can be determined using the following equation: SFN mod T = (T div N) · (UE _ ID mod N), where SFN represents a System Frame Number (System Frame Number), T represents a discontinuous reception period of the UE, a unit is a radio Frame, div represents division, N = min (T, nB), function min () represents a minimum value, nB takes a value selected from 4T, 2T, T/2, T/4, T/8, T/16, T/32, and this parameter characterizes the paging density. For example, 4T means 4 subframes per radio frame for paging, and T/2 means 1 subframe per 2 radio frames for paging. UE _ ID represents UE Identity, which is the remainder of the International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) and 1024 (i.e., UE _ ID = IMSI mod 1024).
PO can be determined using the following formula: i _ s = floor (UE _ ID/N) mod Ns. Wherein i _ s represents the index of PO, N = min (T, nB), the function min () represents the minimum value, T represents the discontinuous reception period of the UE, the unit is a radio frame, nB represents the paging density, and the value is selected from 4T, 2T, T/2, T/4, T/8, T/16, T/32.Ns = max (1,nb/T), and function max () represents taking the maximum value.
Since the PO of each USIM card of an LTE terminal is calculated based on the respective UE identity, the POs of different USIM cards may collide, i.e., paging subframes of two cards partially or completely overlap in time.
The embodiment of the invention provides a paging processing method and a paging processing device aiming at the problem of paging opportunity collision, and redundant paging indication information aiming at each subscriber identity card is issued to a terminal in advance, so that the terminal can determine whether each subscriber identity card allows redundant paging in advance according to the redundant paging indication information and can further determine the paging frequency of each subscriber identity card. Once the paging occasion collision occurs, the terminal can determine whether the collision card allows redundant paging according to the recorded redundant paging indication information corresponding to the collision card, thereby effectively scheduling the paging reception of the terminal and ensuring the correct reception of the paging by each user card.

It should be noted that each block in the flowchart or block diagrams may represent a module, a program segment, or a portion of code, which may include one or more executable instructions for implementing the logical function specified in the respective embodiment. It should also be noted that the sequence numbers of the respective steps in the flowcharts do not represent a limitation on the execution order of the respective steps.
It should be noted that the subscriber identity card mentioned in the following embodiments may be a USIM card, and the mentioned network may be a core network or an access network.
Fig. 1 shows a flowchart of a paging processing method according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The paging processing method of this embodiment may be performed by a user equipment, which may support a plurality of subscriber identity cards. For example, by a multi-card multi-mode handset terminal supporting LTE and/or NR. The method specifically comprises the following steps:
step 101, receiving and recording redundant paging indication information sent by a network, wherein the paging indication information is at least used for indicating whether a corresponding subscriber identity card allows redundant paging.
Further, the paging indication information may also be used to indicate the number of paging times of the corresponding subscriber identity card.
It should be noted that, in practical applications, for UEs of different classes, the network may allow or prohibit redundant paging, and this may be determined according to application needs; moreover, the paging repetition times for the UEs of different categories may be the same or different, and the embodiment of the present invention is not limited.
In addition, there are various occasions when the UE receives the redundant paging indication information sent by the network and specific messages carrying the redundant paging indication information, for example, there may be the following situations:
(1) In the process of network registration, network attachment or tracking area updating of UE
In this case, the UE is required to first apply to the network, that is, in one non-limiting embodiment, the method of the present invention may further include the following steps: and sending redundant paging request information to the network to apply for redundant paging from the network.
For example, in the process of initial registration, periodic registration, or mobility registration, or radio resource control reconfiguration and/or radio resource control connection reconfiguration configured by a general UE, the UE in the 5G NR system sends redundant paging request information to the network. Correspondingly, after receiving the redundant paging request information, the network sends redundant paging indication information to the UE.
For another example, for a UE in a 4G system, when the UE performs network attachment and tracking area update to an Evolved Packet Core (EPC), the network sends redundant paging indication information to the UE.
Whether redundant paging request information is sent by the UE to the network or redundant paging indication information is sent by the network to the UE, the redundant paging request information and the redundant paging indication information may be respectively carried in the existing messages by expanding some existing messages, and certainly, a new message may be added to carry the information in a corresponding interaction process, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
For example, the interactive message with the network in the existing UE registration process may be expanded, and the redundant paging request information and the redundant paging indication information are respectively carried in the expanded corresponding messages.
For example, for the UE in the 5G system, the redundant paging REQUEST information is carried in a REGISTRATION REQUEST message (REGISTRATION REQUEST message), and the redundant paging indication information is carried in a REGISTRATION ACCEPT message (REGISTRATION ACCEPT message); or, the redundant paging request information is carried in a CONFIGURATION UPDATE COMMAND message (CONFIGURATION UPDATE COMMAND message), and the redundant paging indication information is carried in a CONFIGURATION UPDATE COMMAND message (CONFIGURATION UPDATE COMMAND message); or, the redundant paging request INFORMATION is carried in a UE assistance INFORMATION message (UE association INFORMATION message), and the redundant paging indication INFORMATION is carried in an RRC RECONFIGURATION message (RRC RECONFIGURATION message).
For another example, for the UE in the 4G system, the redundant paging REQUEST information may be carried in an ATTACH REQUEST message (ATTACH REQUEST message), and the redundant paging indication information may be carried in an ATTACH ACCEPT message (ATTACH ACCEPT message); or, the redundant paging request information is carried in a TRACKING AREA UPDATE message (TRACKING AREA UPDATE message), and the redundant paging indication information is carried in a TRACKING AREA ACCEPT message (TRACKING AREA ACCEPT message); or, the redundant paging request INFORMATION is carried in a UE assistance INFORMATION message (UE association INFORMATION message), and the redundant paging indication INFORMATION is carried in an RRC CONNECTION RECONFIGURATION message (RRC CONNECTION RECONFIGURATION message).
For another example, the information may be carried in a message of another process, which is not limited in this embodiment of the present invention.
(2) Access network sending system messages
The UE receives a system message sent by a network, wherein the broadcast information in the system message comprises indication information whether redundant paging indication information corresponding to a user identification card registered in the system is valid or not.
It should be noted that, in the broadcast information, it may be specified that redundant paging is allowed for all or some UEs of the subscriber identity card, or paging may be repeated only for UEs that have applied for redundant paging (for example, received a redundant paging request of a UE) and are approved, because not all cells support redundant paging, that is, core Network (CN) support, but Radio Access Network (RAN) may not support, and in this case, the Access Network may notify the terminal through a system message of a cell.
It should be noted that the above cases are only examples of the UE receiving the redundant paging indication information sent by the network in step 101, and in practical applications, there may be other receiving occasions and information carrying manners, which is not limited in this embodiment of the present invention.
Step 102, when a paging collision occurs, determining a collision card, where the collision card is two or more subscriber identity cards having at least partially overlapped paging occasions in at least one paging cycle, and the at least partially overlapped paging occasions of the two or more subscriber identity cards are recorded as a first paging occasion.
It should be noted that, when the UE supports multiple subscriber identity cards, the paging occasions of the multiple subscriber identity cards may be determined according to corresponding protocols.
For example, the UE has 2 subscriber identity cards, card a and card B. According to the time arrangement, one paging occasion of the card a is subframe 2 of a radio frame with SFN 28, one paging occasion of the card B is subframe 7 of a radio frame with SFN 36, the subframes 2 and 7 are partially or completely overlapped in time domain position, DRX cycles of the card a and the card B may be the same or different, and at this time, the card a and the card B are collision cards. Further, the UE may record at least partially overlapping paging occasions of the two or more subscriber identity cards as a first paging occasion.
Step 103, determining whether the collision card allows redundant paging according to the redundant paging indication information of the collision card.
Step 104, if allowed, receiving a redundant page at a second paging occasion other than the first paging occasion.
It should be noted that the UE may be notified by the network through the redundant paging indication information. Of course, the UE may also set a corresponding calculation rule by using a protocol agreement or a notification manner, and determine the second paging occasion according to the calculation rule, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present invention.
Further, in other non-limiting embodiments, the UE may also receive redundant paging update information sent by the network during the configuration update process, and update the redundant paging indication information of the corresponding subscriber identity card according to the redundant paging update information. For example, the station carries the redundant paging update information through RRC signaling and sends the redundant paging update information to the UE, or the core network carries the redundant paging update information through NAS signaling and sends the redundant paging update information to the UE.
Further, in another embodiment, the UE may also send redundant paging update request information to the network. Specifically, the UE may send the redundant paging update request information to a base station on a network side, or may send the redundant paging update request information to a core network on the network side.
Further, the redundant paging update request message may be a message for requesting the network to adjust any one or more of the following messages: paging occasion parameter, paging times, paging frame parameter, etc. The paging occasion parameter may include a paging occasion index, and the paging frame parameter may include a paging frame position adjustment parameter.
Accordingly, after the base station or the core network receives the redundant paging update request information, the parameters to be adjusted may be determined based on the redundant paging update request information, and the redundant paging update information including the corresponding parameters may be sent to the UE. After receiving the redundant paging update information, the UE updates corresponding parameters in the corresponding redundant paging indication information, determines a paging occasion (e.g., a second paging occasion) different from the first paging occasion based on the adjusted redundant paging parameters, and receives a page at the paging occasion. It should be noted that the paging occasion may be determined by the base station or the core network by using the paging frame parameter or the paging occasion parameter uploaded by the UE, or may be directly determined by the base station or the core network without using the paging frame parameter or the paging occasion parameter uploaded by the UE.
The paging processing method provided by the embodiment of the invention is used for sending redundant paging indication information aiming at each user identification card to the terminal in advance aiming at multi-user identification card equipment, so that the terminal can determine whether each user identification card allows redundant paging in advance according to the redundant paging indication information and can further determine the paging frequency of each user identification card. Once the paging occasion collision occurs, the terminal can determine whether the collision card allows redundant paging according to the recorded redundant paging indication information corresponding to the collision card, thereby effectively scheduling the paging reception of the terminal and ensuring the correct reception of the paging by each user card. And then can also adopt different paging tactics to different subscriber identity module cards, meet different application requirements, can also avoid adopting the same paging tactics to produce the unnecessary redundant paging to all subscriber identity module cards, save the network resource effectively.
As shown in fig. 2, it is another flowchart of the paging processing method according to the embodiment of the present invention, which includes the following steps:
step 201, receiving and recording redundant paging indication information sent by a network, where the paging indication information is at least used to indicate whether a corresponding subscriber identity card allows redundant paging.
Step 202, when a paging collision occurs, determining a collision card, where the collision card is two or more subscriber identity cards having at least partially overlapped paging occasions in at least one paging cycle, and the at least partially overlapped paging occasions of the two or more subscriber identity cards are recorded as a first paging occasion.
Step 203, determining whether the collision card allows redundant paging according to the redundant paging indication information of the collision card.
The steps 201 to 203 are the same as the steps 101 to 103 shown in fig. 1, and are not described herein again.
And step 204, if the redundant paging is allowed, receiving the redundant paging at each second paging occasion according to the time sequence in the corresponding paging cycle.
The second paging occasion refers to a paging occasion other than the first paging occasion.
Step 205, after a redundant page is successfully received, stopping receiving redundant pages at the rest of the second paging occasions.
Compared with the embodiment shown in fig. 1, in the paging processing method of this embodiment, when there are multiple second paging occasions, the UE may receive the redundant paging at each second paging occasion according to the chronological order in the corresponding paging cycle. Once a redundant page is successfully received, the UE may stop receiving redundant pages on the remaining second paging occasions, thereby effectively saving UE power consumption.
Corresponding to the above-mentioned paging processing method on the terminal side, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a paging processing method based on the network side, where the method specifically includes: and sending redundant paging indication information to the terminal, wherein the paging indication information is at least used for indicating whether the corresponding subscriber identity card allows redundant paging. The sending of the redundant paging indication information to the terminal may specifically be a base station or a core network device.
In other non-limiting embodiments, the paging indication information may also be used to indicate the number of paging times of the corresponding subscriber identity card. The number of pages may be: total paging times, or repeated paging times; the total paging times are equal to the total number of first paging occasions and second paging occasions within a single paging cycle; the number of repeated paging is equal to the number of second paging occasions within a single paging cycle.
Accordingly, there may be various occasions and manners for sending the redundant paging indication information to the terminal, for example:
(1) Based on terminal request transmission
Specifically, a base station or core network equipment receives redundant paging request information sent by a terminal in the process of network registration, network attachment or tracking area update; and after receiving the redundant paging request information sent by the terminal, sending the redundant paging indication information to the terminal.
Wherein the network registration process comprises any one or more of the following: initial registration, periodic registration, mobility registration, generic configuration update procedure.
(2) Active transmission
The network sends system information to the terminal, and the broadcast information in the system information comprises the indication information whether the redundant paging indication information of the user identification card which is registered in the system is effective or not.
Further, in another embodiment, the base station or the core network device may further send redundant paging update information to the terminal when the terminal performs configuration update. For example, the station carries the redundant paging update information through RRC signaling and sends the redundant paging update information to the terminal, or the core network device carries the redundant paging update information through NAS signaling and sends the redundant paging update information to the terminal.
Further, in another embodiment, the method further comprises: and the station or the core network equipment receives the redundant paging update request information sent by the terminal. And after receiving the redundant paging updating request information, sending redundant paging updating information to the terminal. Specifically, the station or the core network device may determine a parameter to be adjusted based on the redundant paging update request information, and send redundant paging update information including the corresponding parameter to the terminal. And after receiving the redundant paging updating information, the terminal updates corresponding parameters in the corresponding redundant paging indication information, determines a paging occasion (for example, a second paging occasion) different from the first paging occasion based on the adjusted redundant paging parameters, and receives paging at the paging occasion. It should be noted that the paging occasion may be determined by the base station or the core network device by using the paging frame parameter or the paging occasion parameter uploaded by the terminal, or may be directly determined by the base station or the core network device without using the paging frame parameter or the paging occasion parameter uploaded by the terminal.
The paging processing method provided by the embodiment of the invention is used for sending the redundant paging indication information aiming at each user identification card to the terminal in advance aiming at the multi-user identification card equipment, so that the terminal can determine whether the redundant paging is allowed for each user identification card in advance according to the redundant paging indication information and can further determine the paging times of each user identification card.
Correspondingly, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a paging processing apparatus, which is a structural block diagram of the apparatus as shown in fig. 3.
In this embodiment, the apparatus includes the following modules:
a receiving module 31, configured to receive and record redundant paging indication information sent by a network, where the paging indication information is at least used to indicate whether a corresponding subscriber identity module card allows redundant paging;
a recording module 32, configured to record redundant paging indication information corresponding to the subscriber identity card;
a collision card determining module 33, configured to determine a collision card when a paging collision occurs, where the collision card is two or more subscriber identity cards having paging occasions at least partially overlapping in at least one paging cycle, and the paging occasions at least partially overlapping that are provided for the two or more subscriber identity cards are marked as first paging occasions;
the checking module 34 is used for determining whether the collision card allows redundant paging according to the redundant paging indication information of the collision card;
the receiving module 31 is further configured to receive a redundant page at a second paging occasion, which is different from the first paging occasion, if the checking module 34 determines that the collision card allows the redundant page.
It should be noted that, in an implementation, the paging indication information may be further used to indicate the number of paging times of the corresponding subscriber identity card. The number of pages may be: total paging times, or repeated paging times; the total paging times are equal to the total number of first paging occasions and second paging occasions within a single paging cycle; the number of repeated paging is equal to the number of second paging occasions within a single paging cycle.
The receiving module 31 may have various ways for receiving the redundant paging indication information sent by the network and for carrying the specific message of the redundant paging indication information, for example:
in a particular embodiment, the apparatus may further comprise: a sending module (not shown) is configured to send redundant paging request information to the network during network registration, network attachment, or tracking area update, so as to apply for redundant paging to the network. Correspondingly, after receiving the redundant paging request information, the network sends the redundant paging indication information.
In another specific embodiment, the receiving module 31 receives a system message sent by a network, where broadcast information in the system message includes indication information of whether redundant paging indication information corresponding to a subscriber identity card registered in the system is valid.
