At present, medium voltage power cable insulation is based on crosslinked polyethylene as the main insulating material. Crosslinked polyethylene is a thermosetting material produced by cross-linking molecular chains of polyethylene into a three-dimensional network structure by a crosslinking means. Compared with polyethylene, XLPE has higher thermal property and mechanical property, and keeps the advantages of high insulation resistance, good electric resistance and small dielectric loss of polyethylene. However, with the large scale use of XLPE insulation, some problems are also exposed:
(1) Crosslinking byproducts generated in the XLPE crosslinking process can still remain in the cable after degassing, and the mechanical property and the electrical property of insulation are influenced;
(2) The production process is complex, the working procedures such as crosslinking, degassing and the like occupy large space, the energy consumption is high, and the production efficiency is low;
(3) The XLPE insulating material is a thermosetting material, and XLPE cables are difficult to recycle after being retired, so that wastes damage the environment.
Compared with the prior art, the polypropylene has good chemical corrosion resistance and electrical insulation, cross-linking and degassing treatment are not needed in the production process, pollution and energy consumption in the production process are reduced, and the polypropylene can be recycled, so that the requirements of environmental protection and low carbon are met. In addition, the heat deformation resistance of the polypropylene at higher temperature is better than that of crosslinked polyethylene, the overload resistance and the safety performance are better, and the polypropylene has good development prospect.
Although the polypropylene material has the advantages compared with the crosslinked polyethylene insulation, the polypropylene material still has some performance defects, and the main defect is that the crystallinity is high, so the melting point temperature and the processing temperature are higher than those of the crosslinked polyethylene insulation, the existing crosslinked polyethylene insulation production unit cannot meet the production requirement of the polypropylene insulation, the production process of the polypropylene insulation needs to be improved, the requirement of the polypropylene insulation on large-length continuous production is met, the innovation of the batch application of the novel cable insulation material is realized, the requirement of the green low-carbon cycle development of a power grid is met, and the polypropylene material has important significance for the development of power cables.
The technical problems to be solved by the invention are as follows:
(1) the processing temperature for producing the crosslinked polyethylene is 100-120 ℃, the crystallinity of the polypropylene material is high, the melting point temperature is above 170 ℃ and is far higher than the insulating processing temperature of the crosslinked polyethylene, and the existing three-layer co-extrusion unit cannot meet the production requirement at the temperature;
(2) the melt flow rate of the polypropylene material is different from that of the polyethylene material, the melt flow rate is low, the melt viscosity is high, and the molding processing fluidity is poor; on the contrary, the molding processing fluidity is good. The problems of controlling the roundness and the eccentricity of the extruded polypropylene need to be solved;
(3) the polypropylene material has the defects of poor low-temperature impact property and poor flexibility, and the material needs to be modified for improving the material performance, and the processing temperature of the modified polypropylene material applied to a cable product does not have reference data at present;

(2) the connecting pipeline between the oil type mold temperature machine and the machine head is improved, a 304 stainless steel metal high-temperature hose is adopted for connection, a heat-preservation rock wool pipe and heat-preservation wool are adopted outside the hose, the difference between the output temperature of the mold temperature machine and the processing temperature of the machine head is controlled within 5 ℃, the processing temperature is constant, and large-range fluctuation is avoided;
(3) redesigning the polypropylene material processing extrusion die, modifying the inclination angle of the die core and the length of the working surface of the die sleeve shaping section, enabling the material fluidity to be more stable, and ensuring the roundness of the polypropylene insulation wire core, thereby ensuring that the eccentricity of the product meets the quality requirement.
(4) In the production process, a vulcanizing pipe is not needed for heating, but high-pressure nitrogen is applied to the polypropylene insulated wire core to keep water-gas balance, so that the roundness of the polypropylene insulated wire core is ensured, and the eccentricity of a product is ensured to meet the quality requirement;
(5) the optimum processing production temperature which meets the material is finally designed by searching the extrusion plasticizing condition of the modified polypropylene insulating material on an extruding machine and the melt fluidity test, and the requirement of the polypropylene insulating long-length continuous production is met.
