Fig. 1 is a system architecture diagram of a 5G network according to an embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in fig. 1, devices involved in the 5G network system include:
a terminal (UE), a Radio Access Network (RAN), a User Plane Function (UPF), a Data Network (DN), a Core Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF), a Session Management Function (SMF), a Session Management Function (Session Management Function), a Policy Control Function (PCF), an Application Function (AF), an Authentication Server Function (AUSF), and a Unified Data Management (UDM).
The above example of fig. 1 is only an example of a network architecture for implementing the embodiment of the present invention, and the embodiment of the present invention is not limited to the network structure described in fig. 1.
Fig. 2 is a first flowchart of a method for reporting information by a terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the method for reporting information by a terminal is applied to a terminal side, and as shown in fig. 2, the method for reporting information by a terminal includes the following steps:
step 201: the terminal encapsulates the UE-related information into a first container.
In the embodiment of the invention, the terminal can be any equipment capable of communicating with a network, such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a notebook computer, a desktop computer and the like.
In this embodiment of the present invention, the UE related information may be any information related to a state of a terminal, where the UE related information includes at least one of the following information: URSP information, WLANSP information, UE status information (e.g., UE current power, UE location information, UE moving speed, etc.).
In the embodiment of the present invention, a new Container (Container) is designed, which is called a first Container, and the terminal encapsulates the UE-related information reported to the PCF into the first Container.
Step 202: and the terminal sends the first container to the AMF through NAS information, so that the first container is sent to the PCF through the AMF.
In this embodiment of the present invention, the terminal sends the first container to the AMF through the NAS message, which may be implemented in the following two ways:
the method I comprises the following steps: and the terminal sends the first container to the AMF through a first NAS message so as to detect the content in the first NAS message through the AMF, and when the first NAS message comprises the first container, the terminal sends the first container to the PCF.
Here, the first NAS message is a normal NAS message, and referring to fig. 4, the terminal may send the first container and other information, such as context information, to the AMF through the normal NAS message, and after receiving the first NAS message, the AMF may detect the content in the first NAS message and perform corresponding processing or forwarding according to the content in the first NAS message. And if the first NAS message comprises the first container, the AMF sends the first container to the PCF through a direct connection interface N15. Furthermore, the content in the first container (i.e. the UE-related information) is not visible to the AMF, i.e.: the AMF need not parse the contents of the first container.
The second method comprises the following steps: the terminal sends the first container to an AMF (advanced multicast Filter) through a second NAS message, so that the first container is sent to the PCF through the AMF; wherein the second NAS message is a proprietary NAS message used for the terminal to transmit the UE-related information to the AMF.
Here, the second NAS message is a dedicated NAS message used for the terminal to transmit the UE-related information to the AMF, and referring to fig. 4, after receiving the second NAS message, the AMF may directly perform protocol conversion of the control plane on the second NAS message without detecting the content in the second NAS message, and then send the second NAS message to the PCF. Furthermore, the content in the first container (i.e. the UE-related information) is not visible to the AMF, i.e.: the AMF need not parse the contents of the first container.
In an embodiment, as shown in fig. 7, a first type message is newly added to a Protocol dispatcher in the NAS message structure, and the type of the message may be referred to as: a Policy Data Transfer (Policy Data Transfer) for carrying UE related information in the first container.
According to the technical scheme of the embodiment of the invention, the terminal can send the UE related information encapsulated in the first container to the AMF through the common first NAS message or the proprietary second NAS message; if the AMF receives the first NAS message, the AMF needs to detect the content of the first NAS message, judges whether the first NAS message is a message needing to be sent to the PCF or not, and forwards a first container in the first NAS message to the PCF if the first NAS message is the message needing to be sent to the PCF. If the AMF receives the second NAS message, the AMF can directly judge that the second NAS message is a message which needs to be sent to the PCF without detecting the content of the second NAS message, and forwards the first container to the PCF after carrying out protocol conversion of a control plane.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating a second method for reporting information by a terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the method for reporting information by a terminal is applied to a network side, and as shown in fig. 3, the method for reporting information by a terminal includes the following steps:
step 301: the AMF receives a first container sent by a terminal through NAS information, wherein UE related information of the terminal is packaged in the first container.
Step 302: the AMF sends the first container to a PCF.
In this embodiment of the present invention, the AMF receives, through an NAS message, a first container sent by a terminal, and the AMF sends the first container to the PCF, which may be implemented in the following two ways:
the method I comprises the following steps: the AMF receives a first container sent by the terminal through a first NAS message; the AMF detects the content in the first NAS message, and when the first NAS message comprises the first container, the AMF sends the first container to the PCF.
Here, the first NAS message is a normal NAS message, and referring to fig. 4, the terminal may send the first container and other information, such as context information, to the AMF through the normal NAS message, and after receiving the first NAS message, the AMF detects content in the first NAS message and performs corresponding processing or forwarding according to the content in the first NAS message. And if the first NAS message comprises the first container, the AMF sends the first container to the PCF through a direct connection interface N15. Furthermore, the content in the first container (i.e. the UE-related information) is not visible to the AMF, i.e.: the AMF need not parse the contents of the first container.
The second method comprises the following steps: the AMF receives a first container sent by the terminal through a second NAS message; wherein the second NAS message is a proprietary NAS message used for the terminal to transmit the UE-related information to the AMF; the AMF sends the first container to the PCF.
Here, the second NAS message is a proprietary NAS message used for the terminal to transmit the UE-related information to the AMF, and referring to fig. 4, after receiving the second NAS message, the AMF may directly perform protocol conversion of the control plane on the second NAS message and send the second NAS message to the PCF without detecting the content in the second NAS message. Furthermore, the content in the first container (i.e. the UE-related information) is not visible to the AMF, i.e.: the AMF need not parse the contents of the first container.
