If it is necessary to measure the rainfall from the beginning of the rain, it is necessary to fill the collection tank 2 with water before the rain, and to start the third motor 701 to mix the water with sand deposited and adhered to the bottom inside the collection tank 2, then to open the second solenoid valve 14 to discharge dirty water, then to close the second solenoid valve 14, and to open the first solenoid valve 13 to wait for the arrival of the rain. When the actual rainfall after the second electromagnetic valve 14 is closed is H0, it is represented that the height of the water level in the measuring cylinder 9 is H1 ═ H × S + V1-V2)/S, and the value on the scale can be calibrated by the formula, so that the scale value corresponding to the water level line is the same as the actual rainfall value, thereby facilitating reading.
