A yarn constant tension device based on gravity comprises a pressing plate, a yarn storage device and a counterweight device; the pressing plate is positioned above the yarn storage device and can move up and down; the counterweight device is arranged at the bottom of the yarn storage device; the yarn storage device comprises a yarn storage wheel, a brake drum, a brake device, a vertical rod, a crank and a pull rod; yarns are wound on the yarn storage wheel and are output to a yarn inlet of a knitting machine or a yarn laying machine through the top of the vertical rod and the pressing plate; the yarn storage wheel is fixed on the shell of the brake drum, a brake device is arranged in the brake drum, the brake device is connected with a pull rod, the pull rod is hinged with a crank, and the crank is hinged with a vertical rod; the pressing plate can press the top of the vertical rod when moving downwards. The high-performance three-dimensional circular weaving machine and the cylindrical silk spreading machine which are required in the production of composite materials need yarns with constant tension, and due to the large quantity of the yarns, if a single-yarn constant tension device used by a traditional fiber winding machine is adopted, the machine cost is very high, the space occupied by the constant tension devices and the power consumption are also very large, and the relatively simple magnetic powder brake type tension device cannot recover the constant tension of the yarns and cannot be used for the cylindrical silk spreading machine.

the yarn storage device comprises a yarn storage wheel 17, a brake drum 18, a spring 25, a vertical rod yarn guide 15, a vertical rod 16, a crank 21 and a pull rod 24; the yarn storage wheel is wound with yarn, and the yarn 4 is output to a yarn inlet of a knitting machine or a yarn laying machine through a yarn guide 15 and a corresponding yarn guide 14 on a pressing plate 13; an inner hole of the yarn storage wheel 17 and a shell of the brake drum 18 are only provided with left and right coarse threads 23 with large screw pitches, the yarn storage wheel 17 is fixed on the shell of the brake drum 18 and rotates along with the brake drum 18, a shoe brake is arranged in the brake drum 18, a friction plate 27 is arranged on the outer side of a brake shoe 26, a rotating handle 29 of the brake shoe 26 can swing around a rotating shaft 28 connected with a fixed shaft 20, and the inner side of the brake shoe 26 is hinged with a pull rod 24; the brake shoe 26 is pressed by the spring 25 to contact with the inner wall of the brake drum to generate braking force;
the yarn guide above the yarn storage wheel is arranged at the top end of a vertical rod, the vertical rod is inserted into a guide pipe 19 fixedly connected with the brake shaft, and the lower part of the vertical rod is connected with a connecting rod through a hinge; when the pressure plate 13 does not act on the top of the vertical rod 16, the brake shoe 26 is pressed by the spring 25 to rub against the inner side of the brake drum 18, so that the brake drum cannot rotate relative to the fixed shaft 20; when the top end of the vertical rod 16 is pressed by the pressing plate 13, the vertical rod 16 moves downwards relative to the brake shaft 20 and pushes the crank 21, the lower end of the vertical rod 16 directly pushes the long arm 22 of the crank 21, the short arm of the crank 21 pulls the brake shoe 26 to move inwards through the pull rod 24 to counteract the acting force of the spring 25 so as to reduce the braking force, and the yarn storage wheel 17 rotates under the action of gravity to release yarns and enable the whole yarn storage device to descend;
to reduce the control force of the vertical rod 16, the ratio of the long arm to the short arm of the crank 21 is as large as possible.
The specific working mode of the device is that before a new product is ready to be knitted by a knitting machine or before a thread laying head of a thread laying machine is ready to perform a new primary thread laying action, a control computer of the knitting machine or the thread laying machine sends a signal to a servo device for driving a pressing plate 13 to lift, the pressing plate 13 is driven to move downwards to press a vertical rod 16 of a thread storage device to force the thread storage device to release threads, and after the pressing plate 13 reaches a lower end stop position, the servo device quickly moves upwards to the top; the tension of the yarn 4 supplied outside the storage wheel 17 is now equal to half the weight of the storage wheel plus counterweight, and the fluctuations in yarn tension are very small for machines with low yarn feed rates.
The specific brake type can also adopt an electromagnetic type or other mechanical types. In order to improve the control sensitivity and simplify the mechanical structure design, a storage battery can be arranged on the yarn storage wheel, the vertical rod can be made into a fixed type, and a proximity switch or a microswitch is arranged at the top of the vertical rod to control the electromagnet to pull the brake shoe.
