The working principle of the invention is as follows:
the water tank is filled with clear water, the motor is started to drive the conveying belt and the cylindrical sieve, chestnuts to be sorted and classified are poured into the water tank through the feeding groove, because the density of empty chestnuts, worm-eaten chestnuts and mildewed chestnuts is lower than that of water and floats on the water surface, the chestnuts are picked up and sorted by a manual strainer and other tools, the normal chestnuts are higher than that of water and sink into the water, the chestnuts are conveyed out of the water tank by the conveying belt and fall into the chute, then the chestnuts automatically flow to the cylindrical sieve and are pushed forward by the spiral blades, the small-sized chestnuts fall from small holes in the front half section to form secondary chestnuts, the middle-sized chestnuts fall from large holes in the rear half section to form middle-sized chestnuts, and finally the remaining chestnuts are discharged from the tail end of the cylindrical sieve to form the first-class chestnuts. Thus, the automatic sorting and grading of the Chinese chestnuts are realized.
The invention has compact structure, less transmission parts and changeable size, is suitable for being made into large-scale equipment for processing Chinese chestnuts in a factory in a large scale, is also suitable for being made into small-scale machines for common people to use at home, and meets the requirement of temporary sorting.
Therefore, the invention can quickly and efficiently remove empty fruits, rotten fruits, moth-eaten fruits or cracked fruits in the Chinese chestnuts, automatically grade the empty fruits, the rotten fruits, the moth-eaten fruits or the cracked fruits according to the sizes, has simple and refined machine structure, is suitable for sorting and grading occasions of different scales, and is beneficial to popularization.

The sorting and roguing precision of Chinese chestnuts, air-dried Chinese chestnuts and empty Chinese chestnuts reaches 99 percent, the roguing precision of split Chinese chestnuts reaches 93 percent, and the roguing precision of Chinese chestnuts reaches 82 percent.
The grading effect is as follows: the classification precision of the small fruits reaches 95%, the classification precision of the small fruits is about 80% and the classification precision of the big fruits reaches 95% when a small part of the big fruits are mixed in the medium fruits.
