Technical Field

Background
During machining, such as turning or grinding of an outer cylindrical surface, the actual diameter of the part needs to be detected to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the part. The method is commonly used for direct measurement, a vernier caliper is adopted, and the detection precision is about 0.01mm, or an external micrometer is adopted, and the detection precision can reach 0.001mm magnitude. Both of these methods have two disadvantages:
