Referring to fig. 1 to 2, fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of an electronic device 10 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, and fig. 2 is an exploded structural diagram of the electronic device 10 in fig. 1.
The electronic device 10 provided in the embodiment of the present application may be a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a television, a smart watch, and the like, and the following description only takes the mobile phone as an example. As shown in fig. 1 to 2, the electronic device 10 may include: a display module 100 and a rear case 200. The display module 100 may be used to provide an image display function for the electronic device 10, and a user may also perform a human-computer interaction with the electronic device 10 through the display module 100. The rear case 200 may be connected to the display module 100, and the rear case 200 may be disposed on a side of the display module 100 deviating from the image display side, which may be used to protect the display module 100. In this embodiment, the display module 100 may have an advantage of a smaller black edge, and the screen occupation ratio of the display module 100 is improved.
All directional indications (such as up, down, left, right, front, and rear … …) in the embodiments of the present application are only used to explain the relative positional relationship between the components, the movement, and the like in a specific posture (as shown in the drawings), and if the specific posture is changed, the directional indication is changed accordingly. Furthermore, the terms "include" and "have," as well as any variations thereof, are intended to cover non-exclusive inclusions. For example, a process, method, system, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of steps or elements is not limited to only those steps or elements listed, but may alternatively include other steps or elements not listed, or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus.
Referring to fig. 3 to 5, fig. 3 is a partial sectional view of the display module 100 of fig. 1 along v-v, fig. 4 is a schematic sectional view of the cover plate 110 of fig. 3, and fig. 5 is a schematic sectional view of the cover plate 110 and the display panel 120 of fig. 1 along v-v.
As shown in fig. 3, the display module 100 may include: a cover plate 110, a display panel 120, and a coupling ring 130. The cover plate 110 may be disposed to overlap the display panel 120, which may serve to protect the display panel 120. The connection ring 130 may be disposed on a circumferential side of the cover plate 110, which may be used to protect the cover plate 110 and the display panel 120. In this embodiment, after the connecting ring 130 is connected to the peripheral side of the cover plate 110, there is no overlapping area with the cover plate 110 in the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110, so that the problem that the connecting ring 130 forms a black edge on the cover plate 110 due to the overlapping area between the connecting ring 130 and the cover plate 110 in the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110 can be avoided, and the screen occupation ratio of the display module 100 is improved. It is understood that the peripheral side may specifically refer to a side surface of the cover plate 110 parallel to the thickness direction X thereof.
The cover plate 110 may be disposed to be stacked with the display panel 120, and the cover plate 110 may be located at a light emitting side of the display panel 120. Meanwhile, the cover plate 110 may have light transmittance, so that light emitted from the display panel 120 can pass through the cover plate 110 for transmission, thereby implementing an image display function of the display module 100. For example, the cover plate 110 may be made of glass or sapphire, so that the cover plate 110 may have not only excellent light transmittance, but also certain structural strength to protect the display panel 120. Of course, the material of the cover plate 110 is not limited thereto, and it is only necessary that the cover plate 110 has light transmittance and can satisfy the light transmittance required for realizing image display.
Since the cover plate 110 has light transmittance, in order to prevent the internal structure of the electronic device 10 from being exposed outside the electronic device 10 through the cover plate 110, the cover plate 110 may also be partially transparent to shield the internal structure of the electronic device 10. As shown in fig. 4 to 5, the cover plate 110 may be provided with a light-transmitting region 111 and a non-light-transmitting region 112 connected to each other, and the light-transmitting region 111 may be used for transmitting light emitted from the display panel 120, and the non-light-transmitting region 112 may be used for shielding internal structures of the electronic device 10. The non-light-transmitting area 112 may also be disposed around the light-transmitting area 111, and the non-light-transmitting area 112 may be formed by spraying ink or silk-screen black on the cover plate 110, so that the non-light-transmitting area 112 can shield the internal structure of the electronic device 10. Alternatively, the design of the non-light-transmissive region 112 may be adjusted according to the position of the internal structure that needs to be shielded by the electronic device 10, and is not limited to being disposed around the light-transmissive region 111.
The display panel 120 may be used to realize an image display function of the electronic device 10, and the display panel 120 may be bonded and fixed to the cover plate 110 by using an optical adhesive, so that the display panel 120 and the cover plate 110 may be stacked. The Display panel 120 may be an OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) panel, or may be an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panel. As shown in fig. 5, the display panel 120 may be provided with a display area 121 and a non-display area 122 which are contiguous. The display area 121 may be disposed within a coverage area of the light-transmitting area 111, and the display area 121 may be the same as the light-transmitting area 111 in size, and may display an image, so that image light emitted from the display area 121 can be transmitted from the light-transmitting area 111 to the outside of the electronic device 10. The non-display area 122 may be used for wiring, and the non-display area 122 may be disposed within a coverage of the non-transmissive area 112, so that the non-transmissive area 112 blocks the wiring in the non-display area 122. Meanwhile, the peripheral side of the non-display region 122 may be inwardly retracted with respect to the peripheral side of the non-light-transmitting region 112, so that the display panel 120 may be spaced apart from the connection ring 130, thereby maintaining a safe interval between the display panel 120 and the connection ring 130.
Referring to fig. 6 to 9, fig. 6 is a schematic cross-sectional structure of a display module 100 according to some embodiments, fig. 7 is a partially enlarged view of a portion a in fig. 3, fig. 8 is a schematic cross-sectional structure of another portion of the display module 100 along v-v in fig. 1, and fig. 9 is a schematic cross-sectional structure of another portion of the display module 100 along v-v in fig. 1.
As shown in fig. 6, in some embodiments, the housing 160 may be provided with a step surface 161 for placing the cover plate 110, so that the cover plate 110 may be placed on the step surface 161 to be fixedly assembled with the housing 160. However, since the step surface 161 is disposed to overlap the cap plate 110 in the thickness direction X of the cap plate 110, the step surface 161 of the case 160 may form a corresponding black edge on the cap plate 110. On the basis, the total width of the black edge formed on the cover plate 110 is the width D1+ of the non-display area 122, the distance D2+ between the non-display area 122 and the casing 160, and the width D3 of the step surface 161, so that the width of the black edge formed on the cover plate 110 is larger, and the screen occupation ratio of the display module 100 is reduced. In order to solve the foregoing problem, the connecting ring 130 provided in the embodiment of the present application can eliminate the design of the step surface 161 without affecting the assembly with the cover plate 110, so as to reduce the width of the black edge on the cover plate 110 and improve the screen occupation ratio of the display module 100.
In particular, the attachment ring 130 may serve to protect the cover plate 110, reducing the probability of the cover plate 110 breaking when dropped. As shown in fig. 7 to 8, the connection ring 130 may be disposed on a side of the non-light-transmitting region 112 away from the light-transmitting region 111, that is, on a peripheral side of the cover plate 110, and the connection ring 130 may also be disposed around the cover plate 110. Wherein, a glue structure 140 may be disposed between the connection ring 130 and the non-light-transmitting region 112 to adhere the connection ring 130 and the cover plate 110, so as to achieve a fixed assembly therebetween. So, the area that does not have the overlap with apron 110 in the thickness direction X of apron 110 of connecting ring 130 to can avoid having the overlap area because of connecting ring 130 on apron 110 thickness direction X with apron 110, and lead to connecting ring 130 to form the problem of black limit on apron 110, reduce the black limit width that forms on apron 110, improve the screen of display module assembly 100 and account for the ratio. Furthermore, since the peripheral side of the display panel 120 is recessed with respect to the peripheral side of the cover plate 110, the connection ring 130 may also be disposed opposite to and spaced apart from the display panel 120 to form a gap 131 between the connection ring 130 and the display panel 120. The gap 131 may be used to maintain a safe distance between the connection ring 130 and the display panel 120, and may also be used to provide an escape space for the adhesive fixation of the connection ring 130 and the cover plate 110.
Since the connection ring 130 is only bonded and fixed with the cover plate 110 through the peripheral side of the cover plate 110, that is, the side of the non-light-transmitting area 112 away from the light-transmitting area 111, in order to ensure the bonding strength between the connection ring 130 and the cover plate 110, a glue dispensing opening 132 is further provided between the connection ring 130 and the non-light-transmitting area 112, so as to accommodate more glue structures 140 by using the glue dispensing opening 132, thereby improving the bonding strength between the connection ring 130 and the cover plate 110. The glue structure 140 may be formed by dispensing glue into the glue dispensing opening 132 through the gap 131 when the connecting ring 130 and the cover plate 110 are assembled. As shown in fig. 7 to 8, the cover plate 110 may be provided with a first surface 113 facing the connection ring 130, and the connection ring 130 may be provided with a second surface 133 facing the first surface 113. The distance D4 between the first surface 113 and the second surface 133 may be increased in a direction away from the cover plate 110 of the display panel 120, so as to form the dispensing opening 132 communicating with the gap 131 between the first surface 113 and the second surface 133.
Specifically, the first surface 113 and the second surface 133 may be both planar, and an angle formed by the first surface 113 and the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110 may be greater than 0 ° and less than or equal to 45 °, such as 15 °, 30 °, 45 °, and the like, so that the first surface 113 may be disposed obliquely with respect to the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110 to achieve an increment of the distance D4 in the direction of the display panel 120 away from the cover plate 110. Meanwhile, since the first surface 113 is already obliquely disposed, the second surface 133 may be parallel to the thickness direction X of the cap plate 110, i.e., the angle formed by the second surface 133 and the thickness direction X of the cap plate 110 may be 0 °.
Optionally, in order to further enlarge the dispensing opening 132, an included angle formed by the second surface 133 and the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110 may also be greater than 0 ° and less than or equal to 45 °, such as 15 °, 30 °, 45 °, and the like, so that the second surface 133 may also be disposed obliquely with respect to the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110. Thus, the first surface 113 and the second surface 133 are both disposed obliquely, so that the dispensing opening 132 can be enlarged to accommodate more glue structures 140, and the bonding strength between the connecting ring 130 and the cover plate 110 is improved.
Alternatively, the first surface 113 may be disposed parallel to the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110, that is, the clamping angle formed by the first surface 113 and the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110 may be 0 °, and the included angle formed by the second surface 133 and the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110 may be greater than 0 ° and equal to or less than 45 °, so that the second surface 133 may be disposed obliquely to the thickness direction X of the cover plate 110 to realize the increment of the distance D4 in the direction of the display panel 120 away from the cover plate 110. Alternatively, the first surface 113 and the second surface 133 may also be not limited to be planar, both may also be curved, or one of the two may be planar and the other curved.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 9, in addition to providing a plane and a curved surface, a stepped structure may be provided on a side of the non-light-transmitting region 112 facing the connection ring 130, so that the first surface 113 of the cover plate 110 facing the connection ring 130 may have a horizontal plane and a vertical plane which are connected to increase a contact area between the glue structure 140 and the first surface 113, thereby improving the bonding strength between the connection ring 130 and the cover plate 110. Optionally, a stepped structure may be disposed on a side of the connection ring 130 facing the non-light-transmitting region 112 to increase a contact area between the cement structure 140 and the second surface 133, so as to further improve the bonding strength between the connection ring 130 and the cover plate 110.
Alternatively, in order to avoid the glue structure 140 flowing out from the side of the cover plate 110 facing away from the display panel 120 before being cured, the minimum value of the distance D4 between the first surface 113 and the second surface 133 may be 0, i.e. there may be areas where the connection ring 130 and the non-light-transmissive area 112 are in contact or abutting. Of course, the minimum value of the distance D4 may be slightly larger than 0 to maintain the assembly gap between the cover plate 110 and the connecting ring 130, which is not limited in this embodiment.
Further, in order to form a sufficient glue structure 140 between the connection ring 130 and the non-light-transmitting region 112, the connection ring 130 may also be provided with a glue reservoir 134. As shown in fig. 7 to 8, the glue storage groove 134 may be disposed on a side of the connection ring 130 facing the display panel 120, and the glue storage groove 134 may be disposed adjacent to the dispensing opening 132. When the glue structure 140 of the dispensing opening 132 overflows from the dispensing opening 132, the glue storage slot 134 may be used to accommodate the overflowed glue structure 140, so as to reduce the probability that the overflowed glue structure 140 flows to the display panel 120 while increasing the amount of glue between the connection ring 130 and the non-light-transmissive region 112.
Referring to fig. 10 to 12, fig. 10 is a partial cross-sectional view of the electronic device 10 along v-v in fig. 1, fig. 11 is a partial enlarged view of B in fig. 10, and fig. 12 is a partial cross-sectional view of the middle frame 150 along v-v in fig. 1.
The display module 100 may further include a middle frame 150, the middle frame 150 may be connected to the connection ring 130, and the cover plate 110, the connection ring 130, and the middle frame 150 may further jointly enclose an accommodation space 101 for accommodating the display panel 120. Specifically, the cover plate 110 and the display panel 120 may be bonded and fixed by using an optical adhesive, so that the cover plate 110 and the display panel 120 may be stacked. The cover plate 110 may be made of glass or sapphire, and the cover plate 110 may have a transparent region 111 and a non-transparent region 112 connected to each other. The light-transmitting area 111 may be used for transmitting image light emitted from the display area 121 of the display panel 120, the non-light-transmitting area 112 may be used for shielding traces of the display panel 120 disposed in the non-display area 122, and the non-light-transmitting area 112 may be formed by spraying ink or silk-screen black on the cover plate 110. Meanwhile, the peripheral side of the display panel 120 may also be retracted relative to the peripheral side of the cover plate 110, i.e., the side of the non-light-transmitting region 112 away from the light-transmitting region 111. The connecting ring 130, the cover plate 110 and the display panel 120 stacked together are placed in the positioning fixture, and the connecting ring 130 may be disposed on the periphery of the cover plate 110 and spaced apart from the display panel 120, so that a gap 131 may be formed between the connecting ring 130 and the display panel 120. Wherein, the cover plate 110 has a first surface 113 facing the connection ring 130, the connection ring 130 has a second surface 133 facing the first surface 113, and a distance D4 between the first surface 113 and the second surface 133 increases in a direction of the display panel 120 departing from the cover plate 110, so as to form a dispensing opening 132 communicating with the gap 131 between the first surface 113 and the second surface 133.
And S30, injecting glue into the glue dispensing opening from the direction of the gap to connect the cover plate and the connecting ring.
And S40, providing a middle frame, and fixedly bonding the middle frame and the connecting ring.
When the connection ring 130 and the cover plate 110 are glued in the spot gluing, the gap 131 can be used to provide an escape space for the spot gluing operation to glue the position between the first surface 113 and the second surface 133 from the side of the display panel 120 facing away from the cover plate 110, so that the glue structure 140 is formed in the glue opening 132, and the connection ring 130 and the cover plate 110 are fixed in an adhesion manner. With such an arrangement, the difficulty of dispensing operation can be reduced, and compared with dispensing from one side of the cover plate 110 departing from the display panel 120, redundant adhesive residue is not easily formed on the outer surface of the cover plate 110 departing from the display panel 120, and the subsequent complexity of removing the adhesive residue is reduced. An assembly groove 151 may be provided on one side of the middle frame 150, and when the middle frame 150 is not assembled with the connection ring 130, glue may be dispensed in the assembly groove 151. The coupling ring 130 may be provided with a coupling portion 135 engaged with the assembly groove 151, and the coupling portion 135 may be disposed in the assembly groove 151 to be adhesively fixed with the middle frame 150. In this way, the middle frame 150, the connection ring 130 and the cover plate 110 may jointly enclose the accommodation space 101 for accommodating the display panel 120.
