Detailed Description
In order to make the technical solutions of the present disclosure better understood by those skilled in the art, the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only some embodiments of the present disclosure, not all embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments disclosed herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.
In 3GPP TS 23.501, a method of connecting to an S-NPN through a Non-3GPP InterWorking Function (N3 IWF) Function is defined. This approach is generally only for S-NPN networks. Although reference may also be made to the S-NPN method for the case of PNI-NPN to let the User Equipment (UE) connect into the PNI-NPN. For example: when the UE is in the roaming network, the UE is firstly connected to the N3IWF in the home network through the tunneling technology and then connected to the NPN through the N3 IWF. However, this method has the following disadvantages: (1) for the roaming area network, the service type carried in the tunnel connecting the UE to the N3IWF is invisible to the roaming area network, so that the roaming area network is inconvenient to provide corresponding service quality guarantee for the roaming area network. (2) When a plurality of users need to be connected to the same PNI-NPN at the same time under the same base station (or the same routing area or the same tracking area), respective tunnels still need to be established, and the resource utilization efficiency is reduced.
How to provide quality of service guarantee for a UE in a roaming area network and improve resource utilization efficiency is a problem to be solved by the present disclosure.
The concept of the communication method provided by the present disclosure is to initiate registration to an Access Management Function entity (AMF) of a roaming location according to first auxiliary information registered by a UE at a home location. When the UE finds that the first auxiliary information is not permitted in the roaming area network, the UE carries the first auxiliary information specially carried on the home area network to initiate registration again. The AMF allocates second assistance information and related resources, and notifies the UE of the mapping between the first assistance information and the second assistance information. When the other UE applies for registration to the AMF based on the first auxiliary information, the established mapping relation and related resources can be directly used.
In a first aspect, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a communication method for a first UE, where as shown in fig. 1, the method includes:
step S110, a first registration request is initiated to a first AMF of a roaming area network, wherein the first registration request carries first auxiliary information specially used on a home area network;
step S120, when the first auxiliary information and the mapping value thereof in the roaming area network are not permitted, initiating a second registration request to the first AMF, where the second registration request carries the first auxiliary information and the first network information, so that the first AMF allocates the mapping value and the network resource to the first auxiliary information according to the first auxiliary information;
the first auxiliary Information includes Single Network segment Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI) subscribed in the home Network, and the first Network Information includes a Network identifier of the first Network in the home Network.
The technical scheme of the present disclosure can solve the problem of low resource utilization efficiency caused by the fact that when a plurality of users are connected to the same PNI-NPN at the same time, respective tunnels still need to be established. Therefore, for convenience of description in the embodiments of the present disclosure, the first network takes PNI-NPN as an example, and then the first network information is a network identifier of the PNI-NPN in the home network. It should be noted that the first network includes, but is not limited to, a PNI-NPN network, and may also be other network types suitable for the technical solution of the present disclosure.
As described above, in order to connect to the PNI-NPN Network of the home location, the first UE in the roaming Network first initiates a first registration request to the first AMF of the roaming Network with Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (NSSAI) carrying first Assistance Information S-NSSAI # 1. The first AMF returns to the first UE an NSSAI that the user equipment is allowed to use. If the NSSAI returned by the first AMF does not include the S-NSSAI #1 requested by the first UE, the first UE immediately initiates a second registration request to the first AMF with the NSSAI carrying only the S-NSSAI #1, and marks the S-NSSAI #1 as "applied to the PNI-NPN", and includes the network identifier of the PNI-NPN in the home network.
The first registration request and the second registration request are different in that the NSSAI in the first registration request is a set, and is composed of one or more S-NSSAIs, and may include other network slice selection assistance information in addition to S-NSSAI # 1; the NSSAI in the second registration request only carries S-NSSAI #1, and does not contain other network segment selection auxiliary information, and S-NSSAI #1 is labeled as "applied to PNI-NPN", and includes the network identifier of PNI-NPN in the home network. The first AMF receives the second registration request, and may determine that the second registration request is different from the first registration request according to the characteristics of the second registration request, thereby allocating the second assistance information S-NSSAI #2 and related resources to the second registration request, and notifying the first UE of the mapping relationship between S-NSSAI #1 and S-NSSAI # 2.
By adopting the method, the user equipment only needs to slightly adjust the software processing flow on the existing implementation mode, does not need to newly add hardware equipment or greatly modify the processing logic, does not have the problem of compatibility of new and old versions, and is convenient to implement in the existing network.
Further, as shown in fig. 2, the communication method further includes:
step S130, when the first auxiliary information is already permitted in the roaming area network, in response to receiving the second auxiliary information replied by the first AMF and the mapping relationship between the second auxiliary information and the first auxiliary information, connecting to a network resource of the first network in the home network.
If the AMF directly replies the S-NSSAI #2 and the mapping relation between the S-NSSAI #2 and the S-NSSAI #1 when the first UE sends out the first registration request carrying the S-NSSAI #1, the second registration request sent by other user equipment is already existed before and the registration is successful. At this time, the first UE may directly use the allocated dedicated resource to connect the network resource of the home network PNI-NPN without performing the registration step again. The problem of low resource utilization efficiency caused by the fact that when a plurality of users need to be connected to the same PNI-NPN at the same time, respective tunnels still need to be established is solved.
It should be noted that the first UE described herein does not specifically refer to only the UE that can issue the first registration request and the second registration request, but rather only indicates a UE role, and the UE role performs the corresponding steps. Any UE may be in the role of the first UE as long as it has the features of the first UE described herein.
In a second aspect, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a communication method for a first AMF, as shown in fig. 3, the method including:
step S210, sending a query to a home network in response to receiving a second registration request, where the second registration request is the second registration request sent by the first UE in any one of the communication methods in the first aspect, and the second registration request carries first auxiliary information and first network information;
step S220, in the query result, if the first auxiliary information of the first UE belongs to a home network and a service corresponding to the first network exists in the home network, allocating second auxiliary information to the first UE;
step S230, notifying the second assistance information and the mapping relationship between the second assistance information and the first assistance information to the first UE.
As described above, the first AMF may determine whether the first registration request or the second registration request is currently received based on a difference between the first registration request and the second registration request. When the first AMF receives the second registration request, it first needs to confirm to the home network whether the first auxiliary information S-NSSAI #1 carried in the second registration request is applied to the PNI-NPN in the home network, and whether the user equipment sending the second registration request subscribes to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service, or whether it is authorized to connect to the corresponding PNI-NPN.
If the S-NSSAI #1 provided by the UE is applied to the PNI-NPN in the home network and the UE subscribes to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service, it indicates that the first AMF of the roamer network can establish mapping for the auxiliary information and allocate related resources. The first AMF allocates a second auxiliary information S-NSSAI #2 in the roaming area network to the user, establishes a mapping relation between S-NSSAI #2 and S-NSSAI #1, and informs the UE of the mapping relation between S-NSSAI #2 and S-NSSAI # 1.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 4, the step S210 specifically includes:
step S211, according to the first auxiliary information in the second registration request, instructing a first network segment selection functional entity NSSF in the roaming destination network to query, to a second NSSF in a home network, whether the first UE belongs to the home network;
step S212, according to the first auxiliary information in the second registration request, instructing a unified data management function entity UMD in the roaming-site network to query, to the UMD in the home-site network, whether the first UE has a service corresponding to the first network information in the home-site network.
The first AMF indicates a Network Segment Selection Function (NSSF) in the roaming place Network to inquire whether S-NSSAI #1 provided by the user equipment is applied to PNI-NPN in the home Network from the NSSF in the home Network. Meanwhile, the first AMF may further instruct a Unified Data Management function (UDM) in the roaming-site network to query, from the UDM in the home network, whether the user equipment is subscribed to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service, or whether the user equipment has an authority to connect to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service. If the S-NSSAI #1 provided by the UE is applied to the PNI-NPN in the home network and the UE subscribes to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service, it indicates that the first AMF of the roamer network can establish mapping for the auxiliary information and allocate related resources.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 5, the step S220 specifically includes:
step S221, establishing a mapping relation between the second auxiliary information and the first auxiliary information;
step S222, allocating corresponding network resources to the second auxiliary information, where the network resources include AMF, session management function entity SMF, and user plane function entity UPF in the roaming area network, which bear network connection of the user equipment to the first network.
The first AMF in the roaming place network not only establishes the mapping relation between S-NSSAI #2 and S-NSSAI #1, but also allocates relevant necessary network resources, realizes connection from a forwarding plane, and realizes unified management from a control plane, solves the problem that the roaming place network is invisible to a bearing service after the user equipment is connected to the home place network, and is convenient for the roaming place network to provide corresponding service quality guarantee for the purpose.
In some embodiments, after step S230, the method further includes:
and in response to receiving a first registration request of the user equipment, notifying the second auxiliary information and the mapping relation between the second auxiliary information and the first auxiliary information to the user equipment, wherein the first registration request carries the first auxiliary information specially used on a home network.
If the first AMF directly replies the S-NSSAI #2 and the mapping relation between the S-NSSAI #2 and the S-NSSAI #1 when the user equipment sends out the first registration request carrying the S-NSSAI #1, the second registration request sent by other user equipment is indicated before, and the registration is successful. At this time, the user equipment can directly use the allocated dedicated resources to connect the network resources of the home network PNI-NPN without performing the registration step again. The problem of low resource utilization efficiency caused by the fact that when a plurality of users need to be connected to the same PNI-NPN at the same time, respective tunnels still need to be established is solved.
In some embodiments, after step S230, the method further includes:
and when all the user equipment using the second auxiliary information leaves the coverage area of the roaming area network, releasing the network resources corresponding to the second auxiliary information.
After the user equipment sends the second registration application carrying the S-NSSAI #1 for the first time, the user equipment applies for the special resource to the AMF of the roaming area network, and other user equipment can also use the special resource through the same S-NSSAI #1, so that the utilization rate of the resource is improved.
However, as the number of applications for the ue increases, the dedicated resources are occupied more and more, and even the resources shared by a plurality of ues cannot be permanently reserved. Therefore, resources that are temporarily unused by the user equipment need to be timely reclaimed.
In the embodiment of the present disclosure, by determining whether there are other ues using the resource after the ue using S-NSSAI #2 leaves the coverage area of the roaming network, that is, after the last ue using S-NSSAI #2 leaves the coverage area of the radio access network allocated with S-NSSAI #2, the first AMF will reclaim the resource related to S-NSSAI #2 and withdraw the S-NSSAI #2 value and its mapping relationship with S-NSSAI # 1.
After the first AMF cancels the S-NSSAI #2 value, if the user equipment carries the S-NSSAI #1 in the first registration request again, the user equipment and the first AMF need to re-execute the application procedure from the first registration request and the second registration request.
In a third aspect, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a UE, as shown in fig. 6, where the UE includes:
a first registration module 310, configured to initiate a first registration request to a first AMF of a roaming-destination network, where the first registration request carries first auxiliary information dedicated to a home network;
a second registration module 320, configured to initiate a second registration request to the first AMF when the first auxiliary information and the mapping value thereof in the roaming destination network are not permitted, where the second registration request carries the first auxiliary information and the first network information, so that the first AMF allocates a mapping value and a network resource to the first auxiliary information according to the first auxiliary information;
wherein the first auxiliary information comprises single network segment selection auxiliary information S-NSSAI which is subscribed in the home network, and the first network information comprises network identification of the first network in the home network.
In order to connect to a PNI-NPN network of a home location, a first UE in a roaming network initiates a first registration request to a first AMF of the roaming network by first registering module 310, first selecting auxiliary information with a network fragment carrying first auxiliary information S-NSSAI # 1. The first AMF returns to the first UE an NSSAI that the user equipment is allowed to use. If the NSSAI returned by the first AMF does not include the S-NSSAI #1 requested by the first UE, the second registration module 320 of the first UE immediately initiates a second registration request to the first AMF with the NSSAI carrying only the S-NSSAI #1, and marks S-NSSAI #1 as "applied to PNI-NPN", and includes the network identifier of PNI-NPN in the home network.
The first registration request and the second registration request are different in that NSSAI in the first registration request is a set, and may include other network fragmentation selection assistance information in addition to S-NSSAI # 1; the NSSAI in the second registration request only carries S-NSSAI #1, and does not contain other network segment selection auxiliary information, and S-NSSAI #1 is labeled as "applied to PNI-NPN", and includes the network identifier of PNI-NPN in the home network.
7, the UE further includes:
the resource obtaining module 330 is configured to connect to a network resource of a first network in the home network in response to receiving second assistance information replied by the AMF and a mapping relationship between the second assistance information and the first assistance information when the first assistance information is permitted in the roaming network.
At this time, the ue may directly use the allocated dedicated resource through the resource obtaining module 330 to connect to the network resource of the home network PNI-NPN without performing the registration step again. The problem of low resource utilization efficiency caused by the fact that when a plurality of users need to be connected to the same PNI-NPN at the same time, respective tunnels still need to be established is solved.
In a fourth aspect, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides an AMF, as shown in fig. 8, including:
a registration home query module 410, configured to send a query to a home network in response to receiving a second registration request, where the second registration request is a second registration request sent by a first UE in any one of the communication methods in the first aspect, and the second registration request carries first auxiliary information and first network information;
an auxiliary information allocation module 420, configured to, in a query result, allocate second auxiliary information to the first UE if the first auxiliary information of the first UE belongs to a home network and a service corresponding to the first network exists in the home network;
an assistance information notification module 430, notifying the first UE of the second assistance information and the mapping relationship between the second assistance information and the first assistance information.
Based on the difference between the first registration request and the second registration request, the first AMF may determine whether the first registration request or the second registration request is currently received. When the first AMF receives the second registration request, the registration home querying module 410 and the auxiliary information allocating module 420 firstly confirm to the home network whether the first auxiliary information S-NSSAI #1 carried in the second registration request is applied to the PNI-NPN in the home network, and whether the user equipment sending the second registration request subscribes to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service, or whether the user equipment has the right to connect to the corresponding PNI-NPN.
If the S-NSSAI #1 provided by the UE is applied to the PNI-NPN in the home network and the UE subscribes to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service, it indicates that the first AMF of the roamer network can establish mapping for the auxiliary information and allocate related resources. The first AMF allocates a second supplementary message S-NSSAI #2 in the roaming area network to the user, establishes a mapping relationship between S-NSSAI #2 and S-NSSAI #1, and notifies the UE of the mapping relationship between S-NSSAI #2 and S-NSSAI #1 through the supplementary message notification module 430.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 9, the registration attribution query module 410 includes:
an NSSF query sub-module 411, configured to instruct, according to the first auxiliary information in the second registration request, a first network segment selection functional entity NSSF in the roaming destination network to query, to a second NSSF in a home network, whether the first UE belongs to the home network;
a UMD query sub-module 412, configured to instruct, by the user according to the first auxiliary information in the second registration request, a unified data management function entity UMD in the roaming-location network to query, to the UMD in the home-location network, whether the first UE has a service corresponding to the first network information in the home-location network.
The first AMF instructs, through the NSSF query sub-module 411, the NSSF in the roaming network to query the NSSF in the home network whether S-NSSAI #1 provided by the user equipment is applied to the PNI-NPN in the home network. Meanwhile, the first AMF further instructs, through the UMD query sub-module 412, the UDM in the roaming-site network to query, to the UDM in the home-site network, whether the user equipment subscribes to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service, or whether the user equipment has permission to connect to the corresponding PNI-NPN network.
10, the auxiliary information distribution module 420 includes:
the auxiliary information mapping submodule 421 is configured to establish a mapping relationship between the second auxiliary information and the first auxiliary information;
a resource allocation sub-module 422, configured to allocate corresponding network resources for the second auxiliary information, where the network resources include the AMF, the session management function entity SMF, and the user plane function entity UPF in the roaming area network, which bear the network connection of the user equipment to the first network.
The first AMF in the roaming area network not only establishes the mapping relationship between S-NSSAI #2 and S-NSSAI #1 through the auxiliary information mapping submodule 421, but also allocates the relevant necessary network resources through the resource allocation submodule 422, thereby not only realizing connection from the forwarding plane, but also realizing unified management from the control plane, solving the problem that the roaming area network is invisible to the bearer service after the user equipment is connected to the home area network, and facilitating the roaming area network to provide corresponding service quality guarantee for this purpose.
In some embodiments, the assistance information notification module 430 is further configured to notify, to the ue, the second assistance information and the mapping relationship between the second assistance information and the first assistance information in response to receiving a first registration request of the ue, where the first registration request carries the first assistance information dedicated to the home network.
If the first AMF directly replies to S-NSSAI #2 and the mapping relationship between S-NSSAI #2 and S-NSSAI #1 through the auxiliary information notification module 430 when the user equipment sends the first registration request carrying S-NSSAI #1, it indicates that there has been a second registration request sent by another user equipment before and the registration is successful.
Further, the AMF further includes:
the resource recycling module 440 is configured to release the network resource corresponding to the second auxiliary information after all the ues using the second auxiliary information leave the coverage area of the roaming destination network.
In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the resource recycling module 440 determines whether there are other ues using the resource after the ue using S-NSSAI #2 leaves the coverage area of the roaming area network, that is, after the last ue using S-NSSAI #2 leaves the coverage area of the radio access network allocated with S-NSSAI #2, the first AMF will recycle the resource related to S-NSSAI #2 and remove the S-NSSAI #2 value and its mapping relationship with S-NSSAI # 1.
After the first AMF cancels the S-NSSAI #2 value, if the user equipment carries the S-NSSAI #1 in the first registration request again, the user equipment and the first AMF need to re-execute the application procedure from the first registration request and the second registration request.
In a fifth aspect, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a communication system, which includes a first UE, a first AMF, and a second AMF,
the first UE corresponding to the first UE is the first UE in the communication method according to any one of the first aspect;
the first AMF corresponding to the first AMF is the first AMF in the communication method according to any one of the second aspects.
The first AMF is further configured to:
if the first auxiliary information carried in the first registration request sent by the first UE is permitted in the roaming area network, replying second auxiliary information to the first UE and the mapping relation between the second auxiliary information and the first auxiliary information so as to enable the first UE to be connected to the network resources of the first network in the home area network.
Further, the communication system further includes: a first network fragment selection functional entity NSSF of the roaming place network, a first unified data management functional entity UMD of the roaming place network, a second NSSF of the home place network and a second UMD of the home place network;
the first AMF is further configured to: after receiving a second registration request of a first UE, according to first auxiliary information carried in the second registration request, instructing the first NSSF to query the second NSSF whether the first UE belongs to the home network, and instructing the first UMD to query the second UMD whether a service corresponding to the first network information exists in the home network for the first UE;
and determining whether to allocate second auxiliary information according to the query result of the first NSSF and the first UMD.
The communication system provided by the fifth aspect of the present disclosure is described below with reference to a specific embodiment.
Fig. 12 is a timing diagram of PNI-NPN carried by the connected home network in the roaming state according to the embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 12, the steps are as follows:
step S501, when a first registration request is initiated to a roaming network by a roaming place, the first registration request carries S-NSSAI #1 which is allocated to the first registration request for PNI-NPN in a home network and is specially used for PNI-NPN.
Step S502, the NSSAI allowed to be used by the UE returned by the first AMF of the roaming-destination network to the first UE does not include S-NSSAI #1 requested by the UE.
Step S503, when the first UE recognizes that the first UE is currently in the roaming network, and the NSSAI received from the first AMF of the roaming network does not include S-NSSAI #1 requested when registration is requested, then the second registration request is re-initiated immediately. Only S-NSSAI #1 is included in the NSSAI in the second registration request, and S-NSSAI #1 is labeled as "applied to PNI-NPN," and includes therein the network identification of PNI-NPN in the home network.
Step S504, the first AMF indicates NSSF in the roaming area networkrNSSF towards home networkhIt is queried whether S-NSSAI #1 provided by the first UE applies to PNI-NPN in the home network.
Step S505, the first AMF indicates the UDM in the roaming area networkrTowards UDM in home networkhQuerying whether the first UE subscribes to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service (or has permission to connect to the corresponding PNI-NPN).
Step S506, if the S-NSSAI #1 provided by the first UE is applied to the PNI-NPN in the home network and the first UE subscribes to the corresponding PNI-NPN network service, the first AMF allocates an S-NSSAI #2 in the roaming network to the first UE, and establishes a mapping relationship between the S-NSSAI #2 and the S-NSSAI # 1.
Step S507, the first AMF returns the S-NSSAI #2 and the mapping relation between the S-NSSAI #2 and the S-NSSAI #1 to the first UE.
Step S508, the first AMF allocates corresponding network resources for S-NSSAI # 2: at least comprising AMFr, SMFr and UPFr for bearing the network connection of the UE to the PNI-NPN.
In step S509, when there is another UE carrying S-NSSAI #1 in the first registration request in the coverage area of the radio access network to which S-NSSAI #2 has been allocated, the first AMF includes S-NSSAI #2 and the mapping relationship between S-NSSAI #2 and S-NSSAI #1 in the NSSAI directly returned thereto.
Step S510, after the last UE using S-NSSAI #2 leaves the coverage area of the radio access network to which S-NSSAI #2 is allocated, the first AMF revokes the S-NSSAI #2 value. I.e., the UE carrying S-NSSAI #1 in the first registration request again thereafter, it needs to be executed from step S501.
According to the communication method provided by the embodiment of the disclosure, according to the registered first auxiliary information of the first UE at the home, the first AMF of the roaming area network initiates registration, the first AMF allocates the second auxiliary information and related resources, and establishes the mapping relation between the first auxiliary information and the second auxiliary information, and when the first AMF is applied for registration by other subsequent UEs based on the first auxiliary information, the established mapping relation and related resources can be directly used, so that the problem that the roaming area network is invisible to the bearer service after the UE is connected to the home network is solved, and the roaming area network provides corresponding service quality guarantee for the roaming area network; and the problem of low resource utilization efficiency caused by the fact that when a plurality of users need to be connected to the same PNI-NPN at the same time, respective tunnels still need to be established is solved.
It is to be understood that the above embodiments are merely exemplary embodiments that are employed to illustrate the principles of the present disclosure, and that the present disclosure is not limited thereto. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications can be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the disclosure, and these are to be considered as the scope of the disclosure.
