技术背景
用于油漆配制的颜料可以颜料粉末形式或作为预配制的混合物诸如颜料糊膏或颜料分散体使用。考虑到易于混合和调节所需色调,预混合的颜料分散体是有用的。
WO 2004/035474涉及一种生产水性分散体的方法,其包括将至少一种硅烷化合物与胶体二氧化硅颗粒混合以形成硅烷化胶体二氧化硅颗粒,将所述硅烷化胶体二氧化硅颗粒与有机粘结料混合以形成分散体。
US 2008/0295738涉及一种生产基本上不包含机粘结料的基本上水性的颜料分散体的方法,其包括将至少一种水溶性或水分散性硅烷化合物与胶体二氧化硅颗粒混合以在水性分散体中形成硅烷化胶体二氧化硅颗粒,接着将所述硅烷化胶体二氧化硅颗粒与有机和/或无机颜料混合以形成基本上水性的颜料分散体。

EP 3239251描述了一种套装调色***,其包含基础油漆组合物,所述基础油漆组合物包含黑色颜料、溶剂和添加剂以及至少一种、优选至少14种含颜料的色调组合物。
为了在这样的调色设备中使用,需要表现出足够储存稳定性的颜料分散体。如果在调色操作中仅消耗了一部分颜料分散体,则供应罐中的剩余部分不应沉淀或改变其粘度,使得在不堵塞设备的情况下安全地用于下个调色操作。此外,对于这样调色的油漆,可能存在这样的问题,即颜料与基础油漆组合物的粘结料和填料组分的连接强度较低,因此容易被洗出,特别是当用于外立面或其他暴露于天气和雨水的表面时。
发明概述
考虑到上述情况,本发明寻求提供一种颜料分散体,其表现出优异的储存稳定性,使得其可在延长的时间内用作调色设备中的颜料供应,并且其允许配制具有良好耐洗出性的调色油漆。
具体地,本发明提供了一种颜料分散体,其包含:
-硅烷改性胶体二氧化硅颗粒;
-有机和/或无机颜料;
-基于颜料分散体的重量,0.1重量%或更多的量的水溶性增稠聚合物,和
-水。
本发明的另一方面涉及颜料分散体用于配制油漆的用途。特别地,颜料分散体可用于给油漆调色,这意味着使油漆着色或改变油漆颜色,例如,以将油漆的颜色调节为现有涂层的颜色。
本发明的又一方面涉及使用所述颜料分散体给油漆调色的方法。优选地,油漆是基于溶胶-硅酸盐的油漆。

下面将对本发明颜料分散体的各成分、所述颜料分散体的制备及其在油漆组合物中的用途进行更详细的描述。
硅烷改性胶体二氧化硅
根据本发明,硅烷改性胶体二氧化硅是指胶体二氧化硅颗粒,通常以二氧化硅水溶胶(水性二氧化硅溶胶)形式提供,其与硅烷化合物反应。硅烷化合物可以与二氧化硅的硅醇基团形成稳定的共价硅氧烷键(Si-O-Si),或可以例如通过胶体二氧化硅颗粒表面的氢键连接至硅醇基团。
以SiO2计,基于颜料分散体的重量,颜料分散体中硅烷改性胶体二氧化硅颗粒的含量例如可以在1至40重量%、优选2至30重量%、更优选2.5至20重量%并且还更优选为3至15重量%的范围内。
通常,硅烷改性胶体二氧化硅颗粒可以固体含量例如为10-80%的预配制的胶体二氧化硅溶胶形式添加,所述预配制的胶体二氧化硅溶胶要么已经作为硅烷改性的分散体提供,要么在颜料分散体的制备过程中与硅烷反应。

胶体二氧化硅颗粒
胶体二氧化硅颗粒可以衍生自例如沉淀法二氧化硅、微二氧化硅(硅灰)、热解法二氧化硅(气相法二氧化硅)或硅胶及其混合物。所述颗粒通常包含在也称为二氧化硅溶胶的胶态水性分散体中。
根据一个实施方案,胶体二氧化硅颗粒带负电。这样的颗粒可以由可溶性硅酸盐源制备,所述可溶性硅酸盐源例如碱金属硅酸盐溶液诸如水玻璃或硅酸铵溶液。可溶性硅酸盐经离子交换以产生聚硅酸,并将pH值升高以确保阴离子胶体二氧化硅颗粒的生长。与例如将固体形式的二氧化硅分散在液体介质中相比,以这种方式制备的溶胶倾向于具有非常少量的聚集二氧化硅颗粒。

胶体二氧化硅颗粒可以具有窄粒度分布,即粒度的低的相对标准偏差。粒度分布的相对标准偏差是粒度分布的标准偏差与平均粒度的比率(以数值计)。粒度分布的相对标准偏差例如可以低于60%(以数值计)、优选低于30%(以数值计)、更优选低于15%(以数值计)。
在二氧化硅溶胶中,胶体二氧化硅颗粒适合地在水性溶剂中,适合地在稳定阳离子(诸如K+、Na+、Li+、NH4 +)、有机阳离子(诸如季铵化合物)或胺(诸如伯、仲或叔胺)或其混合物的存在下以形成水性二氧化硅溶胶。合适的胺和季铵的实例可以在US2003/0066617中找到。然而,也可使用还分散在包括例如与水混溶的溶剂(诸如具有1至4个碳原子的低级醇;丙酮或其混合物)的部分有机的分散体中的胶体二氧化硅,其中有机部分的体积例如可为水和有机物总体积的1至20%、优选1至10%且更优选1至5%。

待与胶体二氧化硅颗粒混合的硅烷化合物例如可以选自有机硅烷,诸如单有机硅烷和包含2至10个硅原子的低聚有机硅烷。优选地,硅烷化合物包括至少一个可水解基团诸如卤素或烷氧基,使得它们能够与二氧化硅颗粒表面的硅醇基团发生缩合反应。
优选的有机硅烷包括通式RxSiX4-x的那些,其中x为0至3的整数,R为通过C-Si键连接于硅原子的有机残基,且X为卤素或烷氧基。在实施方案中,硅烷为单有机硅烷,其中x为1。当x大于1时,每个R可以相同或不同。优选地,每个R具有2至20个碳原子并且包括反应性基团诸如环氧基或碳-碳双键。作为R的反应性基团的优选实例,可以提及环氧基、缩水甘油氧基、缩水甘油氧基丙基、乙烯基和γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基。此外,X优选为氯或C1-4烷氧基且x优选为2或3、更优选为3。也可使用两种或更多种有机硅烷的混合物。也可以使用由两个或更多个有机硅烷分子的缩合形成的低聚硅烷。
硅烷化合物的具体实例包括三甲氧基硅烷、辛基三乙氧基硅烷、甲基三乙氧基硅烷、甲基三甲氧基硅烷;异氰酸酯硅烷诸如三-[3-(三甲氧基甲硅烷基)丙基]异氰脲酸酯;γ-巯基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、双-(3-[三乙氧基甲硅烷基]丙基)多硫化物、β-(3,4-环氧环己基)-乙基三甲氧基硅烷;包含环氧基(环氧硅烷)、缩水甘油氧基和/或缩水甘油氧基丙基的硅烷,诸如γ-缩水甘油氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-缩水甘油氧基丙基三乙氧基硅烷、γ-缩水甘油氧基丙基甲基二乙氧基硅烷、(3-缩水甘油氧基丙基)三甲氧基硅烷、(3-缩水甘油氧基丙基)己基三甲氧基硅烷、β-(3,4-环氧环己基)-乙基三乙氧基硅烷;包含乙烯基的硅烷,诸如乙烯基三乙氧基硅烷、乙烯基三甲氧基硅烷、乙烯基三-(2-甲氧基乙氧基)硅烷、乙烯基甲基二甲氧基硅烷、乙烯基三异丙氧基硅烷;γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三异丙氧基硅烷、γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三乙氧基硅烷、辛基三甲氧基硅烷、乙基三甲氧基硅烷、丙基三乙氧基硅烷、苯基三甲氧基硅烷、3-巯基丙基三乙氧基硅烷、环己基三甲氧基硅烷、环己基三乙氧基硅烷、二甲基二甲氧基硅烷、3-氯丙基三乙氧基硅烷、3-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、异丁基三乙氧基硅烷、三甲基乙氧基硅烷、苯基二甲基乙氧基硅烷、六甲基二硅氧烷、三甲基甲硅烷基氯、六甲基二硅氮烷及其混合物。US 4,927,749公开了可用于本发明的另外的合适的硅烷。
胶体二氧化硅的硅烷改性
硅烷改性可以通过将硅烷化合物与胶体二氧化硅颗粒混合来进行。
根据一个实施方案,硅烷与胶体二氧化硅颗粒例如以0.25至1.5、优选0.3至1.2、更优选0.35至0.8、还更优选0.4至0.8的硅烷与二氧化硅的重量比混合。
替代地,硅烷和胶体二氧化硅的比率也可以根据每单位表面积的分子数来规定。在这种情况下,添加至胶体二氧化硅颗粒中的硅烷的量可以例如适合地为胶体二氧化硅颗粒的每nm2表面积0.1至6、优选0.3至3、更优选1至2个硅烷分子。
根据一个实施方案,胶体二氧化硅颗粒上的至少1%(以数值计)的硅醇表面基团能够结合或连接至硅烷化合物的硅烷基团,例如至少5%、优选至少10%、更优选至少至少30%、甚至更优选至少50%结合或连接至硅烷基团。
硅烷化合物可以在将其与胶体二氧化硅颗粒混合之前稀释,例如用水稀释以形成硅烷和水的预混物,适合地硅烷与水的重量比例如为1:8至8:1、优选3:1至1:3、更优选1.5:1至1:1.5。所得硅烷-水溶液基本上是澄清且稳定的并且易于与胶体二氧化硅颗粒混合。
硅烷和二氧化硅的混合可以在1至13、优选6至12、更优选7.5至11、还更优选9至10.5的pH值下进行。
根据一个实施方案,硅烷与胶体二氧化硅颗粒的混合可以例如在20至95℃、优选50至75℃、更优选60至70℃的温度下连续地进行。硅烷可以在剧烈搅拌下以受控速率缓慢添加至二氧化硅颗粒,所述受控速率例如合适地为每小时0.0至100、优选0至10、更优选0.5至5、还更优选1至2个硅烷分子/nm2胶体二氧化硅表面积(在胶体二氧化硅颗粒上)。硅烷的添加可以持续任何合适的时间,这取决于添加速率、待添加的硅烷的量以及所需硅烷化程度。然而,硅烷的添加可以持续至多5小时、例如至多2小时,直到已经添加了合适量的硅烷。
在实施方案中,可以将硅烷反应物预水解以将烷氧基或卤素基团转化为-OH基团,如例如Greenwood和Gevert在Pigment and Resin Technology,2011,40(5),275-284页中所述。这可以使与胶体二氧化硅表面的反应更有效。
在向胶体二氧化硅颗粒中添加硅烷后,可以在停止添加硅烷后继续混合1秒至30分钟、优选1至10分钟。
除了硅烷化胶体二氧化硅颗粒外,分散体还可以至少在一定程度上包含非硅烷化胶体二氧化硅颗粒,这例如取决于二氧化硅颗粒的尺寸、硅烷与二氧化硅的重量比、混合的硅烷化合物类型和反应条件。
适合地,将至少40重量%、优选至少65重量%、更优选至少90重量%、还更优选至少95重量%且再更优选至少99重量%的胶体二氧化硅颗粒硅烷化。
除了以结合或连接至二氧化硅颗粒表面的硅烷基团或硅烷衍生物形式的硅烷外,分散体还可以至少在一定程度上包含自由分散的未结合的硅烷化合物。适合地,使至少40重量%、优选至少60重量%、更优选至少75重量%、还更优选至少90重量%、甚至更优选至少95重量%的硅烷化合物结合或连接至二氧化硅颗粒表面。
也可以使用预配制的硅烷改性二氧化硅溶胶诸如Nouryon的LevasilTM CC系列。优选的实例是LevasilTM CC 151,它是一种缩水甘油氧基丙基硅烷改性的二氧化硅溶胶,其固体含量为15重量%且平均粒度为5nm。
在其中有机硅烷的R基团包含反应性基团的实施方案中,用于改性胶体二氧化硅的反应条件可引起反应性基团的变化。例如,当反应性基团是环氧基团或包含环氧基团时,可发生水解以形成相应的邻二醇基团。因此,环氧基团变成二醇基团,并且缩水甘油氧基烷基变成3-(1,2-丙二醇)-烷氧基(例如3-(1,2-丙二醇)-丙氧基)。
颜料
对颜料没有特别限制,可以使用任何种类的无机或有机颜料。合适颜料的实例例如描述于Ullmann’s Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry,A 18卷,“Paints andCoatings”章,第4节(Pigments and Extenders)。
优选无机颜料。当与如下所述的硅酸盐油漆一起使用时,颜料优选应该对碱稳定。
合适颜料的实例包括低不透明性白色颜料,其通常也称为“填料”或“增量剂”、高不透明性白色颜料和有色颜料,包括黑色颜料和彩色颜料。此外,也可以使用赋予特殊效果的颜料,诸如金属效果颜料或玻璃片。
低不透明性白色颜料定义为折光指数小于1.7的白色颜料。根据DIN55943,这样的低不透明性白色颜料也称为“白色填料”,或简称为“填料”或“增量剂”。在下文中,这些术语将互换使用。低不透明性白色颜料的相应实例包括白色矿物诸如碳酸钙、硫酸钙、硫酸钡、氧化铝或二氧化硅和各种硅酸盐矿物诸如滑石、高岭土或云母。
高不透明性白色颜料是指折光指数为1.7或更大的白色颜料,其相应实例包括二氧化钛、氧化锌、硫化锌、锌钡白、碱式硫酸铅或碱式碳酸铅。
在下文中,术语“有色颜料”应理解为是指具有不同于白色的颜色的任何颜料,并且具体地包括彩色颜料和黑色颜料。实例包括氧化铁颜料诸如Fe3O4、Fe2O3、FeOOH;氧化铬(III);钴化合物诸如铝酸钴;混合氧化物诸如尖晶石;钒酸铋颜料或钼酸盐颜料和钛酸盐。
也可以使用不同颜料的混合物。在这样的混合物中,低不透明性白色颜料可以作为增量剂与一种或多种高不透明性白色颜料或有色颜料一起包含,以调节色调的整体不透明度和亮度。
对颜料的粒度没有特别限制并且该粒度还可取决于颜料类型。典型的范围是1至10000nm、优选1至5000nm、更优选1至1000nm并且还更优选5至800nm。
基于颜料分散体的重量,颜料的浓度可以在5至85重量%、优选15至80重量%、更优选20至75重量%的范围内。
增稠聚合物
颜料分散体包含水溶性增稠聚合物,所述水溶性增稠聚合物优选具有增稠作用使得聚合物浓度为1.0重量%的聚合物水溶液具有至少500mPa·s的粘度,该粘度用流变仪在20.0℃下测得。
此外,增稠聚合物优选能够通过金属阳离子交联。具体地,金属阳离子可以是存在于例如颜料分散体和/或待与颜料分散体混合的油漆制剂中的多价金属阳离子,并且聚合物链经由配位键和/或离子键与金属阳离子结合。
水溶性增稠聚合物改善了颜料分散体的储存稳定性和如此配制的油漆的颜色耐久性二者,特别是耐候性和耐洗出性。
不希望受理论束缚,据信聚合物分子与二氧化硅颗粒通过氢键的结合和/或粘度增加效果抑制了附聚,因此增加了储存稳定性。
相对于颜料分散体的重量,聚合物的浓度为至少0.1重量%且优选为至少0.2重量%。最大浓度不受特别限制并且可以根据所需粘度适当地选择。通常,浓度为10重量%或更小、优选5重量%或更小、更优选3重量%或更小。特别优选浓度在0.3至2重量%、特别是0.4至1.5%的范围内。
增稠聚合物的实例包括水溶性合成聚合物以及天然聚合物增稠剂或其改性衍生物,诸如蛋白质水解物(例如,明胶)或多糖。
作为水溶性合成聚合物的实例,可以提及聚乙烯醇和(甲基)丙烯酸型聚合物或共聚物。优选任选地与中性乙烯型和/或丙烯酸型单体共聚的聚丙烯酸或其盐诸如聚丙烯酸钠。
多糖可以是天然多糖或化学改性多糖诸如多糖酯或醚,并且可以是非离子的、阴离子的、两性的或阳离子的。
非离子多糖的实例包括半乳甘露聚糖胶诸如瓜尔胶、刺槐豆胶、塔拉胶、香豆胶或肉桂胶、其醚衍生物诸如羟丙基瓜尔胶;纤维素醚诸如羟乙基纤维素(HEC)、甲基羟乙基纤维素(MHEC)、乙基羟乙基纤维素(EHEC)、甲基乙基羟乙基纤维素(MEHEC)、羟丙基纤维素(HPC)、羟丙基甲基纤维素(HPMC)、其疏水改性衍生物诸如HM-EHEC;淀粉和淀粉醚诸如羟丙基淀粉和糊精。
阴离子多糖的实例包括藻酸盐、果胶、透明质酸盐、阴离子树胶(诸如黄原胶、脱氢黄原胶、羟丙基黄原胶、***树胶、刺梧桐树胶或黄蓍胶);或已通过引入阴离子基团改性的多糖诸如羧甲基纤维素(CMC)。
阳离子多糖的实例包括其中已引入叔氨基团或季铵基团的上面列出的非离子多糖,诸如阳离子化纤维素、阳离子淀粉或阳离子瓜耳胶。类似地,两性多糖的实例包括已经通过引入叔氨基团或季铵基团进一步改性的上面列出的阴离子聚合物。
考虑到预防附聚的效果和通过金属阳离子可交联性,多糖优选为阴离子多糖,更优选黄原胶、脱氢黄原胶或羟丙基黄原胶,且还更优选黄原胶。
颜料分散体
颜料分散体可以通过使用合适的混合装置将包含硅烷改性的二氧化硅颗粒的二氧化硅溶胶与颜料和增稠聚合物混合来制备。例如,可将硅烷改性的二氧化硅溶胶放入溶解器中,并且在搅拌下缓慢添加颜料和聚合物。
颜料分散体的总粘度可以通过改变固体含量、增稠聚合物的含量和混合过程的能量输入适当地调节,并且通常可以在500至5000mPa·s、优选1000至3000mPa·s的范围内,该粘度在20.0℃下用旋转流变仪测得。颜料分散体的固体含量通常在10至85%、优选20至75%、更优选25至70%的范围内。
本发明颜料分散体通常可用于需要添加颜料的所有目的。优选地,颜料分散体可用于任何种类的涂料组合物,特别是用于油漆。
用于配制油漆的用途
根据本发明,颜料分散体可用于配制油漆。油漆组合物通常至少包含染料或颜料、用于形成涂膜并粘结颜料的粘结料组分以及溶剂。任选的另外的成分可以包括填料、干燥剂、固化剂或分散剂。
颜料分散体可以在制造油漆时作为初始颜料组分添加,或者可以在后期添加至预制造的含颜料的基础油漆中,以改变或调节其颜色(在下文中也称为“调色”)。例如,所述基础油漆可以用白色颜料配制,所述白色颜料例如低不透明性白色颜料(“填料颜料”)、高不透明性白色颜料或其混合物,并且颜料分散体可以包含有色颜料以赋予油漆颜色。替代地,基础油漆可能已经包包含色颜料,并且添加颜料分散体以对色调进行微调,例如,使得颜色与现有涂层相匹配。优选地,基础油漆至少包含一种或多种填料颜料。
根据本发明,油漆优选为硅酸盐油漆,特别是使用水性溶剂和水玻璃作为粘结料的硅酸盐油漆。
根据DIN 18 363第2.4.1节,硅酸盐油漆可以作为双组分***或单组分***提供。
双组分体系可以是纯无机的,其中第一组分仅包含作为水性溶液的粘结料,通常是钾水玻璃。第二组分包含颜料、填料和任选的添加剂,并以粉末或糊膏的形式提供。使用前将这两种组分混合并均质化。
单组分体系包括常规分散体硅酸盐油漆,所述油漆包含水玻璃、颜料和不超过5重量%的量的有机成分。另一种单组分硅酸盐油漆是溶胶-硅酸盐油漆,其还包括二氧化硅溶胶。这样的油漆分别描述于例如EP 1 222 234和DE 100 01 831中。为了用于本发明,优选溶胶-硅酸盐油漆。
硅酸盐基础油漆组合物
用于本发明的优选的基础油漆组合物包含以下组分:
(A)水玻璃或二氧化硅溶胶与水玻璃的混合物,SiO2与碱金属氧化物的摩尔比为每摩尔碱金属氧化物5至30摩尔SiO2;和
(B)矿物组分,其至少包括填料和任选的高不透明白色颜料和/或有色颜料。
任选地,也可以包含聚合物(C)和/或有机铵化合物(D)。其他任选的组分包括颜料、增稠剂和分散剂以及作为溶剂的水。将基础油漆与一种或多种本发明颜料分散体混合,以赋予或调节最终颜色。
水玻璃(A)
在组分(A)中,在组分(B-1)中在水玻璃中或在水玻璃与二氧化硅溶胶的混合物中SiO2与碱金属氧化物的摩尔比为每摩尔碱金属氧化物5至30摩尔SiO2、优选每摩尔碱金属氧化物15至25摩尔SiO2且尤其优选每摩尔碱金属氧化物20摩尔SiO2。如硅酸盐分析中常见的那样,各组分的量基于氧化物来规定。
水玻璃定义为碱金属硅酸盐的熔体及其水溶液,其可由碱金属碳酸盐和SiO2获得并且以类似于玻璃的方式固化。在硅酸盐油漆中,水玻璃或水玻璃与二氧化硅溶胶的混合物作为粘结料并产生了硅质涂布材料的特定特性。
在施用后,通过蒸发水并与二氧化碳反应将油漆硅化,即,将粘结料转化为可能包括基材组分的水不溶性硅质网络。这导致具有高透气性的非常硬的涂层。所用水玻璃通常通过将石英砂与碱金属碳酸盐熔融来制备。
水玻璃的碱金属氧化物例如为氧化锂、氧化钠或氧化钾。氧化钾是优选的,因为它比氧化钠具有更低的风化趋势并且比氧化锂便宜。基于硅酸盐油漆的总重量,碱金属氧化物的含量优选为0.5至3重量%、尤其优选为0.5至0.8重量%。最优选碱金属氧化物的含量为0.5重量%。
如上所解释,二氧化硅溶胶是胶体二氧化硅颗粒的水性分散体。优选地,使用碱性二氧化硅溶胶。另外,10%至50%的固体含量是优选的。此外,二氧化硅溶胶有利地具有小于10nm的平均粒度。优选地所用二氧化硅溶胶的特征还在于非常均匀且精细的分布谱。可以使用与上文关于颜料分散体的硅烷改性胶体二氧化硅颗粒所述相同的二氧化硅溶胶。
基于硅质涂布材料的总重量,水玻璃或水玻璃与二氧化硅溶胶的混合物的含量优选为3至40重量%、尤其优选为15至35重量%。如果使用水玻璃与二氧化硅溶胶的混合物,则基于硅质涂布材料的总重量,二氧化硅溶胶可以3至30重量%的比率存在。
矿物组分(B)
矿物组分(B)通常包括至少一种填料,所述填料是如上定义的折光指数小于1.7的低不透明性白色颜料。
任选地,可以包含一种或多种高不透明性白色颜料和/或一种或多种有色颜料。
在一个实施方案中,基础油漆仅包含一种或多种填料作为矿物组分(B),并且添加颜料分散体以赋予颜色或亮度(在高不透明性白色颜料的情况下)。
在一个替代的实施方案中,基础油漆已经预先配制成具有特定的亮度/颜色,或者基础油漆通过在填料之外分别掺入高不透明性白色颜料或有色颜料来预先配制,并且颜料分散体则用于微调颜色或使颜色与现有涂层相匹配。
填料、高不透明性白色颜料和有色颜料通常与上文关于颜料分散体所述的相同。
优选地,为了赋予光滑且有光泽的表面,填料优选包括碳酸钙。
此外,考虑到涂层抗裂强度的改进,还优选包括片状填料诸如片状硅酸盐(例如云母、高岭石、白云母或绿泥石)。
矿物组分(B)的总量优选在10至45重量%的范围内。
聚合物(C)
可以根据本发明使用的基础油漆还可以包含聚合物。包含聚合物的硅质涂布材料尤其用作分散体硅酸盐油漆。
根据DIN 18363第2.4.1节,分散体硅酸盐油漆最大不得包含超过5%的有机要素(organic element)。然而,不受该DIN指南影响,可以包含其量至多为15重量%、尤其是1至15重量%、优选3至10重量%的聚合物。通常,聚合物以分散体形式掺入硅质涂布材料中。聚合物分散体的固体含量优选为20至80重量%。优选地,聚合物是(甲基)丙烯酸酯均聚物或共聚物或苯乙烯丙烯酸型共聚物。尤其优选(丙烯酸乙基己酯)-甲基丙烯酸甲酯共聚物。
铵化合物(D)
可以将有机铵化合物(D)混合到硅酸盐油漆中以防止凝胶化。适用于此目的的铵化合物描述于DE 100 01 831中并且包括式(I)的化合物:

其中R1、R2和R3独立地表示可以任选地被官能团取代的具有1至20个碳原子的烷基或氢,R4表示具有1至20个碳原子的烷基、氢或-(CH2)x-N+R5R6R7Y-,其中R5、R6和R7独立地表示可以任选地被官能团取代的具有1至20个碳原子的烷基或氢,并且其中R1、R2、R3和R4中的至少一个不为氢,x表示1和6之间的数,且X-和Y-各自表示阴离子。作为烷基的取代基的官能团例如可以是羟基、氨基、硫醇基,优选羟基。对阴离子的选择没有特别限制,只要不降低有机铵化合物的作用即可。例如,阴离子可以是F-、Cl-、Br-、I-或OH-。
尤其优选式(II)的有机铵化合物:
其中R1、R2、R5和R7各自独立地表示具有1至20个碳原子的烷基或氢,R3和R6各自独立地表示具有1至6个碳原子的羟基取代的烷基,x为1和6之间的数,且X-和Y-可以相同或不同并且各自表示阴离子,例如F-、Cl-、Br-、I-或OH-。
式(I)或(II)的烷基优选包含1至6个碳原子;所选实例为甲基、乙基、丙基、异丙基、正丁基、叔丁基、戊基、己基和环己基。具有1至6个碳原子的羟基取代的烷基的所选实例是羟甲基、羟乙基、1-羟丙基和2-羟丙基。
尤其优选的是这样的有机铵化合物,其中R1、R2、R5和R7各自表示甲基,R3和R6各自表示2-羟丙基,x为1和3之间的数,X-和Y-各自为OH-。
基于硅酸盐油漆的总重量,有机铵化合物优选以0.1至3重量%的量包含在硅酸盐油漆中。
其他组分
硅酸盐油漆可以包含附加的组分诸如增稠剂、疏水剂、分散剂和/或消泡剂。
增稠剂的实例包括与上文关于颜料分散体所述相同的增稠聚合物诸如多糖、纤维素或黄原胶,以及无机增稠剂,例如片状硅酸盐诸如膨润土或合成的层状硅酸盐。基于硅酸盐油漆的总重量,其含量可为0.1至5重量%。
例如,疏水剂可以包括聚硅氧烷且尤其是氨基官能的聚硅氧烷。基于硅酸盐油漆的总重量,疏水剂可以0.1至5重量%的量存在。
可以使用的分散剂的实例是四钠-N-(1,2-二羧基乙基)-N-烷基磺基琥珀酰胺。基于硅酸盐油漆的总重量,分散剂优选以0.1至0.5重量%的量存在。
消泡剂的实例包括疏水性硅酸、液态烃、不可离子化的乳化剂和/或合成共聚物。基于硅酸盐油漆的总重量,消泡剂的优选量为0.1至1重量%。
此外,基于硅酸盐油漆的总重量,硅酸盐油漆可以包含水,优选其量为20至50重量%。
实施例
实施例1:颜料分散体的制备和储存稳定性评价
通过将51.95质量%的硅烷改性的二氧化硅溶胶(LevasilTM CC 151,Nouryon,固体含量为15重量%)、48质量%的颜料(氧化铁FeOOH)和0.05质量%的黄原胶混合来制备参考颜料分散体。在室温下使用溶解器混合20分钟。在20℃下使用旋转流变仪(Anton-PaarMC1)测得的粘度大约为1300mPa·s。
此外,以相同的方式制备根据本发明颜料分散体,不同之处在于将黄原胶的含量增加到0.2质量%,并增加混合能量,混合时间为40分钟,以获得相同的初始粘度。
将颜料分散体在室温下储存三个月,并在第2、8、28、90天测量粘度。结果如图1所示。
包含0.2质量%黄原胶的本发明的组合物在整个储存期间保持其外观。从图1中可以看出,粘度首先在第2天略微增加至约2200mPa·s,这可能是因为较高含量的增稠聚合物,然后保持大致恒定。最终粘度大约为2900mPa·s,这易于加工,因此证实了良好的储存稳定性。
另一方面,对于包含0.05%黄原胶的参考组合物,第28天的粘度已超过14000mPa·s并在三个月后达到16000mPa·s的最终值。由于粘度太高,不再可能进行颜料分散体的进一步加工。
实施例2:与常规调色油漆相比的耐候性
以与实施例1中所述相同的方式制备颜料分散体,不同之处在于使用氧化铁红(Fe2O3)作为颜料。无颜料的溶胶硅酸盐油漆用30%的颜料分散体调色。所需色调(色型,color shape)为Color Index PR101。
作为参考物,使用相同的溶胶硅酸盐油漆和包含Color Index PR101的商品颜料分散体来制备常规调色硅酸盐油漆。将颜色调节至相同颜色。
将油漆施用于作为基材的纤维胶合板,让其在室温下干燥一周,并用色度计确定初始颜色。然后经涂布的基材分别根据ISO 11507经受人工气候老化和根据ISO 2810经受自然气候老化(两年)。完成耐候性测试后,确定每种基材的最终颜色,并计算相对于初始颜色的色差ΔE*(CIELAB)。较低的ΔE*值表示颜色变化小。
结果示于下表1中。显而易见的是,用本发明颜料分散体调色的油漆的涂层的色差较小,表明耐候性提高。

实施例3:长期耐候性
通过用根据本发明颜料分散体给无颜料的溶胶硅酸盐油漆调色而制备红色、绿色和蓝色硅酸盐油漆。颜料分散体具有与实施例1中所述相同的组成,不同之处在于分别使用氧化铁红、氧化铬绿和钴铝氧化物蓝(cobalt alumina oxide blue)。
用与实施例2中所述相同的方式用油漆对纤维胶合板进行涂布并根据ISO 2810进行自然耐侯性试验。1年后和5年后对颜色进行测定,确定相对于初始颜色的色差ΔE*(CIELAB)。结果如下表2所示。

结果表明,根据本发明调色的油漆表现出优异的长期耐候性。
实施例4:与使用颜料粉末配制的硅酸盐油漆相比的长期耐候性
典型地用铁氧化物-氢氧化物黄(iron oxide-hydroxide yellow)PY119(Bayferrox,Mapico,Sicotrans)、氧化铁红PR 101(Bayferrox,Mapico,Sicptrans,Nubifer)和钴铝氧化物粉末蓝(cobalt alumina oxide powder blue)PB28(Ferro,Nubicem)颜料着色的黄色、红色和蓝色硅酸盐油漆用作参考物。
使用相同的颜料,如实施例1中所述制备黄色、红色和蓝色颜料分散体,并用于遵循DIN 18363(GranitalTM,Keimfarben)给白色基础硅酸盐油漆调色,使得所得经调色油漆的相应颜色与参考油漆的颜色相同。
用与实施例2中所述相同的方式用油漆对纤维胶合板进行涂布并根据ISO 2810进行自然耐侯性试验,5年后对颜色进行测定,并且确定相对于初始颜色的色差ΔE*(CIELAB)。结果示于下表3中。

结果表明,与用颜料粉末常规调色的油漆相比,根据本发明调色的油漆具有优异的耐候性。
Claims (11)
1.颜料分散体,其包含:
-硅烷改性胶体二氧化硅颗粒;
-有机和/或无机颜料;
-基于颜料分散体的重量,0.1重量%或更多的量的水溶性增稠聚合物,和
-水。
2.根据权利要求1所述的颜料分散体,其包括:
-1至40重量%的所述硅烷改性胶体二氧化硅颗粒;
-10至85重量%的所述颜料;和
-0.1至10重量%的所述水溶性增稠聚合物。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的颜料分散体,其中所述胶体二氧化硅颗粒通过将二氧化硅溶胶与一种或多种具有以下通式的硅烷或其低聚物混合获得:
RxSiX4-x
其中
x为0至3的整数,
R为通过C-Si键连接于硅原子的有机残基,其包含2至20个碳原子和选自碳-碳双键和环氧基团的反应性基团;和
X为氯或C1-4烷氧基。
4.根据权利要求1至3中任一项所述的颜料分散体,其中所述硅烷改性胶体二氧化硅颗粒具有2至150nm的体积平均粒度。
5.根据权利要求1至4中任一项所述的颜料分散体,其中所述颜料具有10至10000nm的体积平均粒度。
6.根据权利要求1至5中任一项所述的颜料分散体,其中所述水溶性增稠聚合物为多糖。
7.根据权利要求6所述的颜料分散体,其中所述多糖选自黄原胶、脱氢黄原胶和羟丙基黄原胶。
8.如权利要求1至7中任一项所定义的颜料分散体用于配制油漆或底漆的用途。
9.用于给油漆调色的方法,其包括将如权利要求1至7中任一项所定义的颜料分散体添加至基础油漆或底漆。
10.根据权利要求9所述的方法,其中所述基础油漆是硅酸盐油漆。
11.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述基础油漆包含:
(A)水玻璃或二氧化硅溶胶与水玻璃的混合物,SiO2与碱金属氧化物的摩尔比为每摩尔碱金属氧化物5至30摩尔SiO2;和
(B)矿物组分,其至少包括填料和任选的高不透明白色颜料和/或有色颜料。
