Abstract

The invention relates to a drawer comprising a wall (2) on which means (13) for fixing an additional second wall and means (5) for fixing an additional third wall are arranged, wherein at least one decorative element (6, 6', 16) is fixed to a surface of the wall (2) and the at least one decorative element (6, 6', 16) is repeatedly adhered to the wall (2) in a removable manner via a first adhesive (30, 30', 40). The wall, in particular the transverse frame, can thus be designed flexibly.

Background

The invention relates to a drawer having a wall on which means for fastening a further second wall and means for fastening a further third wall are arranged, wherein at least one decorative element is fastened to a surface of the wall.

DE 10 2017 121 597 discloses a drawer in which the side frames have an inner core and a thin-walled outer shell which can be glued to the molded part of the core. Thus, the side frames are produced as a stable unit. The adhesion of the housing serves to achieve stability and is not removable, so that it is not possible to replace the housing or parts of the housing later, for example because damage has occurred or the user wishes the side frames to have a different optical design.

DE 20 2014 102 595 U1 discloses a hollow chamber frame for drawers, wherein a separate decorative element can be arranged on the surface of the frame body to which the decorative element is glued. There is also provided an adhesive for permanently fastening a decorative element, and the above-mentioned disadvantages arise.

Disclosure of Invention

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a drawer which is made more flexible on at least one wall and in which damaged surfaces can be replaced more easily without the need to rebuild the entire wall.

This object is achieved by a drawer having the features of claim 1.

According to the invention, the drawer comprises at least one decorative element, which is glued so that it can be repeatedly removed from the wall via the first adhesive. Thus, the decorative element can be removed again from the wall, so that the wall design is more flexible without the wall being damaged by adhesion. Instead, the adhesive remains adhered to the wall or the carrier material and it is possible to fix the decorative element again to the wall via the adhesive after repair or cleaning. This enables easy replacement of the decorative element. The adhesive may remain adhered to the decorative element or wall.

Preferably, the first adhesive is applied on one side of the carrier material. The carrier material may also be bonded to the wall or the decorative element via a second adhesive, which is arranged on the side opposite to the first adhesive. The adhesion of the carrier material to the wall or to the decorative element is higher, preferably at least twice as high, than the adhesion of the first adhesive to the decorative element or to the wall due to the second adhesive. It is thereby ensured that the carrier material remains adhered to the wall or the decorative element when the decorative element is removed.

Preferably, the first adhesive is fixed in the form of a strip to the wall or to the decorative element or to the carrier material. The first adhesive need not be applied over the entire surface of the decorative element, but it is sufficient to only removably secure the various areas of the decorative element. Preferably, the receptacle for the adhesive is provided on the decorative element, for example in the form of a groove or a step, so that the decorative element does not protrude from the wall.

If the double-sided adhesive film is adhered to a wall body or a decorative element for fixing, the decorative element can be easily installed. Then, the adhesive film may remain on the wall body when the decorative element is replaced or when a decorative element having a new adhesive film is used. The adhesive film may use a plastic film or an elastic material as a carrier material, such as foam, so that the decorative element can be fastened to the wall with a certain elasticity.

For fixing the decorative element, the decorative element may have a hook-shaped portion which hangs on the upper side of the wall. The mechanical fixing of the decorative element is supplemented by an adhesive bond to avoid movement of the decorative element relative to the wall during opening and closing of the drawer. The decorative element may have, for example, an integrally formed web which is fastened in a clamping or locking manner to the recess of the wall. The first adhesive preferably has adhesive beads which are arranged almost undetachably on the carrier material or the decorative element in order to be able to repeatedly and detachably pull out the decorative element.

The peel force of the first adhesive on the steel surface is preferably between 2N/100mm and 15N/100mm (ASTM test method D3330M). In contrast, the peel force of the second adhesive on the steel surface may be between 10N/100mm and 100N/100mm (ASTM test method D3330M).

The decorative element is preferably formed as a plate-like wall element, which may also have a bent edge in the upper region and which is made of plastic or metal, for example. The decorative element may also have a three-dimensional structure with steps, ribs, grooves, recesses or other elements. The decorative element may also provide information items about the content and/or may be used as a logo carrier. Preferably, the decorative element is provided with a bend or fold at least in the lower region to strengthen the side wall.

The wall body is preferably formed as a frame body, in particular a hollow chamber frame, and the means for fixing the front panel and the means for fixing the rear wall may be arranged on or in the frame body. Alternatively, the frame body is made of a solid material, for example a wooden material. Then, for example, the second wall is designed as a front panel, and the third wall is a rear wall. Alternatively, the wall may be designed as a front panel or rear wall of the drawer.

Alternatively, the fixing of the decorative element can be achieved by means of an adhesive tape or pad fixed to the frame body or the decorative element.

The drawer is preferably mounted on furniture or household appliances.

Detailed Description

The drawer comprises a drawer frame 1 having a wall in the form of a frame body 2 which is formed substantially in the shape of a plate and has a holder 3 in the lower region, on which a recess 4 for inserting a bottom panel of the drawer is formed. Furthermore, means 5 for fixing the rear wall and means 13 for fixing the front panel on opposite sides are provided on the frame body 2. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the frame body 2 is designed as a hollow chamber frame, however, it is also possible to manufacture the frame body from a solid material, for example from a wooden material or plastic.

The decorative element 6 is fixed on the outside to the frame body 2, which overlaps the frame body 2 with an upper strip-shaped edge 7 on the upper side.

Fig. 2A shows the decorative element 6 and the frame body 2 in an exploded view. The decorative element 6 comprises a plate-shaped side wall 8, for example made of metal or plastic, wherein in a lower region a strip-shaped recess or receptacle 9 is provided for receiving a carrier material 10 with a first adhesive 30. The decorative element 6 is removably fixed to the lower region of the frame body 2 via an adhesive 30 and can be removed again without damage.

The first adhesive 30 adheres to the carrier material 10 to removably secure the decorative element 6. The carrier material 10 can also be bonded to the side of the frame body 2 via a second adhesive 31, wherein the adhesive force of the carrier material 10 on the frame body 2 is significantly higher than on the decorative element 6, so that the carrier material 10 remains on the frame body 2 when the decorative element 6 is removed. Alternatively, the adhesion of the carrier material 10 to the decorative element 6 may be significantly higher than to the frame body 2. In this case, the carrier material 10 remains on the decorative element 6 when the decorative element 6 is removed.

In fig. 2B, a modified decorative element 6' is shown, which is fastened to the frame body 2 in a similar manner to fig. 2A. The decorative element 6 'has only one upper edge 7' which overlaps the upper side of the frame body 2, wherein a short fold is provided on the edge 7 on the side opposite the side wall 8. Furthermore, a plurality of carrier medium mats 10' are provided, which have a first adhesive 30' for fixing the decorative element 6', in comparison with the strip-shaped carrier material 10.

Fig. 3A and 3B show the drawer frame 1 from a front view. The means 13 for fixing the front panel are identifiable in the frame body 2, which are arranged within the wall of the frame body 2. Furthermore, it is evident that the decorative element 6 is formed in an angled shape and that a web 11 is integrally formed on the upper edge 7, which web has a thickened head which is held in a clamping or locking manner in a groove 12 on the frame body 2. Thus, the decorative element 6 may be mechanically fixed to the recess 12 at the upper edge 7 first and then to the side walls of the frame body 2 via the first adhesive 30 laterally, to avoid relative movement between the frame body 2 and the decorative element 6 during drawer movement. In the region of the outer side wall, the decorative element 6 is formed in the region of the receptacle 9 having a relatively thin wall thickness to accommodate the carrier material 10. The carrier material 10 may be formed as a film or of a foam material to fix the decorative element 6 having a certain elasticity to the frame body 2.

The decorative element 6 may be painted as desired or coated on its outside with a film to make it visually attractive. In addition, other coatings may be provided. If the surface of the decorative element 6 is damaged, the decorative element 6 can be removed in the region of the first adhesive 30 simply by pulling the decorative element 6 off the carrier material 10 and the first adhesive 30, and then the web 11 is removed from the recess 12.

Fig. 4A shows a modified embodiment of a decorative element 6 attached to the frame body 2 via a carrier material pad 20 with a first adhesive 40. The carrier material pad 20 may be made of a double sided adhesive film and is capable of securing the decorative element 6 via a second adhesive 41 by a plurality of spaced fastening points. Thus reducing the use of materials. No receptacles or steps for receiving the carrier material pads 20 are provided on the side walls 8 of the decorative element 6, which simplifies the construction. In addition, the decorative element 6 corresponds to the aforementioned exemplary embodiment. In the present exemplary embodiment, the carrier material pad 20 is attached to the decorative element 6.

Fig. 4B and 4C show the modified decorative element 6' shown in fig. 2B attached to the frame body 2 via a carrier material pad 10' with a first adhesive 30 '. The upper edge 7 is reinforced by a downwardly directed fold 21 which overlaps the frame body 2 on the upper side. The curvature 22 is provided on the underside of the side wall 8, which reinforces the decorative element 6'.

In fig. 4D and 4E, the decorative element 6' of fig. 4B and 4C is modified in the lower region in that no bend 22 is provided, but only a fold 23, which extends substantially perpendicularly to the side wall 8.

In the above-described exemplary embodiment, the decorative element 6 is provided on the outer side wall and the upper side of the frame body 2. Of course, the decorative element 6 may not be provided on the entire surface of the outer side and the upper side, but may be provided only on a part. Furthermore, the decorative element 6 can also be fixed detachably to the inside of the drawer frame 1 via an adhesive.

In fig. 5, the decorative element 16, the size of which is reduced, is removably fixed to the frame body 2 by means of an adhesive 10 in a lower region outside the frame body 2. On the surface of the decorative element 16, a marking or information item can be seen, for example about the content of the drawer. The decorative element 16 can be attached reversibly so that it is clearly visible from the outside in a simple manner. The ornamental element 16 is fixed on the frame body 2 in the vicinity of the front panel 15 of the drawer, but may be fixed in another position.

The decorative element 16 is shown in fig. 6 before installation. The decorative element 16 has a carrier material pad 10 'with a first adhesive 30' arranged in a receptacle between the upper thickened portion 17 and the lower inclined edge 18. The edge 18 of the underside is pressed against the underside of the frame body 2.

In fig. 7, the decorative element 16 is shown in an installed position, in which it is fixed to the decorative element 6 on the frame body 2, which is depicted in fig. 3A and 3B. The smaller decorative element 16 is attached on the outside to the decorative element 6, which decorative element 6 is arranged over the entire surface of the outside of the frame body.

The greatest advantage of the carrier material mats 10' and 20 or strips of carrier material 10 is that they can be easily removed without the need for tools and leaving residues behind.

Claims

1. Drawer frame (1), having a wall (2) on which means (13) for fixing a further second wall and means (5) for fixing a further third wall are provided, wherein at least one decorative element (6, 6', 16) is fixed on the surface of the wall (2), characterized in that the at least one decorative element (6, 6', 16) is bonded such that it can be repeatedly detached on the wall (2) via a first adhesive (30, 30', 40), wherein the first adhesive (30, 30', 40) is adhered on one side of a carrier material (10, 10', 20) and a second adhesive (31, 31', 41) is adhered on the opposite side of the first adhesive (30, 30', 40) on the carrier material (10, 10', 20), the second adhesive (31, 31', 41) having a higher adhesion than the first adhesive (30, 30', 40).

2. Drawer frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the carrier material (10, 10', 20) is bonded to the decorative element (6, 6') via the first adhesive (30, 30', 40) or the second adhesive (31, 31', 41).

3. Drawer frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the second adhesive (31, 31', 41) forms the bond between the carrier material and the decorative element (6, 6').

4. Drawer frame according to the preceding claim 1, characterized in that the carrier material (10, 10', 20) is fixed in the form of a strip to the wall (2) or to the decorative element (6, 6').

5. Drawer frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the decorative element (6, 6 ') has receptacles for the carrier material (10, 10', 20).

6. The drawer frame of claim 1, wherein the first adhesive (30, 30', 40) has a peel force on a steel surface of between 2N/100mm and 15N/100mm as measured by ASTM test method D3330M.

7. Drawer frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the second adhesive (31, 31', 41) has a peel force on the steel surface of between 10N/100mm and 100N/100mm measured in ASTM test method D3330M.

8. Drawer frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the decorative element (6', 16) is provided with a bend (22) or fold (18, 23) in the lower region to strengthen the side wall (8).

9. Drawer frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the decorative element (6) has a hook-shaped portion which hangs on the upper side of the wall (2) or which overlaps the upper side of the wall (2).

12. Drawer frame according to claim 1, characterized in that the wall (2) is designed as a hollow chamber frame in or on which means (13) for fixing the front panel and means (5) for fixing the rear wall are provided.
