The invention relates to a seat (1) for a motor vehicle (17), comprising a backrest (3) having a contact surface (5) on both sides of which seat side walls (6) are arranged, wherein at least one ventilation device (7) for sucking in and/or exhausting air is integrated in at least one of the seat side walls (6).
Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a seat for a motor vehicle, comprising a backrest, which has a contact surface that is flanked by seat side walls. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle.
Background
Motor vehicles often provide seats in the interior space on which occupants, including for example the driver and/or other occupants, can sit so as to be able to comfortably stay within the motor vehicle. Such motor vehicle seats are usually divided into two parts and have, for example, a seat cushion part and a backrest which is adjustable relative to the seat part. The neck pillow and/or the head pillow may also be arranged on the backrest.
Another aspect relating to comfort in the interior of a motor vehicle is air conditioning. For this purpose, air conditioning devices (air conditioners) are already known from the prior art, which can be operated, for example, in a fresh air mode and in a circulating air mode. In the fresh air mode, fresh air is drawn in from outside the motor vehicle and, if necessary, is filtered and/or cleaned accordingly and flows into the motor vehicle interior. However, in this way at most only pollutants and/or harmful substances in the room air, such as pollen and/or fine dust/particles, are diluted. In the circulating air mode, although the room air is sucked in and cleaned or filtered, the corresponding suction device is usually arranged in the foot space, in particular on the passenger side, so that no relevant exhaust gas flow is generated in the region of the driver's head which is mainly affected by pollutants and noxious substances. There the particles are neither removed nor specifically fresh air is introduced.
In order to improve the air conditioning of the head region of the occupant, so-called head heaters or head space heaters have only been proposed up to now, which are usually built up between the padding of the motor vehicle seat and the seat frame. Since the structural unit forming the head space heating apparatus is located between the metal seat frame and the occupant, the structural unit can prevent the occupant from being caught in the event of a rear-end collision. Since the shoulder parts of the occupant are not able to enter the seat unhindered here, the head of the occupant is tilted more rearward than in a seat without such a structural unit.
Methods for improving air conditioning in the case of seats have already been proposed in the prior art. For example, CN 106004578A discloses a seat designed for cleaning air in a vehicle. The air cleaning unit is removably disposed on the cushion portion or the backrest portion. The air cleaning filter assembly is arranged in particular at the rear side of the backrest.
CN 110239412 a discloses a car seat with an air filter unit. It should be ensured here that the user is better able to use the filter material. A filter hole is provided on the back of the backrest, and two vent holes are arranged on opposite sides of the backrest.
CN 207772952 a relates to a vehicle seat having an odor absorbing function. Here, the odor should be absorbed by the activated carbon bag. The odor can penetrate into the activated carbon through openings arranged on the outside of the side faces.
CN 208881648A relates to an air purification headrest with a wireless charging system.
US 2016/0009206 a1 relates to a thermal comfort system for a vehicle seat, in which an air flow is directed around the seat in a particular manner and method. The air is discharged laterally, in particular from the headrest, and laterally outside the seat, in order to be sucked in laterally again in the middle of the outside of the seat. A side outlet is provided opposite the seat surface, wherein air is again sucked in the middle between the legs.
A cold and warm headrest for a vehicle is proposed in US 2018/0009349 a 1. Here, during heating of the neck, cold air is directed towards the occiput of the head.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is to provide a seat design which is improved with regard to safety and/or elimination of pollutants and/or contaminants.
In order to achieve this object, according to the invention, in a seat of the type mentioned at the outset, at least one ventilation device for sucking in and/or exhausting air is integrated in at least one seat side wall.
It is therefore proposed to integrate a ventilation device in the seat side wall of the seat for sucking in and/or exhausting air in the direction of or from an occupant sitting on the seat, which offers advantages in terms of safety on the one hand and in terms of effective range on the other hand. On the one hand, the seat side wall is usually not the region which is subjected to load by the occupant during use of the seat, so that a ventilation device which is not integrated in the contact surface region does not have any influence on the usual movement processes and does not displace any foam material in the relevant region which is favorable for movement, for example in the event of a crash. On the other hand, by integrating the ventilation device for air intake or exhaust in the upper region of the seat side wall, it is ensured that allergens such as pollen, fine dust and/or other pollutants and/or harmful substances can be selectively extracted in the vicinity of the respiratory tract or that fresh, clean air can be selectively conducted to the respiratory tract. A particularly preferred embodiment of the invention therefore also provides that the at least one ventilation device is arranged in the upper region of the seat side wall, in particular at the upper end of the seat side wall, and/or at the level of the shoulders and/or neck of an occupant seated in the seat. The air openings for taking in and/or discharging air are thus directed in particular at the head region and/or the region in front of the head of the occupant sitting in the seat.
In this way, the concentration of pollutants and/or harmful substances in the region of the respiratory tract can thus be reduced more rapidly, and the duration of the exposure can be reduced, wherein, for example, in the case of allergens, a reduction in the allergic symptoms is achieved, or in the case of fine dusts or the like, a reduction in the exposure to particles which may damage health is achieved. By moving the entire vent into the side wall, the vent no longer prevents the occupant from being submerged in the event of, for example, a rear-end collision, thereby reducing the consequences of the collision.
In this case, the ventilation device can advantageously be integrated into each of the two seat side walls, in particular symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis of the backrest. In this way, uniform ventilation from both sides is possible.
The ventilation device preferably has a first air opening for taking in and/or discharging air on the front side facing the occupant seated in the seat, which is in particular directed toward the head region and/or the region in front of the head of the occupant. Accordingly, air can be introduced into the head region or the region in front of the head, in order to achieve in particular an improved breathing air for the occupant. The first air opening may have an air directing element, such as a grille with vanes for air conduction, or the like, which is particularly flush with the surface of the seat side wall.
It is particularly advantageous if each ventilation device can have a second air opening on the side of the backrest facing away from the occupant seated in the seat, which second air opening serves for the purpose of discharging air when the first air opening is sucked in and/or for the purpose of sucking in air when the first air opening is discharged. In this way, air is ultimately directed through the seat, for example away from the respiratory tract area of the occupant to the rear side of the seat, or vice versa, to provide filtered air in the respiratory tract area or conditioned air in the head area.
It is therefore also particularly advantageous if the at least one ventilation device further comprises: a filter, in particular a pollen filter and/or a fine dust filter; and/or temperature control means for the air, in particular heating means; and/or a conveying device for air, in particular a fan. Furthermore, the ventilation device may advantageously comprise a freshening device to provide a fragrant scent to the air. When a heating device is used, the at least one ventilation device may form a head heating device (head space heating apparatus). In general, in other words, the ventilation device can be designed "completely" to some extent, which means that other components which fulfil one or more of the purposes of the ventilation device can also be integrated into the seat, in particular into the seat side wall. These components comprise in particular filters for purifying the air, temperature control devices for the air and delivery devices for the air. Alternatively, a freshener is also contemplated.
It is particularly advantageous if the ventilation device is installed in the foam material of the seat side wall. It is particularly advantageous here if the conveying device and/or the temperature control device and/or the filter are also integrated into the foam material. Since in this regard, as previously mentioned, foam is generally not required for padding and/or motion control tasks, integration may prove to be simple and does not compromise occupant safety.
It should also be noted at this point that the seat according to the invention usually also has a cushion part to which the backrest is adjustably connected as is known in principle. Of course, other components of the seat, such as a headrest and/or an armrest, which may also be filled with seat foam, typically a foam material, may also be provided.
In addition to seats, the invention also relates to a motor vehicle having at least one seat of the type according to the invention, to which all embodiments relating to seats can be similarly applied, so that the advantages already mentioned can likewise be achieved with the motor vehicle.
The motor vehicle may advantageously have an air conditioning device with a control device, wherein the control device is designed to actuate at least one ventilation device. In this way, the ventilation device can be integrated into the overall air conditioning solution of the motor vehicle, for example in cooperation with other components of the air conditioning device (air conditioner).
Drawings
Further advantages and details of the invention emerge from the embodiments described below and with reference to the drawings. The figures show that:
figure 1 shows a front view of a seat according to the invention,
FIG. 2 shows a cross-section through a seat sidewall of a seat, an
Fig. 3 shows a motor vehicle according to the invention.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a seat 1 for a motor vehicle according to the invention. As is known in principle, the seat 1 has a seat cushion portion 2 and a backrest 3 which is adjustably mounted relative to the seat cushion portion 2. Furthermore, the seat 1 has a headrest 4 in the present case.
The backrest 3 has an abutment surface 5 in the middle, which is provided by means of a foam material, in particular a conventional foam padding for seats. Two likewise padded seat side walls 6 are connected laterally to the contact surface 5 for the back of the passenger. The ventilation device 7, which has a first air opening 8 on its front side, which forms the actual seat side wall, is now integrated in the uppermost region of the seat side wall 6, which is aligned with the head region of the occupant and/or the region in front of the head. The air opening 8 may comprise an air directing element for diverting the expelled or inhaled air.
For purposes of illustration in greater detail, fig. 2 shows a cross-section of a portion of the seat side wall 6. It can be seen that the ventilation device 7 is integrated into the foam material 9 of the seat side wall 6. For example, the ventilation device 7 can be prefabricated as a structural unit in the housing. The foam material is usually covered at least on the front side by a cover layer, which is made of synthetic leather or textile, for example, and in particular faces the rear side, although other layers than the foam material 9, for example, stabilizing layers (not shown in detail here), can also be provided.
The ventilation device 7 has a second air opening 10 opposite the first air opening 8, that is to say on the rear side of the seat 1. The second air opening 10 is used to suck in air if air is discharged from the first air opening 8, whereas the first air opening 8 is used to suck in air if air is discharged from the second air opening 10. In the present case, the operating direction of the fan 12 provided as the conveyor 11 determines whether to perform the intake operation or the exhaust operation. The air flows through the various active components of the ventilation device 7, which in the present case has a heating device 13 as a temperature control device 14, a filter 15 for filtering out pollen and fine dust, and a refreshing device 16 for adding a scent to the air.
In this way, the ventilation device 7 shown in fig. 1 and 2 can be designed in particular as a head heating device (head space heating), in which air is sucked in on the rear side through the second air opening 10 and pollutants and/or pests are removed by the filter 15, a pleasant fragrance is provided by means of the refreshing device 16, heated by the heating device 13, for example an electric heater, and output through the first air opening 8 in the direction of the head of the occupant. In other embodiments, air containing pollutants and/or pollutants can also be sucked in from the region located in front of the head of the occupant through the first air opening 8 and cleaned by means of the filter 15.
Fig. 3 finally shows a schematic representation of a motor vehicle 17 according to the invention, the motor vehicle 17 in the present case having a seat 1 according to the invention as a driver seat and a passenger seat, respectively, in which two ventilation devices 7 are respectively integrated symmetrically, as shown in fig. 1 and 2. The motor vehicle 17 also has an air conditioning device 18 (air conditioner) which, in addition to further air conditioning components 19, has a control device 20 which is also designed for operating the ventilation device 7, in particular in the form of an overall air conditioning solution.
