Description

Roof with component fastening device
Technical Field
The invention relates to a vehicle roof having a component which is fastened to a support which is arranged on the vehicle roof by means of at least one fastening device, wherein the fastening device connects the component fastening section and the support fastening section to one another by means of a connecting piece.
Background
A roof of this type with a cover arranged in a roof opening is known from DE 10 2008 017 074 B3. The cover has, on its underside, in the region of its two side edges, in each case a longitudinally extending web-shaped flange of the cover inner sheet, which is connected to a cover bracket by means of a plurality of screws, which is assigned to the flange on the one hand and is connected to the roof frame in a movable manner by means of a bearing mechanism on the other hand. Screw holes for mutual screwing are respectively arranged in the flange and the cover bracket. The two threaded bores are arranged in alignment with one another at the screwing point and are penetrated by the screw. The two threaded bores have a diameter such that fine adjustment of the cover can be achieved by corresponding positioning of the flange relative to the cover holder.
In this case, at least the threaded bores in the cover inner plate or flange usually have a significant interference. In order to achieve sufficient prestress and surface pressure in the threaded connection, it is necessary to use bolts with large bolt heads or disc heads or with large shims (for example with a diameter of 15 mm).
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a roof of the generic type with an improved fastening device for fastening a component fastening section to a support.
In the vehicle roof described at the outset, this object is achieved according to the invention by: the fastening device has a socket part which contains a fixing for the connector and which is inserted into a socket part receiving part on the carrier fastening section or on the component fastening section and is held on the socket part in a position which is correct for the position of the connector, and the connector is in a fastening engagement with the fixing of the socket part and with the component fastening section or the carrier fastening section associated with the socket part.
Advantageous configurations of the invention are given in the solution of the invention.
Since the fastening part for the connector is inserted together with the insert part on the insert part receiving part on either the component fastening section or the carrier fastening section and is held on this in a position that is correct for the position of the connector, the fastening part is held securely, in particular securely, against loss or undesired positional displacement during assembly or fastening of the component. Thus, no additional assembly aids or holders are required for the positionally accurate and loss-proof holding of the fastening part.
The support fastening section is provided, for example, on a bracket which is supported by a support mechanism or the like for a cover of the display member of the slide roof. The component fastening section is arranged, for example, on a flange of the component or on a flange of the sheet material in the cover of the cover.
The fixing part is, for example, a thread or a threaded bushing, which is fixedly formed on or mounted in the socket member or is a nut fixed on the socket member. The connection element is, for example, a screw which can be screwed into a thread or into a nut. However, the connector and the securing portion may have other configurations. For example, the connecting element can be a latching pin with latching elements or latching teeth or the like, which can be brought into latching engagement on a fastening part formed as a latching receptacle.
The connecting element is thus in a fastening engagement on the one hand on the fastening part of the cartridge and on the other hand on a component, such as a component flange or a cover flange or a support or a bracket, which is located opposite the cartridge. In the fastened position, the connection piece passes through an opening in the support piece fastening section and an opening in the component fastening section, respectively. The support fastening section and the component fastening section are arranged next to each other such that the two openings form a common through opening for the connection.
The component may also be another part to be mounted on the roof of the vehicle, such as a drive motor for an adjustable cover or the like for a sliding roof or a drive motor for a roller blind arrangement. Such components are fastened, for example, to a rib-shaped or web-shaped carrier of the roof frame. The carrier then contains a ferrule receiving portion for a ferrule.
According to a preferred embodiment, the cartridge receiver supports the cartridge in the assembly transport direction of the component and allows an adjustment movement of the cartridge transversely to the assembly transport direction. The insert part is thus not deflected when the component is transported in the z-direction or in the vertical direction, for example during its assembly. However, the insert part can be moved in the transverse or x-direction for position matching.
Suitably, the cartridge comprises a holding portion which holds and positions the cartridge on the cartridge receiving portion. The holding portion suitably comprises at least one holding foot. The retaining legs enclose the support or member fastening sections. The retaining legs form a receiving gap toward the base body of the insert sleeve and are resiliently preloaded against the support or component fastening section received therein. The elastic preload prevents undesired positional displacement of the insert part during its installation.
In a preferred embodiment, the insert part has a centering guide. The centering guide is provided for centering engagement of the centering base of the component fastening section or the support fastening section. When the component is assembled, the centering guide positions the insert part correctly, so that the connecting piece can establish a correct connection with the fixing part of the insert part.
The centering guide is expediently formed on two retaining legs of the insert part. The two retaining legs are spaced apart from each other and are formed on either side of a recess or opening in the fixture or threads. The two retaining legs expediently have sliding surfaces or centering webs or the like, on which the centering of the respectively engaged component, bearing fastening section or component fastening section of the insert part takes place.
Preferably, the centering base is guided between two retaining legs of the insert part, which in particular form a conical configuration of the centering guide.
A preferred embodiment provides that the cartridge is held by means of guide and latching holders on a cartridge receiver which in particular allows a position of the cartridge oriented transversely to the assembly transport direction to be matched. For assembly or during assembly, the guide and latching holders secure the insert part in a loss-proof manner on the insert part receptacle on the carrier fastening section or the component fastening section. In addition, the guide and latching holder can guide the cartridge for its position matching. The guide and latching holder expediently has for this purpose at least one tab or latching hook or the like, which surrounds or engages from behind the insert part receptacle or the support fastening section or the component fastening section.
In a preferred embodiment, the support fastening section and the component fastening section each have an elongate hole-shaped opening for the connecting piece. The two openings extend substantially at right angles to one another in the fastened position in which they adjoin or lie against one another, in particular in the x-direction and z-direction. The adjustment and setting of the component in its installed position is thereby improved and simplified, since it is possible to use bolts forming the connection with relatively small bolt heads or with small shims, and nevertheless provide the required support surface for the force support of the bolt heads or shims with a sufficient adjustment travel of the component fastening section relative to the carrier sub-fastening section.
Axes and directions as used in the specification refer to three-dimensional x-y-z vehicle coordinate systems, such as "front" and "rear", "upper" and "lower", "outer" and "inner", "horizontal" and "vertical" and "lateral", "transverse" and "longitudinal" or in a transverse direction or y-direction and in a longitudinal direction or x-direction, where x-direction describes a vehicle longitudinal direction, y-direction describes a vehicle transverse direction and z-direction describes a vehicle height direction.

Detailed Description
The motor vehicle, for example a passenger vehicle 1, comprises a roof 2 (see fig. 1) having a vehicle-side opening or roof opening 3, in which a side component 4, for example a cover, is arranged. The cover 4 may be fixedly mounted in the roof opening 3 or be part of an openable roof, for example a sliding roof or a roof for guiding. A roof frame 5 is arranged on the roof, which frame delimits or completely encloses the roof opening 3, for example on both longitudinal sides 6 of the roof opening. According to this embodiment, a guide rail (not shown) is arranged on each side roof frame element 7, on which guide rail a bearing mechanism with a movably supported bearing 8 is arranged (see fig. 3 and 6). The support is, for example, an elongate bracket which extends along the guide rail and on which the cover 4 is fastened in the region inside its side edges 9. The cover 4 can thus be adjusted by means of the support mechanism between a closed position in the roof opening 3 and an open position above or below the rear roof surface 10, for example, with a pivoted-out ventilation position and/or adjoining the roof opening 3.
The support 8 or the bracket comprises at least one support fastening section 11 and, according to this embodiment, three support fastening sections 11 (fig. 6 shows the support fastening section 11 at the rear with respect to the cover 4) which are formed on three flanges 13 of the cover inner sheet 14 in such a way that they are assigned to three component fastening sections 12. The cover inner sheet 14 is fixed to the underside 15 of the cover 4 and the three flanges 13 extend inwardly in the region of the side edges of the cover 4 relative to the side edges 9 thereof and downwardly from the underside 15 thereof.
Such a fastening section 11 of the support 8 or of the bracket has the shape of an elongate, upright, flat bar profile with an opening 16 (see fig. 3) provided therein, which extends horizontally or in the y-direction through the fastening section 11 and is formed in particular as an elongate bore extending in the longitudinal direction or x-direction of the support 8.
Furthermore, the fastening means connecting and fixing the cover 4 to the support 8 comprise a socket 17. The connection or fixation takes place by means of the insert 17 via the respective fastening section 11 on the support 8 or the carrier and via the respective associated fastening section 12 on the respective flange 13 of the inner sheet metal part 14. The insert 17 is inserted into an insert receptacle 18 on the support 8 and is held on this by means of a holding part 19. The holding portion 19 expediently comprises two holding feet 20 spaced apart from one another. Each retaining leg 20 is arranged on an upper edge 22 (see fig. 4) of a plate-shaped base body 23 of the insert part 17 by means of a retaining shoulder 21 and extends downward in the direction of a lower edge 25 of the base body 23, forming a receiving gap 24 between the base body 23 and the retaining leg 20. Each retaining leg 20 is shaped such that it surrounds the support element 8 or the flat bar profile when the insert part 17 is inserted onto the support element, while the support element 8 or the flat bar profile adjoins or bears with its upper edge 26 at a small distance against the retaining shoulder 21.
Each holding leg 20 can be formed with a raised portion directed toward the base body 23 and is flexible such that it is braced by the base body 23 and rests against the base body 23 under clamping pretension by means of the raised portion. The elevation is formed, for example, as a curved abutment section 27 of the holding foot 20, which transitions into a tongue 28 on the lower end 29 of the holding foot 20. The tongue 28 is slightly braced from the body 23 starting from the abutment section 27, so that the receiving gap 24 has a wider opening at its lower entry end, which facilitates the insertion of the insert part 17.
The insert 17 has a guide and/or latching device 30 which is arranged, for example, in the region of the lower edge 25 of the base body 23 and which holds the insert 17 in its insert position on the support 8 in order to prevent lifting or pulling out in the z-direction. The guide and latching device 30 comprises, for example, at least one tab 31 which protrudes inwardly from the base body 23 in such an arrangement and orientation that it engages the flat bar profile of the support 8 from behind at its lower edge 32 and retains the insert part 17 thereon completely or as free of play as possible in the z-direction.
The two stops 33 limit the position of the insert part 17 in both directions of movement or displacement of the insert part 17 along the support part 8 or in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the elongate hole-shaped opening 16 over the movement path of the respective tab 31. A recess 34 is expediently formed on the lower edge 32 of the flat bar profile, on which the tab 31 acts or the tab 31 surrounds the flat bar profile. The two lateral boundaries of the recess 34 form a stop 33 which limits the mobility of the insert part 17 along the flat bar profile in the x-direction.
The socket 17 has a recess or opening 35 and a securing portion 36 (fig. 5) engaging the opening 35 on or in its base 23. The fastening portion 36 is arranged on an outer side 37 of the base body 23 opposite the retaining leg 20. The fastening portion 36 has, for example, a thread which is formed in a sleeve 38 fastened to the base body 23, for example, by plastic injection molding. The fixing portion 36 is used to fix or screw in a connecting member 39 such as a bolt (fig. 10). The opening 35 is located on the base body 23 in such a position that it is arranged on the support element 8 in overlapping relation with the opening 16 or the elongate hole when the insert 17 is inserted on the support element 8 or the insert receptacle 18.
The insert part 17 has a centering guide 40 (fig. 7) which is provided for centering on the fastening section 12 of the flange 13 of the cover inner plate 14. The centering guide 40 comprises two sliding surfaces 41 which are arranged at two opposite and mutually facing inner edges of the retaining leg 20. The distance between the two sliding surfaces 41 of the two holding feet 20 decreases from the holding shoulder 21 in the direction of the tongue 28 or until the lower end of the holding feet 20 is wedge-shaped. The two retaining legs 20 or their sliding surfaces 41 thus form symmetrical wedge-shaped centering guides 40 which bring the insert 17 on the flange 13 of the fastening section 12 of the cover inner sheet material 14 into the centering position. The sliding surface 41 may be formed planarly or convexly spherically curved both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction.
The flange 13 has a flange opening 42 (fig. 6) on its central plate-like fastening section 12, which is formed as an elongated bore extending in the vertical or z-direction. On both sides of the flange opening 42, the fastening section 12 has a pair of centering bases 43, respectively, which are in contact with the sliding surfaces 41 of the centering guides 40 of the insert 17. Each centering base 43 may be formed by a side edge of the fastening section 12 or, according to this embodiment (see fig. 6), may also be formed on a flange wing 44 which is recessed inwardly relative to the fastening section 12 and transitions into the fastening section 12 with a bend 45. The bent portion 45 forms the centering base 43. The curved portion 45 comprises, for example, an inside corner radius 46 at which the centering guide 40 of the retaining leg 20 engages, for example at a centering tab 47 (fig. 4) protruding from the retaining leg 20.
For the assembly or fastening of the cover 4 to the vehicle roof 2, the insert 17 is first inserted with its retaining legs 20 into each fastening point 11 of the support 8. The insert part 17 (see fig. 3 and 8) is held with its holding feet 20 clamped on the fastening points 11 of the support 8 and is clamped underneath by means of the webs 31. The recess 34 limits the position of the tab 31 and thus provides a pre-positioning of the socket 17 such that the opening 35 of the socket 17 is arranged in front of the elongated hole or opening 16 of the support arm 8.
The cover 4 with its flange 13 of the cover inner sheet 14 is brought close to the support 8 in the assembly transport direction, so that the fastening section 12 of the cover 4 is positioned on the fastening section 11 of the support 8 associated with this fastening section. The assembly or transport movement of the cover 4 relative to the support 8 takes place in a direction perpendicular to the assembly transport direction of the support 8 or in the z-direction. The fastening section 12 of the cover 4 enters into the centering guide 40 of the insert 17. As the cover 4 continues to descend, the fastening section 12 is brought into centered sliding contact on both sides with its respective centering base 43 with the sliding surface 41 of the centering guide 40 (fig. 9). The insert 17 here assumes a position which matches the installation position of the cover 4 in the horizontal or x-direction, the circular opening 35 of the insert being arranged at all times in the region of the elongate hole-like opening 16 in the support 8 extending in the x-direction. The flange opening 42, which is formed as a vertically elongated bore, of the flange 13, which contains the fastening section 12, is correspondingly arranged through the circular opening 35 of the insert part 17. Due to the length of the elongate hole-like vertically extending flange opening 42, a fine adjustment of the cover 4 in the vertical or z-direction is possible for height adjustment relative to the roof opening 3 and the roof 2 bounding the roof opening 3.
The screw is inserted as a connecting piece 39 from the inner side of the flange 13 facing the underside 15 of the cover 4 through the flange opening 42 of the fastening section 12 and through the opening 16 in the fastening section 11 of the support 8 and screwed into the thread of the fastening 36 (see fig. 10) until a fixed connection is achieved. The flange opening 42 need only be small in width, which is capable of receiving the diameter of the bolt. The screw head 48 or the spacer is always supported in the horizontal direction on both sides alongside the flange opening 42 on the support surface 49 of the fastening section 12 (fig. 6), irrespective of the vertical position of the flange 13 of the cover 4 relative to the support arm 8. The required tensioning force can be supported by the screw head 48 on the support surface 49 of the fastening section 12.
Since the adjustment of the cover 4 in the x-direction takes place by the x-positioning of the insert part 17 on the support arm 8, this small width of the elongate hole-shaped flange opening 42 is sufficient to ensure the desired adjustment in the x-direction. Thus, neither a large bolt head 48 nor a large shim is required, which is necessary when a wide or large opening in the horizontal or x-direction is provided or an interference opening is provided in the flange 13.
By using bolts or smaller shims with small diameters and small bolt head diameters, the required installation space in the vertical or z-direction on the flange 13 below the cover 4 can be reduced.
The opening 16 shown and described as an elongated hole in the support arm 8 or the fastening section 11 can also be formed as a larger circular opening, which provides the required setting travel. In principle, if the insert part 17 has a rigid base body 23, the opening 16 can also be a recess or depression open on the edge side, which provides a sufficiently firm connection and fastening of the support arm 8 to the flange 13 when it is placed against the support arm 8.
This embodiment shows the attachment of the insert 17 to the bracket or support 8. According to a modified embodiment, the socket 17 is mounted on a flange 13 of the cover 4, which flange has a socket receiving portion 18 corresponding thereto with a horizontal elongate hole, while the support 8 has a vertical elongate hole for receiving a bolt. The adjustment and fixing of the cover 4 is performed in a similar manner and method to the illustrated embodiment.
