The current NB-IOT meter reading system has a gap from the actual demand in technology and price.
There are 2 major problems in the art:
1. the NB-IOT technology belongs to a narrow band, channels which can be accommodated simultaneously are much smaller than 4G and 5G wide bands, meter reading also has the requirements of daily, monthly fixed point and simultaneous operation, so that the NB-IOT module caused by the contradiction is difficult to live in the network when being started, the time length exceeds 40 seconds, even exceeds a plurality of times of overtime, more than 10 modules live in the network simultaneously according to the actual test of people, and even if the setting is wrong, the success rate is generally about 80%.
2. The problem of weak signals is that NB-IOT signals are generally weaker than 4G and 5G signals due to the problem of a base station, the signal transmission power of most of water meters on the market is 11db, the signals are too weak, part of the water meters are transmitted by Bluetooth, the transmission distance is short, and the installation positions of the water meters are generally far away, such as basements, underground and other closed places, so that the received signals are obviously unstable and are neglected.
In price, because the one-to-one SIM is connected with the base station, each module needs to pay on time, the service life of the general module is 8 years, and the SIM card cost and the module account for quite large cost, which is about more than 50%.
