As shown in fig. 1, the input method includes: step 110, step 120, step 130 and step 140.
Step 110, receiving a first input of a user, wherein the first input is used for inputting a character string;
it can be appreciated that when the mobile terminal is working normally, the user can open a chat interactive interface of a target social Application (APP), or open a short message editing interface, and send information to the contact person at the interface.
Alternatively, the user may open a document editing interface of the document application and edit the document at the interface.
Alternatively, the user may open an interface in other applications where text entry is desired.
In each of the above scenarios, information input is required.
When inputting information, at least one candidate word is displayed in the input candidate bar 232 after inputting a character string, and the user selects a target candidate word from the input candidate bar 232 and the target candidate word is displayed in the input box 231.
When the user clicks the control corresponding to the input, information displayed in the input box 231 may be input: for example, in the chat interactive interface, the information displayed in the input box 231 can be sent to the opposite terminal; at the document editing interface, the information displayed by the input box 231 may be edited into a document.
In this step, the first input is used to type a character string, which may include typed characters, or a phrase entered by other means.
Wherein the first input may be represented as at least one of:
first, the first input may be presented as a touch input, including but not limited to a click input, a slide input, a press input, and the like.
In this embodiment, the character string may include typed characters, and receiving the first input of the user may be represented by receiving a touch operation of the keyboard of the mobile terminal by the user.
As shown in fig. 4, where the keyboard is in the form of pinyin 26 keys, the first input may include clicking on "K" and "X" in sequence, and the string may be "kx".
Other patterns such as pinyin 9 key, englist 26 key, or englist 9 key are similar and will not be further illustrated herein.
Second, the first input may appear as a voice input.
In this embodiment, the character string may be a phrase input through voice, and the mobile terminal may display N candidate words on a side screen when receiving voice, such as "unit price", for example: unit price, stretcher, cartridge, singles, etc.
Third, the first input may appear as a physical key input.
In this embodiment, the body of the mobile terminal is provided with an entity keyboard, and the first input of the user is received, which may be represented by receiving the first input of the user pressing the corresponding entity key; the first input may also be a combined operation of simultaneously pressing multiple physical cases.
Step 120, responding to the first input, and displaying N candidate words on a side screen;
in the related art, as shown in fig. 2, when a character string is typed, a candidate word is displayed in an input candidate bar of a main screen, and a drop-down control is displayed at the rightmost side of the input candidate bar, if no target candidate word exists in the current input candidate bar, the drop-down control needs to be clicked, as shown in fig. 3, so that the original whole keyboard area is displayed as the input candidate bar to display more candidate words for selection by a user, and at this time, the main screen does not display a keyboard.
This approach requires the user to toggle between the keyboard and the input candidate bar, affecting the input efficiency.
In the embodiment of the application, the candidate words are displayed on the side screen, so that the main screen 210 is not affected to continue displaying the keyboard, and therefore, the interface does not need to be repeatedly jumped or switched during input, the input is more convenient, and the input efficiency is higher.
The N candidate words are determined based on the character string, and, taking the embodiment shown in fig. 4 as an example, when the input character string is "kx", the N candidate words may include: unfortunately, happy, looking down, learning, etc.
In addition to displaying the candidate words on the side screen, the candidate words are also displayed on the input candidate bar 232 of the main screen 210, so that the display range of the input candidate bar 232 can be enlarged through the side screen, and the main screen 210 is not affected to continue displaying the keyboard.
Displaying the candidate word on the side screen may be represented as at least one of:
first, when receiving the input of clicking the expansion control ">", the candidate word is displayed on the side screen.
Step 110, receiving a first input from a user, including: receiving a first input of a user to a character control on a keyboard;
in this step, the first input is for typing a string, such as in FIG. 4, the first input may include clicking "K" and "X" in sequence, with the string "kx" displayed abbreviated above the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210.
Step 120, in response to the first input, displaying the candidate word on the side screen, including: in response to the first input, displaying a candidate word and an expansion control ">" in an input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210; receiving input of a user on an expansion control ">; displaying candidate words on a side screen in response to the input;
in this step, when the first input is received, the candidate word and the expansion control ">" are displayed in the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210, and the candidate word is not directly displayed in the side screen, and in the case where the candidate word in the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210 has no target candidate word, the user clicks the expansion control ">" and the side screen displays the candidate word.
Take the embodiment shown in fig. 4 as an example: the first input may include clicking on "K" and "X" in sequence, displaying the string "kx" in thumbnail form above the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210, displaying candidate words such as "unfortunately", "happy" in the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210, and displaying the expansion control ">" at the right-most end of the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210.
At this time, the side screen may not display information or continue to display information displayed before the first input is received, such as some characters that are not displayed on the main screen 210 and are used at high frequencies, or other characters or emoticons hidden in the secondary catalog, etc.
In the case that the main screen 210 inputs that the candidate word displayed in the candidate bar 232 has no target candidate word, an input that the user clicks the expansion control ">" is received, in response to the input, other candidate words are displayed on the side screen, a page turning control "﹀" may also be displayed on the side screen, and if the candidate word currently displayed on the side screen has no target candidate word, an input that the user clicks the page turning control "﹀" is received, in response to the input, page turning of the candidate word is implemented on the side screen.
In this way, in the above input method, the side screen determines whether to display the candidate word according to the input of the user, and the user does not need to switch the keyboard of the main screen 210 when selecting the candidate word, so that the input is more convenient and visual.
And secondly, when receiving the input of the user to the character control on the keyboard, automatically displaying the candidate words on the side screen.
Step 110, receiving a first input from a user, including: receiving a first input of a user to a character control on a keyboard;
in this step, the first input is for typing a string, such as in FIG. 4, the first input may include clicking "K" and "X" in sequence, with the string "kx" displayed abbreviated above the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210.
Step 120, in response to the first input, displaying the candidate word on the side screen, including: in response to the first input, candidate words are displayed in the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210 and displayed in the side screen.
In this step, when the first input is received, the candidate word is displayed in the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210, and the candidate word is also displayed directly in the side screen.
Take the embodiment shown in fig. 4 as an example: the first input may include clicking "K" and "X" in sequence, displaying a character string "kx" in a thumbnail manner above the input candidate bar 232 of the main screen 210, displaying candidate words such as "unfortunately", "happy" and the like in the input candidate bar 232 of the main screen 210, wherein the input candidate bar 232 of the main screen 210 has difficulty in displaying all candidate words, displaying other candidate words on the side screen, and displaying a page turning control "﹀" on the side screen, and if there is no target candidate word in the candidate word currently displayed on the side screen, receiving an input of clicking the page turning control "﹀" by the user, and in response to the input, implementing page turning of the candidate word on the side screen.
In this way, in the above input method, when the user character string is input, the candidate bar 232 is directly input on the main screen 210 and the candidate word is displayed on the side screen, so that the user does not need to switch the keyboard of the main screen 210 when selecting the candidate word, and the input is more convenient and visual.
Step 130, receiving a second input of a target candidate word in the N candidate words from a user;
in this step, the second input is used to select a target candidate word from the candidate words.
Wherein the second input may be represented as at least one of:
first, the second input may be presented as a touch input, including but not limited to a click input, a slide input, a press input, and the like.
In this embodiment, receiving the second input of the user may be represented by receiving a click operation of the target candidate word by the user.
As shown in FIG. 4, the keyboard is in the form of pinyin 26 keys and the second input may be in the form of clicking on the target candidate word "happy".
Other patterns such as pinyin 9 key, englist 26 key, or englist 9 key are similar and will not be further illustrated herein.
Second, the second input may appear as a physical key input.
In this embodiment, the body of the mobile terminal is provided with a physical key, and the receiving of the second input of the user may be represented by receiving the second input of the user pressing the corresponding physical key, for example, pressing the right movement key is pressing the confirm key.
Third, the second input may appear as a voice input.
In this embodiment, the mobile terminal may trigger the display of the information input interface upon receiving a voice such as "select second".
And 140, displaying the target candidate words in the target area in response to the second input.
In this step, when the second input is received, the display target candidate word selected by the user is determined, and the target candidate word may be displayed in the target area of the display screen as the information to be determined to be transmitted.
As shown in fig. 2, in the related art, when a character string is typed, a candidate word is displayed in an input candidate bar of a main screen, and a drop-down control "﹀" is displayed at the rightmost side of the input candidate bar, and if there is no target candidate word in the current input candidate bar, the drop-down control "﹀" needs to be clicked, as shown in fig. 3, so that the whole original keyboard area is displayed as the input candidate bar to display more candidate words for selection by a user, and at this time, the main screen does not display a keyboard.
This approach requires the user to toggle between the keyboard and the input candidate bar, affecting the input efficiency.
In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in fig. 4, the candidate words are displayed on a side screen, the main screen 210 may not be affected to continue displaying the keyboard, when the target candidate word is selected from the N candidate words, the drop-down control "﹀" may be clicked, and when the candidate word is found on the side screen, the target candidate word may be directly determined and displayed in the target area. Therefore, the interface does not need to be repeatedly jumped or switched during input, the input is more convenient, and the input efficiency is higher.
According to the input method provided by the embodiment of the application, the candidate words can be rapidly, accurately and conveniently input under the condition that an input interface is not switched by displaying the candidate words on the side screen.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 5, the side screens include a first side screen 221 and a second side screen 222, the first side screen 221 being located on a first side of the main screen 210 and the second side screen 222 being located on a second side of the main screen 210.
The step 120, in response to the first input, displays N candidate words on the side screen, including: the character string is displayed on the first side screen 221, and the candidate word is displayed on the second side screen 222.
Thus, the first side screen 221 is used for magnifying and displaying the character strings displayed in the thumbnail above the input candidate bar 232, and the character strings displayed on the first side screen 221 are arranged up and down, so that the cursor can be conveniently moved; the second side screen 222 is used for expanding and displaying candidate words which cannot be completely displayed at one time in the input candidate bar 232, so that input is facilitated.
After displaying the candidate words on the side screen at step 120, the input method may further include:
receiving user input of the character string on the first side screen 221, and adjusting the position of the cursor in response to the input; user input to a keypad on the home screen 210 is received and the character string is edited at that location in response to the input.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 5, the first input may include clicking the characters "K" and "X" on the keyboard in sequence, displaying the character string "kx" in a abbreviated manner over the input candidate bar 232 of the home screen 210, where the displayed character string is small, inconvenient for the user to edit, such as when the user needs to insert a character between "K" and "X", or when "K" needs to be deleted, it is difficult to move the cursor to the target position on the home screen 210.
In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in fig. 5, the character string "kx" is also displayed on the first side screen 221, and the candidate word is displayed on the second side screen 222. Clicking on the first side screen 221 at a location between the strings "kx" moves the cursor between "kx", i.e., the string can continue to be edited at that location via the keyboard.
Of course, in actual execution, when the user does not find the target candidate word on the input candidate bar 232 of the main screen 210 and the second side screen 222, the user may edit the character string by inputting the character string on the first side screen 221 to adjust the candidate word.
According to the method, the character strings and the candidate words are respectively displayed on the two side screens, so that the character strings can be accurately and quickly edited and the candidate words can be expanded and displayed under the condition that the interface is not switched, and the input efficiency is improved.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 6, displaying the target candidate word in the target region in step 140 includes:
displaying target candidate words in the input frame 231 of the main screen 210 and the display area of the side screen, respectively; the target area comprises an input box and a display area of the side screen.
It should be noted that, the input box 231 and the display area of the side screen are used for displaying information to be input, where the information to be input includes target candidate words.
If the input is the first input, the input box 231 and the display area of the side screen only need to display the target candidate word, for example, "happy" in fig. 6 is the target candidate word, and is also the information to be input.
If the input is not the first input, the information to be input can comprise target candidate words or other characters selected for a plurality of times. If "me" is displayed in the input box 231 before "happy" is input, then "me" is also displayed in the side screen before "happy" is input, and "me happy" is displayed in both the input box 231 and the side screen after "happy" is input.
The information to be input displayed in the input box 231 may need to be edited again, such as the need to delete part of the text in the target candidate word or insert other characters between some two of the text.
The display area of the side screen is used for magnifying and displaying the target candidate words in the input frame 231, and the character strings displayed on the side screen are arranged up and down, so that the cursor can be conveniently moved.
And displaying the target candidate words in the display area of the side screen. Thus, the position to be edited can be determined on the side screen 221, and compared with the smaller input box 231, the operation is more convenient, and the input efficiency is improved.
The embodiment of fig. 6 includes a first side screen 221, where information to be input is displayed in a display area of the first side screen 221, so that a position to be edited can be determined on the first side screen 221, which is more convenient to operate than in the smaller input box 231.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 7, step 140, in response to the second input, displaying the target candidate word in the target region includes:
in response to the second input, a target candidate word is displayed in the target region, and an emoticon associated with the target candidate word is displayed on the side screen.
Wherein the target area may be the input box 231 above the keyboard, in other words, in case a second input of the user is received, the target candidate word is displayed at the input box 231.
The side screen may display an emoticon associated with the target candidate word.
After receiving the second input, determining a target candidate word selected by the user, displaying the target candidate word at the moment, wherein the target candidate word is used as information to be determined to be transmitted, and displaying an expression image associated with the target candidate word on a side screen, wherein the expression image associated with the target candidate word is used for providing the user with selection.
In the embodiment of the present application, the emoticons associated with the target candidate words are displayed on the side screen, so that the main screen 210 is not affected to continue displaying the keyboard, and the emoticons displayed on the side screen are associated with the target candidate words, which is helpful for guiding the user to quickly find the target emoticons.
The expression image is associated with the target candidate word, and the semantics of the expression image and the target candidate word are the same or similar.
The expression image can be in a dynamic form such as an expression image in a static image format or gif or the like or a pigment formed by combining characters.
In the interface shown in fig. 4 or 5, the target candidate word "happy" is clicked, and then as shown in fig. 7, the target candidate word "happy" is displayed in the input box 231, and the expression image associated with "happy" is displayed on the side screen.
According to the method, the expression images are displayed on the side screen, so that the expression images can be effectively displayed under the condition that an input interface is not switched, and a user can input the associated expression images in time, and the use is more convenient.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 8, the side screens include a first side screen 221 and a second side screen 222, the first side screen 221 being located on a first side of the main screen 210 and the second side screen 222 being located on a second side of the main screen 210.
The step 140 of displaying the target candidate word in the target region and displaying the expression image associated with the target candidate word on the side screen includes: information to be input including a target candidate word is displayed in the input box 231 and the first side screen 221 of the main screen, respectively, and an emoticon associated with the target candidate word is displayed in the second side screen.
It should be noted that, the input box 231 and the first side screen 221 are used for displaying information to be input, where the information to be input includes a target candidate word.
If the input is the first input, the input box 231 and the first side screen 221 may only display the target candidate word, for example, "happy" in fig. 8 is the target candidate word.
If the input is not the first input, the information to be input can comprise target candidate words or other characters selected for a plurality of times. If "me" is displayed in the input box 231 before "happy" is input, the first side screen 221 also displays "me" before "happy" is input, and after "happy" is input, both the input box 231 and the first side screen 221 display "me happy".
The information to be input displayed in the input box 231 may need to be edited again, such as the need to delete part of the text in the target candidate word or insert other characters between some two of the text.
The first side screen 221 is used for magnifying and displaying the target candidate words in the input frame 231, and the character strings displayed on the first side screen 221 are arranged up and down, so that the cursor can be moved conveniently.
Receiving input of information to be input on the first side screen 221 by a user, and adjusting the position of a cursor in response to the input; an input of a user pair is received, and in response to the input, information to be input is edited at the location.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 8, the second input may include clicking on the target candidate word "happy", which is displayed in the input box 231 and the first side screen 221, and the second side screen 222 displays the emoticon associated with the target candidate word "happy".
The input box 231 displays information to be input such as "happy" that is not easy for the user to edit, for example, when the user needs to insert a character between "on" and "heart" or delete "on" character, it is difficult to move the cursor to the target position on the home screen 210.
In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in fig. 8, the information "happy" to be input is also displayed on the first side screen 221. Clicking on the position between the "happy" positions of the information to be input on the first side screen 221 can move the cursor between the "happy" positions, i.e. edit the information at the positions through the keyboard, and compared with the smaller input box 231, the operation is more convenient.
In addition, in the method, the expression image is displayed on the second side screen, so that the expression image can be effectively displayed under the condition that an input interface is not switched, and a user can timely input the associated expression image, and the use is more convenient.
According to the method, the information to be input and the expression image are respectively displayed on the two side screens, so that the accurate and rapid editing of the information to be input and the effective display of the expression image can be realized under the condition that the interface is not switched, the user can conveniently input the associated expression image, and the input efficiency is improved.
In some embodiments, the home screen may further include a keypad, and the input method may further include:

Figure BDA0002995285530000111
Etc.
In the related art, if a number needs to be input, a number symbol control needs to be clicked "?123", the home screen 210 switches to display digital characters.
In embodiments of the present application, the target character control may include a numeric symbol control "? 123' and emoticon control
Figure BDA0002995285530000112
Etc., when inputting the target character control, the main screen 210 does not switch the interface, but expands and displays the target character corresponding to the target character control on the side screen.
The representation of the third input may refer to the first input.
Taking the example that the third input appears as a touch input:
in the embodiment shown in fig. 8 and 9, in the interface shown in fig. 8, the first side screen 221 displays the information to be input "happy", the second side screen 222 displays the emoticon associated with "happy", and the third input may include clicking on the numeric symbol control "?123", as shown in fig. 9, the second side screen 222 displays the digital characters, the second side screen 222 may also display a page turning control" ﹀ ", if there is no target character in the digital characters currently displayed on the second side screen 222, an input of clicking the page turning control" ﹀ "by the user is received, and in response to the input, page turning of the digital characters is implemented on the second side screen 222.
At this time, the first side screen 221 may also keep displaying "happy" information to be input, and at this time, in combination with receiving the input of the information to be input from the user on the first side screen 221, the position of the cursor is adjusted in response to the input; user input of a target character on the second side screen 222 is received, and in response to the input, the target character is inserted at the location.
Of course, receiving the third input of the user to the target character control on the keyboard under other interfaces can also realize that the target character corresponding to the target character control is displayed on the side screen.
For example, after waking up the keyboard, click on the numeric symbol control "?123". Numerical characters may be displayed on both the first side screen 221 and the second side screen 222.
According to the method, the target characters are displayed on the side screen, so that the target characters used at relatively low frequency can be effectively displayed under the condition that an input interface is not switched, the use is more convenient, and the input efficiency is improved.
In some embodiments, the input method may further include:
receiving a fourth input of a target control on the side screen by the user;
in response to the fourth input, the character on the side screen is controlled to move from the first area of the side screen to the second area of the side screen.
A plurality of characters can be displayed on the side screen, for example, in an interface shown in fig. 10, 5 characters are displayed on the side screen on each side, and part of the characters (for example, the top 1 and the top @) are far away from the operating finger, so that the characters are difficult to select particularly when operated by one hand; or the characters to be displayed on the side screen are more, and the characters are difficult to be completely displayed at one time.
In the embodiment of the application, the fourth input is used for adjusting the position of the character or realizing page turning of the character.
For example, when there are many characters to be displayed on the side screen and one page is difficult to be displayed completely, the fourth input is used for realizing page turning of the characters; and when the character single page to be displayed on the side screen can be completely displayed, fourth input is used for adjusting the position of the character.
The representation of the fourth input may refer to the first input. The fourth input is described below as an example of a touch input.
Firstly, the characters to be displayed on the side screen are more, and one page is difficult to be completely displayed.
In the interface shown in fig. 10, the first side screen 221 displays numeric characters, the second side screen 222 displays symbolic characters, and the characters in both side screens are not completely displayed.
A target control is displayed at a target position of the first side screen 221 (or the second side screen 222), and the target control may include an upper contact and a lower contact, and clicking the upper contact may implement page-up, clicking the lower contact may implement page-down.
The position of the target control can be arranged in the holding center or can be set to be adjustable, the input of a user dragging the target control is received, and the target control can be dragged to the target position.
And secondly, displaying the character single page to be displayed on the side screen completely.
The target control is displayed at the target position of the side screen, and can comprise an upper contact and a lower contact, the character can be moved to the middle by clicking the upper contact, and the character can be moved to the two ends by clicking the lower contact.
The position of the target control can be set in a holding center, the holding center can be determined based on the holding habit of the user, for example, when the user holds the target control with one hand, the holding center can be the position corresponding to the natural falling point of the thumb of the user on the screen, and in actual execution, the holding area of the user can be acquired through a sensor of the terminal, and the holding center is determined. Of course, the holding center may be set directly as the target position of the side screen, such as 1/2 position or 3/5 position in the longitudinal direction.
Or the target control can be set to be adjustable in position, input of dragging the target control by a user is received, the target control can be dragged to a target position, and the target position is the position finally selected by the user.
Therefore, the user can conveniently operate the terminal with larger size or the terminal with smaller holding hand by adjusting the display position of the characters on the side screen, and one-hand operation can be facilitated.
In some embodiments, the input method may further include:
receiving a fifth input of a user on the setting control;
in response to the fifth input, parameters of the character display on the side screen are controlled.
The above parameters include at least one of the following:
first, the number of characters displayed on the side screen.
As shown in fig. 11, receiving click input of a user on a setting control, displaying a setting interface on a main screen 210, where the setting interface can set the number of characters;
and secondly, the character height displayed by the side screen.
As shown in fig. 11, receiving a click input of a user on a setting control, displaying a setting interface on a home screen 210, where the setting interface can set a character height, and the character height is used for controlling the size of a character;
thirdly, the display proportion between characters displayed by the side screen.
As shown in fig. 11, a user's click input to a setting control is received, a setting interface is displayed on the home screen 210, and the setting interface may set a character display for controlling a display ratio between characters. The character display equality represents that the height of each character is equal; the characters are unequal, the height of the characters is the largest in the middle, and the characters are sequentially reduced, so that the user can click on the characters in the middle conveniently.
Fourth, the main and auxiliary parts of the two side screens are divided.
According to the holding habit of the user, a main side screen 221 and a secondary side screen 222 can be set, for example, if the user holds the first side screen 221 on the left side is set as a main side screen, and the second side screen 222 on the right side is set as a secondary side screen; of course, the user can also be automatically set and memorized according to the holding habit of the detected user, for example, if the left side of the contact acquired by the sensor on the right side is redundant, the user is determined to be held by the left hand.
Fifthly, the side screen defaults to display characters and arrangement positions of the characters.
In the actual use process, when the input method is triggered, the characters used at high frequency can be automatically displayed on the side screen, and the characters which are most commonly used are arranged in the middle of the holding point of the side screen from more to less to two ends.
