Abstract

背景技术
有机发光二极管显示器(Organic Light-Emitting Diode,OLED)是通过OLED发射光以显示图像的自发光显示装置,相对于液晶显示器(LCD)更薄更轻,且具有更高的显示特性,而作为用于便携式电子装置的下一代显示装置而备受瞩目。
通常,OLED器件的主动驱动方式采用电压驱动。对于电压驱动的补偿方式,可分为电学补偿和光学补偿,其中,光学补偿直接以亮度作为补偿对象,补偿后可以实现亮度高度的均一等优点,因此光学补偿被给予厚望,甚至被称为补偿的终极利器。然而,目前的光学补偿技术采用CCD摄像头采集各个像素的亮度进行补偿,这种方法需要较为庞大的设备,因此仅限于厂家出货前做一次性的补偿,无法针对长期使用产品老化造成的亮度差异进行补偿。

本申请中的显示面板、亮度补偿方法和显示装置中,通过光电传感器的设置,能够获取到发光层发出的光因在阵列基板或光学膜层形成的波导光,从而能够根据波导光而对对应的发光层发出的光进行亮度补偿,避免了发光层发出的光出现亮度差异,提升了显示面板的视觉体验。

有机发光二极管显示器(Organic Light-Emitting Diode,OLED)是通过OLED发射光以显示图像的自发光显示装置,相对于液晶显示器(LCD)更薄更轻,且具有更高的显示特性,而作为用于便携式电子装置的下一代显示装置而备受瞩目。
OLED器件的主动驱动方式可包括有电压驱动和电流驱动以及数字驱动等多种方式,其中,由于电压驱动相较于电压驱动和数值驱动,电压驱动结构简单,更适合大尺寸显示,而且驱动速度块。因此,目前,普遍采用电压驱动方式。但是,由于薄膜晶体管(ThinFilm Transistor,TFT)的非均匀性、电源压降以及OLED非均匀性造成的显示亮度不均匀,需要对像素的亮度进行补偿。
针对电压驱动方式的亮度补偿,目前的补偿方式按补偿对象可以分为电学补偿和光学补偿。电学补偿又可以分为内部补偿和外部补偿,内部补偿主要针对TFT Vth进行补偿,外部补偿则可以补偿更多内容,包括TFT Vth、迁移率以及OLED老化。但是这些并不能代表全部的电学参数差异,更不包含电学参数以外的差异事项,因此补偿存在一定的局限性,补偿后的亮度均一性不够好;另外,电学参数补偿都有补偿范围,电学参数均一性较差的补偿后均一性仍然会很差。而光学补偿直接以亮度作为补偿对象,补偿后可以实现亮度高度的均一,因此光学补偿被给予厚望,甚至被称为补偿的终极利器。然而,目前的光学补偿技术采用CCD摄像头采集各个像素的亮度进行补偿,这种方法需要较为庞大的设备,因此仅限于出货前做一次性的补偿,无法针对长期使用产品老化造成的亮度差异进行补偿。
有鉴于此,请参阅图1,本申请实施方式提供了一种显示面板10,显示面板10包括阵列基板12、发光层14、光学膜层16以及光电传感器18。
其中,发光层14位于阵列基板12一侧,阵列基板12用于驱动发光层14发光,发光层14背离阵列基板12的一侧有多个光学膜层16,发光层14发的光在阵列基板12和/或光学膜层16形成波导光,光电传感器18用于获取波导光以根据波导光的数据对发光层14发出的光进行亮度补偿。
本申请实施方式的显示面板10中,通过光电传感器18的设置,能够获取到发光层14发出的光在阵列基板12和/或光学膜层16形成的波导光,从而显示面板10能够根据波导光的数据计算出发光层发出的光之间的亮度差异,并可根据亮度差异对发光层14发出的光进行亮度补偿,使得保证显示面板10的亮度均一性,提升了显示面板10的视觉效果。
相关技术领域人员可以了解,光电传感器18是将光信号转换为电信号的一种器件。其工作原理基于光电效应。光电效应是指光照射在某些物质上时,物质的电子吸收光子的能量而发生了相应的电效应现象。根据光电效应现象的不同可将光电效应分为三类:外光电效应、内光电效应及光生伏特效应。光电传感器18可包括但不限于光电管、光电倍增管、光敏电阻、光敏二极管、光敏三极管、光电池等。
显示面板10为OLED显示面板,显示面板10可通过发光层14发出光,并透过光学膜层16传出显示面板10外,使得用户能够看到显示面板10所显示的图像,又或者,显示面板10可通过发光层14发出光,并分别通过光学膜层16和阵列基板12传出显示面板10外。可以理解地,若发光层14发出的光只通过光学膜层16传输至显示面板10外,则显示面板10为单面显示的显示面板10,若发光层14发出的光通过光学膜层16和阵列基板12传输至显示面板10外时,显示面板10为双面显示的显示面板,也即是,在本申请中,显示面板10既可以单面显示,也可以双面显示。
进一步地,显示面板10既可以为顶发射结构也可以为底发射结构,相关技术领域人员可以了解,底发射结构中,发光层14发出的光只能部分地从驱动面板(TFT)上设置的开口处射出,大部分发光都被浪费,开口率较低。顶发射结构中,发光层14发出的光可从顶部(光学膜层16)出射则不受TFT的影响,开口率有效提高。
阵列基板12和光学膜层16都为透明结构,使得发光层14发出的光可以从阵列基板12和光学膜层16穿出,并在阵列基板12或光学膜层16形成波导光。
发光层14包括多个子发光层,多个子发光层间隔排列,每个子发光层都包括有依次排列的阳极金属层142、电致发光层144以及阴极金属层146,并且,在阳极金属层142和阴极金属层146两电极之间施加电压时,子发光层发光。
在显示面板10为顶发射结构时,阳极金属层142可以由导电的反射材料形成,阴极金属层146可由导电的透光材料形成。在一些具体示例中,阳极金属层142可由镁/银(Mg:Ag)合金形成,阴极可由银/氧化铟锡(Ag/ITO)形成。如此,采用上述反射效果好的材料作为阳极金属层142、透光率高的材料作为阴极,可提高顶发射模式显示背板的外量子效应。
在显示面板10为底发射结构时,形成发光层14的阴极金属层146由导电的不透光材料形成,阳极金属层142由导电的透光材料形成。
光电传感器18可包括多个,每个光电传感器18可对应一个子发光层或多个发光层子。光电传感器18用于接收在阵列基板12中的波导光或接收光学膜层16中的波导光。光电传感器18既可以设置阵列基板12中,也可以设置在光学膜层16中,如此,可以获取到阵列基板12上或光学膜层16中的波导光。可以理解,由于波导光由像素发的光并在阵列基板12或光学膜层16形成,因此,波导光的亮度与子发光层14发出的光的亮度具有一一对应关系,如此,在光电传感器18接收到波导光之后,显示面板10可以根据波导光的亮度而对不同子发光层14发出光的亮度进行针对性的补偿,提升显示面板10的亮度均一性。
请进一步地结合图1,在某些实施方式中,显示面板10为顶发射结构,第一像素定义层121位于相邻两个像素之间,光电传感器18与第一像素定义层121对应设置,发光层14包括贴合于第一像素定义层121表面的第一反射层141,波导光穿射第一像素定义层121并被第一反射层141反射至光电传感器18。
第一像素定义层121可由透光的有机材料形成,具体例如聚甲基丙烯酸乙酯(PMMA)、聚氨酯(PU)等,如此,有效降低第一像素定义层121对波导光的吸收。第一反射层141可以由阳极金属层142的材料相同。
具体地,阵列基板12还包括有平坦化层122和源极漏层123,平坦化层122设置在第一像素定义层121远离发光层14的一侧并和源极漏层123一层,平坦化层122可以为透光有机材料形成,光电传感器18设置在平坦化层122中。发光层14发光时,由于像素的阳极金属层142为反射材料,光线无法穿过阳极金属层142,从而横向传播至第一像素定义层121形成波导光,而第一像素定义层121为透光材料,波导光穿过第一像素定义层121并被第一像素定义层121表面的第一反射层141反射至设置在平坦化层122的光电传感器18中,从而光电传感器18能够检测到波导光。
当然,在其它的一些实施方式中,光电传感器18还可设置在阵列基板12包括的其它有机层中,例如,有源层(active layer)、层间介质层(ILD)、栅极层(GE)等有机层。也即是,只要光电传感器18能获取到波导光即可。
请结合图2,在某些实施方式中,阵列基板12还包括第二像素定义层124,第二像素定义层124设置于第一像素定义层121中,发光层14还可包括第二反射层143,第二像素定义层124表面贴合有第二反射层143,波导光穿射第二像素定义层124并被所述第二反射层143反射至光电传感器18。
可以理解地,由于上述实施方式中,波导光通过第一像素定义层121表面的第一反射层141反射至光电传感器18,而由于第一反射层141设置在第一像素定义层121表面,波导光的传播路径较长,使得光电传感器18接收到的波导光的强度变弱,使得显示面板10依据波导光进行补偿的补偿精度不佳,因此,在第一像素定义层121中设置第二像素定义层124,并且表面贴合有由反射材料的第二反射层143,使得波导光遇到第二像素定义层124表面的第二反射层143被第二反射层143反射至光电传感器18。如此,缩短了波导光的传播路径,使得显示面板10依据波导光的进行补偿的精度变高。
请进一步地结合图2,在某些实施方式中,第二像素定义层124呈倒梯形,第二反射层143包括顶面1432和第一斜面1434,其中,顶面1432设置于第二像素定义层124远离阵列基板12的一侧,第一斜面1434贴合于第二像素定义层124的斜边并与顶面1432连接,波导光穿射第二像素定义层124并通过顶面1432和第一斜面1434反射至光电传感器18。
需要说明的是,第二像素定义层124呈倒梯形是指在如与2所示显示面板10的横截面方向,第二像素定义层124的形状为倒梯形。
如此,波导光可依次从第一像素定义层121、第二像素定义层124穿过并被顶面1432和第一斜面1434反射至平坦化层122中的光电传感器18,使得光电传感器18获取到更多的波导光,使得显示面板10的亮度补偿精度变高。
请结合图3,在某些实施方式中,第二像素定义层124呈倒梯形,第二反射层143包括有顶面1432、第一斜面1434和第二斜面1436,第一顶面1432设置于第二像素定义层124远离阵列基板12的一侧,第一斜面1434和第二斜面1436对称设置在顶面1432的两端并贴合第二像素定义层124,波导光穿射第二像素定义层124至第二斜面1436表面被第二斜面1436反射至光电传感器18。
如此,波导光沿第一像素定义层121传播至贴合第二像素定义层124的第二斜面1436后,被第二斜面1436反射至光电传感器18,进一步地缩短了波导光传播至光电传感器18的路径,提升了波导光的强度,使得显示面板10的亮度补偿精度进一步地提高。
请结合图4,在某些实施方式中,第二像素定义层124呈正梯形,第二反射层143包括有顶面1432和第一斜面1434,顶面1432贴合于第二像素定义层124远离阵列基板12的一侧,第一斜面1434贴合第二像素定义层124的斜面并与顶面1432连接,波导光穿射第二像素定义层124并通过顶面1432反射至光电传感器18。
可以理解,相较于上述实施方式中第二像素定义层124呈倒梯形中顶面1432和第一斜面1434呈锐角的设置,波导光自电致发光层144横向传播至第二像素定义层124并被顶面1432反射后,部分波导光被第一斜面1434阻挡并反射,增加了该部分波导光的路径,而在本实施方式中,第二像素定义层124呈正梯形,由于顶面1432和第一斜面1434的夹角呈钝角,波导光自电致发光层144横向传播至第二像素定义层124并被顶面1432反射后,第一斜面1434可以减少对波导光的阻挡,使得波导光可以直接被顶面1432反射而射入光电传感器18中,因此,光电传感器18能够获取到更多的波导光。
请结合图5,在某些实施方式中,显示面板10为底发射结构,光学膜层16包括依次排列的薄膜封装层162和透光模组层164,其中,透光模组层164设置在薄膜封装层162远离发光层14的一侧,光电传感器18设置于透光模组层164中并位于第二像素定义层124的出光侧方向。
需要说明的是,在显示面板10为底发射结构时,需将第一像素定义层121表面的第一反射层141去除,去除方法可包括激光去除,倒梯形显影剥离,线蒸镀不亲和金属的有机膜层等。或者,第一像素定义层121表面的第一反射层141采用透明材质形成,并且,发光层14包括的阴极金属层146为不透光材质。
具体地,每个第二像素定义层124对应设置有两个光电传感器18,其中,一个光电传感器18与第二反射层143的第一斜面1434对应设置,另一个光电传感器18与第二反射层143的第二斜面1436对应设置。如此,波导光在第一像素定义层121传播中能够被贴合在第二像素定义层124表面的第二反射层143的反射至设置在光电传感器18。
请结合图6,在某些实施方式中,显示面板10还包括电致变色层19,电致变色层19设置于阵列基板12中,电致变色层19用于控制显示面板10双面显示,在等电位或不加电的情况下,电致变色层19为透明状态,在有压差存在的情况下,电致变色层19为遮光状态。
电致变色层19的材料可以为氧化铱(IrO3)、氧化铬(Cr2O3)或氧化铝(Al2O3)任意一种。电致变色层19的厚度可为1.5-2微米。例如,电致变色层19的厚度可以为1.5微米、1.6微米、1.7微米、1.8微米、1.9微米或2.0微米等。
具体地,电致变色层19可设置在平坦化层122中波导光的传播路径中,当然也可以设置在阵列基板12中所包括的其它有机层中,例如,有源层(active layer)、层间介质层(ILD)、栅极层(GE)等有机层。在电致变色层19变为透明状态时,电致变色层19可以透光,也即是,波导光可从电致变色层19穿过,而最终从阵列基板12传输至显示面板10外,如此,显示面板10可以实现双面显示。在电致变色层19变为黑色状态时,电致变色层19不透光,也即是,波导光无法从电致变色层19穿过,使得显示面板10的波导光只能从光学膜层16射出至显示面板10外,如此,显示面板10实现单面显示。
当然,在另一些实施方式中,电致变色层19也可设置于光学膜层16中波导光的传播路径位置,具体电致变色层19可以设置在光学膜层16中的膜层封装层162、透光模组层164或者偏光片(POL)中波导光的传播路径位置,从而控制波导光的传播。
需要说明的是,若显示面板10为顶发射结构,电致变色层19位于第二像素定义层124出光侧的方向设置(如图6所示)。若显示面板10为底发射结构,电致变色层19位于发光层14出光侧的方向(如图7所示)。
请参阅图8,另外,本申请实施方式还提供了一种亮度补偿方法,用于上述任意一项的显示面板10,补偿方法包括:
S12:获取光电传感器的波导光数据;
S14:根据波导光数据计算亮度差异;和
S16:根据亮度差异调整驱动芯片输出的驱动电压以对相应的发光层发出的光进行亮度补偿。
请参阅图9,本申请实施方式还提供了一种显示装置100,显示装置100包括驱动芯片20和如上述任意一项显示面板10。驱动芯片20用于驱动显示面板10发光。

1.一种显示面板,其特征在于,包括:
阵列基板;
发光层,位于所述阵列基板一侧,所述阵列基板用于驱动所述发光层发光;
位于所述发光层背离所述阵列基板一侧的多个光学膜层,所述发光层发出的光线在所述阵列基板和/或所述光学膜层形成波导光;和
光电传感器,用于获取所述波导光以根据所述波导光的数据对所述发光层发出的光进行亮度补偿。
2.如权利要求1所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述发光层包括多个子发光层,多个所述子发光层同层间隔设置,所述阵列基板包括:
位于相邻两个所述子发光层之间的第一像素定义层,所述光电传感器与所述第一像素定义层对应设置,所述发光层还包括贴合于所述第一像素定义层表面的第一反射层,所述波导光穿射所述第一像素定义层并被所述第一反射层反射至所述光电传感器。
3.如权利要求2所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述阵列基板还包括第二像素定义层,所述第二像素定义层设置于所述第一像素定义层中,所述第二像素定义层表面贴合有第二反射层,所述波导光穿射所述第二像素定义层并被所述第二反射层反射至所述光电传感器。
4.如权利要求3所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述第二像素定义层呈倒梯形,所述第二反射层包括顶面和第一斜面,其中,所述顶面设置于所述第二像素定义层远离所述阵列基板的一侧,所述第一斜面贴合于所述第二像素定义层的斜边并与所述顶面连接,所述波导光穿射所述第二像素定义层并被所述顶面和所述第一斜面反射至所述光电传感器。
5.如权利要求3所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述第二像素定义层呈倒梯形,所述第二反射层包括有顶面、第一斜面和第二斜面,所述第一顶面设置于所述第二像素定义层远离所述阵列基板的一侧,所述第一斜面和所述第二斜面对称设置在所述顶面的两侧并贴合所述第二像素定义层,所述波导光穿射所述第二像素定义层至所述第二斜面表面被所述第二斜面反射至所述光电传感器。
6.如权利要求3所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述第二像素定义层呈正梯形,所述第二反射层包括有顶面和第一斜面,所述顶面贴合于所述第二像素定义层远离所述阵列基板的一侧,所述第一斜面贴合所述第二像素定义层的斜面并与所述顶面连接,所述波导光穿射所述第二像素定义层并通过所述顶面反射至所述光电传感器。
7.如权利要求5所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述光学膜层包括依次排列的薄膜封装层和透光模组层,其中,所述透光模组层设置在所述薄膜封装层远离所述发光层的一侧,所述光电传感器设置于所述透光模组层中并位于所述第二像素定义层的出光侧方向。
8.如权利要求5所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述显示面板还包括电致变色层,所述电致变色层设置于所述阵列基板中,所述电致变色层用于控制所述显示面板双面显示,在等电位或不加电的情况下,所述电致变色层为透明状态,在有压差存在的情况下,所述电致变色层为遮光状态。
9.如权利要求8所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述显示面板为顶发射结构,所述电致变色层位于所述第二像素定义层出光侧的方向。
10.如权利要求8所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述显示面板为底发射结构,所述发光层包括阴极金属层,所述阴极金属层不透光,所述电致变色层位于所述发光层出光侧方向。
11.如权利要求10所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述电致变色层的材料可以为氧化铱、氧化铬或氧化铝任意一种。
12.如权利要求11所述的显示面板,其特征在于,所述电致变色层的厚度可为1.5-2微米。
13.一种亮度补偿方法,其特征在于,用于如上述权利要求1-12任意一项所述的显示面板,所述补偿方法包括:
获取所述光电传感器的波导光数据;
根据所述波导光数据计算亮度差异;和
根据所述亮度差异调整驱动芯片输出的驱动电压以对相应的所述发光层发出的光进行亮度补偿。
14.一种显示装置,其特征在于,包括如权利要求1-12任意一项所述的显示面板。
