A folding apparatus for facilitating the production of an automotive air bag according to claim 1, wherein: the bidirectional linear driving mechanism comprises a screw motor (17), a bidirectional screw (4), a driving seat (8), a push plate (7) and a guide mechanism thereof, the bidirectional screw (4) is horizontally and rotatably installed on a hanging plate (16) arranged below the operating platform (2), the screw motor (17) is installed at the lower end of the operating platform (2), the driving end of the screw motor (17) is connected with the end of the bidirectional screw (4), the driving seat (8) is symmetrically installed on the bidirectional screw (4), the guide mechanism comprises an upper guide assembly (5) and a lower guide assembly (9) which are installed on the operating platform (2), the upper guide assembly (5) and the lower guide assembly (9) are both distributed in parallel with the bidirectional screw (4), the lower end of the driving seat (8) is in sliding fit with the lower guide assembly (9), and the lower end of the push plate (7) is connected with the driving seat (8), the upper end of the push plate (7) is in sliding fit with the upper guide assembly (5), and the horizontal push plate I (6) is installed on the inner side of the top of the push plate (7).

step four: resetting the lifting assembly (20);
step five: starting a rotation driving mechanism, rotating the turnover pressing plate (13) by 90 degrees from a vertical state to form a horizontal state, wherein the lower end face of the turnover pressing plate (13) at the lowest end is in contact with the surface of the end part of the safety air bag, and the end part of the safety air bag is pressed on the end face of the horizontal push plate I (6);
