The media portion 130 includes a first smoking material portion 132 and a second smoking material portion 134. The first smoking material part 132 and the second smoking material part 134 are provided along the longitudinal direction of the medium part 130, and the second smoking material part 134 is provided so as to surround all or a part of the first smoking material part 132. Wherein, being disposed along the length of the media portion 130 refers to being disposed along the longitudinal axis of the smoking article 100.
At this time, the tobacco material contained in the first smoking material portion 132 may be different from the tobacco material contained in the second smoking material portion 134.
The tobacco material contained in the first smoking material portion 132 and the second smoking material portion 134 may be an aerosol generating material. The aerosol-generating material may be prepared by mixing a solvent and various additives to prepare a slurry after pulverizing tobacco leaves, and drying to form a sheet, which is processed to have a bar such as a rod.
As an example, the aerosol-generating material included in the first smoking material portion 132 and the second smoking material portion 134, that is, the tobacco material may be tobacco lamina, tobacco stem, and/or tobacco fines generated during tobacco processing. Specifically, the tobacco raw material may include crushed tobacco leaves, crushed reconstituted tobacco, and the like. The first smoking material portion 132 and the second smoking material portion 134 included in the medium portion 130 may be burned or heated simultaneously or non-simultaneously so that the user may feel various cigarette flavors.
On the other hand, although fig. 1 illustrates an example in which the smoking article 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes only the filter portion 110 and the medium portion 130, it may be implemented to further include other structures than the illustrated structure.
Figure 2 is a perspective view of a smoking article comprising multiple media portions according to another embodiment of the present invention.
In addition to the filter portion 110 and the media portion 130, a smoking article 100 comprising a multiple media portion according to another embodiment of the invention may further comprise a cooling portion 150 and a support element 170.
Referring to fig. 2, a smoking article 100 according to another embodiment of the invention may have the form of a filter section 110-a cooling section 150-a support element 170 and a media section 130 arranged sequentially from the downstream end in an upstream direction.
The filter section 110 and the medium section 130 are the same as those described in fig. 1, and thus duplicate description will be omitted.
The cooling unit 150 cools the aerosol generated by the heating medium unit 130. Thus, the smoker can inhale the aerosol cooled to an appropriate temperature.
The length or diameter of the cooling portion 150 may vary depending on the shape of the smoking article 100. For example, the length of the cooling portion 150 may be suitably employed in the range of 7mm to 20 mm. Preferably, the length of the cooling part 150 may be about 14mm, but is not limited thereto.
The cooling portion 150 may be manufactured by braiding polymer fibers. In this case, the perfuming liquid may be applied to the fibers made of the polymer. Alternatively, the cooling part 150 may be prepared by simultaneously weaving individual fibers coated with a perfuming liquid and fibers made of a polymer.
Alternatively, the cooling portion 150 may be formed of a curled polymer sheet. The polymer according to an embodiment of the present invention may be made of a material selected from the group consisting of Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polylactic acid (PLA), cellulose Acetate (CA), and aluminum foil.
Since the cooling portion 150 is formed from woven polymer fibers or crimped polymer sheets, the cooling portion 150 may include at least one channel formed in the length direction of the smoking article 100. The passage means a passage through which air or aerosol generated in the medium part 130 passes.
When the smoking article 100 is inserted into an electronic cigarette device or the like, the support element 170 prevents the internal components of the smoking article 100 from being pushed in the downstream direction due to a heater or the like provided in the electronic cigarette device. The aerosol generated in the medium section 130 may also be cooled.
The support member 170 according to an embodiment of the present invention may be a cellulose acetate filter. For example, the support member 170 may be a tubular structure including a cavity therein.
The length and diameter of the support element 170 may vary depending on the shape of the smoking article 100. For example, the length of the support member 170 may be suitably employed in the range of 4mm to 30 mm. Preferably, the length of the cooling part 150 may be about 10m, but is not limited thereto. Also, the diameter of the hollow included in the support member 170 may be suitably employed in the range of 2mm to 4.5mm, but is not limited thereto.
The support member 170 may adjust the hardness by adjusting the content of the plasticizer during the manufacturing process. In addition, a film, a tube, or the like having the same or different material as the support member 170 may be inserted into the hollow interior of the support member 170.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of a smoking article comprising a multi-media portion according to another embodiment of the present invention.
In addition to the filter portion 110, the media portion 130, and the support element 170, a smoking article 100 comprising a multiple media portion according to another embodiment of the invention may further comprise a front plug 190.
The filter portion 110, the medium portion 130, and the support member 170 of the smoking article 100 shown in fig. 3 are the same as those described in fig. 1 and 2, and thus, duplicate description will be omitted.
The front plug 190 may be a cellulose acetate filter. Alternatively, the porous filter may be formed of a paper filter, a porous molded article, or the like. The front plug 190 according to an embodiment of the present invention may have a length of 4 to 15mm, but is not limited thereto, and may be further subjected to coloring treatment or perfuming treatment.
The front plug 190 functions to prevent the tobacco material contained in the medium portion 130 from being discharged to the outside, and the like.
Next, a specific structure of the medium portion 130 of the smoking article 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described.
Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view of a smoking article comprising multiple media portions according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Specifically, fig. 4 shows a cross-sectional view of the medium portion 130. As described above, the medium portion 130 includes the first smoking material portion 132 and the second smoking material portion 134, and the second smoking material portion 134 may be provided in a form surrounding the first smoking material portion 132.
Referring to fig. 4, the first smoking material part 132 located inside the medium part 130 and the second smoking material part 134 surrounding the first smoking material part 132 may have a cylindrical shape having a circular cross section and the same central axis. However, the cross-sectional shape of the first smoking material part 132 is not limited to a circular shape, and may have various different shapes. For example, it may have a shape of an ellipse, a regular polygon, an irregular polygon, or the like.
When the cross section of the first smoking material part 132 has one of the above-described shapes, the second smoking material part 134 may have a cross section that surrounds the shape of the first smoking material part 132.
On the other hand, the material constituting the first smoking material part 132 may be different from the material constituting the second smoking material part 134. Specifically, tobacco leaves, tobacco stems, and/or fines generated during the tobacco treatment, etc., as raw materials of the first smoking material part 132 may be different from tobacco leaves, tobacco stems, and/or fines generated during the tobacco treatment, etc., contained in the second smoking material part 132.
Also, the first smoking material part 132 and the second smoking material part 134 may each contain various additives other than the tobacco raw material, and the material added in the first smoking material part 132 may be different from the material added in the second smoking material part 134. Alternatively, the additives added to the first smoking material part 132 and the second smoking material part 134 are the same, but the composition ratio of the additives may be different.
Therefore, the effect of making the user feel various cigarette tastes with the lapse of smoking time can be achieved.
Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view of a smoking article comprising a multi-media portion according to another embodiment of the present invention.
As described above, since the medium part 130 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the first smoking material part 132 and the second smoking material part 134, which are made of different raw materials, respectively, a situation in which the raw materials included in the respective smoking material parts are mixed during the manufacturing process or the circulation process may occur.
Thus, the media portion 130 according to an embodiment of the invention may also include a wrapper 136 surrounding the outer side of the first smoking material portion 132. Thus, the first smoking material portion 132 and the second smoking material portion 134 are physically separated by the wrapper 136.
The wrapping paper 136 according to an embodiment of the present invention may be made of a general roll paper that is not subjected to oil resistance treatment. At this time, the wrapping paper 136 may be a porous roll paper or a nonporous roll paper.
When the wrapper 136 is a porous roll paper, the porosity may be 6500CU or more, preferably 24000CU or more in the international center for research and development of tobacco (CORESTA). On the other hand, when the wrapping paper is a nonporous roll paper, it may be 10CU to 200CU.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, it may be made of roll paper having oil resistance. This is because, when at least one of the first smoking material part 132 and the second smoking material part 134 contains an additive such as grease, the additive contained in each smoking material part may penetrate the wrapping paper 136 and be mixed.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the wrapper 136 may be made of roll paper having water resistance. The mainstream smoke or aerosol generated at the medium portion 130 can include humectants, moisture, other compounds, and the like.
That is, the wrapping paper 136 may be stained or weakened during the burning of the medium part 130 by the additives added to the respective smoking material parts, and thus a coating for oil resistance or water resistance may be provided on the surface of the wrapping paper 136.
The coating layer for this may include at least one of a silicone-based material, a wax-based material, and a natural material as a constituent. For example, the wax-type material may be one of paraffin wax (paraffin wax), embedding (emped), crystalline palm (crystalline palm), multifunctional wax (multiwax), carnauba wax (carnauba wax), candelilla wax (candelilla wax), castor wax (castor wax), microcrystalline wax (microcrytallin wax), gum wax (gel wax), beeswax (bees wax), stearic acid (stearic acid), polypropylene wax (polypropylene wax), polyethylene wax (polyethylene wax), and polyethylene acrylic wax (polyethylene wax), or a combination of at least two of the foregoing materials, but is not limited thereto.
The silicone material may be liquid silicone, but is not limited thereto. In addition, the natural material fiber may be flax (flax), but is not limited thereto. Since flax has a characteristic of increasing strength upon absorbing moisture, the water resistance of the wrapper 136 can be improved.
As another example, the coating may be composed of particles. The microparticles may be microcapsules using a silicone-based material or a wax-based material as a matrix (matrix). For example, the microparticles may be reinforced by first coating the waterproof nano-protruding structures with methyl cellulose acetate at a time and then coating them with a wax such as paraffin wax at a second time to enhance the physical properties of the powder. Thus, the coating comprising the microparticles may increase the water resistance of the wrapper 136.
Figure 6 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of a smoking article comprising multiple media portions according to an embodiment of the present invention.
A smoking article is illustrated in fig. 6 as a conventional cigarette.
Referring to fig. 6, the first smoking material part 132 and the second smoking material part 134 are provided along the longitudinal direction of the medium part 130, and the second smoking material part 134 is provided so as to surround the first smoking material part 132.
The aerosol generated in the first smoking material portion 132 and the second smoking material portion 134 moves in the downstream direction and is transmitted to the smoker through the filter portion 110. At this time, since the tobacco material contained in the first smoking material part 132 and the tobacco material contained in the second smoking material part 134 are different, the composition of the aerosol generated in each smoking material part is also different. Thus, a smoker can perceive various cigarette flavors from one smoking article.
On the other hand, in order to enhance the taste of the cigarette according to circumstances, the amount of aerosol generated in the first smoking material part 132 and the amount of aerosol generated in the second smoking material part 134 should sometimes be different. For example, when the amount of aerosol generated in the first smoking material part 132 is larger than that in the second smoking material part 134, this is the case where the taste of the cigarette is further enhanced.
For this reason, the draw Resistance (RTD) of the first smoking material part 132 and the draw resistance of the second smoking material part 134 according to an embodiment of the present invention are different. This is because, when the smoker draws on the smoking article 100 with a certain amount of force, the aerosol generated in the smoking material portion having a larger drawing resistance flows into the filter portion 110 in a smaller amount than the aerosol generated in the smoking material portion having a relatively smaller drawing resistance, and as a result, the mixing amount of the aerosol originating from the respective smoking material portions can be adjusted.
The resistance to draw of the smoking material portion may be determined based on various factors.
As an example, each smoking material portion is realized in the form of a filling with tobacco material, and the resistance to draw of each smoking material portion can be adjusted when the filling density is changed. Accordingly, the packing density of the tobacco raw material included in the first smoking material portion 132 according to an embodiment of the invention may be different from the packing density of the tobacco raw material included in the second smoking material portion 134.
As another example, the tobacco material contained in each smoking material section may be processed into a strand and filled. When these cut tobacco are filled in parallel with each other in the longitudinal direction of the medium part 130, an air passage is formed inside so that the aerosol can smoothly move. On the other hand, when cut tobacco is filled in a random arrangement, the aerosol air flow cannot smoothly move, and thus the suction resistance becomes relatively high.
Accordingly, the tobacco shreds included in one of the first smoking material part 132 and the second smoking material part 134 may be filled parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the medium part 130, and the tobacco shreds included in the other smoking material part may be filled in a random arrangement.
According to the smoking article 100 of an embodiment of the present invention described above, the effect of enabling a user to feel various cigarette flavors in one smoking article 100 can be achieved.
Fig. 7 is a diagram showing an example in which a smoking article according to an embodiment of the present invention is inserted into an aerosol-generating device and used.
Referring to fig. 7, the aerosol-generating device 200 may include a battery (not shown), a control portion (not shown), and a heater 210. The battery, the control portion, and the heater constituting the aerosol-generating device 200 according to an embodiment of the present invention may be arranged in a row, but the arrangement structure is not limited thereto. In addition, other general-purpose components may be further included in addition to the above components.
The battery supplies the power required for operation of the aerosol-generating device 200. For example, the battery may supply electric power so that the heater may be heated, and may supply electric power required for the operation of the control portion. Also, the battery may provide power required for operation of a display, a sensor, a motor, etc. provided at the aerosol-generating device 200.
The control portion generally controls the operation of the aerosol-generating device 200. Specifically, the control section confirms not only the state of the battery, the heater, but also the state of each component of the aerosol-generating device 200 to determine whether the aerosol-generating device 200 is in an operable state.
The control portion includes at least one processor. A processor may be implemented as an array of logic gates or as a combination of a general purpose microprocessor and a memory storing a program executable on the microprocessor. Also, those of ordinary skill in the art will appreciate that the processor may be implemented by other types of hardware.
The heater 210 may be heated by electric power supplied from a battery. The heater 210 according to an embodiment of the present invention is a resistive heater that includes conductive tracks (tracks) to be able to be heated when an electric current is applied. As another embodiment, the heater 210 may be implemented as an induction heating type heater. In this case, the heater 210 may include a conductive coil.
Although the heater 210 is illustrated as a heating element in a needle shape or a rod shape in fig. 7, the shape of the heater 210 is not limited thereto and may be implemented in various forms such as a plate shape and the like.
When the smoking article 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention is inserted into the aerosol-generating device 200, the entire medium part 130 is inserted into the aerosol-generating device 200, and the filter part 110 may be exposed to the outside. Alternatively, the medium part 130 and a part of the filter part 110 are inserted at the same time, or only a part of the medium part 130 is inserted.
The smoker can smoke the aerosol generated at the first smoking material part 132 and the second smoking material part 134 of the medium part 130 in a state of holding the filter part 110.
In one example, the external air may flow in through at least one air passage formed in the aerosol-generating device 200. For example, the open/close state of the air passage formed in the aerosol-generating device 200 or the size of the air passage may be adjusted by the smoker. Thus, the user can adjust the amount of atomization, smoking feeling, and the like. In another example, the external air may flow into the interior of the smoking article 100 through at least one air vent (not shown) formed on the surface of the smoking article 100.
When the smoking article 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention is inserted into the internal heating type aerosol-generating device 200 shown in fig. 7 and used, the first smoking material part 132 located inside the medium part 130 is heated first, so that the aerosol is intensively generated from the first smoking material part 132. Therefore, in the initial stage of smoking, the smoker can first feel the cigarette taste of the aerosol generated from the first smoking material part 132.
As the smoking time passes, the heat generated in the heater 210 diffuses from the center of the medium portion 130 to the outer side surface, and aerosol is generated in the second smoking material portion 134. Thus, the smoker can feel the taste of the cigarette originating from the second smoking material section 134 at the latter half of smoking.
Fig. 8 is a diagram showing another example in which a smoking article according to an embodiment of the present invention is inserted into a mist generating device and used.
Referring to fig. 8, the aerosol-generating device 200 may include a battery (not shown), a control portion (not shown), a vaporizer (not shown), and a heater 210.
Since the battery and the control section are the same as those described in fig. 7 above, duplicate description will be omitted.
The heater 210 may be provided along an outer side surface of an inside of an insertion hole formed in a cylindrical shape on one surface of the aerosol-generating device 200. When a smoking article 100 according to an embodiment of the invention is inserted into the insertion hole, the heater 210 is activated to start heating from the outer side of the smoking article 100.
Accordingly, the second smoking material portion 134 located outside the medium portion 130 is heated first, so that the aerosol is intensively generated from the second smoking material portion 134. Therefore, in the initial stage of smoking, the smoker can first feel the cigarette taste of the aerosol generated from the second smoking material part 134.
As the smoking time passes, the heat generated by the heater 210 diffuses from the outer side toward the inner side of the medium portion 130, and the first smoking material portion 132 is heated to generate aerosol. Thus, the smoker can feel the taste of the cigarette originating from the first smoking material section 132 in the latter half of smoking.
Alternatively, the smoke taste generated by mixing the aerosol generated in the first smoking material part 132 and the aerosol generated in the second smoking material part 134 can be perceived. In this case, as the smoking time passes, the amount of aerosol generated in the second smoking material part 134 gradually decreases, and the amount of aerosol generated in the first smoking material part 132 gradually increases, so that various cigarette tastes can be perceived.
One of ordinary skill in the art to which the present embodiment relates will appreciate that variations may be made without departing from the essential characteristics described above. Accordingly, the disclosed methods should not be considered in a limiting sense, but rather in an illustrative sense. The scope of the invention is indicated by the appended claims rather than by the foregoing description, and all differences within the scope will be construed as being included in the present invention.
