Description

Slide rail assembly and slide rail external member thereof
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a slide rail mechanism, and more particularly, to a slide rail assembly with an operating member that is easy for a user to operate.
Background
For example, fig. 5 of U.S. patent publication No. US 10,274,009B 2 discloses a slide rail assembly including a first rail, a second rail and a third rail. Wherein, the first rail is movably arranged between the second rail and the third rail. A stop feature is disposed adjacent the front end of the first rail, and the second rail has a first workpiece and a second workpiece disposed thereon. And a first operating member and a second operating member are arranged on the second rail and can be respectively used for operating the first working member and the second working member to move.
Further, as shown in fig. 12 of the patent, when the second rail is in an extended position relative to the first rail, the first and second working members are blocked on either side of the blocking feature of the first rail, enabling the second rail to be positioned in the extended position. At this time, a user may apply a force to an operating portion (e.g., the first operating portion) of one of the first operating member and the second operating member, for example, via a finger, to drive the first working member, so that the first working member is no longer blocked by the blocking feature of the first rail, and the second rail is allowed to be folded from the extended position in a folding direction.
However, with the specific demands of the market, the slide rail assemblies in the prior art tend to be thinner and thinner. For example, each of the slide rails and the functional components (such as the first operating member or the second operating member) between the slide rails have to be thinned more and more, and therefore, in this case, the user may face new problems, for example, because the first operating member (or the second operating member) is thinned, as shown in fig. 12 of the patent, it is more and more difficult for the user's fingers to exert force to pull (or push) an operating portion (such as the first operating portion) of one of the first operating member and the second operating member to drive the first working member (or the second working member), and therefore, how to develop a different slide rail product becomes an important issue.

Detailed Description
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, the slide rail assembly 20 of the embodiment of the present invention includes a first rail 22, a second rail 24, and preferably, a third rail 26. The first rail 22 is movably installed between the second rail 24 and the third rail 26, so that the first rail 22 can be used to extend the displacement stroke of the second rail 24 relative to the third rail 26. Preferably, the slide assembly 20 further includes a first stopper 28, a first operating member 30, a second stopper 32 and a second operating member 34. The second rail 24, the first stopper 28, the second stopper 32 and the first operating member 30 can form a slide rail assembly.
The third rail 26 includes a channel for receiving the first rail 22.
The first rail 22 has a first upper wall 36a, a first lower wall 36b and a first side wall 38 connected between the first upper wall 36a and the first lower wall 36 b. The first upper wall 36a, the first lower wall 36b and the first sidewall 38 together define a channel. A blocking portion 40 is disposed on the first sidewall 38, and the blocking portion 40 protrudes laterally (laterally) relative to the first sidewall 38, but is not limited in implementation. Preferably, the stop 40 is located adjacent the front end f of the first side wall 38 of the first rail 22. The front end f is a rear end r remote from the first rail 22.
The second rail 24 is movably mounted within the channel of the first rail 22. The second rail 24 has a second upper wall 42a, a second lower wall 42b and a second side wall 44 connected between the second upper wall 42a and the second lower wall 42 b. The second sidewall 44 has a first extending hole H1, and preferably, a second extending hole H2.
The first stop 28 is movably disposed on the second side wall 44 of the second rail 24. Preferably, the first stopper 28 is pivotally connected to the second side wall 44 of the second rail 24 through a first shaft 46.
The first operating member 30 is operable to drive the first stopper 28. The first operating member 30 is disposed on the second side wall 44 of the second rail 24. The first operating member 30 includes a first operating portion 30a, and the first operating portion 30a is provided to correspond to a portion of the first extending hole H1 of the second rail 24. Preferably, the first operating member 30 further includes a first actuating portion 30b corresponding to the first stopper 28, and a first extending body 30c connected between the first actuating portion 30b and the first operating portion 30 a. The first extension body 30c of the first operating member 30 is located adjacent to one of the second upper wall 42a and the second lower wall 42b of the second rail 24. Here, the first extending body 30c of the first operating member 30 is located adjacent to the second lower wall 42b of the second rail 24, but the implementation is not limited thereto.
The second stop 32 is movably disposed on the second sidewall 44 of the second rail 24. Preferably, the second stopper 32 is pivotally connected to the second sidewall 44 of the second rail 24 via a second shaft 48.
The second operating member 34 is operable to move the second blocking member 32. The second operating member 34 is disposed on the second side wall 44 of the second rail 24. The second operating member 34 includes a second operating portion 34a, and the second operating portion 34a is provided corresponding to a first portion of the second extending hole H2 of the second rail 24. Preferably, the second operating member 34 further includes a second actuating portion 34b corresponding to the second stopper 32, and a second extending body 34c connected between the second actuating portion 34b and the second operating portion 34 a. The second extending body 34c of the second operating member 34 is located adjacent to the other of the second upper wall 42a and the second lower wall 42b of the second rail 24. Here, the second extending body 34c of the second operating member 34 is located on the second upper wall 42a adjacent to the second rail 24, but the implementation is not limited thereto.
Preferably, the slide assembly 20 further includes a first elastic member 52a and a second elastic member 52b providing an elastic force to the first stopper 28 and the second stopper 32, respectively. Herein, the first elastic element 52a and the second elastic element 52b are disposed on a base 50, and the base 50 is connected to the second sidewall 44 of the second rail 24, but the embodiment is not limited thereto.
Preferably, a space X is defined between the first stopper 28 and the second stopper 32 for accommodating the stopper 40 of the first rail 22.
Preferably, a sliding-assisting mechanism is arranged between every two sliding rails of the sliding rail assembly 20. For example, a sliding aid 52 is disposed between the first rail 22 and the second rail 24 to facilitate the smoothness of the displacement of the first rail 22 and the second rail 24 relative to each other. The sliding aid 52 includes a main body 54, a plurality of sliding aids 56 (such as balls or rollers), and a fastener 58. The sliding aid members 56 are arranged on the main body 54 to be supported between the first rail 22 and the second rail 24, and the fastener member 58 is movably mounted on the main body 54, for example, pivotally connected to the main body 54. Preferably, the fastener 58 is held in a predetermined state, such as a locked state, by an elastic force of an elastic feature 60. On the other hand, the first rail 22 further includes a locking portion 61, and the locking portion 61 is used to cooperate with the fastener 58. The latch 61 projects laterally relative to the first side wall 38 of the first rail 22.
As shown in fig. 3, the slide assembly 20 is in a retracted state. The first rail 22 is folded relative to the third rail 26, and the second rail 24 is located at a folded position P1 relative to the first rail 22. The first operating portion 30a of the first operating member 30 corresponds to the first extending hole H1 of the second rail 24; and the second operating portion 34a of the second operating member 34 corresponds to the second extending hole H2 of the second rail 24. Since the structural arrangement principles of the first operating element 30 (the first operating portion 30a) and the first extension hole H1 and the second operating element 34 (the second operating portion 34a) and the second extension hole H2 are substantially the same, the following description will be mainly given of the relationship between the first operating element 30 and the first extension hole H1.
Further, the first operating portion 30a of the first operating member 30 corresponds to a first portion Kh11 of the first extending hole H1 of the second rail 24, for example, and a second portion Kh12 of the first extending hole H1 is for an operator to insert a finger. In addition, the first stopper 28 corresponds to the stopper 40 of the first rail 22. Preferably, the first elastic element 52a provides the elastic force to the first stopper 28, so that the first stopper 28 is maintained in a first state S1 in response to the elastic force of the first elastic element 52a, and in the first state S1, the position of the first stopper 28 corresponds to the stopping portion 40 of the first rail 22. On the other hand, the second elastic member 52b provides the elastic force to the second stopper 32, so that the second stopper 32 is maintained in the first state S1 in response to the elastic force of the second elastic member 52b, and in the first state S1, the position of the second stopper 32 corresponds to the stopping portion 40 of the first rail 22. In addition, the fastener 58 of the sliding aid 52 and the detent 61 of the first rail 22 have a predetermined longitudinal distance therebetween.
As shown in fig. 4, the first rail 22 is already at an open position M relative to the third rail 26 and cannot be arbitrarily displaced relative to the third rail 26 (as this part is within the technical scope understood by those skilled in the art, it is not described herein again). Further, when the second rail 24 is displaced to a predetermined stroke in a first direction D1 (e.g., an opening direction) relative to the first rail 22, the second stopper 32 in the first state S1 can contact a first step 40a of the stopper 40 of the first rail 22. The sliding aid 52 is also displaced along with the second rail 24 in the first direction D1. It is worth mentioning that the fastener 58 of the sliding aid 52 is pressed by the base 50 and is no longer in the predetermined state, for example, the fastener 58 is in the unlocked state.
As shown in fig. 5, when the second rail 24 continues to displace relative to the first rail 22 in the first direction D1, a force is generated by the contact between the second stopper 32 and the stopping portion 40 of the first rail 22, such that the second stopper 32 pivots at an angle to be in a second state S2, such that the second stopper 32 can pass over the first stopping section 40a of the stopping portion 40 of the first rail 22, and at this time, the second elastic member 52b is in a state of accumulating an elastic force. Wherein the sliding aid 52 is also displaced toward the first direction D1 with the second rail 24.
As shown in fig. 6, the slide rail assembly 20 is in an extended state (e.g., fully extended). Specifically, when the second rail 24 is further displaced relative to the first rail 22 in the first direction D1 to an extended position P2, the second stopper 32 has reached a second stopping section 40b of the stopping portion 40 of the first rail 22 (the second stopping section 40b and the first stopping section 40a are located at two opposite positions of the stopping portion 40, but not limited in implementation), and the second stopper 32 can recover the first state S1 in response to the second elastic member 52b releasing the elastic force, so that the second stopper 32 is stopped by the second stopping section 40b of the stopping portion 40 to form a stopping relationship, so as to prevent the second rail 24 from being retracted relative to the first rail 22 in a second direction D2 (e.g., a retracting direction) opposite to the first direction D1 from the extended position P2. On the other hand, the first stopper 28 is still in the first state S1 and is blocked by the first block segment 40a of the blocking portion 40 to form a blocking relationship for preventing the second rail 24 from being displaced from the extended position P2 to the first direction D1 relative to the first rail 22. In other words, the stopping portion 40 is caught in the space X between the first stopper 28 and the second stopper 32 (as shown in fig. 2).
As shown in fig. 6 and 7, when a user wants to displace the second rail 24 from the extended position P2 relative to the first rail 22, the user can displace the second rail 24 from the extended position P2 to the first direction D1 or the second direction D2 relative to the first rail 22 by only one of the first operating member 30 and the second operating member 34. In this embodiment, the first operating portion 30a of the first operating member 30 corresponds to the first portion Kh11 of the first extending hole H1 of the second rail 24, and the second portion Kh12 of the first extending hole H1 is accessible for an operator's finger to conveniently operate the first operating portion 30a to displace the first operating member 30, because the operating portion of one of the first operating member 30 and the second operating member 34 is a portion of the extending hole corresponding to the second rail 24. Specifically, a user' S finger can pass through the second portion Kh12 of the first extending hole H1 to conveniently apply a force J to operate the first operating portion 30a, so that the first operating member 30 is linearly displaced (or longitudinally displaced), and the first actuating portion 30b of the first operating member 30 can be allowed to drive the first stopper 28 to switch from the first state S1 to the second state S2 (as shown in fig. 7), so that the first stopper 28 is no longer blocked by the first blocking section 40a of the blocking portion 40 and is not in the above-mentioned blocking relationship, so as to allow the second rail 24 to be displaced from the extending position P2 to the first direction D1 relative to the first rail 22. Wherein, the fastener 58 of the sliding aid 52 is already adjacent to the latch 61.
As shown in fig. 8, the second rail 24 is detachable from the extended position P2 in the first direction D1 with respect to the first rail 22. Wherein, since the fastener 58 of the sliding aid 52 is no longer pressed by the base 50 and can be released in response to the elastic force of the elastic feature 60 to be in the predetermined state again, such as the above-mentioned locking state, the fastener 58 can be fastened to the catching portion 61 to keep the sliding aid 52 in a desired position. It should be noted that once the second rail 24 is re-installed into the channel of the first rail 22 in the second direction D2 relative to the first rail 22, a portion (e.g., the rear end) of the second rail 24 can drive the fastener 58 to disengage from the locking portion 61.
As shown in fig. 9, the second rail 24 has a first side L1 opposite the first side L1 from a second side L2. The first operating portion 30a is provided with a first portion Kh11 (this portion may be matched with that shown in fig. 6) corresponding to the first extending hole H1 of the second rail 24, and the second operating portion 34a is provided with a first portion Kh21 (this portion may be matched with that shown in fig. 6) corresponding to the second extending hole H2 of the second rail 24.
Further, a user' S finger can pass through the second portion Kh12 of the first extending hole H1 from the first side L1 of the second rail 24 to the second side L2 of the second rail 24 to conveniently apply the force F to operate the first operating portion 30a, so that the first operating member 30 is displaced to drive the first stopper 28 to switch from the first state S1 to the second state S2, and the first stopper 28 is no longer blocked by the first blocking section L1 of the stopper 40 and is not in the above-mentioned blocking relationship, so as to allow the second rail 24 to be displaced from the extending position P2 to the first direction D1 relative to the first rail 22 for dismounting.
Alternatively, a finger of a user can pass through a second portion Kh22 of the second extending hole H2 from the first side L1 of the second rail 24 to the second side L2 of the second rail 24 to conveniently apply another force to operate the second operating portion 34a, so that the second operating portion 34 is displaced to drive the second stopper 32 to transition from the first state S1 to the second state S2, and the second stopper 32 is no longer blocked by the second blocking section L2 of the stopper 40 and does not form the above-mentioned blocking relationship, so as to allow the second rail 24 to be retracted relative to the first rail 22 from the extending position P2 to the second direction D2.
Therefore, compared to the prior art, the slide rail assembly 20 of the present embodiment can communicate with two sides of the second rail 24 through the extension holes (the first extension hole H1 or the second extension hole H2) to facilitate the insertion of the finger of the user from the first side L1 or the second side L2 of the second rail 24, and further facilitate the application of a force to the operation portion (such as the first operation portion 30a or the second operation portion 34a) of the operation member (the first operation member 30 or the second operation member 34) by the finger, so that the operation member is displaced to drive the stopper (such as the first stopper 28 or the second stopper 32) to allow the second rail 24 to be removed from the extension position P2 in the first direction of D1 or displaced and folded in the second direction of D2 relative to the first rail 22.
In summary, the slide rail assembly 20 of the present embodiment can pass through the extending hole of the second rail 24, so as to improve the problem that the operation member of the slide rail of the prior art is not easily forced, and according to this feature, the slide rail assembly 20 of the present embodiment can be more convenient and reliable in operation than the slide rail of the prior art.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the present specific embodiments, it will be recognized by those skilled in the art that the above embodiments are illustrative only, and various equivalent changes and modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention, and therefore, it is intended to cover in the appended claims all such changes and modifications as fall within the true spirit of the invention.
