Based on the above contents, the embodiment of the application provides a video hotspot playing method on a display device and the display device, which can provide hotspot contents in a video for a user to select, and the user can directly select the hotspot contents to play without controlling a video positioning assembly on a progress bar for selecting the video contents for many times. The video playing method and the video playing device can simplify the operation process of video playing, save operation time and improve the experience of users.
FIG. 5 illustrates a control flow diagram for controller 250 according to some embodiments.
As described in the foregoing embodiments, the display device 200 in the embodiment of the present application has the controller 250. The controller 250 may receive a control instruction of the display device 200 from a user, and may control some components or modules on the display device 200, for example, control the display 260 to display an image, etc.
In order to reduce the operation of frequently adjusting the video positioning component when the user watches the video, in the embodiment of the present application, as shown in fig. 5, the controller 250 of the display device 200 needs to acquire the hot content in the video resource and the playing time point thereof from the server side while playing the video resource. When the video resource is acquired, the controller 250 may simultaneously acquire some media information of the video resource, where the media information includes a media resource ID number of the video resource, a provider of the video resource, a start-up time of the video, a title of the video, and so on.
Since the video resource has a unique asset ID number, the controller 250 can also obtain the hot content corresponding to the video resource and the playing time point thereof from the server according to the asset ID number.
The hot content refers to content at a certain time point or content at a certain time period in the video resource which is usually considered by the server side according to some historical playing conditions of the video resource, and the playing time point is the time when the hot content starts to be played in the whole video resource. In the whole video resource, there is often more than one hot content, for example, the playing time point of the hot content 1 is 1 minute 47 seconds, the playing time point of the hot content 2 is 4 minutes 47 seconds, and the like.
FIG. 6 illustrates a schematic diagram of a display page of display 260 in accordance with some embodiments.
After receiving the hot content and the playing time point thereof sent by the server, the controller 250 sequentially displays the hot content at different positions of the progress bar of the video resource according to the playing time point thereof, as shown in fig. 6, where a first hot content is displayed at a position 01:47 on the progress bar, and a second hot content is displayed at a position 04:47 on the progress bar. The hot content is usually displayed in text form to prompt the user, such as "this is the first hot point" (first hot content) and "this is the second hot point" (second hot content) in fig. 6.
In addition, in some embodiments, the video stream of the on-demand type may carry hot content of the video itself, and when the display device 200 plays such a video resource, the controller 250 may directly extract the hot content in the video stream and sequentially display the hot content at different positions of the progress bar according to the playing time point of the hot content. The displayed content can also be referred to fig. 6.
After the hot content is displayed, the user can select any hot content as the target hot content according to the requirement of the user. The user may select the target hot content as if a hot selection instruction is sent to the controller 250.
The controller 250 receives and responds to the hot spot selection instruction, and controls the display 260 to jump from the current display page to the display page corresponding to the target hot spot content.
FIG. 7 illustrates a second control flow diagram for controller 250 according to some embodiments.
Generally, video resources can be classified into live type resources or on-demand type resources, the live type resources can be regarded as real-time playing contents, and the played contents cannot be previewed or fast-forwarded and other operations; on-demand resources are not real-time played contents, and operations such as fast forward and fast backward can be performed during playing.
In some embodiments, as shown in fig. 7, since the controller 250 cannot operate on the playing content when the live-type resource is played, before playing the video resource, the controller 250 further determines whether the video resource belongs to the on-demand type resource according to the media information of the video resource. In general, a live-broadcast resource may be regarded as a resource without media information, and only in a case that media information of a video resource is not acquired, the controller 250 may consider that the video resource is a live-broadcast resource, or the video resource does not belong to an on-demand type resource, and at this time, the controller 250 may directly control the display 260 to display specific content of the video resource without displaying a progress bar.
In the case where the video resource is an on-demand type resource, the controller 250 needs to resolve the resource location system URL address of the video resource. Typically, the URL includes several parameters, and the controller 250 may parse the URL to obtain each parameter in the URL. Then, the controller 250 controls the display 260 to play the video resource according to each parameter in the analysis result; and, while controlling the display 260 to play the video resource, acquiring the hot content in the video resource and the playing time point thereof from the server side. As described in the foregoing embodiment, the controller 250 may also obtain the hot content corresponding to the video resource and the playing time point thereof from the server according to the media asset ID number of the video resource.
To avoid the display of the progress bar or the hot content from obstructing the video content viewed by the user, in some embodiments, the controller 250 may actively hide the progress bar and the hot content while the video resource is normally playing. When the user selects to pause playing the video, the controller 250 controls the display 260 to display the progress bar and the hot content to the user on the paused page; when the user has no control operation for a certain period of time or the user selects to continue playing the video, the controller 250 controls the progress bar and the hot content on the display 260 to disappear.
FIG. 8 illustrates a third control flow diagram for controller 250 according to some embodiments.
In some embodiments, the video asset obtained by the controller 250 may have been previously viewed by the user but not viewed, and the controller 250 may provide the user with a resume function, i.e., resume play from the last interrupted play position. Therefore, as shown in fig. 8, the controller 250 needs to detect whether the video asset has been played before controlling the display 260 to play the video asset; in the event that the video asset has been played, the display 260 is controlled to display a resume prompt. The continuous playing prompt is used for prompting whether the user needs to continue playing or needs to play again. After the user watches the prompt, the user can input a playing instruction according to the requirement of the user. In response to the playback instruction, controller 250 controls display 260 to continue playing the video asset from the last interrupted position if the user selects resume, and controls display 260 to resume playing the video asset if the user selects resume. Then, while the display 260 plays the video resource, the controller 250 obtains the hot content in the video resource and the playing time point thereof from the server; sequentially displaying the hot content at different positions of a progress bar of the video resource according to the playing time point of the hot content; and finally, in response to a hotspot selection instruction input by the user, controlling the display 260 to jump from the current display page to the display page corresponding to the target hotspot content.
Similarly, the controller 250 may determine whether the video asset belongs to the on-demand type asset according to the media information of the video asset before playing the video asset. The specific operations can refer to the contents of the foregoing embodiments.
FIG. 9 illustrates a schematic diagram of a second type of display page of display 260 in accordance with some embodiments.
In some embodiments, in order to facilitate the user to select specific hot content, the display device 200 in the embodiment of the present application further provides the user with a virtual key region displayed on the display 260. As shown in fig. 9, virtual keys with an upward direction may be arranged above the progress bar of the video resource, the user may input a hot spot selection instruction to the controller 250 by pressing an "upper direction key" on the remote controller, the controller 250 also moves the selection focus on the display 260 to the virtual key with the upward direction in response to the hot spot selection instruction, and further controls the virtual key area to display virtual keys with a right direction and a left direction, which correspond to the "right direction key" and the "left direction key" on the remote controller, respectively, and the user selects hot spot content on the display 260. The user can continue to press the right direction key and the left direction key on the remote controller according to the requirement of the user, and then input the hot spot selection instruction to the controller 250 again, the controller 250 responds to the hot spot selection instruction again, controls the selection focus to move to the right direction key or the left direction key in the virtual key zone, and then selects the target hot spot content on the display 260 according to the requirement of the user.
For example, if the user presses the "right direction key" after calling the virtual key, the controller 250 may select the first hot content to be played on the display 260.
