Description

Drawer
Technical Field
The invention relates to a drawer comprising: a substrate; two side frames on which the base is supported at edges of opposite side surfaces; a front panel fixed to a support on each of the two side frames; and a rear panel located between the two side frames.
Background
EP 2490570B 1 discloses a drawer with a frame housing having a U-shaped cross section and covering fastening means for fixing a rear panel and a front panel. This gives the two side frames of the drawer an attractive appearance. However, it is not possible to design the side frames of the drawer separately as plate-shaped wall parts, for example, of a preferred color or material.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object of the present invention to create a drawer in which the general structure of the side frames can be realized with simple means.
This object is solved by a drawer having the features of claim 1.
According to the present invention, each side frame of the drawer includes: a front adapter having a receiving portion for closing a front end portion of the wall member and a fixing device for fixing the support of the front panel; a rear panel adapter for fixing the receiving portion of the rear end portion of the rear panel and the closing wall member; and a support rail connecting the front adapter and the rear panel adapter to each other, and the substrate is fixed to the support rail. This means that it can be constructed modularly with only a few components, namely front adapters, rear panel adapters, support rails and wall parts, side frames, wherein the plate-shaped wall parts can be adapted to the wishes of the user in terms of color or material. This allows the drawer to be constructed flexibly.
Preferably, the support rail includes an integrally formed tab that rests against and is screwed onto the underside of the base. This allows the substrate to be firmly fixed to the support rail.
For ease of installation, the rear panel engagers are inserted on the support rails. Such a plug connection may comprise a web which is inserted into the receptacle, so that insertion results in the rear panel adapter being fixed beforehand to the support rail. For permanent fixation, the rear panel engager may have a floor tab which rests on one of the tabs of the support rail, wherein the two tabs are engaged by screws to be fixed to each other and to the base. This means that screws may be used to secure both the base and the rear panel engager to the support rail.
The rear panel engager preferably has a rear wall which is screwed to the rear panel. This allows a stable connection to be established between the side frames and the rear panel.
In a further embodiment, a retaining web, which is formed integrally with the rear panel adapter and on which an angled hook of a guide rail of the pull-out guide can be placed, projects rearward. This allows the drawer to be secured to the rail via the rear panel adapter such that the angled hook is securely secured to the retaining web.
In another embodiment, the front adapter is inserted on the support rail. Such a plug connection can be used, for example, to fasten the front adapter to the support rail in advance when the web is inserted into the receptacle. For final fixing, the front adapter may have a tab that rests on a tab on the support rail, and the two tabs are engaged by screws to be fixed to each other and to the base.
In order to obtain a stable support, the front adapter can reach through the web below the support rail on the side of the base plate facing away. This means that the fastening means between the front adapter and the support rail are complementary to each other.
Preferably, the front adaptor is provided with a receiving portion into which a support for fixing the front panel is inserted. The support may be screwed onto the front adapter, wherein the adjusted position between the front panel and the front adapter is fixed by a threaded engagement.
Both the front and rear adapters may be made of bent metal plates or plastic, i.e. they may be designed in one piece for efficient production.
Preferably, an opening is provided in the vertical web at the support rail, through which opening a fastener, in particular a screw, is inserted, in particular screwed, into one end of the base. By securing the bottom panel from the side, the inwardly projecting tabs of the downwardly supporting bottom panel may be omitted. Alternatively, the floor is clamped by the vertical webs of the support rails.
In a further embodiment, the wall part is inserted from above into a first, in particular groove-shaped, receptacle on the rear panel adapter and into a further, in particular groove-shaped, receptacle on the front adapter, where it is fixed, for example by clamping or latching. This improves the mounting of the wall parts, since the wall parts need only be simply inserted from above after the front and rear panel adapters have been fixed to the support rails.

Detailed Description
A piece of furniture 1 comprises a cabinet-shaped furniture body 2 on which one or more drawers 3 are mounted such that they can be moved via a pull-out guide. The drawer 3 can also be used on a household appliance, such as a refrigerator, instead of on a piece of furniture.
Fig. 2 shows a drawer 3, which comprises a plate-shaped base 4, a front panel 5, two side frames 6, and a rear panel 7. The side frames 6 connect the rear panel 7 to the front panel 5 and serve to secure the base 4 on the opposite side.
As shown in fig. 3A and 3B, each side frame 6 includes plate-shaped wall members 8 that may be made in different colors and materials. The plate-shaped wall member 8 is held between the rear panel engager 20 and the front engager 30. Further, each side frame 6 includes a support rail 9 that connects the front adapter 30 to the rear panel adapter 20. A cover 50 having a mark or logo is secured to the outside of the front adapter 30.
The base 4 rests on several tabs 10, which are integral with the support rail 9. At least one screw 11 is screwed into each tab 10. On the rear panel 7 there is a retaining web 12 of the rear panel adapter 20, by means of which the drawer 3 can be fixed to the guide rails of the pull-out guide.
Fig. 4 shows a bottom view of the drawer and it can be seen that the bottom 4 is secured on the opposite side by tabs 10 and screws 11 on the side frames 6.
Fig. 5 shows the side frame 6 without the other parts of the drawer. It can be seen that the support 40 protrudes from two screws 41, to which the front panel 5 is fixed, and which are arranged in a housing on the front adapter 30. It can also be seen that the rear panel engager 20 is angled and the rear panel 7 is screwed to the rear wall 22. The retaining web 12 is also formed integrally with or secured to the rear wall 22.
As can be seen from the exploded view of fig. 6, the support rail 9 connects the rear panel adapter 20 to the front adapter 30. The support rail 9 has an integrally projecting tab 10 on which the base 4 is supported. The rear tab 10 is designed such that a tab 23 formed integrally with the rear panel adapter 20 is arranged on or under the tab 10, and the two tabs 10 and 23 are penetrated by a screw 11 to fix the rear panel adapter 20 to the support rail 9 and the base 4.
Furthermore, webs 24 protruding from the support rail 9 are formed on the rear panel adapter 20, which webs engage in the support rail 9 and can be fixed there in advance via a plug connection. The rear panel adapter 20 further comprises a receiving portion 21 into which an end portion of the wall member 8 is inserted.

The accommodation portion 31 surrounds the front side of the wall member 8 and both side surfaces and the upper side of the wall member 8. Thus, the wall member 8 is captively held on the front adapter 30. The webs 34 bent inwardly from the outer wall 33 of the front adaptor 30 are arranged to receive a support 40 connected to the front panel 5, which is then secured with fastening means 45 connected to the adjacent opening 36. A groove 32 is formed on the outer wall 33 of the front adapter 30, in which a latching hook 51 and a latching web 52 of the cover 50 can be snapped. This allows to cover the fastening means 45 on the web on the wall 33.
A tab 35 is formed on the underside of the front adapter 30 which can be screwed onto the base 4 together with the tab 10 on the support rail 9. Furthermore, a web 37 facing the support rail 9 is formed in the lower region with a receptacle 38. The web 37 may be attached to the web of the bend 16 of the support rail 9 in order to pre-fix the front adapter 30 to the support rail 9. In this position, the web 39 on the front adapter 30 engages under the support rail 9 in the front region, so that the front adapter 30 is fixed against pivoting.
Fig. 10A and 10B show a support 40 that can be inserted into the front adapter 30. The support 40 comprises a web facing the front panel 5, on which two openings 42 for screws 41 are formed. A retaining web 43 extends perpendicularly to the web, the retaining web having a projection 46, the projection 46 being lockable to the web 34 of the front adaptor 30 and having an opening 44 which can be penetrated by a fastening means 45, such as a screw. The fastening means 45 may be used to secure the support 40 in the front adapter 30 in a desired position, wherein some lateral adjustment within the front adapter 30 may be made possible by loosening or tightening the fastening means (e.g. 1mm to 4 mm).
Fig. 11A and 11B show the rear panel adapter 20 in detail. The rear panel adapter 20 is formed in an angled manner and comprises a rear wall 22 with an opening 26 into which a fastening means, such as a screw, can be inserted to fix the rear panel 7. The retaining web 12, which is integral with the wall 22, also projects rearwardly.
The rear panel adapter 20 further comprises a receptacle 21 surrounding a rear portion of the wall member 8. The wall parts 8 cover on the front side as well as on the top side and on the inner and outer sides. The rear panel adapter 20 further comprises a web 24 projecting to the support rail 9, on which web a receptacle 25 is formed, into which the web-shaped bend 16 can be inserted in order to pre-fix the rear panel adapter 20 to the support rail 9.
