Background
In recent years, the clinical application of ultrasound is no longer limited to image diagnosis, and the therapeutic effect of ultrasound in tumor and brain diseases is gradually a hot spot in modern medical research. For example, HIFU therapy is used for thermal tumor therapy by inducing transient hyperthermia using high intensity focused ultrasound to cause very rapid coagulation necrosis of tumor tissue; the focused sound field in the nerve regulation research can accurately stimulate the nerve nucleus, effectively regulate the nerve loop, and provide an important means for researching the pathogenesis and treatment of brain functions such as senile dementia, Parkinson, epilepsy, depression and the like.
Ultrasound neuromodulation utilizes ultrasound waves that propagate in tissue in pulses or continuous waves, thereby affecting the acoustic activity of the tissue through the mechanical or thermal effects of the ultrasound waves. The nerve of the stimulation part generates stimulation or inhibition effect by changing the ultrasonic frequency, pulse width, duration and ultrasonic intensity, thereby regulating the nerve function reversely and bidirectionally.
Currently, the ultrasonic neural regulation and control mainly utilizes a single-array element focused ultrasonic transducer to stimulate a corresponding nuclear mass for brain disease treatment. However, there is a certain challenge to the stimulation of the heminucleus of the animal brain, mainly because the animal needs to be fixed or cannot be effectively stimulated when the heminucleus stimulation is performed by using the single-array focused ultrasound transducer, so that the freedom of movement of the animal is limited.

It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
The embodiment of the invention provides an ultrasonic nerve regulation and control device, which utilizes ultrasonic waves to stimulate the central nerve of a part in a pulse or continuous wave mode to generate a stimulation or inhibition effect so as to reversely and bidirectionally regulate the nerve function.
Referring to fig. 1 to 3, the ultrasound nerve modulation device includes a planar ultrasound transducer 100, an acoustic lens 200 and an acoustic collimator 300, the planar ultrasound transducer 100, the acoustic lens 200 and the acoustic collimator 300 are sequentially disposed, the acoustic lens 200 is used for modulating the inclined focusing of the planar ultrasound, is in a shape formed by a major arc line and a straight line connecting two ends of the major arc line, and includes a plurality of open rings 210 concentrically disposed.
Based on the ultrasonic nerve regulation and control device provided by the embodiment of the invention, the plane ultrasonic transducer 100 emits plane ultrasonic waves, the plane ultrasonic waves form inclined focusing through the acoustic lens 200, and thus, the focusing can be adjusted to a preset position by adjusting the inclined angle, so that nerve stimulation can be performed without fixing an animal.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the acoustic lens 200 may be made of photosensitive resin, acrylic material, or medical silicone rubber. In the present embodiment, the thickness of each split ring 210 is the same.
Specifically, in the present embodiment, the formula of the phase distribution of the acoustic lens 200 for adjusting the tilt of the planar ultrasonic wave is as follows:
wherein,is a phase equation of the middle position (x, y) of the acoustic lens 200, k 2 pi/lambda is the wavelength of the plane ultrasonic wave, and lambda 2 pi f/c0Is the wavelength of the plane ultrasonic waves in water, c0The sound velocity of the planar ultrasonic wave in air, f is the frequency of the planar ultrasonic wave, and the position of the focal point of the acoustic lens 200 is (x)0,y0,z0)。
In the present embodiment, the relationship between the thickness and the phase of the acoustic lens 200 is as follows:
wherein,is the phase equation of the material of the acoustic lens 200 as a function of the thickness t, c1Is the speed of sound of the material of the acoustic lens 200.
In the embodiment of the invention, the planar ultrasonic frequency f is 3MHz, the wavelength λ is 0.5mm, and the focusing position is (x, y, z) is (2mm,0mm,8 mm); the width w of each unit of the lens is 0.5mm, and the material of the lens in this embodiment is photosensitive resin, the sound velocity c of which is1When 2700m/s, the unit height h of the lens is calculated according to the above two formulas from left to right: 1.12mm, 1.59mm, 0.98mm, 1.53mm, 1mm, 1.65mm, 1.22mm, 0.86mm, 1.68mm, 1.44mm, 1.26mm, 1.16mm, 1.12 mm.

Thus, compared with the arrangement of the acoustic lens 200 and the planar ultrasonic transduction interval, the reduction of the regulation effect of the acoustic lens 200 caused by the mutual interference in the planar ultrasonic transmission process can be reduced, wherein the structural design of the acoustic lens 200 is usually set according to a specific formula, for example, the mutual interference in the planar ultrasonic transmission process seriously affects the regulation effect of the acoustic lens 200.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the planar ultrasonic transducer 100 can adjust the frequency range of the sound wave to be 0.5-5 MHz. For example, 0.6MHz, 0.7MHz, 0.8MHz, 1MHz, 1.2MHz, 1.5MHz, 1.8MHz, 2MHz, 3MHz, 4 MHz.
