Abstract

An electronic device comprises a video data output module and an interface switching circuit, wherein the interface switching circuit is electrically connected with the video data output module. The interface switching circuit comprises a first type communication interface, a second type communication interface and a switching control module. The switching control module is electrically connected between the first type communication interface and the second type communication interface and is also electrically connected with the video data output module to receive video data. When the first type communication interface is electrically connected with a display screen with the first type communication interface in an inserting mode, the switching control module sends video data to the display screen through the first type communication interface to display. When the second type communication interface is electrically connected with a display screen with the second type communication interface in an inserting mode, the switching control module sends the video data to the display screen through the first type communication interface to be displayed. Therefore, the use of the device is convenient for users.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of computers, and in particular, to an interface switching circuit and an electronic device using the same.
Background
Generally, one or more Display Ports (DP) are designed on a notebook computer to be electrically connected to an electronic device equipped with the display port, and as electronic devices equipped with a lightning interface (thunderbolt) are more and more, the demand for designing the lightning interface on the notebook computer is also more and more.
However, when the notebook computer is configured with only the lightning interface to transmit signals, it is impossible to establish a communication connection with the electronic device configured with the DP interface, which causes inconvenience to users.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above, it is desirable to provide an interface switching circuit and an electronic device using the same, so that the electronic device can be switched between a DP interface and a lightning interface, and is convenient to use.
An interface switching circuit is electrically connected with a video data output module and used for receiving video data output by the video data output module, and comprises a first type communication interface, a second type communication interface and a switching control module; the switching control module is electrically connected between the first type communication interface and the second type communication interface, and is also electrically connected with the video data output module so as to be used for receiving the video data output by the video data output module;
When the first type communication interface is electrically connected with a display screen with the first type communication interface in an inserting mode, the switching control module sends the video data to the display screen through the first type communication interface for displaying; and
when the second type communication interface is electrically connected with a display screen with the second type communication interface in an inserting mode, the switching control module sends the video data to the display screen through the second type communication interface to be displayed.

The interface switching circuit 10 is electrically connected to the video data output module 20, and is configured to receive the video data output by the video data output module 20. The interface switching circuit 10 is further configured to be electrically connected to a display screen 30, so as to transmit the video data to the display screen 30 for displaying.
In this embodiment, the electronic device 100 may be a notebook computer, and in other embodiments, the electronic device 100 may be other electronic equipment. The video data output module 20 may be a main board.
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a block diagram of a preferred embodiment of the interface switching circuit 10 according to the present invention. The interface switching circuit 10 includes a switching control module 12, a first type communication interface 14, and a second type communication interface 16. In this embodiment, the first type communication interface 14 may be a DP interface, and the second type communication interface 16 may be a thunderbolt interface (thunderbolt).

At this time, the switching control module 12 detects the plugging state of the second type communication interface 16 and the display screen 30, so that the switching control module 12 sends the video data to the display screen 30 through the second type communication interface 16 for displaying.

The switching control module 12 may include a switching control chip 122, nineteen capacitors C1-C19, and a resistor R1. The switching control chip 122 includes twenty-four data pins D1-D24, six signal pins S1-S6, three detection pins Z1-Z3, three ground pins G1-G3, and a power pin PWR. The first type communication interface 14 includes eight data pins D25-D32, two signal pins S7-S8, and a detect pin Z4. The second type communication interface 16 includes eight data pins D33-D40, two signal pins S9-S10, and a detect pin Z5.
The eight data pins D1-D8 of the switching control chip 122 are electrically connected to the eight data pins D33-D40 of the second-type communication interface 16 through capacitors C1-C8, respectively, the two signal pins S1-S2 of the switching control chip 122 are electrically connected to the two signal pins S9-S10 of the second-type communication interface 16 through capacitors C9-C10, respectively, and the detection pin Z1 of the switching control chip 122 is electrically connected to the detection pin Z5 of the second-type communication interface 16. The data pins D9-D16, the signal pins S3-S4 and the detection pin Z2 of the switching control chip 122 are electrically connected to the video data output module 20. The eight data pins D17-D24 of the switching control chip 122 are electrically connected to the eight data pins D25-D32 of the first type communication interface 14 through eight capacitors C11-C18, respectively, the two signal pins S5-S6 of the switching control chip 122 are electrically connected to the two signal pins S7-S8 of the first type communication interface 14, respectively, and the detecting pin Z3 of the switching control chip 122 is electrically connected to the detecting pin Z4 of the first type communication interface 14. The detection pin Z3 of the switching control chip 122 is also grounded through the resistor R1. The ground pins G1-G3 of the switching control chip 122 are grounded, respectively. The power supply pin PWR of the switching control chip 122 is electrically connected to the power supply V1, and the power supply pin PWR of the switching control chip 122 is also grounded through a capacitor C19.
In the present embodiment, the power supply V1 is used to output a voltage of 5V.
The operation of the interface switching circuit 10 according to the present invention will be described in detail below.
In operation, when the display screen 30 has the first type communication interface 32, the first type communication interface 14 of the electronic device 100 is electrically connected to the first type communication interface 32 of the display screen 30, at this time, the electronic device 100 is in communication connection with the display screen 30, and the switching control chip 122 receives the video data output by the video data output module 20 through the eight data signal pins D9-D16, and transmits the video data to the eight data pins D25-D32 of the first type communication interface 14 through the eight data pins D17-D24. At this time, the electronic device 100 may transmit the video data to the display screen 30 for display through the first type communication interface 14.
When the display screen 30 has the second-type communication interface 34, the second-type communication interface 16 of the electronic device 100 is electrically connected to the second-type communication interface 34 of the display screen 30, and at this time, the electronic device 100 establishes a communication connection with the display screen 30, and the switching control chip 122 receives the video data output by the video data output module 20 through the eight data signal pins D9-D16, and transmits the video data to the eight data pins D33-D40 of the second-type communication interface 16 through the eight data pins D1-D8. At this time, the electronic device 100 may transmit the video data to the display screen 30 for display through the second type communication interface 16.
The interface switching circuit 10 and the electronic device 100 using the interface switching circuit 10 detect the plugging states of the first type communication interface 14 and the second type communication interface 16 through the switching control chip 122, and switch the connection between the first type communication interface 14 and the second type communication interface 16 and the video data output module 20 to output video data to the display screen 30, which is convenient for a user to use.
