In a side view of the vehicle, a lower portion of the ECU39 is covered from the outside in the vehicle width direction by the right seat frame 17, and an upper portion of the ECU39 protrudes upward from the right seat frame 17.
By disposing the ECU39 in the space S1 that is secured without providing a widened portion on the other side wall 155R in this way, the ECU39 can be disposed compactly in the vehicle width direction. Further, since the one side wall 155L includes the widened portion 161, the accommodation space 156 can be secured to be large.
Further, since the right seat frame 17 covers the ECU39 from the outside in the vehicle width direction, the ECU39 can be protected by the right seat frame 17.
The accessory shoe 165 is provided on the other side wall 155R side in the vehicle width direction. Therefore, the accessory shoe 165 approaches the ECU39, and the accessory shoe 165 and the ECU39 are easily connected.
The folded portion 163 at the upper end of the other side wall 155R covers the ECU39 from above. Therefore, the ECU39 can be protected by the folded portion 163.
As shown in fig. 5, each seat frame 17 is a frame in which an inner divided body 170 on the vehicle width direction inner side and an outer divided body 171 on the vehicle width direction outer side are joined.
The inner divided body 170 has a flat plate shape in a cross section of the seat frame 17 as viewed in the axial direction (the longitudinal direction of the seat frame 17).
The outer divided body 171 has a U-shape in cross section of the seat frame 17 as viewed in the axial direction.
The inner segment 170 and the outer segment 171 are press-formed parts formed by pressing plate materials.
The inner segment 170 is coupled to the outer segment 171 so as to close the open U-shaped portion of the outer segment 171. The seat frame 17 is formed in a tubular shape by joining the inner divided body 170 and the outer divided body 171 by welding. The seat frame 17 is a press-formed frame provided by coupling an inner divided body 170 and an outer divided body 171, which are press-formed members. Therefore, the seat frame 17 can be set with a high degree of freedom in shape in accordance with the required characteristics of the vehicle body frame 10, and can be molded with high accuracy.
The seat frame 17 is a frame having a vertically long cross section that is longer in the vertical direction than in the vehicle width direction in a cross section viewed in the axial direction. Thus, for example, the dimension of the seat frame 17 in the vehicle width direction can be reduced as compared with a case where the seat frame is configured by a pipe having a circular cross section to obtain the same rigidity as the seat frame 17. Therefore, the space S1 can be secured to be large, and the ECU39 can be easily disposed in the space S1.
The fuel tank 26 is disposed behind the storage tank 25 and covered from above by a fuel tank cover 173. The fuel fill inlet 26a of the fuel tank 26 is exposed upward from the opening 173a of the fuel tank cover 173.
The side covers 48, 48 cover the seat frames 17, the storage box 25, the ECU39, and the fuel tank 26 from the outside in the vehicle width direction.
The side covers 48, 48 integrally include: a side surface portion 48a that covers the seat frames 17, the storage box 25, the ECU39, and the fuel tank 26 from the sides; and an upper surface portion 48b extending inward in the vehicle width direction from an upper edge of the side surface portion 48 a.
The upper surface portion 48b extends in the vehicle width direction above the seat frames 17, and the inner edge portion 48c approaches the peripheral edge portion 152a of the opening 152 of the container box 25 from the outside in the vehicle width direction.
The upper surface portion 48b of the right side cover 48 covers the folded portion 163 of the storage box 25 from above.
The upper surface portion 48b of the left side cover 48 covers the inclined surface portion 159b of the outer extension 159 of the storage box 25 from above.
The left and right side covers 48, 48 are formed in a left-right symmetrical shape. In the present embodiment, since the folded portion 163 is not provided on the one side wall 155L on the side where the widened portion 161 is provided, the upper surface portion 48b of the left side cover 48 can be extended to the vicinity of the peripheral edge portion 152a of the opening 152. Accordingly, the upper surface portions 48b, 48b of the side covers 48, 48 can be set to have a bilaterally symmetrical shape, and therefore the left and right side covers 48, 48 can be set to have a bilaterally symmetrical shape.
Here, the left and right side covers 48, 48 may not have a completely bilaterally symmetrical shape, and for example, in the cross-sectional view of fig. 5, the cross-sectional shape of the base portion of the housing constituting the side covers 48, 48 may be bilaterally symmetrical. For example, the left and right side covers 48, 48 may have different shapes of display or detail parts of marks or the like attached to the outer surfaces thereof, and may have a left-right symmetrical shape.
As described above, according to the embodiment to which the present invention is applied, the motorcycle 1 includes the container 25 and the seat 13 for the passenger, the seat 13 covers the opening 152 in the upper surface of the container 25, only one side wall 155L of the one side wall 155L and the other side wall 155R of the container 25 in the vehicle width direction that define the storage space 156 of the container 25 is provided so as to be expanded outward in the vehicle width direction from the opening 152, and the ECU39 is disposed outward in the vehicle width direction from the other side wall 155R.
According to this configuration, since the one side wall 155L is expanded outward in the vehicle width direction from the opening 152, the capacity of the storage box 25 can be secured. Since the ECU39 is disposed outside the other side wall 155R without enlarging the capacity of the storage box 25 to the outside in the vehicle width direction on the other side wall 155R side, the ECU39 can be disposed compactly. Therefore, the appearance can be improved by suppressing the increase in size of the vehicle body due to the arrangement of the ECU39, and the capacity of the storage box 25 can be ensured.
Further, the storage box 25 includes a folded portion 163 extending outward in the vehicle width direction from the peripheral edge portion 152a of the opening 152 only on the other side wall 155R of the one side wall 155L and the other side wall 155R. According to this configuration, the strength and rigidity of the portion of the housing box 25 on the side where the ECU39 is disposed can be effectively increased by the folded portion 163 provided on the other side wall 155R side. Further, since the folded-back portion is not provided on one side wall 155L, a space outside the peripheral portion 152a of the opening 152 can be secured on the side of the one side wall 155L, and the degree of freedom in the arrangement of the components can be secured.
In addition, an accessory receptacle 165 is provided inside the storage box 25, and the accessory receptacle 165 is provided on the other side wall 155R side. According to this structure, since the accessory shoe 165 and the ECU39 are concentrated on the other side wall 155R side, the accessory shoe 165 and the ECU39 are easily connected.
Further, a fuel tank 26 disposed behind the storage box 25 and a pair of left and right side covers 48, 48 covering the storage box 25 and the fuel tank 26 from the left and right sides are provided, and the side covers 48, 48 have a left-right symmetrical shape. According to this configuration, even if the shape of the storage box 25 in the vicinity of the peripheral edge portion 152a of the opening 152 is different from the left to right, the side covers 48, 48 have a symmetrical shape, and therefore the appearance is good.
The seat frames 17, 17 extending forward and backward below the seat 13 are provided on the side of the storage box 25, and the ECU39 is provided between the seat frame 17 and the other side wall 155R. With this structure, the ECU39 can be protected by the seat frame 17.
The seat frame 17 has an axial cross-sectional shape that is longer in the vertical direction than in the vehicle width direction. According to this configuration, a large space can be ensured between the seat frame 17 and the storage box 25, and the ECU39 can be easily disposed between the seat frame 17 and the storage box 25.
The folded portion 163 covers the ECU39 from above. With this configuration, ECU39 can be protected by folded portion 163.
The above embodiment shows an embodiment to which the present invention is applied, and the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment.
In the above embodiment, the ECU39 has been described as an example of the electric components disposed on the vehicle width direction outer side of the other side wall 155R, but the present invention is not limited to this. The electrical components may be, for example, a small battery, a fuse box, a regulator, and the like.
In the above-described embodiment, the motorcycle 1 was described as an example of the saddle-ride type vehicle, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the present invention can be applied to a saddle-ride type vehicle having three wheels including two front wheels or two rear wheels, and a saddle-ride type vehicle having wheels with four or more wheels.
