Abstract
The invention relates to a backlight module which comprises a rubber frame, a light source, a light guide plate and a quantum dot film, wherein the light source is arranged on one side of the light guide plate, the quantum dot film is arranged on the upper end surface of the light guide plate, the rubber frame is arranged on the peripheries of the light guide plate and the quantum dot film, a boss is arranged on one side of the rubber frame, which faces the light guide plate, and the periphery of the quantum dot film extends out of the upper end surface of the light guide plate and extends to the boss. The invention can effectively solve the blue light leakage phenomenon caused by the failure edge of the quantum dot film and improve the display effect.

The normal quantum dot membrane is shaded and is applied to TV and flat board at present, and its LCD module frame width broad, the shading of frame is glued and can be effectively sheltered from the blue light, prevents to appear leaking the blue light phenomenon. The frame of the backlight module of the existing mobile electronic product is narrower than that of a TV and a flat-panel LCD module, and the leaked blue light cannot be absorbed by the shading adhesive tape, so that the blue phenomenon appears around the LCD module.

Detailed Description
To facilitate an understanding of the invention, the invention will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings. Preferred embodiments of the present invention are shown in the drawings. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein.
The backlight module and the display device are mainly applied to display modules of electronic products such as smart phones, tablet PCs and vehicles, so that the phenomenon that blue light leaks from the existing display modules is improved, and the displayed color brightness and saturation are improved.
As shown in fig. 1 and 5, in a first embodiment, the backlight module of the present invention mainly includes a rubber frame 1, a light source 2, a light guide plate 3, and a quantum dot film 4. When the light guide plate is specifically implemented, the reflecting film 5 is arranged below the light guide plate 3, light rays are emitted from the light source 2, enter the light guide plate 3 from the light incident surface, and are emitted from the light emitting surface after being reflected by the reflecting film 5. The quantum dot film 4 is disposed on the upper end surface of the light guide plate 3, and excites light emitted from the light guide plate 3 into white light. The rubber frame 1 is frame-shaped, is disposed on the outer periphery of the light guide plate 3 and the quantum dot film 4, and accommodates the light source 2 therein. In this embodiment, the periphery of the quantum dot film 4 may be bonded to the surface of the boss 6 by an adhesive, thereby fixing the quantum dot film 4.
Referring to fig. 2, in the second embodiment, a convex edge 7 is disposed at the upper end of the side of the plastic frame 1 facing the light guide plate 3, the convex edge 7 is opposite to the boss 6, and a fixing groove 8 for fixing the quantum dot film 4 is formed therebetween, so that during assembly, the periphery of the quantum dot film 4 can be inserted into the fixing groove 8, thereby fixing the quantum dot film 4, and the periphery of the quantum dot film 4 can be accommodated in the fixing groove 8, thereby further preventing the blue light from leaking out of the failure edge of the quantum dot film 4.
Referring to fig. 3, in the third embodiment, a first light conversion layer 9 is disposed on a surface of the plastic frame 1 facing the light guide plate 3. In specific implementation, the first light conversion layer 9 may be a yellow glue layer or a yellow quantum dot layer, the yellow glue layer may be formed on the surface of the glue frame 1 by spraying, and the yellow quantum dot layer may be adhered to the surface of the glue frame 1 by an adhesive or integrally formed with the glue frame 1. The first light conversion layer 9 can supplement light for blue light emitted from the side surface of the light guide plate, and the blue light is reflected by the yellow light conversion layer 9 to form white light, so that the display brightness is enhanced, and the phenomenon of blue light leakage is further reduced.
Referring to fig. 4, in the fourth embodiment, a second light conversion layer 10 is disposed on a side surface of the light guide plate 3. In a specific implementation, the second light conversion layer 10 may be a yellow glue layer or a yellow quantum dot layer, the yellow glue layer may be formed on the surface of the light guide plate 3 by spraying, and the yellow quantum dot layer may be adhered to the surface of the light guide plate 3 by an adhesive. The second light conversion layer 10 can supplement light for the blue light emitted from the side surface of the light guide plate, and the blue light forms white light after passing through the second light conversion layer 10, so that the display brightness is enhanced, and the phenomenon of blue light leakage is further reduced.
It should be noted that, in the above embodiment, the material of the rubber frame 1 preferably uses a PC (polycarbonate) material or a yellow quantum dot material made of a yellow master batch, so that the whole rubber frame 1 is yellow, and the blue light is reflected by the yellow rubber frame 1 to form white light, thereby further improving the display effect and avoiding the phenomenon of blue light leakage.
In the above embodiment, the light source 2 includes the flexible circuit board and the blue LED, the flexible circuit board is adhered to the inner side of the adhesive frame 1 by the adhesive tape or the adhesive, and the blue LED is mounted on the flexible circuit board and faces the light incident surface of the light guide plate 3. Blue light can be excited by the quantum dot film 4 to form white light.
In the above embodiment, the quantum dot film 4 is provided with the optical film, the optical film includes the upper brightness enhancement film 11 and the lower brightness enhancement film 12, and the upper brightness enhancement film 11, the lower brightness enhancement film 12, and the quantum dot film 4 are stacked from top to bottom. The upper brightness enhancement film 11 and the lower brightness enhancement film 12 are used for improving the overall brightness of the backlight module.
It should be understood that, in the above embodiment, an iron shell 14 is further included, and the iron shell 14 is disposed below the reflective film 5 and wraps the outer periphery of the rubber frame 1 to support the backlight module.
Referring to fig. 5, the present invention further provides a display device, which includes the backlight module and a liquid crystal display 13 disposed on the backlight module.
According to the invention, the boss 6 is arranged on the rubber frame 1, the periphery of the quantum dot film 4 extends to the boss 6, so that the quantum dot film 4 completely covers the light emergent area of the light guide plate 3, the blue light emitted from the light guide plate 3 is excited into white light through the quantum dot film 4, and the edge of the quantum dot film 4 is positioned above the boss 6, so that the blue light avoids the failure edge of the quantum dot film 4, and the phenomenon of blue light leakage is improved.

6. The backlight module as claimed in claim 1, wherein a second light conversion layer is disposed on a side surface of the light guide plate.
7. The backlight module as claimed in claim 5 or 6, wherein the first and second light conversion layers are yellow glue layers or yellow quantum dot layers.
8. The backlight module as claimed in claim 1, wherein the light source comprises a flexible circuit board and a blue LED, the flexible circuit board is adhered to the inner side of the adhesive frame, and the blue LED is mounted on the flexible circuit board and faces the light guide plate.

The film assembly of claim 1, wherein an optical film is disposed on the quantum dot film, the optical film comprises an upper brightness enhancement film and a lower brightness enhancement film, and the upper brightness enhancement film, the lower brightness enhancement film, and the quantum dot film are stacked from top to bottom.
