After determining the second terminal information, the APN configuration file may be searched based on the second terminal information, and if the first terminal information of the terminal to be configured corresponds to the second terminal information, it may be said that the terminal needs to configure the APN information, where the correspondence may be completely the same or may be in different forms but the indicated contents are substantially the same. If the corresponding first terminal information is not found in the APN configuration file, it indicates that the terminal itself does not need to configure the APN information, and the next configuration operation is not needed.
The terminal may adopt various methods for determining the second terminal information. For example, if the terminal is provided with a positioning module, the terminal may be positioned by the positioning module, and after the positioning information of the terminal is determined, the area where the terminal is located may be further determined based on the positioning information, so as to obtain second terminal information, so as to determine whether to configure the APN information. Alternatively, when the second terminal information is specified, the second terminal information may be specified based on factory information set at the time of factory shipment of the terminal. In general, a terminal may be provided with corresponding factory information when it leaves a factory, where the factory information may include a region to which the terminal is to be sent, and if the factory information includes the information, the terminal may determine a current region according to the factory information. Then, the APN configuration file can be searched through the positioning information or the factory information.
Further, the second terminal information of the terminal itself may be related not only to the region where the terminal itself is located, but also to the network with which it is associated. Specifically, in the actual application process, the applied scenes of the terminals purchased by different customers are different, and the associated networks are also different. For example, the terminal may be associated with an open network, a closed network, a wide area network, or a local area network within a company. Therefore, even in the same area, when different clients (or the same client) connect to different networks, the APN information corresponding to the different clients may be different.
Therefore, the second terminal information may include first information related to a region where the terminal is currently located and second information related to a network with which the terminal is associated. When searching in the APN information, the search may be performed based on the second information, that is, it is first determined in the APN profile whether there is the first terminal information related to the network associated with the APN. If not, the search is not required to be continued, if yes, further search can be carried out in the existing first terminal information, whether the first terminal information corresponding to the first information exists is determined, if still exists, the first terminal information of the terminal to be configured corresponds to the second terminal information of the terminal, the terminal needs to be configured, and the next configuration operation can be executed.

In one embodiment, except that the terminal locally determines that the APN information needs to be configured after acquiring the OTA upgrade package, the management platform may also actively send a configuration instruction. When a worker or a system judges that the terminal needs to configure the APN information, a corresponding configuration instruction can be sent to the terminal. The configuration instructions may or may not include an APN profile. After receiving the configuration instruction, the terminal can directly configure the APN information of the terminal if the configuration instruction includes the APN configuration file, and if the configuration instruction does not include the APN configuration file, the terminal can actively acquire the corresponding APN configuration file on the management platform and then configure the APN configuration file.
