It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and do not limit the invention.
The method for automatically extracting the feature points of the digital model of the preoperative nasal-alveolar process appliance comprises the following steps of:
s1, obtaining an oral impression type file and preprocessing the oral impression type file, wherein the oral cavity model is a digital model comprising a plurality of triangular surface patches;
s2, carrying out coordinate system transformation on the preprocessed oral cavity impression model, and eliminating the offset angle of the bottom plane;
s3, carrying out segmentation treatment on the oral impression model after the coordinate system transformation, removing redundant parts, and only reserving the digital models of the alveolar bone parts of the healthy side and the affected side to be treated;
s4, projecting two-dimensional planes of the digital models of the alveolar bones on the two sides, and performing image fitting on projected images of the alveolar bones on the two sides to obtain a fitting image;
and S5, performing side plane projection on the healthy side alveolar bone and the affected side alveolar bone according to the fitting graph, segmenting out ridge lines according to the side plane projection, and extracting and obtaining the coordinates of the characteristic points according to the trend of the ridge lines.
The method for automatically extracting the feature points of a preoperative nasal-alveolar process appliance (PNAM) digital model comprises five parts, namely oral impression pretreatment, model coordinate system transformation, segmentation of a healthy side and an affected side of the model, fitting of alveolar bone images on two sides and extraction of the feature points.
S1, pre-treating an oral cavity impression.
Stl file, the stored content is triangle patch, using finite element to approach three-dimensional digital model using finite triangle plane, the more triangle patch, the finer model, the bigger size of file. In order to operate the position coordinates of each point in the file, the digital model file can be analyzed by using math software MATLAB, the coordinates of each vertex of the triangle in the file are separated, and then the triangle is drawn in the software again by using a patch function.
And S2, transforming a coordinate system.
Since the impression is made manually, the base plane will have an offset angle.
Calculating the offset angle of the bottom plane, taking any two points p1 (x 1, y0, z 1) and p2 (x 2, y0, z 2) with the same y coordinate of the bottom plane, and calculating the offset angle theta 1= arctan ((z 2-z 1)/(x 2-x 1)) in the xoz direction. Traversing all triangle vertexes p (x, y, z 0) on the model, modifying the z coordinates of the points to ensure that the z coordinates of the p points are z0- (x-x 1) × tan theta 1, and the transformed point coordinates are p3 (x, y, z 3);

Traversing all triangle vertexes p3 (x, y, z 3) on the model, modifying the z coordinates of the points to ensure that the z coordinates of the p3 points are z3- (y-y 1) tan theta 2, and the converted point coordinates are p4 (x, y, z 4);
and S3, segmenting the healthy side and the affected side of the model.
A digital model of a preoperative nasal-alveolar process appliance (PNAM) is generally used for preoperative orthodontics of oral cleft lip and palate, so the region of interest for the model is two impression portions of the alveolar bone, which determine the quality of the result of the preoperative repair of the cleft lip and palate. Three points on the bottom plane (vertices on both sides of the semicircle and the center point of the circular arc) are marked using MATLAB, and one plane Ax + By + Cz =1 is determined from these three points. Taking the upper part of the plane, i.e.The model is called M2. Then, the digital model is divided into a healthy side and an affected side according to a boundary of the coordinate values, and the model is divided, wherein the healthy side is named as M2_0, and the affected side is named as M2_1.
And S4, fitting the alveolar bone images on the two sides.
And (4) projecting a two-dimensional plane on the model M2, wherein the scene is black after binarization, and the projection is white. And (5) carrying out coordinate transformation on the point set in the M2, and naming the picture as H1.
And (3) carrying out binarization on the picture: and traversing pixel points of the picture H1, and converting the value p of the pixel points (x, y) to generate a binary image (H2).
The projection results are shown in fig. 1.
Observing the alveolar bone parts on both sides determines fitting with an ellipse. And respectively carrying out ellipse fitting on the graphs on the two sides, wherein the ellipse fitting adopts a fitting scheme based on a least square method as an optimization target. The binarized image H2 is scanned line by line, and the first scanned point with a pixel value of 255 in each line is a boundary point, and the boundary points are stored as a point set Ω (x, y). According to the least square method, the optimization target is that the error sum of squares of all data points is minimum.
Let the ellipse equation at any position of the plane be x ^2+ Axy + By ^2+ Cx + Dy + E =0, and for all points in the point set omega (x, y), the objective function to be fitted is To minimize F needs to be satisfied
The parameters A, B, C, D and E can be obtained to obtain an elliptic equation. After the position of the fitted ellipse is determined, it is superimposed on the original image with a black ellipse, as shown in fig. 2. Two ellipses are restored to the original three-dimensional digital model, as shown in FIG. 3. From this fitted graph, the lower vertices of the major axes of the two ellipses are considered as two feature points (the final point T of the alveolar ridge on the healthy side and the final point T' of the alveolar ridge on the affected side).
And S5, extracting the characteristic points.
Storing all the points of the healthy side model into an array, traversing the array, and performing the following coordinate transformation to obtain the projection of the model to the xoz plane;
and traversing the array to perform the following coordinate transformation to obtain the projection of the model to the yoz plane.
The binarized projection images are referred to as P1 (for xoz projection) and P2 (for yoz projection), respectively. The binarized images P1 and P2 are scanned column by column from bottom to top, the point with the first pixel value of 255 scanned in each column is a boundary point, the boundary points are stored as point sets Ω 1 (x, z) and Ω 2 (y, z), and the line formed by the point sets is a ridge line, as shown in fig. 4. Polynomial fitting was performed using the ployfit function using the Matlab math software input point set Ω 1 (x, z) and then the curve was derived using the ployder function. The points p1_1 (x 1, z 1), p1_2 (x 2, z 2) at which the derivative is 0 can be obtained. The same operation is performed on the point set Ω 2, and the point p2_1 (y 1, z 1), p2_2 (y 2, z 2) with the derivative of 0 is obtained. The coordinates (x 1, y1, z 1) and (x 2, y2, z 2) are thus extracted as the coordinates of the two feature points C (healthy cheek ligament) and I (labial ligament), as shown in fig. 5.
The coordinates of the feature point C' (affected cheek frenulum) can be extracted by performing the same operation as above on the affected side model after the separation, as shown in fig. 6.
It will be appreciated that modifications and variations are possible to those skilled in the art in light of the above teachings, and it is intended to cover all such modifications and variations as fall within the scope of the appended claims.
