The suspension liquid added into the rotary drum forms an annular liquid layer under the action of centrifugal force, and solid particles in the annular liquid layer are settled on the wall of the rotary drum to form sediment. The clarified liquid is discharged through an overflow port of the rotary drum or a pipette, and is called separation liquid. And (5) discharging sediments by a manual or mechanical method when the separation is finished. The solid particles move axially along with the liquid flow in the process of settling towards the wall of the rotary drum, when the feeding amount is too large, the solid particles flow to an overflow port along with the liquid, and fine particles which do not settle to the wall of the rotary drum are discharged out of the rotary drum along with the separation liquid, so that the separation liquid is turbid. For suspension difficult to separate, which has small density difference of solid and liquid phases, small solid particles or large liquid viscosity, a sedimentation centrifuge with high separation factor is selected, and the retention time of the suspension in a rotary drum is prolonged (for example, the feeding amount is reduced or a long rotary drum is adopted), so that the clarification of a separation liquid can be ensured. The sedimentation centrifuge has wide application, and is particularly suitable for separating suspension when the filtration resistance is too large or fine particles are lost too much due to the fact that solid particles easily block a filter medium in centrifugal filtration, but the moisture content of sediment is higher. The sedimentation centrifuge can be used for the separation of suspensions such as crystallization, chemical precipitates, coal dust and the like, the dehydration of various sewage and sludge, the deslagging and clarification of animal and vegetable oil and the like. The sedimentation centrifuge is divided into a batch operation and a continuous operation.
At present, after a sedimentation centrifuge centrifuges suspension, separated solid phase particles cannot be discharged, so that the normal work of the sedimentation centrifuge is influenced.

The relative motion between the spiral pusher 5 and the rotary drum 4 is realized by the differential mechanism 2, the rotation speed difference between the rotary drum 4 and the spiral pusher 5 is controlled by the auxiliary motor 1, the driving motor 10 drives the rotary drum 4 to rotate through the transmission device 9, the differential mechanism 2 and the auxiliary motor 1 generate the differential speed between the rotary drum 4 and the spiral pusher 5 to realize the functions of sludge dewatering and material pushing, and thus the continuous separation process of the centrifuge to materials is realized.
