Abstract

The invention discloses a method for informing an RLC layer to carry out ARQ retransmission by utilizing an MAC layer in a 5GNR wireless communication system, wherein after the RLC layer of a gNB sending end sends RLC PDU to the MAC layer, the MAC layer binds SN of downlink RLC PDU and HARQ process ID for transmitting the downlink RLC PDU, when HARQ reaches the maximum retransmission times, a receiving end still feeds back NACK, and the MAC layer of the sending end reads SN of related downlink RLC PDU from stored HARQ process which fails and feeds back the SN to the RLC layer, thereby triggering ARQ. In the invention, under the condition that the MAC layer of the gNB sending end fails in the HARQ, the gNB sending end can give priority to the RLC status report to inform the RLC layer of ARQ retransmission, thereby reducing the time delay of the ARQ retransmission and improving the ARQ efficiency; the application effect is not influenced by external factors such as the transmission opportunity provided by the MAC layer of the UE receiving end to the RLC layer, the t-response size and the like, and the action reliability is high; the method has the advantages of low cost, simple structure and easy realization, and has important value for a 5GNR wireless communication system.

Description

Method for notifying RLC to perform ARQ retransmission by using MAC layer
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a mobile communication system, and more particularly, to a method for rapidly acquiring a status report from a medium access control layer in an acknowledged mode by a radio link control layer in a 5G radio access network.
Background
In a 5GNR wireless communication system, a Data Packet received by a base station and a core network first passes through a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer, is compressed and encrypted by an IP header, and then is transferred to a Radio Link Control (RLC), segmented and concatenated according to the transmission requirements of a Media Access Control (MAC), and then is transferred to an MAC layer, and finally forms a wireless signal from an air interface (air interface) to be transmitted.
According to the characteristics and requirements of service transmission, data transmission is mainly divided into tm (transparent mode), um (uplink mode), and AM (uplink mode) in the RLC layer, and the AM mode provides a reliable transmission service through error detection and arq (automatic Repeat request). The 5G NR provides a more reliable transmission service through ARQ in the RLC AM mode and harq (hybrid Automatic Repeat request) provided by the MAC layer in cooperation.
According to the 3gpp protocol 38.3225.2.3, the retransmission mechanism for RLC AM mode is as follows:
the RLC receiving end entity maintains a timer t-response for each downlink RLC PDU (Protocol Data Unit), and when the timer is overtime and the RLC receiving end entity still does not receive the corresponding downlink RLC PDU, sends a status report (status report PDU) to the RLC sending end entity to notify the RLC sending end entity of retransmission. The timing of RLC status report transmission is limited by the transmission opportunity and the size of t-response provided to the RLC layer by the MAC layer of the receiving end.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to solve the problem that the sending time of the RLC status report is limited, the invention provides a method for informing the RLC by using an MAC layer to carry out ARQ retransmission.
The invention discloses a method for informing an RLC layer to perform ARQ retransmission by using an MAC layer in a 5GNR wireless communication system, which is characterized by comprising the following steps:
a method for notifying an RLC layer of ARQ retransmissions in a 5GNR wireless communication system using a MAC layer, comprising:
s1: in an RLC AM mode, the gNB transmits a data packet of the PDCP layer to the RLC layer of the sending end;
s2: the gNB sending end RLC layer sends downlink RLC PDU to the MAC layer, and the MAC layer binds SN of the downlink RLC PDU and HARQ process for transmitting the downlink RLC PDU;
s3: a gNB sending end sends an MAC PDU consisting of one or more downlink RLC PDUs to a UE receiving end from an air interface;
s4: if the maximum retransmission times of the HARQ is reached, the UE receiving end still feeds back negative acknowledgement NACK, namely HARQ fails, and the SN of the relevant downlink RLC PDU is read from the saved HARQ process of the HARQ failure by the MAC layer and fed back to the RLC layer.
After the step S4, a step S5 is further included:
s5: and the gNB sending end RLC layer receives the SN of the relevant downlink RLC PDU fed back by the MAC layer and sends the corresponding data information to the MAC layer, namely, the ARQ retransmission is triggered.
The step S1 further includes:
in the RLC AM mode, a data packet received by the gNB sending end passes through the packet data convergence protocol PDCP layer, and is compressed and encrypted by the IP header before being transferred to the RLC layer.
The step S2 further includes:
the gNB sending end RLC layer segments and concatenates the data according to the transmission requirement of the MAC layer, and then sends the downlink RLC PDU to the MAC layer, and the MAC layer binds the SN of the downlink RLC PDU and the HARQ process for transmitting the downlink RLC PDU.
The invention achieves the following beneficial effects:
the invention can give priority to RLC status report to inform the RLC layer to carry out ARQ retransmission under the condition that the MAC layer of the gNB sending end fails in HARQ, thereby reducing the time delay of ARQ retransmission and improving the ARQ efficiency.
The application effect of the invention is not influenced by the transmission opportunity provided by the MAC layer of the UE receiving end to the RLC layer, the t-response size, the other external factors and the like, and the action reliability is high.
The invention has low cost, simple structure and easy realization, and has important value for a 5GNR wireless communication system.
