Description

Cosmetic composition for hair or scalp for enhancing fluffy feeling of hair
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for hair or scalp for enhancing the voluminous feeling of hair, and more particularly, to a cosmetic composition for enhancing the voluminous feeling of hair, which comprises, as an active ingredient, a hydrophobic polymer alone or a mixture of a hydrophobic polymer and a nonionic polymer as an active ingredient, the hydrophobic polymer exhibiting an effect of enhancing the voluminous feeling of hair by increasing the Hydrophobicity (hydroperiodicity) of a hair shaft portion in a hair close to the scalp.
Background
Hair is a thin and fine protein structure having an average thickness of about 0.07mm, and is roughly divided into a Hair trunk (Hair sharp) exposed to the outside of the skin and a Hair Root (Hair Root) inside the skin. The scalp has a basic structure and physiological functions similar to those of the skin, and Hair follicles (Hair follicles) are characterized by being more complex than others and having many sebaceous glands. The root of the hair is a part inside the hair follicle, which is a part buried in the scalp and has a depth of about 2 to 4 mm. The bottommost part of the Hair root swells like a bead, and this part is called a Hair Bulb (Hair Bulb), and the thickness of the Hair depends on the size of this part.
Enlarging the cross section of the hair it can be seen that it is divided into three parts, namely the innermost and central Medulla (Medulla), the Cortex surrounding the Medulla (Cortex) and the outermost Cuticle (Cuticle). The horny layer is a portion having high chemical resistance that covers the surface of hair and wraps the inside of hair, and is composed of three layers called an upper epidermis (Epicuticle), an outer epidermis (Exocuticle), and an inner epidermis (Endocuticle) from the outside. The hair cortex is present on the inner side of the cuticle, occupies most (85-90%) of hair, and is composed of keratin as a main component, which is composed of cortical cells and intercellular binding substances, and is a hydrophilic part susceptible to permanent dyeing. The hair medulla is present in the central part of the hair, with some melanin particles, and many large and small bubbles are present in the medulla, thus containing air.
Hair is generally composed of a protein called keratin, specifically keratin containing 14 to 18% of cystine among 18 amino acids. These keratins are one of very strong proteins under mild conditions such as water and neutral solvents, but are easily damaged by excessive physicochemical treatments such as heat during combing and hair blowing, dyeing, and permanent waving. Recently, there have been problems that hair is damaged due to various physical, chemical or environmental factors such as frequent perms, dyeing, etc., thereby making hair rough, losing luster, thereby reducing flexibility and flexibility, and it is difficult to finish hair due to increase of friction, and hair is cut or split at hair tips, and hair becomes thin, loses elasticity, thereby losing vitality and drooping, thereby losing a fluffy feeling.
The volume of hair depends on the total area of the hair mass consisting of more than one hair strand covering (occupying) the skin. For example, if there are two persons having similar head shapes and hairstyles, wherein one person has a long hair length and the other person has a short hair length, the voluminous feeling of the hair can be said to be larger (the volume of the hair is high) because the hair area of the person having a long hair length is larger than that of the person having a short hair length. In addition, the greater the distance between the Hair strands constituting the Hair strand (Hair Bundle or Hair Tress), particularly the distance between the Hair strands at the Hair shaft portion near the Hair root (Hair stem, Hair shaft), the greater the distance between the Hair strands at the Hair shaft portion at the Hair tip (Hair tip portion), and the higher the bulkiness of the Hair. That is, a person who has a large area of the entire hair on the skin and a large distance between hair strands is generally considered to have more abundant hair because the hair has an increased bulky feeling.
In the case of hair, the thickness of hair fibers tends to be reduced due to aging of skin, particularly skin or hair due to exposure to ultraviolet rays outdoors, or lack of components constituting hair fibers and/or deformation of hair fiber structures due to chemical/physical damage, and the strength of hair fibers also tends to be weakened, thereby reducing the hair volume.
In particular, even for a person having a similar head shape and hairstyle, the volume feeling of hair varies depending on the thickness and strength of hair fibers, and for example, if the strength of hair fibers becomes weak, the force of supporting the remaining hair from the tip portion of the hair shaft portion of the hair protruding from the hair root to the outside of the skin among the hairs growing from the scalp decreases. As a result, the whole hair may "droop", which may give a cosmetically negative feeling such as "fluffy look low", "look weak", or "aged hair", and may make it difficult to manage the hair, such as hairstyle.
In order to maintain and enhance the volume feeling of hair, it is important to enhance the elasticity of hair, and in particular, to enhance the elasticity of hair by strengthening the roots (roots) of hair, thereby imparting an effect of focusing on the overall hairstyle.
The hair can absorb 40% of water in liquid/gas state based on the weight of the hair, and the moisture content of the hair is affected by the surrounding environment. For example, it is known that the moisture content of hair increases when exposed to an environment in which a high temperature state is maintained, an environment in which a pH change is large, an environment in which hydrogen bonds of hair are broken due to hair damage, or the like.
Changes in the Hydration (Hydration) of hair are known to affect the elasticity (FiberElasticity) of the fibers. For example, it is known that the diameter of a hair strand (Thread) increases by about 0.5 to 1% when the moisture content of the hair increases by 15 to 10% (Maria et al, Brazilian jr of pharm., Vol45, n.1, 2009).
In particular, in terms of the chemical properties of hair, the hair part adjacent to the scalp and the hair part distant from the scalp are different, and the Cuticle (Cuticle) of the hair part close to the scalp exists in an intact state, but the Tip part (Tip) of the hair exists in a state of almost no Cuticle (Bhushan et al, Progress in Materials Science,53: 585-.
In addition, although compositions for washing hair or scalp, such as shampoo, have a general function of washing hair and scalp, a variety of products having additional functions in addition to the original washing purpose have been recently introduced, and specifically, products for preventing hair from flying apart after hair drying and improving flexibility by using silicon, products for the purpose of finishing and repairing hair damaged by hair treatment such as dyeing and perming, and the like have been developed. However, although the conventional products are advantageous in providing conditioning effects such as flexibility, moisturizing property, flexibility, and ease of combing to hair by using silicon, there is a problem in that hair having weak elasticity such as fine hair or damaged hair is excessively collapsed and sagged, thereby giving a fluffy feeling to hair. In order to solve such problems, a hair cosmetic for improving the suppleness of hair and restoring and strengthening damaged hair at the time of washing or after washing has been continuously studied. As a result, various methods for imparting a strong and sustained hair conditioning effect have been tried and developed, and have been put to practical use.
According to the prior art, there are examples of expressing or appealing cosmetically whether or not to give a voluminous feeling of hair by using a hair coating ingredient in a cleansing/hair-growth product, but there has been no clear report on specifically using what ingredients to give a voluminous feeling of hair. In addition, in the existing hair cosmetic compositions, polyquaternium-11, polysilicon, polyurethane, etc. are also used alone to impart a voluminous feel to hair, but the effect of enhancing the voluminous feel has not yet been achieved to a satisfactory level in practice.
Under such a technical background, the present inventors have made extensive efforts to develop an external preparation for hair for improving the hair condition such as hair volume, and as a result, have found that, in comparison with conventional cosmetic compositions for coating hair (e.g., shampoo, hair conditioner, etc.), when using a cosmetic composition for enhancing hair volume, which comprises a hydrophobic polymer alone as an active ingredient or a mixture of a hydrophobic polymer and a nonionic polymer as active ingredients, preferably a mixture of a hydrophobic polymer comprising isododecane/butyl acrylate/hydroxypropyl dimethicone acrylate copolymer, vinyl dimethicone/methicone silsesquioxane crosspolymer and polyquaternium-55 and polyquaternium-11 as a nonionic polymer, the present inventors have confirmed that the hair has an improved bulky feeling (increased bulky feeling of hair), and that the elastic feeling of the top hair positioned above the head is increased, the hair residual feeling of the cosmetic composition is improved, and the tail coating feeling of the hair is improved, thereby completing the present invention.

Specifically, the hydrophobic polymer may be included in an amount of 0.005 wt% or more, preferably 0.05 wt% or more, based on the total weight of the composition. When the content of the hydrophobic polymer in the composition is less than 0.005% by weight, the desired effects of enhancing the voluminous feeling of hair (improving the elastic feeling of the overhead hair positioned on the head, etc.), improving the hair residual feeling (foreign body feeling) of the composition, and improving the tail coating feeling of hair cannot be exhibited as the active ingredient of the composition, and when the content of the hydrophobic polymer in the composition exceeds 1% by weight, the composition cannot be sufficiently dissolved in the composition, and cannot be stably blended with other components of the composition, and when applied to the skin, there is a possibility that a problem in stability such as excessive skin irritation may occur.
In the present invention, the limited amount of the hydrophobic polymer is considered for the cosmetic composition comprising the mixture of the hydrophobic polymer and the nonionic polymer according to the regulations related to cosmetic safety. Specifically, the hydrophobic polymer may be included in the mixture in an amount of 0.005 to 1% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition, while maintaining the mixing weight ratio of the hydrophobic polymer and the nonionic polymer. When the content of the hydrophobic polymer in the composition is less than 0.005% by weight, the desired effects of enhancing the voluminous feeling of hair (improving the elastic feeling of the overhead hair positioned on the head, etc.), improving the hair residual feeling (foreign body feeling) of the composition, and improving the tail coating feeling of hair cannot be exhibited as the active ingredient of the composition, and when the content of the hydrophobic polymer in the composition exceeds 1% by weight, the composition cannot be sufficiently dissolved in the cosmetic composition, and cannot be stably blended with other ingredients of the composition, and when applied to the skin, there is a possibility that a problem in stability such as excessive skin irritation may occur.
In the present invention, the amount of the nonionic polymer to be used in the cosmetic composition comprising the mixture of the hydrophobic polymer and the nonionic polymer is limited in consideration of the regulations relating to cosmetic safety. Specifically, the nonionic polymer may be included in the mixture in an amount of 0.001 to 1% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition, while maintaining the mixing weight ratio of the hydrophobic polymer and the nonionic polymer. When the content of the nonionic polymer in the composition is less than 0.001 wt%, the desired effects of enhancing the volume feeling of hair (e.g., increasing the elastic feeling of overhead hair, etc.), improving the hair-remaining feeling (foreign body feeling) of the composition, and improving the tail-end coating feeling of hair cannot be exhibited as the active ingredient of the composition, and when the content of the nonionic polymer in the composition exceeds 1 wt%, the nonionic polymer cannot be sufficiently dissolved in the composition, and thus cannot be stably blended with other ingredients of the composition, and when the composition is applied to the skin, there is a possibility that a problem in stability such as excessive skin irritation may occur.

The present invention is characterized in that the composition is used for improving the elasticity feeling of the top hair of the head positioned on the upper part of the head, improving the residual feeling of the hair, and improving the finish coating feeling of the hair, but is not limited thereto. The residual feeling of hair is the degree of residual foreign body feeling (for example, foreign body feeling due to a cosmetic composition or the like) remaining on the hair surface, and the lower the residual feeling of hair, the more improved the residual feeling of hair, and the more refreshing the hair is.
The present invention is characterized in that the composition is a cleaning-type hair cleansing composition.
In the present invention, the formulation of the composition is not particularly limited, and the composition may be a cosmetic composition having formulations such as ointment, nutrient lotion for hair, massage cream for hair, hair pack, hair tonic, hair cream, hair conditioner, hair treatment gel, scalp care solution, shampoo, hair rinse, and the like. The composition of these various dosage forms may contain various ingredients commonly blended in cosmetic compositions according to the various dosage forms described above or in accordance with the final purpose, and the kind and amount of these ingredients can be easily selected by a person having ordinary skill in the art. For example, as the component to be blended in the composition, an oil or fat component, a moisturizer, a lubricant, a surfactant, an organic or inorganic pigment, an organic powder, an ultraviolet absorber, a preservative, a bactericide, an antioxidant, a plant extract, a pH adjuster, alcohol, a pigment, a perfume, a blood circulation promoter, a cooling agent, an antiperspirant, purified water, and the like can be used.

Detailed Description
The present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the following examples. These examples are provided only for illustrating the present invention and it is not to be construed that the scope of the present invention is limited to these examples, which will be apparent to those having ordinary skill in the art.
Test example 1:hair tresses suitable for evaluation of efficacy in improving the volume of hair by a small amount of test substance Confirmation of the number of hairs
Conventional Tress (Tress) used in the evaluation of hair formulation has a large number of hair strands, so that waste of raw materials used in the evaluation of formulation is serious, and it is difficult to evaluate the hair volume between the tresses, and therefore, a suitable Tress for efficacy evaluation for improving hair volume by a small amount of test substance (raw material) was produced.
First, different numbers of hair strands were treated with BMAS-AP (Isododecane/Butyl Acrylate/Hydroxypropyl polydimethylsiloxane Acrylate copolymer) for imparting a bulky feeling, and then the distance from the starting point (point) at which the hair strands were inclined at an angle of 45 ° was measured to confirm whether the hair bulky feeling was enhanced, thereby confirming the number of hair strands suitable for the evaluation of the level of hair bulky feeling enhanced by a small amount of the test substance. The specific test method is as follows.
(1) Hair portions of approximately 1cm from the root end of black hair having a length of approximately 25cm were bonded with a quick-drying adhesive to produce long hair strands each composed of 5, 10,20, 40, 80, and 100 filaments (option 1: hair shaft portions of 4 to 6cm (5 cm) from among hair shaft (stem) portions protruding from the root to the outside of the skin were treated with a bleaching agent (first agent: second agent: 3:1) for 30 minutes), the original fluffy feel of the hair strands was reduced by the bleaching treatment, and it was possible to more clearly confirm whether or not the fluffy feel of hair treated with the test substance, particularly hair portions of 4 to 6cm close to the root among hair shaft portions of hair, was increased or decreased [ option 2] hair strands belonging to hair shaft end portions protruding from the root to the outside of the skin were subjected to dyeing treatment by the terminal portion (tip region) of hair strands, the Hydrophilicity (hydropathicity) of the terminal portions of the hair strands increases, while the Hydrophobicity (hydropathicity) of the hair portions close to the hair roots increases, so that the influence of the hydrophobic/hydrophilic properties of the hair portions close to the hair roots on the voluminous feeling of the hair can be accurately evaluated.
(2) The hair shaft portion of the long hair strands about 5cm from the end of the hair root was treated with a test substance (control group: distilled water) at an appropriate content (for example, 2g), and then kneaded about 20 times to be coated (see fig. 2).
(3) The hair shaft portion of the long hair strands coated with the test substance was washed with running water and completely dried (using a hair dryer), and then left at room temperature (18 to 25 ℃) for about 30 minutes.
(4) After the step (3) is completed, the hair strands are formed parallel to the horizontal plane and fixed so that the hair shaft portion 4 to 6cm from the end of the hair (the hair portion 4 to 6cm from the hair root of the skin or scalp to the outside of the skin, which is close to the hair root) is located (outside the portion where the adhesive is present) as the starting point O.
(5) The hair was naturally inclined in the horizontal plane direction, A point (A) forming an angle of 45 ° with the horizontal plane was recorded, and the length (O-A) from A starting point O at the hair shaft portion to the point (A) forming an angle of 45 ° with the horizontal plane was measured, thereby confirming the number of hairs suitable for the plait in the evaluation of the voluminous feeling of the hair.

Figure BDA0002424581660000141
As A result, as shown in table 1 and fig. 3, the O-A lengths of the BMAS-AP treated hair strands were longer as A whole than those of the distilled water treated hair strands, and it was revealed that the change in the hair volume could be clearly confirmed even with the naked eye, and particularly, when the number of hair strands was 100 to less than 150, it was most advantageous to confirm the change in the hair volume.
The level of increase and decrease in hair volume was evaluated for 7 materials out of the test substances in table 2 below, with the number of hair strands in the hair tresses set to 100.
[ TABLE 2]
Figure BDA0002424581660000142
Figure BDA0002424581660000151
As a result, as shown in table 3 below, it was confirmed that the isododecane/butyl acrylate/hydroxypropyl polydimethylsiloxane acrylate copolymer (BMAS-AP) was most excellent in the effect of improving the hair volume, and that the vinyl polydimethylsiloxane/polymethylsiloxane silsesquioxane crosslinked polymer (KSP-101), acrylic acid/C10-30 alkanol acrylate crosslinked polymer (SC-200), polypropylsilsesquioxane/isododecane (DC680), and the like were also excellent in the effect of improving the hair volume.

[ REFERENCE EXAMPLE 1 ]:method for evaluating hair volume by using hair strands and screening of substance for increasing hair volume Establishment of the method
The shape of a human head is a gentle ellipse, and thus, the inclination formed by hairs growing in pores is various in addition to the head portion. For example, when a person stands in a standing posture, the inclination (angle) formed by the skin surface of the vertex and the hair (hair root portion) is 90 °, but the inclination formed by the skin on the side of the head or the skin on the back of the head and the hair (hair root portion) is close to 0 °. Therefore, in order to evaluate the volume of hair using a hair braid, it is necessary to consider the inclination formed by the scalp surface and the hair. The inclination of the hair must take into account the influence of the position of the hair, the point at which the inclination (bending) starts, and the length of the root up to the point at which the bending starts. In addition, the volume and weight of the whole hair inevitably affect the fluffy feeling of the hair, and therefore, these factors must be considered.
[ evaluation method of hair volume feeling 1 ]:method for evaluating hair volume in hair shaft portion close to scalp
First, a method for evaluating the hair volume in the hair shaft portion close to the scalp was established.
(1) Based on the results of test example 1, the number of hair strands in the hair braid was set to 100.
(2) As a result of confirming the appropriate point for fixing the hair strand, it is preferable that a hair part at a position of about 1cm from the hair root among hair shaft parts of the hair strand is adhered to the plate to be fixed so as to form a right angle with the ground (horizontal plane).
(3) The result of identifying an angle of inclination that minimizes the spreading effect caused by the volume and weight of the hair itself, preferably makes the hair braid form an angle of about 45 ° with the horizontal plane.
(4) When the braid forms an angle of about 45 DEG with the horizontal plane, the length (RS1) from an inner hair part of the braid, which is about 1cm from the root end part of the braid, to an inner hair part (reference point (2)) of the braid, which is located on an extension line parallel to the horizontal plane, is measured using the inner hair part as a reference point (1),
(5) measuring the length (RS2) of the hair strand from the reference point (2) to the outer hair part (reference point (3)) of the hair strand located on the extension of the reference point (2) in the vertical direction,
(6) the change in the volume of the hair in the hair shaft region of 4 to 6cm close to the hair root can be significantly confirmed by calculating the volume RS3 of the hair (RS 2/RS1) (see fig. 4).
[ evaluation method of hair volume feeling 2 ]:method for evaluating fluffy feeling of whole hair
A method for evaluating the fluffy feeling of the whole hair is established.
(1) As in the hair volume evaluation method 1, the number of hair strands in a hair braid was set to 100.
(2) The hair braid is placed on a horizontal plane so that the hair root part faces upwards.
(3) A specific hair position (point) is defined.
R0: a length of 0.5 to 1.5cm, preferably 0.8 to 1.2cm, more preferably 1cm, from the end portion of the hair root of the hair braid to the starting point of the hair stem (hair shaft portion);
r1: a point 1.8 to 2.2cm, preferably 1.9 to 2.1cm, more preferably 2cm from the R0;
r3: a point 2.5 to 3.5cm, preferably 2.8 to 3.2cm, more preferably 3cm from the R0;
m6: a point 5.5 to 6.5cm, preferably 5.8 to 6.2cm, more preferably 6cm from the R0; and
m9: a point 8.5 to 9.5cm, preferably 8.8 to 9.2cm, more preferably 9cm from the R0.
(4) To show the overall change in hair volume caused by the test substance, the following index values were calculated.
dR: subtracting the value of the diameter of the braid at the point R1 from the diameter of the braid at the point R3; and
and dM: subtracting the value of the diameter of the braid at point M6 from the diameter of the braid at point M9.
The dR and dM values significantly confirmed the change in the volume of hair between 4 to 6cm in the hair shaft region close to the hair root and the other hair regions (see FIG. 5).
Test example 2:evaluation methods 1 and 2 for Hair fluffiness feeling of the present invention Confirmation
According to the above-described evaluation methods 1 and 2 for hair volume, 6 kinds of materials (BMAS-AP, KSP-101, Styleze W-10, ADM 8301E, BELSIL PF200, and SC-200) in the test substances of Table 2 were subjected to an evaluation of the level of increase or decrease in hair volume and a sensory evaluation of the feeling of use by using hair tresses. The Hydrophobicity (hydrobicity) index used for evaluating the level of increase and decrease in the volume of hair was measured and shown by dropping distilled water (about 50 μ l) onto a hair strand subjected to treatment (and washing) of each raw material using a pipette, and measuring the time(s) required for the distilled water to be completely absorbed in units of seconds at the hair root (hair root) and the hair tip (hair tip) of the hair.
The sensory evaluation of the feel of use of the hair strands was conducted on the basis of sensory scores of professional groups (sensory score), and evaluations of roughness, residual feel, and coating feel were conducted, and the respective values were evaluated at evaluation scores of 5 points (1: roughness: 0 points-no rough feel, 5 points-very rough feel; 2:0 points-no residual feel, 5 points-strong residual feel; 3: 0 points-no coating feel, 5 points-strong coating feel).
As a result, as shown in Table 4, it was confirmed that BMAS-AP, KSP-101, Styleze W-10 and SC-200 had an appropriate effect of improving the volume feeling of hair and also had satisfactory levels of feeling in use, based on the criteria of the above-mentioned evaluation methods 1 and 2 for hair.
[ TABLE 4 ]
Figure BDA0002424581660000171
Referring to Table 4, it was confirmed that BMAS-AP, KSP-101, StylezeW-10 and SC-200 having an RS3 value of 1 or more according to evaluation method 1 had a high degree of bulkiness at hair parts of 4 to 6cm close to the hair root, and that distilled water having an RS3 value of less than 1, ADM 8301E and BELSIL PF200 had a low degree of bulkiness at hair parts of 4 to 6cm close to the hair root.
In addition, BMAS-AP, KSP-101, Styleze W-10 and SC-200 having a dR value of 10 or more according to evaluation method 2 showed a significant increase in volume in hair parts of 4 to 6cm close to the hair root, while ADM 8301E and BELSIL PF200 having a dR value of less than 10 showed a large effect of increasing volume in hair parts other than hair parts of 4 to 6cm close to the hair root. Such results also correspond to the results of table 3.
Test example 3:method for enhancing the volume of hair using shampoo composition comprising a substance for enhancing the volume of hair Evaluation of efficacy, stability and feeling of use
[ REFERENCE EXAMPLE 2 ]:determination of shampoo base composition
The candidates for shampoo bases were applied to hair for adults (sensor) of 40 to 50 years of age, and then the feeling of use was evaluated organoleptically at 9 points (evaluation score of 9 points was confirmed as "[ 1 point ] very low- [5 points ] and generally- [9 points ] very high") (data not shown).
As shown in fig. 6, shampoo base candidates showing excellent in 8 items (degree of foaming, degree of cleansing, softness at cleansing, cleanliness, softness at drying, flatness, setting, and fluffy feeling) were selected as base formulations for subsequent experiments, based on the sensory evaluation results of the average scores of 20 adults (comparative example 1). Thus, shampoo compositions containing the selected main components of the shampoo base were prepared as shown in tables 5 to 8 below.
Specifically, shampoo compositions were prepared to confirm whether each composition had the effect of improving hair volume and the effect of improving the feeling in use, wherein the shampoo composition is a shampoo composition comprising in different combinations the shampoo base and isododecane/butyl acrylate/hydroxypropyl dimethicone acrylate copolymer (BMAS-AP), vinyl dimethicone/methicone silsesquioxane crosspolymer (KSP-101), and polyquaternium-55 (PQ-55; Styleze W-10) as the hydrophobic polymer finally screened in test examples 1 and 2, and shampoo compositions comprising in different combinations said shampoo base and said hydrophobic polymer and polyquaternium-11 (PQ-11) as a non-ionic polymer.
In the test substances in tables 2 and 5 to 8, polyquaternium-11 used in the present invention was a 20% aqueous solution of a copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and quaternized dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate, which is mainly a copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and N, N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate, which is a diethyl sulfate salt.

<Evaluation of efficacy of enhancing hair voluminess of shampoo composition comprising substance for increasing hair voluminess >
The efficacy of hair tresses to enhance the hair voluminous feel was evaluated using shampoo compositions prepared from the components shown in tables 5 to 8 (refer to the evaluation methods 1 to 2 for hair voluminous feel).
As a result, as shown in tables 9 to 12, the hair volume improving effect of the strands of the shampoo compositions (examples 8 to 15) coated with the hydrophobic polymer selected from the group consisting of isododecane/butyl acrylate/hydroxypropyl polydimethylsiloxane acrylate copolymer (BMAS-AP), vinyl polydimethylsiloxane/polymethylsiloxane silsesquioxane crosspolymer (KSP-101), and polyquaternium-55 (PQ-55; Styleze W-10) was excellent.
In particular, it was confirmed that the effect of improving hair volume of hair strands applied with shampoo compositions (examples 8, 12 to 15) comprising a mixture of 3 kinds of hydrophobic polymers, i.e., a mixture comprising isododecane/butyl acrylate/hydroxypropyl polydimethylsiloxane acrylate copolymer, vinyl polydimethylsiloxane/polymethylsiloxane silsesquioxane cross-linked polymer, and polyquaternium-55 was most excellent.

Shampoo compositions prepared using the ingredients shown in tables 5 to 8 were subjected to sensory evaluation for hair tresses (evaluation score criterion of 10 points was confirmed as "[ 1 point ] very low- [5 points ] and generally- [10 points ] very high").
As shown in tables 17 to 20, when a shampoo composition (example 8) comprising a mixture of isododecane/butyl acrylate/hydroxypropyl polydimethylsiloxane acrylate copolymer, a vinyl polydimethylsiloxane/polymethylsiloxane silsesquioxane cross-linked polymer, and polyquaternium-55, which is a hydrophobic composition, and polyquaternium-11, which is a nonionic polymer, mixed at 1:1:1:4 by weight was applied to a hair braid, the best evaluation was also obtained in terms of the feeling of use (the feeling of elasticity and the feeling of tail application of the top hair on the head were improved, and the feeling of stickiness and the feeling of residue of the shampoo composition on the hair were reduced).
