Abstract

The electrical connection box is provided with a box body and a bus bar, wherein the box body is provided with: a fitting peripheral wall that is provided upright from the bus bar installation surface and has an interior formed as a mating connector fitting chamber; and a slit formed by cutting off a part of the fitting peripheral wall, the bus bar including: a bottom surface portion continuously arranged in an outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber and the mating connector fitting chamber via a slit; a mating terminal connection portion provided so as to protrude from the bottom surface portion and erected in the mating connector fitting chamber; and 2 notches provided at both ends of the bottom surface portion and engaged with both ends of the fitting peripheral wall forming the slit, wherein the connector portion is configured by the fitting peripheral wall of the case and the mating terminal connection portion of the bus bar.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to an electrical connection box having a connector structure.
Background
Japanese patent application laid-open publication No. 2011-78280 discloses a technique relating to an electrical connection box having a connector structure.
Disclosure of Invention
The existing electrical connection box includes a box body, a cover assembled to the box body, and a bus bar fixed to the box body.
In a conventional electrical connection box, for example, a box body has a unit for positioning a bus bar, and a cover has a mating connector fitting chamber surrounded by a fitting peripheral wall and a through hole provided in a bottom wall of the mating connector fitting chamber. The bus bar is fixed at a predetermined position by a positioning unit of the case, and has a mating terminal connection portion standing upward. The mating terminal connection portion is provided upright in the mating connector fitting chamber with the through hole of the cover penetrating therethrough.
Further, a connector portion into which a mating connector (not shown) is fitted is configured by a box body that positions and fixes the bus bar, a mating terminal connecting portion of the bus bar, and a fitting peripheral wall of the lid portion.
However, in the conventional electrical connection box, since the connector portion is constituted by the box body, the bus bar, and the cover, there is a problem that the number of components increases and the weight increases.
Further, since the fitting peripheral wall is provided in the cover attached to the box body, there is a problem that the height of the electrical connection box becomes high.
The invention aims to provide an electrical connection box which can reduce the number of components forming a connector part and the weight and can limit the height of a device to be low.
The electrical connection box according to the present invention includes: a box body; and a bus bar disposed in the case. The box body is provided with: a fitting peripheral wall that is provided upright from a bus bar installation surface and whose inside is formed as a mating connector fitting chamber; and a slit formed by cutting away a part of the fitting peripheral wall from an upper end toward the bus bar installation surface. The bus bar has: a bottom surface portion that is continuously arranged in an outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber and the mating connector fitting chamber via the slit; a mating terminal connection portion provided so as to protrude from the bottom surface portion and provided upright in the mating connector fitting chamber; and 2 notches provided at both ends of the bottom surface portion and engaged with both ends of the fitting peripheral wall forming the slit. The fitting peripheral wall portion of the case and the mating terminal connecting portion of the bus bar constitute a connector portion.
According to the above configuration, since the connector portion can be configured by the case and the bus bar, the number of components configuring the connector portion can be reduced, the weight can be reduced, and the height of the device can be kept low.

Detailed Description
One embodiment of the present invention is explained below.
The electrical junction box 1 according to the present embodiment will be described in detail with reference to fig. 1 to 4. The electrical connection box 1 includes: a case 2 which is a bus bar setting part; and a bus bar 10, the bus bar 10 being provided in the case 2.
The box 2 has a fitting peripheral wall 4 erected from the bus bar installation surface 3. The inside of the fitting peripheral wall 4 is formed as a mating connector fitting chamber 5. A slit 6 cut from the upper end toward the bus bar installation surface 3 is formed in a part of the fitting peripheral wall 4. The fitting peripheral wall 4 is formed in a rectangular frame shape having a slit 6 formed at the center of one side in plan view. Of the two end portions (two end portions located outside the slit 6) 4a and 4b forming the slit 6, an upper side end surface on the slit 6 side is formed as a tapered surface widening upward, but a side end surface located below the tapered surface is formed as a vertical surface up to the bus bar installation surface 3.
In the housing 2, a coupling hole 7 is formed in a portion of the outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber 5.
The bus bar 10 is formed by press-forming a conductive metal plate having a predetermined shape and bending the conductive metal plate in a predetermined direction. The bus bar 10 has: a bottom surface portion 11; and a sheet-like counterpart terminal connecting portion 12. The bottom surface portion 11 is provided continuously in the mating connector fitting chamber 5 and the outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber 5 via the slit 6. At both ends of the bottom surface portion 11 in the width direction W (as shown in fig. 3 and 4), 2 (a pair of) notch portions 13 are provided at positions corresponding to the slits 6 in the installed state of the case 2.
The bottom surface portion 11 is a plane. The bottom surface 11 is provided in a state of almost surface contact with the bus bar installation surface 3 of the case 2. In the bottom portion 11, a width D1 of a portion disposed in the mating connector fitting chamber 5 and a width D2 of a portion disposed in an outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber 5 are formed to be wider than a width D3 of a portion disposed in the slit 6 (see fig. 1(a) and 3). In the bottom surface portion 11, the width D3 between 2 cutout portions 13, which are the portions disposed in the slit 6, is formed to be the same as the slit 6. Each notch 13 is formed in a rectangular groove shape, and engages with both end portions 4a and 4b of the fitting peripheral wall 4 forming the slit 6 without a gap. The bus bar 10 is two-dimensionally positioned with respect to the surface of the bus bar installation surface 3 of the case 2 by the 2 cutout portions 13.
Specifically, as shown in fig. 4, each cutout portion 13 includes: 2 opposing end surfaces 13a, 13b along the width direction W of the bus bar 10; and 1 end face 13c orthogonal to the width direction W of the bus bar 10, and since the 2 end faces 13a, 13b of the 2 notched portions 13 of the bus bar 10 are positioned with respect to the X direction of fig. 4 and the end face 13c of the 2 notched portions 13 of the bus bar 10 is positioned with respect to the Y direction of fig. 4, the bus bar 10 is positioned two-dimensionally (including the rotational direction) with respect to the case 2.
In the bottom surface portion 11, a connection hole 14 as a fixing portion is formed at a portion disposed in an area outside the mating connector fitting chamber 5. The connection hole 14 of the bus bar 10 placed in the housing 2 in a positioned state coincides with the connection hole 7 of the housing 2. The bus bar 10 is fixed to the case 2 and the bus bar 10 is electrically connected to the electrical connection terminal (not shown) by fastening the electrical connection terminal (not shown) together with a bolt (not shown) and a screw (not shown) through both the connection holes 7 and 14. Both the connecting holes 7 and 14 may be used only for fixing the bus bar 10 to the case 2.
The mating terminal connecting portion 12 is provided upright in the mating connector fitting chamber 5 surrounded by the fitting peripheral wall 4. The connector portion a is constituted by the fitting peripheral wall 4 of the case 2 and the mating terminal connection portion 12 of the bus bar 10.
Next, a procedure of assembling the bus bar 10 to the case 2 will be described. The bus bar 10 is inserted (dropped) from above the box 2 toward the bus bar installation surface 3 with the 2 notches 13 of the bus bar 10 aligned with the slit 6 of the fitting peripheral wall 4 of the box 2. Then, the both end portions 4a and 4b of the fitting peripheral wall 4 forming the slit 6 enter the 2 notches 13 of the bus bar 10, and the both end portions 4a and 4b of the fitting peripheral wall 4 are inserted (dropped) as guide portions, whereby the bus bar 10 is set on the bus bar installation surface 3 of the box body 2. Thereby, the mating terminal connecting portion 12 of the bus bar 10 is erected in the mating connector fitting chamber 5 in the fitting peripheral wall 4, and the bus bar 10 is positioned at an appropriate position of the box body 2 by 2 notched portions 13. Subsequently, a bolt (not shown) is passed through the connecting holes 14 and 7 of both the bus bar 10 and the case 2 and the electrical connection portion terminal (not shown), and the bolt (not shown) is connected to a nut (not shown).
As described above, the electrical connection box 1 includes: a case 2 and a bus bar 10 provided in the case 2, the case 2 having: a fitting peripheral wall 4 that is provided upright from the bus bar installation surface 3 of the box 2 and has an interior formed as a mating connector fitting chamber 5; and a slit 6 formed by cutting a part of the fitting peripheral wall 4 from an upper end toward the bus bar installation surface 3, wherein the bus bar 10 includes: a bottom surface portion 11 provided continuously in the mating connector fitting chamber 5 and an outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber 5 through the slit 6; a mating terminal connecting portion 12, the mating terminal connecting portion 12 protruding from the bottom surface portion 11 and standing upright in the mating connector fitting chamber 5; and 2 notches 13, the 2 notches 13 being provided at both ends of the bottom surface portion 11 and engaging with both ends 4a, 4b of the fitting peripheral wall 4 forming the slit 6, wherein the connector portion a is constituted by the fitting peripheral wall 4 of the case 2 and the mating terminal connection portion 12 of the bus bar 10.
Therefore, since the connector portion a is configured by the case 2 and the bus bar 10, it is possible to reduce the number of components constituting the connector portion a and to reduce the weight, and it is possible to reduce the height of the electrical connection box 1. Further, since the bus bar 10 can be visually set in alignment with the slit 6 of the case 2, the setting work is easy. Further, since it is not necessary to provide the cover with a portion constituting the connector portion, there is an effect that the cover is simplified and the degree of freedom in design of the cover is improved.
In the bottom surface portion 11 of the bus bar 10, the width D1 of the portion disposed in the mating connector fitting chamber 5 and the width D2 of the portion disposed in the outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber 5 are formed to be wider than the width of the slit (corresponding to D3), and the width D2 of the portion disposed in the outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber 5 is formed to be wider than the width D1 of the portion disposed in the mating connector fitting chamber 5. The heat dissipation performance at the portion disposed in the mating connector fitting chamber 5 is limited by the size of the fitting peripheral wall 4, and the like, but the heat dissipation performance required for the bus bar 10 can be secured at the portion disposed in the region outside the mating connector fitting chamber 5.
The fitting peripheral wall 4 has a rectangular frame shape in plan view, a slit 6 is formed at the center of one side of the rectangle, and the end surfaces of the respective cutout portions 13 abut against the entire width W2 (shown in fig. 1 a) of the two end portions forming the slit 6. That is, the width D2 of the portion of the bottom surface 11 of the bus bar 10 disposed in the outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber 5 is set to be equal to or greater than the width D4 (shown in fig. 1 a), and the width D4 allows the end surfaces of the respective notched portions 13 to abut against the entire width W2 of the two end portions forming the slit 6. Therefore, the entire width W2 of the both end portions 4a and 4b forming the slit 6 becomes a positioning surface (rotation stop surface) of the bus bar 10, and the bus bar 10 is positioned at the both end portions 4a and 4b of the one side of the fitting peripheral wall 4, in other words, at the bilaterally symmetrical position, so that the positioning can be performed with high accuracy and reliability, and the rotation can be stopped.
The bottom surface 11 of the bus bar 10 has a connecting hole 14, and the connecting hole 14 is 1 fixing portion fixed to the case 2. Therefore, the bus bar 10 can be fixed to the case 2. The number of the fixing portions of the bus bar 10 may be at least 1, but may be plural. The fixing portion of the bus bar 10 may be a fastening hole 14 for a bolt or a press-in hole into which a boss is press-fitted. The fixing portion of the bus bar 10 may be any unit as long as the bus bar 10 can be fixed to the case 2.
In the above embodiment, there is disclosed a connector structure including: a case 2, the case 2 being a bus bar setting part; and a bus bar 10 provided in the case 2, the case 2 having: a fitting peripheral wall 4 that is provided upright from the bus bar installation surface 3 of the box 2 and has an interior formed as a mating connector fitting chamber 5; and a slit 6 formed by cutting away a part of the fitting peripheral wall 4 from an upper end toward the bus bar installation surface 3, the bus bar 10 including: a bottom surface portion 11, the bottom surface portion 11 being continuously disposed in the mating connector fitting chamber 5 and an outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber 5 via the slit 6; a mating terminal connecting portion 12, the mating terminal connecting portion 12 protruding from the bottom surface portion 11 and standing upright in the mating connector fitting chamber 5; and 2 notches 13, the 2 notches 13 being provided at both ends of the bottom surface portion 11 and engaging with both end portions 4a, 4b of the fitting peripheral wall 4 forming the slit 6. Although the above-described embodiment shows an example in which the connector structure is applied to the electrical junction box 1, the connector structure can be applied to other than the electrical junction box 1.

These new embodiments can be implemented in other various ways, and various omissions, substitutions, and changes can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. 1. An electrical connection box, characterized in that,
the electrical connection box includes: a box body; and a bus bar provided in the case,
the box body is provided with: a fitting peripheral wall that is provided upright from a bus bar installation surface and whose interior is formed as a mating connector fitting chamber; and a slit formed by cutting away a part of the fitting peripheral wall from an upper end toward the bus bar installation surface,
the bus bar has: a bottom surface portion that is continuously arranged in an outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber and the mating connector fitting chamber via the slit; a mating terminal connection portion that is provided so as to protrude from the bottom surface portion and is provided upright in the mating connector fitting chamber; and 2 notches provided at both ends of the bottom surface portion and engaged with both ends of the fitting peripheral wall forming the slit,
the fitting peripheral wall of the case and the mating terminal connection portion of the bus bar constitute a connector portion.
2. The electrical connection box of claim 1,
in the bottom surface portion of the bus bar, a width of a portion arranged in the mating connector fitting chamber and a width of a portion arranged in an outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber are formed to be wider than a width of the slit, and a width of a portion arranged in an outer region of the mating connector fitting chamber is formed to be wider than a width of a portion arranged in the mating connector fitting chamber.
3. The electrical connection box of claim 1 or 2,
the fitting peripheral wall has a quadrangular frame shape in plan view, the slit is formed at a central position of one side of the quadrangle, and end surfaces of the respective cutout portions abut against the entire width of both end portions forming the slit.
