Description

Rotary fitting for a covered device on a window or door
Technical Field
The invention relates to a pivot fitting for a window or door.
Background
The covered pivot fitting is inserted in the frame, on the one hand, and in the profile of the adjacent door leaf or window leaf, on the other hand, in such a way that it enables the opening and closing of the door or window, without the parts of the pivot fitting being visually present on the respective outer or visible surface of the door or window. Furthermore, increased burglary protection is ensured by such a pivot fitting, since the pivot fitting or the hinge is inaccessible when the window is closed or the door is closed. Furthermore, if adjustment possibilities are to be provided, the rotary fittings are often of complex design, in particular in terms of construction, and are therefore complex to produce and also difficult to handle.
DE4137050a1 discloses a pivot fitting for a door, in which the frame and the door frame connected to the frame by means of hinge elements are configured as box-shaped profiles. The known swivel fitting has a hook-shaped hinge bracket, the legs of which are fastened to the door frame profile to be pivoted by means of separate retaining parts to be positioned in the interior of the profile. In order to be able to fasten the holding part, the holding part which is necessary for screwing the hinge bracket leg is provided with a bolt which has to be inserted from the interior space of the door frame profile through the profile wall and into a corresponding hole of the hinge bracket leg. The other end of the hinge bracket terminates in a holding portion in which the relevant end of the hinge foot can be pivotally supported by means of a bearing pin. The holder is arranged inside the edge frame profile such that the axis of rotation of the hinge bracket extends inside the edge frame profile and substantially parallel to the axis of the edge frame profile. The mounting and fastening of the holder with the bearing pin for the hinge bracket is effected from the side of the frame profile which is remote from the door frame when the door is closed.
The solution known from DE4137050a1 has the disadvantage that, in terms of the design of the swivel fitting element, there is no adjustment option for the door frame and thus the door leaf after the installation to the frame. Although the accuracy in the production of the parts of the door is high, such an adjustment is still necessary, in particular in the case of large doors with relatively heavy door leaves, in order to be able to achieve an exact fit of the door leaf in the three-sided surrounding frame profile.
DE29904129U1 discloses a covered pivot fitting for connecting a frame of a door or window leaf made of box or solid profiles to an associated frame made of box or solid profiles. The holding part for the hook-shaped hinge bracket is arranged within the profile cross section of the frame or leaf, said holding part having a bearing pin which fixes one end of the hinge bracket within the holding part in such a way that the axis of rotation of the hinge bracket extends within the profile and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profile. Fastening means are provided at the end of the hinge bracket remote from the axis of rotation, by means of which the hinge bracket is adjustably held relative to the frame or the door or window leaf is adjustably held relative to the hinge bracket.
A disadvantage of such an adjusting device is that the adjusting device must be removed for adjusting the fan and screwed down again after the adjustment. Although the adjustment of such a rotary fitting can be carried out by means of manipulation, the production, assembly and handling for the adjustment also proves to be costly and expensive.
Furthermore, EP 1617025 a2 discloses a hinge for a vertical hinged door, in which the two hinge parts can be pivoted about a common hinge axis. At least one of the hinge parts has a projection which can be moved into a hinge box in the door frame, can be pivoted in the hinge pocket about an axis which runs parallel to the hinge axis, and can be adjusted in its pivot position and height position. The projections engage in the box-shaped bearing element and are supported with their upper and lower ends in a guided manner on the upper and lower inner boundary surfaces of the bearing element. Furthermore, lateral adjustment means are provided between the projection and the support element, which cause an adjustment of the projection transversely to the hinge axis, and the bearing element is provided with height adjustment means, which cause a height adjustment thereof. The end region of the projection, which is embedded in the bearing element, is operatively connected to two boundary surfaces of the bearing element, which are arranged parallel to one another, by means of a bearing part, which extends parallel to the hinge axis and has a surface with an arched cross section, wherein the projection has an adjusting screw for pivoting and fixing the projection within the bearing element.
In order to comply with the standards for the use of pivot fittings with adjusting mechanisms even when the fan is heavy and high, a stable and compact structural unit of the hinge is required.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is therefore to improve a pivot fitting for windows or doors of the type mentioned at the outset, which is simple and inexpensive to produce, so that it can be mounted simply and precisely and can be adjusted subsequently precisely relative to the frame, and to provide a pivot fitting with an adjusting device which avoids the disadvantages mentioned in the prior art.
The object is achieved in that the hinge bracket comprises an integrally formed thickened portion on the end of the hinge bracket remote from the axis of rotation, which thickened portion is adapted to the wall of the hinge part forming the receptacle and faces the end of the receptacle, wherein a section of the hinge bracket up to the thickened portion, which is embodied as plate-like, is spaced apart from the wall, and wherein the hinge bracket has an adjusting mechanism with which the hinge bracket is held rotatable on the frame in the receptacle about its axis of rotation by the thickened portion on the leaf.
The advantage of the invention is, in particular, that when using the pivot fitting according to the invention for a door leaf or window leaf held in a frame, the adjustment possibilities provided on the pivot fitting for the fine adjustment of the pivotable leaf can be significantly simplified and can also be adjusted precisely in the case of longer use. For this purpose, adjusting means are provided between the end of the hinge bracket close to the axis of rotation and the end of the hinge bracket remote from the axis of rotation, by means of which adjusting means the leaf profile and thus the door leaf are held adjustable relative to the frame.
All adjusting means, including the adjusting mechanism and the adjustable section of the hinge bracket, are in operative relationship with the hinge part and together function in such a way that the elastic seal or sealing lip which is usually present between the profile of the sash and the profile of the frame can satisfy the conventional function of said seal or sealing lip, i.e. sealing the remaining gap when the sash is closed, particularly very effectively.
The adjustment by the adjustment mechanism is therefore advantageously associated essentially with the hinge bracket and the hinge part fastened to the sash. The pivot fitting with the pivot joint as a hinge support can be designed in a very simple construction and can be oriented in a simple, stable and cost-effective manner in the direction of pressing the window or door or leaf against the frame.
In order to achieve an adjustment, in particular a pressing adjustment, of the window or door, the leaf can be displaced by means of the adjustment mechanism almost perpendicularly to the frame wall of the frame. Since usually at least two rotary fittings are required for the stop against the frame and the door or window leaf, an undesired tilt position of the leaf can also be corrected by means of an adjusting mechanism, wherein the adjusting means of the two rotary fittings are adjusted differently.
The special holding, high forces to be absorbed and the adjustability of the fan for the purpose, which is provided by the adjusting mechanism, relative to the frame are achieved in that the hinge bracket is connected at its free end to the thickened portion in a manner engaging with the material of the thickened portion and the thickened portion has a pin-like structure perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The construction variant also proves to be inexpensive in production.
In this case, a simple measure provides that the slot-like receptacle comprises a hollow space which increases in width of the wall in a penetrating manner for receiving the thickening, wherein the receptacle forms a sliding fit with the thickening. For assembly, the thickened portion arranged on the side of the hinge bracket remote from the axis of rotation is therefore simply pushed in guided from the open side of the hollow chamber of the hinge part and adjusted by the adjusting mechanism of the rotary fitting in such a way that the section rests against the wall in a limited manner.
The adjusting mechanism is constructed as a one-piece component together with the hinge carrier as a preassembled unit, wherein the adjusting mechanism can be fitted into the hinge part in a manner accommodated in the recess of the hinge carrier. The adjusting mechanism advantageously comprises a bearing part which is fastened in a force-fitting manner on the hinge carrier, an adjusting cam and a threaded pin. For simplicity, the hinge bracket and the bearing part are fastened against one another by riveting, wherein a recess acting as a guide for an adjustment cam is thereby formed in the assembled state, said adjustment cam protruding with a flange of the free end of the adjustment cam from a rotatable bearing designed for a threaded pin.
The adjusting cam preferably projects with a projection arranged on the free end with a hinge support into a receptacle of the hinge part on the leaf, wherein the projection and the receptacle preferably form a sliding mating surface. By means of the engagement of the elevations with the receptacles (which is almost identical to the engagement of the thickened portions of the hinge support with the receptacles in the hinge part), disruptive, functionally uncontrolled movements are advantageously eliminated in the engagement on the face of the pivot fitting in the window or door.
According to a preferred embodiment, which proves to be space-saving, for adjusting the adjusting mechanism, the threaded pin in the hinge bracket and the recess forming the bearing part are guided in cooperation rotatably by means of a threaded drive. The threaded pin has a tool action for adjustment, preferably a socket head cap screw for a socket head cap wrench, which is accessible from a hole in the hinge bracket. The adjustment of the pivot fitting can be carried out in a pivoted open position of the fan relative to the frame, based on the freely accessible position of the adjusting mechanism.
In order to be able to carry out simple adjustment movements, it is proposed that the adjustment cam moves perpendicular or almost perpendicular to the frame wall as the threaded bolt is freely accessible outside the frame and the leaf, wherein the hinge support rotates about its axis of rotation on the frame and with the circular contour of the thickening against the receptacle.
In order to obtain a defined limitation of the adjustability of the pressure leaf relative to the frame with simple production and low-cost means, the receptacle and the section of the hinge support formed between the thickening of the hinge support and the bulge of the adjustment cam come to bear with the section against the wall to define the adjustment range of the rotary joint.
In order to achieve a simple design and a technically low-cost embodiment of the rotary part, it is provided that the component is produced at least from a diecast material produced in a diecasting process or from a plastic material molded in an injection molding process.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 to 7 show an arrangement of a pivot fitting 1 with two hinge parts 3 and 5, which are connected in a pivotable manner about a common pivot axis 11 by means of a pivot joint 7 or a hinge bracket 8. In these views, the profile of the frame 4 and of the leaf 6 for the window or door 2 is designed as a metal hollow profile. However, the invention can also be used in hollow plastic profiles or in wood profiles or in profiles of material combinations. In the following description, reference is made to a pivot fitting 1, which can be used in windows, doors 2 or in the same way in large doors and, if appropriate, also in furniture structures.
Fig. 1 to 2 show the pivot fitting 1 in a top view in the assembled state of the window or door 2. Fig. 1 shows a top view in a sectional view in a position in which the door leaf or window sash 6 is closed relative to the frame 4. Fig. 2 shows a corresponding plan view in the closed position of the door leaf or sash 6 relative to the frame 4, which shows the rotary fitting 1 completely outside the object.
Thus, according to fig. 1 to 4, a rotary fitting having a first hinge part 3 for fastening to the leaf 6 and a second hinge part 5 for fastening to the frame 4 is arranged on the door or window 2 in a covering manner, wherein a hinge bracket 8 is provided for forming a hinge-like pivotable connection of the rotary joint 7. According to fig. 1, the hinge mount 8 has, at the end 9 of the frame 4, receiving openings 12, 13 for a bearing pin 10 which runs through, which openings form a pivot axis 11, together with the hinge part 5 fastened to the frame 4. The other end 14 of the hinge bracket 8, which is directed toward the leaf 6, engages in an operatively connected manner into a receptacle 15, which is rectangular in cross section, of the hinge part 3 fastened to the leaf 6.
According to fig. 1 and 3 to 7, the hinge bracket 8 comprises, at its end 14 remote from the axis of rotation 11, an integrally formed thickening 16 which is adapted to the wall portions 17, 18 of the hinge part 3 of fig. 1 forming the receptacle 15 and faces the embedded end 19 of the receptacle 15. According to fig. 1, the hinge bracket 8 is designed as a plate-like section 20 in the region of the wall sections 17, 18 up to the thickening 16. The distance between the walls 17, 18 and the section 20 results from a residual gap, which is caused by the difference between the diameter of the thickening 16 and the thickness of the section 20. Furthermore, according to fig. 1 and 3 to 7, an adjusting mechanism 21 is provided on the hinge carrier 8, with which the hinge carrier 8 is held in the receptacle 15 of fig. 1 so as to be rotatable about the axis of rotation 11 by the thickening 16.
According to fig. 1, a part of the adjusting mechanism 21 projects with the section 20 of the hinge bracket 8 into the receptacle 15 of the hinge part 3. The door leaf or window sash 6 held in the frame 4 is thus adjusted precisely by the rotary fitting 1 inside the receptacle 15 of the hinge part. Furthermore, an exact fit of the pivotable fan 6 occurs. For this purpose, adjusting means are provided between the end 9 of the hinge support 8 close to the axis of rotation and the end 14 of the hinge support 8 remote from the axis of rotation of fig. 1, by means of which adjusting means the leaf profile and thus the door leaf 6 are held adjustable relative to the frame 4.
All the adjusting means of fig. 1, including the adjusting mechanism 21 and the adjustable portion 20 of the hinge support 8, are in operative connection with the hinge part 3 and together function in such a way that, according to fig. 1 and 2, the elastic seal or sealing lip which is often present between the profile of the leaf 6 and the profile of the frame 4 can satisfy the conventional function of said seal or sealing lip, in particular, to seal off residual gaps when closing the leaf 6.
The adjustability of the fan 6 relative to the frame 4 is thus achieved by the effective connection of the adjusting mechanism 21 to the hinge bracket 8 and the hinge part 3 fastened to the frame 4 of fig. 1. The pivot fitting 1 with the pivot joint 7 as the hinge bracket 8 can be constructed in a comparatively simple construction and can be oriented in a simple, stable and cost-effective manner in the direction of pressing the adjusting window or door 2 or leaf 6 against the frame 4. Fig. 3 to 5 show three adjustment settings of the rotary joint 7, wherein the setting shown in fig. 5 corresponds to a first end position for the adjustability in the assembled state of the rotary fitting 1 from fig. 1. As is evident from fig. 1, the section 20 of the hinge bracket 8 rests against the wall 17 in the receptacle 15, wherein the hinge bracket 8 is positioned in the receptacle 15 with the section 20 relative to the wall 17, 18 in such a way that it is rotated at an angle about the axis of rotation 22 of the thickening 16. Fig. 3 presents a second end position for the adjustability of the fan 6 with respect to the frame 4. Although not shown, it should be noted that in this case the section 20 of the hinge bracket 8 bears in the receptacle 15 against the wall 18 in an angular manner about the axis of rotation 22 of the thickening 16. Fig. 4 shows an intermediate position of the adjusting mechanism, according to which the adjustment can be made in both directions.
Not shown here is that the section 20 of the hinge bracket 8 is located in a position parallel to the wall portions 17, 18 and spaced from them at the same distance without contact.
The adjustment, in particular the pressing adjustment, of the window or door 2 is effected by displacing the leaf 6 by means of the adjusting mechanism 21 in the direction of the arrow in fig. 2 almost perpendicularly to the frame wall 23 of the frame 4. Since at least two rotary fittings 1 are usually required for the purpose of bearing against the frame 4 and the door or window leaf 6, an undesired tilting position, not shown, of the leaf 6 can also be corrected by the adjusting mechanism 21, wherein the adjusting means of the two rotary fittings 1 are adjusted differently.
In order to absorb the high forces of the fan 6 and of the frame 4 and to achieve an adjustable guidance of the fan 6 for the purpose, which guidance is suitable for the purpose, relative to the frame 4 via the adjusting mechanism 21, the hinge bracket 8 is connected at its free end 14 to the thickening 16 in a material-to-material manner, wherein, according to fig. 6 and 7, the thickening 16 has a pin-like appearance perpendicular to the axis of rotation 22 at the level of the section 20 of the hinge bracket 8.
According to fig. 1, a simple constructive measure provides that the slot-shaped receptacle 15 comprises a hollow space 24 which increases continuously over the width of the wall sections 17, 18 for receiving the thickened section 16, wherein the receptacle 15 forms a sliding fit with the thickened section 16. For assembly, the thickened portion 16 arranged on the side of the hinge mount 8 remote from the axis of rotation 11 is therefore simply pushed in guided from the open side of the hollow chamber 24 of the hinge part 3 and adjusted by the adjusting mechanism 21 of the rotary fitting 1 in such a way that the section 20 rests against the wall portions 17, 18 in a limited manner.
As can be seen from the views in fig. 3 to 5, the adjusting mechanism 21 together with the hinge carrier 8 form a one-piece component as a preassembled unit. Thus, the adjustment mechanism 21 can be easily accommodated in the recess 25 of the hinge bracket 8 and embedded in the hinge part 3 of fig. 1. According to fig. 3 to 5, the adjusting mechanism 21 comprises a bearing part 26 which is secured on the hinge bracket 8 in a force-fitting manner, an adjusting cam 27 and a threaded pin 28. For simplicity, the hinge mount 8 and the bearing part 26 are fastened against one another by riveting, wherein a recess acting as a guide for an adjustment cam 27 is thereby formed in the assembled state, said adjustment cam protruding with its bulge 30 arranged on the free end 29 from a rotatable bearing configured for a threaded pin 28. For adjusting the adjustment cam 27 relative to the threaded pin 28, the adjustment cam 27 is threaded.
As can also be seen from fig. 1, the adjusting cam 27 projects in the assembled state with a bulge 30 arranged on the free end 29 into the receptacle 15 of the hinge part 3 with the hinge bracket 8, wherein the bulge 30 and the receptacle 15 preferably form a sliding engagement surface. By means of the engagement of the bulge 30 with the receptacle 15, which is almost identical to the engagement of the thickening 16 of the hinge support with the receptacle in the hinge part 3, disruptive, functionally uncontrolled movements are advantageously eliminated in the engagement on the face of the pivot fitting 1 in the window or door 2. In this case, a first side of the bulge 30 is arranged in a friction-reducing, linearly abutting manner to the wall 18 and the other, second side is directed by the adjusting cam 27 for stable holding in a manner of abutting in a pressure-building manner to the wall 17 in a certain range or linearly depending on the position.
According to fig. 1 and 3 to 5, for adjusting the adjusting mechanism 21, a threaded pin 28 in the hinge bracket 8 and a recess 25 forming the bearing part 26 are guided in a cooperating manner rotatably by means of a screw drive. According to fig. 3 to 5, the threaded pin 28 has a tool action 31 for adjustment, preferably a socket head cap screw for a socket head cap wrench, which is accessible from a hole 32 in the hinge bracket 8. The adjustment of the rotary fitting 1 can be carried out in a position not shown in the open position of the rotation of the fan 6 relative to the frame 4, based on the freely accessible position of the adjusting mechanism 21.
In order to be able to carry out a simple adjustable movement of the leaf 6 relative to the frame 4 by means of the adjusting mechanism 21, the adjusting cam 27 is moved perpendicular or at least almost perpendicular to the frame wall 23 and transversely to the hollow space 24 towards the wall 17, 18 when the threaded pin 28 is freely accessible outside the frame 4 and the leaf 6, wherein the hinge support 8 is rotated about the axis of rotation 11 of the thickening 16 and with the circular contour of the thickening 16 against the receptacle 15.
In order to achieve a coordinated limitation of the adjustability of the pressure leaf 6 relative to the frame 4 with simple production and low-cost means, the receptacle 15 and the section 20 of the hinge support 8 formed between the thickened portion 16 of the hinge support 8 and the bulge 30 of the adjustment cam 27 come to bear with the section 20 against the wall portions 17, 18 to define the adjustment range of the rotary joint 7 of fig. 1.
