Example 7:
in real life, we have found that patients with severe liver disease often have symptoms of disengageable axillary hair, pubic hair and chest hair, diffuse hair loss, and hair malnutrition. Patients with chronic nephropathy have dry hair, easy breakage, and diffuse alopecia. According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, common alopecia in daily life, including alopecia areata and male pattern alopecia (namely seborrheic alopecia), is closely related to liver, kidney and spleen. Kidneys mainly promote hair growth, and kidney essence is sufficient, so that hair is thick and glossy, otherwise, hair loss is easy. The hair is the rest of blood, and the liver stores blood, stagnation of liver qi or stagnation of liver qi transforming into fire can consume yin and blood, so that the hair is lack of nutrition and the hair is alopecia.
It is known in the prior art that the application of carbon tetrachloride can cause the liver and kidney injury of experimental rats, and further affect the hair of experimental animals. Therefore, we applied this model to examine the protective effect of the active extract of the Chinese herbal medicine on hair damage of experimental animals. An animal model of liver cirrhosis, renal injury and fibrosis was induced by intraperitoneal injection of Wistar mice (160-180g) with carbon tetrachloride dissolved in vegetable oil to a concentration of 50% and 3 ml/kg body weight/time. The intraperitoneal injection frequency of carbon tetrachloride is twice per week, and the total injection time is 15 weeks. Each animal was given 1 ml of 30% ethanol intravenously 5 times a week for 4 weeks on a day without carbon tetrachloride injection. After 9 weeks of carbon tetrachloride injection, experimental animals were randomized into treatment with the traditional Chinese medicine composition (n = 15), and control (n = 15). Starting at week 10, the herbal active extract (450 mg/kg/day) obtained in example 2 was administered to the experimental animals of the herbal composition treatment group by gavage for 12 weeks. The control group of experimental animals was gavaged with the same volume of water for the same 12 weeks. During the experiment, especially until the last four weeks of the experiment, it was found that the control group of experimental animals underwent progressive and progressive depilation as shown in fig. 8. In contrast, the hair of the animal group treated with the Chinese medicinal composition exhibited nearly normal, and little depilation was observed, as shown in FIG. 9.
