The invention is a method for dyeing cloth or fabric by using laser, preparing a laser oscillator; debugging the laser oscillator to focus; preparing a cloth or fabric to be dyed; preparing a dyeing liquid containing a colorant; immersing the cloth or fabric in a dyeing solution for a period of time; turning on a laser oscillator, and placing the cloth or fabric in a laser oscillator light spot projection area; and the light spots irradiate on the cloth or the fabric to obtain a preset pattern. The invention has the advantages that the fabric dyed by the paint is subjected to laser radiation treatment; the fixation and crosslinking effect of the adhesive is enhanced due to the action of the laser radiation on the adhesive, the fixation effect is obvious, and a clear pattern effect is generated. The dyeing method is simple to operate, and the size of the laser output can be controlled through the size of the sound, and in the mode, the generated patterns are unique, so that the dyeing method is particularly suitable for the requirement characteristics of small-batch and multiple varieties in the modern society; and the production cost is lower.
