Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present invention clearer, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present invention, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.
First, the noun terms to which the present invention relates are explained.
Modeline: the configuration lines in the configuration file, information for driving the computer display at a specified display resolution, include pixel clock frequency, resolution, and related parameters.
In a first aspect, the present invention provides a resolution adjustment method, and referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 shows a schematic flow chart of a resolution adjustment method according to an embodiment of the present application, the method includes the following steps:
step S101: a target resolution of the display is determined.
And taking the resolution provided by the required display as a target resolution according to the resolution provided by the required display. The target resolution is initially a particular resolution not supported by the display.
Step S102: according to the target resolution of the display, determining initial driving information corresponding to the target resolution, wherein the initial driving information is information for driving the display under the target resolution, and the initial driving information comprises an initial pixel clock frequency.
The initial driving information is a Modeline corresponding to the target resolution, and includes parameters such as an initial pixel clock frequency. Specifically, the corresponding Modeline can be calculated according to the target resolution by using the existing open source software. Existing open source software such as umc (universal model calculator).
Step S103: and acquiring a reference pixel clock frequency set executable by the display, wherein the reference pixel clock frequency set comprises at least two pixel clock frequencies executable by the display.
Displays provided by vendors are generally capable of supporting multiple pixel resolutions, i.e., displays capable of performing multiple pixel clock frequencies (pixels per second).
Step S104: and in the reference pixel clock frequency group, determining the pixel clock frequency closest to the initial pixel clock frequency, and taking the closest pixel clock frequency as the reference pixel clock frequency.
Specifically, the pixel clock frequency executable by the display is subtracted from the initial pixel clock frequency, and a difference value corresponding to the pixel clock frequency executable by the display is obtained; and determining the difference value with the minimum absolute value, and taking the pixel clock frequency which can be executed by the display and corresponds to the difference value with the minimum absolute value as the reference pixel clock frequency.
Step S105: and adjusting the initial driving information according to the reference pixel clock frequency to enable the adjusted pixel clock frequency to be the same as the reference pixel clock frequency, and taking the adjusted driving information as final driving information.
By adjusting the pixel clock frequency in the initial driving information, the difference value between the pixel clock frequency in the adjusted initial driving information and the reference pixel clock frequency is the same, so that the display can display the image corresponding to the target resolution on a full screen while supporting the target resolution.
Step S106: and writing the final driving information into a registry so that the display displays the image corresponding to the target resolution on a full screen.
After the final drive information is written into the registry, the target resolution option is available to the display by restarting the host connected to the display, even if the display supports the target resolution.
In the invention, under the condition that the target resolution is not supported by the display, the method can support the target resolution according to the adjusted driving information by adjusting the initial driving information corresponding to the target resolution and writing the adjusted driving information into the registry of the corresponding display, namely, the display can provide the option corresponding to the target resolution and can display the image corresponding to the target resolution on the full screen.
In a second aspect, the present invention provides a resolution adjustment method, and referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 shows a schematic flow chart of a resolution adjustment method according to an embodiment of the present application, the method includes the following steps:
step S201: a target resolution of the display is determined.
Step S202: according to the target resolution of the display, determining initial driving information corresponding to the target resolution, wherein the initial driving information is information for driving the display under the target resolution, and the initial driving information comprises an initial pixel clock frequency.
Step S203: and acquiring a reference pixel clock frequency set executable by the display, wherein the reference pixel clock frequency set comprises at least two pixel clock frequencies executable by the display.
Step S204: and in the reference pixel clock frequency group, determining the pixel clock frequency closest to the initial pixel clock frequency, and taking the closest pixel clock frequency as the reference pixel clock frequency.
Step S205: and adjusting the line sum time in the initial driving information according to the reference pixel clock frequency so that the adjusted line sum time and the line sum time corresponding to the reference pixel clock frequency are within an allowable error range, and taking the adjusted driving information as final driving information.
By adjusting the line sum time in the initial driving information, the pixel clock frequency corresponding to the adjusted target resolution is the same as the reference pixel clock frequency, so that the black screen phenomenon can be avoided under the condition that the display displays at the target resolution. The specific error range is determined by the parameters set by the manufacturer on the display.
Step S206: and writing the final driving information into a registry so that the display displays the image corresponding to the target resolution on a full screen.
In the invention, under the condition that the target resolution is not supported by the display, the pixel clock frequency corresponding to the target resolution is adjusted to be the same as the reference pixel clock frequency by adjusting the line sum time in the initial driving information, namely under the condition that the adjusted line sum time in the initial driving information is close to the line sum time corresponding to the reference pixel clock frequency, the display can support the target resolution and simultaneously can display the image corresponding to the target resolution on the display in a full screen mode.
In an optional embodiment, the initial driving information further includes: row sum time, refresh rate, and field sum time. Specifically, the line total Time is a line scanning Time (Hor scan Time); the field sum Time is the field scan Time (Ver scan Time). Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 illustrates a row timing diagram of a VGA (Video Graphics Array) according to an embodiment of the present application. Wherein the row sum (Htotal, Hor total, Horizontal total) includes: line synchronization (Hor Sync), line blanking (Hor Back Porch), line Video Active (Hor Active Video), and line Front shoulder (Hor Front Porch); the field sum (Vtotal, Vertical total) includes: vertical Sync (Ver Sync), Vertical Back Port (Ver Back Port), Vertical Video Active (Ver Active Video), and Vertical Front shoulder (Ver Front Port).
In an alternative embodiment, the line sum time is the sum of the line synchronization time, the line blanking time, the line video active time, and the line shoulder time; the field sum time is the sum of the field sync time, the field blanking time, the field video active time, and the field shoulder time.
The adjusting the initial driving information includes: adjusting the initial pixel clock frequency by adjusting the row sum time, refresh rate, and field sum time.
pixel clock=Htotal×Vtotal×R (1)

Wherein, pixel clock is the pixel clock frequency; htotal is the row sum time; vtotal is the field sum time; r is the refresh rate of the display, i.e. the number of times the electron beam repeatedly scans the image on the screen. According to formula (1): the corresponding pixel clock frequency can be changed by changing the row sum time, the refresh rate, and the field sum time. However, considering that in practice the refresh rate of the display is generally a default fixed value, and modifying the refresh rate increases the display risk of the display, in an alternative embodiment, the initial pixel clock frequency is adjusted by adjusting the row sum time and the field sum time.
In an optional embodiment, the initial driving information further includes: line sum time. The adjusting the initial driving information includes: adjusting the initial pixel clock frequency by adjusting the row sum time.
Since the range of adjustment allowed by the row sum time is greater than the range of adjustment allowed by the field sum time and the refresh rate, in an alternative embodiment, the initial pixel clock frequency is preferably adjusted by adjusting the row sum time. The specific method for adjusting the line sum time corresponding to the initial pixel clock is to adjust the line sum time to be close to the line sum time corresponding to the reference pixel clock frequency, and the specific close range is determined by the parameters set by the manufacturer on the display.
In an alternative embodiment, the step of adjusting the initial pixel clock frequency by adjusting the row sum time comprises: adjusting the initial pixel clock frequency according to the reference pixel clock frequency, the field sum time in the initial driving information, and the refresh rate in the initial driving information.
Figure BDA0002090278510000091
Equation (2) shows a calculation formula of the line sum time. Wherein,HT1' is the adjusted line sum time corresponding to the target resolution; p0Is the reference pixel clock frequency; VT1Field sum time corresponding to target resolution; r1The refresh rate corresponding to the target resolution is obtained. According to the formula (2): the value to which the row sum time corresponding to the target resolution needs to be adjusted can be determined by determining the reference pixel clock frequency, the field sum time corresponding to the target resolution, and the refresh rate corresponding to the target resolution.
In an alternative embodiment, the writing the final driving information into the registry comprises:
translating the final drive information into a corresponding detailed timing description.
Specifically, the final driving information is converted into DTD (detail timing description) according to VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) standard.
Writing the corresponding detailed timing description to a registry.
After the final drive information is written into the registry, the target resolution option is available to the display by restarting the host connected to the display, even if the display supports the target resolution.
