The invention relates to an MOV overvoltage protection device based on a zinc oxide nonlinear resistor, which comprises: zinc oxide nonlinear resistor MOV, circuit breaker K, transformer T; the MOV wire inlet end of the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor is connected with the wire inlet end of the device, and the wire outlet end of the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor is connected with the wire inlet end of the transformer T; the breaker K is connected in parallel with two ends of a zinc oxide nonlinear resistor MOV; and the inlet wire end of the transformer T is connected with the MOV outlet wire end of the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor, and the outlet wire end is connected with the outlet wire end of the device. The MOV overvoltage protection device based on the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor has the advantages of simple structure, safety, reliability, strong applicability and the like, the MOV is connected in parallel between the contacts of the circuit breaker, and the overvoltage related to the operation of the circuit breaker is limited to a lower level by absorbing the overvoltage energy of the system through the MOV, so that the overvoltage problem of the system is effectively solved.

Wherein, the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor MOV can be internally provided with a fuse wire to protect the resistor MOV.
According to the technical scheme, the MOV overvoltage protection device based on the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor has the advantages of simple structure, safety, reliability, strong applicability and the like, the MOV is connected in parallel between the contacts of the circuit breaker, the overvoltage energy related to the operation of the circuit breaker is limited to a lower level by absorbing the overvoltage energy of the system through the MOV, and the overvoltage problem of the system is effectively solved.

The zinc oxide nonlinear resistor MOV is used to limit the operating overvoltage between the contacts of the circuit breaker.
The zinc oxide nonlinear resistor MOV may have a fuse built in to protect it.
The breaker K is connected in parallel across a zinc oxide non-linear resistor MOV.
The working principle is as follows:
a zinc oxide nonlinear resistor MOV is connected in parallel between the contacts of the circuit breaker, and the overvoltage energy related to the operation of the circuit breaker is absorbed by the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor MOV, so that the overvoltage is limited to a lower level.
The following is an application case of this example:
in a certain petrochemical plant, a zinc oxide nonlinear resistor MOV (model: MOV32 multiplied by 21) is connected in parallel between contacts of a breaker (model: VS1-12/2000-40), and the overvoltage related to the operation of the breaker (model: VS1-12/2000-40) is limited within 20kV through the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor MOV, so that the overvoltage level of the system is greatly reduced, and the service life of power equipment is prolonged.

the MOV wire inlet end of the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor is connected with the wire inlet end of the device, the wire outlet end of the MOV wire inlet end of the zinc oxide nonlinear resistor is connected with the wire inlet end of the transformer T, and the wire outlet end of the transformer T is used as the wire outlet end of the device;
the breaker K is connected in parallel across a zinc oxide non-linear resistor MOV.
