Detailed Description
Referring to fig. 1 to 7, the present invention discloses an exhaust valve 100 for an automobile exhaust system, wherein the exhaust valve 100 includes a valve seat 1, a valve cover 2 capable of opening or closing relative to the valve seat 1, a cushion pad 3 located between the valve seat 1 and the valve cover 2, a spring plate 4 fixed on the valve cover 2, and a bracket 5 fixed on the valve seat 1 and matched with the spring plate 4.
The valve seat 1 includes a mounting portion 11 and an opening portion 12 located at a side of the mounting portion 11. The mounting portion 11 is provided with an inwardly recessed groove 13, first fixing positions 14 located at the sides of the groove 13, and flange portions 15 bent upward from both side edges. In the illustrated embodiment of the invention, the valve seat 1 is stamped and formed from sheet metal, with the recess 13 being stamped and formed inwardly from the mounting portion 11. Specifically, the grooves 13 include a first groove 131 in the middle and second grooves 132 at both ends of the first groove 131, wherein the width of the second grooves 132 is greater than the width of the first groove 131. The opening 12 includes a flat plate portion 121 located on the same side as the recess 13, an opening 122 penetrating the flat plate portion 121, and a cylindrical portion 123 surrounding the opening 122, wherein the cylindrical portion 123 protrudes in a direction away from the flat plate portion 121.
The valve cover 2 is used for matching with the opening 122, the valve cover 2 comprises a shaft 22, and the shaft 22 is installed between the bracket 5 and the installation part 11 and at least partially positioned in the groove 13. When the valve cap 2 is opened or closed compared to the opening 122, the elastic sheet 4 can slide relative to the bracket 5.
In the illustrated embodiment of the invention, the valve cover 2 is integrally formed from a sheet of metal, wherein the shaft 22 is wound from the sheet of metal. The exhaust valve 100 includes a wire ring 23 sleeved on the shaft 22, the shaft 22 is at least partially installed in the first groove 131, and the wire ring 23 is at least partially installed in the second groove 132.
In the illustrated embodiment of the present invention, the valve cover 2 is not flat, and has a recess 211 facing the opening 122, so that it can be brought into better contact with the exhaust gas.
The cushion pad 3 may be fixed on the flat plate portion 121 or inside the bonnet 2 to reduce the impact of the bonnet 2 with the corresponding component when the bonnet is closed, thereby reducing noise.
The elastic sheet 4 is fixed on the valve cover 2, and the elastic sheet 4 extends obliquely towards the shaft 22. The spring plate 4 includes a holding portion 41 fixed to the valve cap 2, an extending portion 42 extending from the holding portion 41 in a further inclined manner, and a distal portion 43 bent downward from a distal end of the extending portion 42. The junction of the extension 42 and the distal portion 43 forms an arcuate surface 44 for mating with the stent 5. Referring to fig. 4, when the valve cap 2 is in the closed position, a gap 45 is formed between the extension portion 42 and the valve cap 2. In the illustrated embodiment of the present invention, the holding portion 41 is fixed to the valve cover 2.
The bracket 5 is provided with a fixing portion 51 fixed on the mounting portion 11, an arc portion 52 for partially wrapping the wire ring 23, and a support portion 53 extending obliquely. The fixed portion 51 is provided with a second fixing location 511 aligned with the first fixing location 14. The bracket 5 and the mounting portion 11 can be fixed by fixing at the first fixing position 14 and the second fixing position 511. The arc-shaped portion 52 can limit the wire ring 23 from being separated from the second groove 132.
The support part 53 is in contact with the elastic sheet 4. In the illustrated embodiment of the present invention, the supporting portion 53 is provided with a V-shaped surface 531 contacting the spring plate 4 and a rib 532 extending to the middle of the V-shaped surface 531.
In use, exhaust gas from the engine enters the opening 122 from the cylindrical portion 123 and exerts a force against the recessed portion 211 of the bonnet 2. When the exhaust pressure is greater than the pressure of the elastic sheet 4 on the valve cover 2, the valve cover 2 is pushed open by the exhaust. In this process, the valve cap 2 rotates about the shaft 22 while the arc-shaped surface 44 of the resilient piece 4 slides along the support portion 53. Because the V-shaped surface 531 is V-shaped, when the deformation of the elastic sheet 4 is larger, the contact area between the elastic sheet and the surface 531 is larger, the friction force generated by the elastic sheet and the surface 531 is larger, and thus a larger exhaust pressure is required to further increase the opening degree of the valve cover 2.
Compared with the prior art, the present invention can be realized by a simple mechanical assembly by installing the shaft 22 between the bracket 5 and the mounting portion 11. In addition, the spring plate 4 is in contact with the valve cover 2, the function of opening or closing the valve cover 2 is achieved through the spring plate 4, a torsion spring is omitted, and cost is reduced.
