Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of bar codes, and particularly relates to a bar code, which comprises an initial symbol and an information area; at least a part of the information area is distributed along the object contour area and/or the periphery. The bar code can effectively solve the problem that the whole picture is influenced because the conventional bar code occupies a rectangular area, and the influence on the whole picture information of the object is small and the watching is not influenced by arranging the bar code in the outline area of the object.

The invention belongs to the technical field of bar codes, and particularly relates to a bar code.
Background
Bar codes have been widely used in various products, and conventional bar codes are rectangular, as shown in fig. 1. The bar code can mark information such as the country of manufacture, manufacturer, name of goods, date of manufacture, book classification number, starting and ending place of mail, category, date, etc., so that the bar code is widely applied to many fields such as commodity circulation, book management, postal management, bank system, etc. In use, the bar code is typically posted or printed on the outer packaging of the merchandise to facilitate scanning by the bar code scanner. The bar code is convenient for people to live and work in daily life, but has certain defects; for example, when the scanner is used for identification and scanning, the scanner must be used for alignment at a short distance, and under the condition that long-distance scanning is required, because the picture of the bar code is too small, the bar code information cannot be effectively scanned; and if the bar code is made too large for convenient scanning or photographing, the beauty may be affected. Moreover, the bar code must be printed on one corner of the outer package of the commodity, and the bar code has a fixed size, so that the bar code needs to occupy an independent position of the whole outer package of the commodity, and the trouble exists for the commodity with limited outer package area of the commodity.
Disclosure of Invention
In order to overcome the defects of the prior art, the invention provides a bar code which comprises a blank area and an information area, wherein the bar code is not distributed on the same straight line.
According to the invention, preferably, the different portions of the bar code can be distributed on at least two different straight lines; or at least one part of the bar codes are distributed on a straight line, and the other part of the bar codes is distributed in an arc line; or the bar codes are distributed in an arc. The portions of the bar code that are not distributed on the same straight line may form a closed or open shape, as desired.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, the blank area is also called "quiet area", and such blank areas may be respectively present on both sides of the information area, so that the scanning device can distinguish the information area.
According to the present invention, the information area may include a start character and a data character. The information area may further include at least one of a check character and a terminator, as necessary.
When the bar code includes a start character and a stop character, the start character and the stop character may or may not be adjacent.
According to the invention, the start symbol, data symbol, check symbol and end symbol can be lines or figures formed by black or other colors.
The data symbol and the check symbol may be present independently of each other, for example, independently of each other.
The information area may comprise at least 1 data symbol, for example 2 to 512 data symbols, such as 3 to 256 data symbols.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the widths of the data bits occupied by the data symbols may be the same or different.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, the widths of the data bits occupied by the start symbol, the check symbol and the end symbol may be the same or different, or they may be the same or different from the widths of the data bits occupied by the data symbols.
According to the invention, the data symbols can be distinguished by different colours; illustratively, the colors may be black and white, or black and background colors, i.e. each data symbol represents a 2-system, black represents 0, and white or background color represents 1; alternatively, the colors may be at least three colors, i.e. each character represents at least a 3 scale, e.g. black represents 0, red represents 1 and background color represents 2.
According to the invention, the start character, the data character, the check character and the end character can be set to be in a non-single straight line type or a non-straight line type (such as a curve type or a broken line type) according to the distribution area requirements of different parts of the bar code.
According to the invention, the bar code is a one-dimensional bar code. The bar code may be printed, glued, coated, sprayed, etc. onto the carrier, for example onto the carrier surface. When the bar code is bound to the carrier or the surface of the carrier, it is preferably disposed on the same plane.
The specific arrangement shape and arrangement position of the bar code are not particularly limited, and the bar code can be set according to diversified actual needs. According to the invention, the contour region can be an outer contour region of the carrier or an inner contour region of the carrier. For example, the ring may be an outer contour region of the ring or an inner contour region of the ring.
According to the invention, the length of the outline area is not particularly defined, and the outline areas with different lengths can be selected according to the information amount required to be included in the bar code.
According to the invention, the width of the information area is not particularly limited, for example it may be adapted to the size of the object, and it is also ensured that the reading means can read the information in the data symbols comprised in the information area.
In the invention, the data symbol can be marked, namely, the information of the object is recorded in the data bit in the information area, and the information in the data symbol can be read after the information is read by a reading device. The information includes, but is not limited to, country of manufacture, manufacturer, name of the product, date of manufacture, book classification number, location of origin and destination of mail, category, date, etc. The indicia may be different colored indicia, such as black and white; it may also be a mark of different geometry, for example, rectangular, circular, square, triangular, etc.
The invention also provides the application of the bar code, which is used in the fields of logistics, storage, books, postal service, medical treatment, health, food, clothing, banks, electronic products and the like.
The invention also provides an article comprising the bar code and a carrier, wherein the bar code is attached to the surface of the carrier.
The invention has the beneficial effects that:
the bar code can effectively solve the problem that the whole picture is influenced by the fact that a conventional bar code occupies a rectangular area, has little influence on the whole picture information of the object and no influence on viewing by arranging the bar code in the outline area of the object, can ensure accurate identification under a larger scanning distance, and can obtain different information contents by setting different colors.

The invention will be further illustrated with reference to the following specific examples. It should be understood that these examples are only for illustrating the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Example 1
Selecting a circular card with the diameter of 10mm as an object of the embodiment, constructing a region with the width of 2mm along the outline region of the periphery of the circular card to serve as an information region, and carrying out layout and design of data bits in the information region;
as shown in fig. 2, the circular outline area of the card, i.e. the information area, is first equally divided into 32 equal divisions, any two adjacent equal divisions are marked with a start symbol by red (the gray filling diagram described at the top in fig. 3), then the remaining 30 equal divisions are used as data bits, the black filling is used as 1, the white filling is used as 0, and encoding is performed in the clockwise or counterclockwise direction, and fig. 3 shows one of the encoding results; since the bar code designed at this time is a closed annular bar code, the design of the terminator is not needed, and the scanning instrument can also judge the termination.
The data information represented on the data bits is distinguished by filling with different colors, and according to the encoding rule, 2^30 ^ 1073741824 encoding results are supported in the circular bar code of the card, and 1073741824 cards can be supported at most. If more information needs to be set, the information quantity can be greatly improved by setting various colors, and each color represents different meanings.
In the actual use process, different coded information id is made according to different cards, then the id is converted into a 30-bit binary system or multilevel system, and the binary card can be printed on the outline area of the card according to the above rule (black 1 and white 0). When the card is used, a camera or a code scanning gun is used for shooting the card, color analysis processing of pictures and data bits is carried out on the shot pictures, specifically, as shown in fig. 4, an information area based on a contour area is firstly extracted, an image processing technology is used for unfolding the information area into a straight line, and encoded data of the information area is extracted according to an encoding rule, so that encoded information id of the card is obtained, and the card is identified.
Fig. 5 shows a final state diagram of the card, which can effectively solve the problem that the whole picture is affected by the fact that a conventional bar code occupies a rectangular area, and by arranging the bar code in the outline area of the object, the whole picture information of the object is affected little and the view is not affected.
Example 2
The design of a specific data bit is as in example 1, differing only in the design for the initiator; the embodiment adopts a special shape of mark-triangle as an initial symbol, and the coded information of the bar code can be obtained by scanning the instrument.
Example 3
Selecting a container body with standard size, such as 2438mm in width and 2438mm in height, and carrying out code design on a bar code along one side surface of the container body; the method specifically adopts the following steps:
constructing an area with the width of 100mm along the contour area of one side surface of the short side of the container body as an information area, and carrying out layout of data bits in the information area; as shown in fig. 7, the information area on the surface of one short side of the container is equally divided into 20 sections, the upper left corner, i.e. two adjacent areas at the corner, is selected as the start symbol, and the marking of other colors, such as other colors different from black and white, and patterns, such as other patterns, such as circles, triangles, pentagons, and the like, is performed; taking the rest 18 equally divided areas as data bits, and adopting the coding rule and the reading mode as those of the embodiment 1 to carry out coding design and interpretation on the data bits; the total amount of 2^18 code results paid out in the bar code.
FIG. 7 shows the information encoded on the surface of one of the short sides of the container body; specifically, the bar code designed in such a mode can not influence the overall picture of the container body, can also realize scanning and recording the container body under the condition of remote operation, shortens the efficiency, and workers only need to finish collecting the information of the container body indoors and need not to carry out field recording.

Claims (10)

1. A bar code comprising a blank area and an information area, wherein the bar code is not distributed on a same straight line;
preferably, the different portions of the bar code may be distributed on at least two different straight lines, or at least a portion of the bar code may be distributed on one straight line and at least another portion may be distributed in an arc.
2. The bar code of claim 1, wherein the information area may include a start character and a data character; for example, the barcode may further include at least one of a check character and a terminator.
3. The bar code according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the start symbol, data symbol, check symbol, end symbol may be a line or a figure formed by black or other colors;
the start symbol, the data symbol, the check symbol and the end symbol can be set to be linear or nonlinear (such as curve or broken line) according to the distribution area requirement of different parts of the bar code.
4. A bar code according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the width of the data bits occupied by said data symbols is the same or different;
for example, the widths of the data bits occupied by the start, check and end symbols are the same or different, or they are the same or different from the widths of the data bits occupied by the data symbols;
the data symbols may be distinguished by different colors.
5. The bar code according to any of claims 1-4, wherein the bar code is attached to the carrier, e.g. to the surface of the carrier, by printing, gluing, coating, spraying, etc.; when the bar code is bound to the carrier or the surface of the carrier, it is preferably disposed on the same plane.
