The invention relates to a construction panel for a furniture wall of a furniture carcass having a panel-shaped core, which comprises a first end face and a further end face, wherein a recess is arranged in the core, which extends at least along a part of the first end face of the construction panel and serves for receiving a fitting for guiding a movable furniture part. The invention further relates to a method for producing such a construction panel and a furniture wall, and to a furniture carcass or furniture item having such a furniture wall.
Background
Furniture items, in particular kitchen furniture such as top cabinets, bottom cabinets or wall cabinets, generally have a furniture body which opens toward the front and on which a furniture part which can be guided by means of one or more fitting movements is mounted. The movably guided furniture part can be a drawer or a door or a flap with a drawer front panel, which can be used alone or in different combinations in the furniture body. The application relates in particular to the use of doors and flaps as movable furniture parts. The door and the flap are distinct within the scope of the present application based on the alignment of pivot axes that extend vertically with respect to the door and horizontally with respect to the flap.
The door and the flap may be in one piece or may consist of a plurality of separate parts, in this case for example a folding flap, in which the various parts of the flap move in a sequence of movements relative to each other.
Door hinges arranged on the sides of the pivot axis between the furniture body and the door are often used for guiding the door. In principle, a similar hinge arrangement can also be used in the case of a flap. These hinges are then arranged along the upper side edge of the flap. However, it is often desirable to open the flap door in a combined pivoting and sliding motion, for example in the case of a wall cupboard, to obtain the greatest possible accessibility to the interior of the cupboard without the need to pivot the flap door away in a horizontal position, wherein the user is not at all accessible or only insufficiently accessible when closing. For this reason, special flap fittings have been established which are not arranged along the pivot axis between the furniture carcass and the flap, but rather laterally on the (usually both) side edges between the flap and the side walls of the furniture carcass.
Door hinges or flap door fittings of this type are known for mounting on the inside of a side wall or side walls of a furniture body. In this case, however, the fittings inevitably project into the interior of the furniture carcass, which on the one hand reduces the available storage space within the furniture carcass and on the other hand also impairs the structure of the interior of the furniture carcass. The mounting fittings also prevent cleaning of the interior of the furniture body, in particular the inside of the side walls. In particular, for visual reasons, it is desirable that the side wall is not fitted with fittings.
For mounting door hinges, it is known to mill grooves into the end faces of the side walls, into which grooves the door hinges can be inserted from the front. The inner side of the side wall remains free in this way. Hinges suitable for such milled grooves are known, for example, from the document DE 1559963.
In order to use such a hinge, the milling mentioned is carried out from the end faces of furniture walls (in particular side walls) already prepared for the furniture body. However, this procedure is only suitable for door hinges with a very small installation depth. This is because of the limited milling depth, whereby such a groove can be milled cost-effectively from the end face to the side wall during production. The installation thickness of door hinges inserted into such milled grooves is also very limited, since the side walls in the field of furniture have a wall thickness of only 16 to 20mm (millimeters). During the milling procedure, a certain minimum wall thickness must be maintained laterally to the milled groove, since the wall that is too thin will already break or crack or will deform during the milling procedure such that it no longer has a flawless surface.
In this way it is not possible to use larger and more complicated door hinges. The flap hinge generally has a large installation depth in the range of more than 10 or 15cm (centimeters), which cannot be achieved by milling from the end face.
Side walls for furniture bodies are known from DE 202013003189U 1, which are composed of parts of different components. In particular, the rear part facing away from the front of the furniture is conventionally formed, for example, from a coated wood element. The front part of the side wall is formed by a housing, not described in more detail in the cited document, which comprises a front opening into which the accessory can be inserted. The housing is connected to the conventional portion of the side wall, for example via pins or screws. Since the housing can have a thinner housing wall, which is possible by means of milling, and also enables a greater installation depth, the housing can also be used to accommodate larger door hinges or flap door fittings. However, the surface appearance and feel of the housing will generally not correspond exactly to the appearance and feel of the conventional components of the sidewall, making it impossible to obtain a uniform surface of the sidewall. Furthermore, the transition between the two housing parts can be visible and may still be perceptible.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the invention to provide an article of furniture or a furniture body which can be easily equipped with, for example, fittings which have a greater installation depth and can nevertheless be produced at low production costs. Furthermore, the furniture body is to be characterized by a uniform surface quality both on its outer side and on its inner side. Another object is to provide a construction panel for a furniture wall of such a furniture body, with which a simple production of the body can be achieved. Finally, the object is in particular to specify a method for producing such a construction panel and a furniture wall.
This object is achieved by a construction panel, a furniture body, an item of furniture and a method for producing a construction panel or a furniture wall having the features of the respective independent claims. Advantageous embodiments and improvements are the subject of the dependent claims.
The construction panel according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises: at least one machinable portion located outside the recess in the region of at least one of the other end faces. The construction panels prepared for the fittings or already including the fittings can be processed, e.g. cut to length, in the machinable part as typical material panels to manufacture furniture walls for the furniture body. Using some and in particular conventional processing steps, a furniture body can be manufactured which is provided with fittings which are accommodated elegantly in the furniture walls. It is also possible to use fittings with a large installation depth if the fittings are already integrated into the construction panel during production of the construction panel.
In one advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, the core is arranged between two laterally applied cover layers. The fitting is preferably received in the recess. The construction panel is then a composite element made of a core and a cover layer, wherein according to the invention the recess required for accommodating the fitting before the cover layer is applied has been introduced into the recess during production of the construction panel. There is therefore no limitation on the size of the recess as would be the case if a recess for a fitting were introduced in a construction panel that had been provided with a cover layer. It is therefore also possible to use large fittings which, in their depth, occupy the entire width or substantially the entire width of, for example, a later furniture wall. At the same time, the construction panel has a preferably one-piece, continuous overlay on each of the two sides.
In another advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, the fitting comprises a housing wall and this housing wall is used, for example, screwed and/or clamped and/or glued to the core (preferably before the cover layer is applied). A construction panel for a furniture body with permanently integrated fittings is thus obtained, whereby the production of the furniture body is simplified.
In another advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, the core is formed by two core halves which abut against each other in a plane parallel to the sides of the construction panel.
The fitting is preferably connected with the core half and/or with at least one of the cover layers to be able to transfer forces acting thereon as safely as possible to the construction panel. For example, for connection with at least one of the core halves along its edge, the respective recess may have a reduced thickness, such that a shoulder surface is formed towards the recess, on which shoulder surface the fitting rests, wherein the at least one tab projects beyond the fitting edge. Preferably, in this case, at least one spike extends from the at least one tab, which at least one spike is pressed into the material of the at least one core half in the region of the shoulder surface. This represents a particularly simple type of connection for connecting the fitting to the core during production of the wall. Alternatively or additionally, the fitment may be bonded (glued) to the core and/or to at least one of the two cover layers.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, the fitting comprises two housing outer walls, the maximum spacing of which is smaller than the thickness of the core, so that the fitting is accommodated in the construction panel, instead of projecting outwards on the cover layer. The mounting width is available for the fitting, which corresponds at most to the thickness of the core. Fittings up to approximately 20mm in width can therefore also be used in construction panels in furniture walls of typical thickness.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, the fitting comprises a lever mechanism, which guides the movable furniture part. In the closed state of the movable furniture part, the lever mechanism is preferably located between the cover layers. The fitting is then fully integrated into the furniture body, so that (inevitably) only the lever mechanism is visible, and it is also only visible in the open state of the movable furniture part.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, it comprises an integrated data carrier in which information items relating to the construction panel and/or the integrated accessories are stored. Furthermore, it preferably comprises an integrated transponder, for example an RFID transponder, which comprises the data carrier and is readable wirelessly. At the furniture manufacturer, it is thus possible to ensure, by reading (for example directly at the machine tool), that the furniture item to be produced is supplied with a construction panel of the correct type.
In another advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, the position of the at least one machinable portion is marked (for example on a movable protective film). The location of the integrated transponder may also be marked on a removable protective film to prevent improper handling.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, wall hangers are integrated, which can be mounted on the fitting for large-area force transmission.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, a narrow side coating (e.g. an edge veneer) is applied to at least one of the end faces of the two core halves and/or the core. It may extend in one or more parts over the entire length of the end face. The edge strip is preferably applied only in the region of the front face of the core when the fitting is integrated and/or inserted, wherein the edge strip is arranged at least in a part on the fitting. In this way, for example, the edges of the side plates of the fitting can be covered.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the construction panel, the fitting comprises a lever mechanism, which guides the movable furniture part. In the closed state of the movable furniture part, the lever mechanism is preferably located between the cover layers. The fitting is then fully integrated into the construction panel, so that (inevitably) only the lever mechanism is visible, and it is also only visible in the open state of the movable furniture part.
A method for producing a construction panel according to the invention comprises the following steps: providing a plate-shaped core and introducing a recess in said core, said recess extending at least along a part of a first end face of the core, wherein at least one protruding machinable portion remains outside the recess on at least one other end face of the core. Furthermore, at least one lateral cover layer is applied to the core before or after the introduction of the recess. The fitting is arranged in the recess before or after the application of the lateral cover layer. The benefits mentioned in connection with the construction of the panel are obtained.
In an advantageous embodiment of the method, in a further step, at least one protruding machinable part is marked so that it is externally identifiable. For this purpose, a protective film is preferably applied, on which at least one machinable part is marked.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the method, a narrow side coating is applied to the first end face before the fitting is inserted into the recess, and the narrow side coating covers at least a part of the end face of the housing wall of the fitting.
A method according to the invention for producing a furniture wall is characterized in that: the construction panel with integrated fittings is subjected to a machining process, in particular to a cutting to length, in at least one machinable part. In this way, a furniture body can be produced with low production outlay with some and in particular conventional processing steps, which is provided with fittings which are accommodated elegantly in the furniture wall. It is also possible to use fittings with a large installation depth if the fittings have been integrated into construction panels used during production of furniture bodies.

Fig. 1 shows an isometric illustration of a top cabinet of, for example, a kitchen, as a first exemplary embodiment of an article of furniture having a furniture wall manufactured from a construction panel according to the present application.
The top cabinet comprises a furniture body 10, said furniture body 10 having a bottom panel 11 and a top panel 12 and also two side walls 13. The rear wall is preferably provided, in particular for stability reasons, but is not shown in this exemplary embodiment.
The furniture body 10 is open to the front to gain access to the interior of the cabinet. A flap device 20 having a one-piece flap 21 is provided to be able to close an opening of the furniture body 10. The one-piece flap 21 is pivotally mounted along its top horizontal lateral edge. For this purpose, a fitting 30 is provided which is connected with the one-piece flap 21 using a lever mechanism 31 in the upper region of the flap.
The fittings 30 are arranged inside the respective side wall 13 (in addition to the lever 31, said lever 31 extends in the open position shown). In the closed state of the flap 21, the lever mechanism 31 is fully retracted into the side wall 13, possibly with the exception of mounting elements for connection with the flap 21. The area inside the side wall 13 where the fittings 30 are located is indicated by dashed lines in fig. 1.
The side wall 13 is characterized by a side 131, which side 131 is ideally one-piece and may have a continuously uniform surface quality throughout the area. The surface of the one-piece side 131 may create design effects with various patterns, surface qualities, or various colors. This preferably applies to the exterior of the side 131 and also to the interior of the side 131 facing the inside of the furniture carcass 10. As in the example of fig. 1, a one-piece flap 21 is provided as the flap device 20 to close the front of the furniture body 10. The two fig. 2a and 2b differ in the open state of the flap arrangement 20. Fig. 2a shows a partially opened state of the flap device 20, while fig. 2b shows a maximally opened state of the flap device 20. In contrast to the exemplary embodiment of fig. 1, in the present case a lifting and pivoting fitting is provided which enables a combined pivoting and displacing movement of the one-piece flap 21. In the fully open position shown in fig. 2b, at least a portion of the flap 21 is positioned above the top panel 12 of the furniture body 10. In this way, good accessibility to the interior of the furniture body 10 is achieved without the bottom edge of the flap 21 (in the region of which the handle 24 is mounted) being pivoted up to the height of the top panel 12. In this way, even in the case of a top cabinet mounted high in the room, the flap 21 is well accessible in the open position to be able to close it again.
As in the exemplary embodiment of fig. 1, the side wall 13 is also produced here from a construction panel 40, in which construction panel 40 the fitting 30 has been accommodated.
Another exemplary embodiment of a top cabinet with a furniture carcass 10 and a flap arrangement 20 is shown in fig. 3a and 3 b. Fig. 3a shows the flap arrangement 20 in the closed position, and fig. 3b shows the flap arrangement 20 in the open position.
In this article of furniture, a two-piece flap device 20 is provided, which comprises a top flap part 22 and a bottom flap part 23. The side walls 13 are also manufactured from a construction panel 40 that houses the fitting 30. The fitting 30 is coupled to the top flap member 22 and also to the bottom flap member 23 using a lever mechanism 31. Furthermore, an additional hinge 25 is provided which couples the top flap part 22 and the bottom flap part 23 to each other in a pivotable manner along their connecting line. As in the exemplary embodiment of fig. 2a, 2b, here too good accessibility to the interior of the furniture carcass 10 is achieved without the flap arrangement 20 pivoting too far upwards to be accessible to the user in the open state.
Fig. 4 shows a further top cabinet with a furniture carcass 10 and a flap arrangement 20, wherein a fitting 30 for guiding the flap arrangement 20 is arranged in a construction panel 40 according to the application. In the illustrated example, the furniture body 10 includes an interior separated by a vertical intermediate wall 14. In the present case, two intermediate walls 14 are provided, which divide the interior into three sections. In this embodiment, each intermediate wall 14 is manufactured from one construction panel 40. However, the illustrated device can also be implemented by having only one intermediate wall or more than two intermediate walls 14 as shown.
The flap arrangement 20 is, like the exemplary embodiment of fig. 3a and 3b, in two parts with a top flap part 22 and a bottom flap part 23. In its width, the flap arrangement 20 and the top and bottom flap parts 22, 23 extend over the entire furniture carcass 10. In order to be able to guide the flap arrangement 20 in a simple manner, the fitting 30 is also arranged in the intermediate wall 14 in the present case. Both the side walls 13 as well as the intermediate wall 14 are produced from a construction panel 40 according to the present application.
In all of the exemplary embodiments illustrated, the construction panel 40 features continuous sides having a consistent surface appearance and feel throughout the area. In particular, no transition in the region of the edge of the fitting 30 is recognizable in the surface.
A first exemplary embodiment of a construction panel 40 used to accomplish this is shown in an isometric exploded view in fig. 5 a. The illustrated construction panel 40 may, for example, serve as a side wall 13 in the exemplary embodiment of fig. 1 to 4 and also as an intermediate wall 14 in the exemplary embodiment of fig. 4.
The construction panel 40 comprises two main elements, here constructed in mirror images, each comprising one plate-shaped core half 41a, 41b, which one plate-shaped core half 41a, 41b is provided with a recess 42a or 42b, respectively. After subsequent assembly, the two core halves 41a, 41b together form the core 41 of the construction panel 40. The recess 42a or 42b may also be formed in different manners, respectively. The shape of the recesses 42a and 42b depends on the fitting to be used and its outer geometry, respectively.
The core halves 41a, 41b are manufactured, for example, from chipboard or Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) or High Density Fiberboard (HDF). The core halves 41a, 41b each have a rectangular dimension of the size of the side wall or intermediate wall later in the furniture body to be manufactured (for example, the side wall 13 of the furniture body 10 according to the exemplary embodiment of fig. 1 to 4).
A planar large recess 42a, 42b leading to the first end face 411a, 411b is introduced into each of the core halves 41a, 41 b. The narrow sections of the end faces 411a, 411b remain only in the top and/or bottom regions of the core halves 41a, 41 b. The recesses 42a, 42b may be embodied in mirror symmetry. In the region lying therebetween, the edges of the recesses 42a, 42b now form end faces 415a, 415b which follow the contour of the recesses 42a, 42b and are biased inwardly. The first end face 411a or 411b is also referred to below as front end face 411a, 411b, respectively.
The three other end faces of each core half 41a, 41b in fig. 5, the respective bottom left end face 412a, 412b, rear end face 413a, 413b, and top end face 414a, 414b extend linearly according to a rectangular dimension.
Although the core halves 41a, 41b have equal thickness in the illustrated example, the term "core half" should also be understood as a core half 41a, 41b having a different thickness within the scope of the present application.
The recesses 42a, 42b correspond in their contour to the outer contour of the fitting 30 to be inserted, here approximately L-shaped. The recesses 42a, 42b can each be introduced into the core halves 41a, 41b, for example by milling using a symbolically shown milling tool 1. Other machining techniques, such as drilling in conjunction with (plunge into) saw cuts, may also be used to form the recesses 42a, 42 b. Instead of the cutting or removal method for producing the recesses 42a, 42b, a forming method (e.g. according to specification DIN 8580) may also be used for producing the core halves 41a, 41b, by means of which the respective core halves 41a, 41b have at least partially obtained their finished form including the recesses 42a, 42 b.
The recess can also be pressed during production of the panel using a corresponding forming tool. The milling may occur throughout the entire thickness of the respective core halves 41a, 41 b. Depending on the thickness of the fitting 30 to be inserted, provision may also be made in the region of the recess 42a or 42b, respectively. It should be noted that the treatment may be performed from one of the lateral sides of the respective core halves 41a, 41 b. It is not necessary for the core halves 41a, 41b to be treated only from the first end faces 411a or 411b, respectively. The recess can thus take any arbitrary depth without problems (viewed from the original end faces 411a, 411 b) and can also accommodate fittings 30 having a large mounting depth. Furthermore, shapes like undercuts (undercuts), for example, may be produced, which is not possible with regard to handling from the end faces of the panels. When the assembly is completed, the core halves 41a, 41b form a core 41, wherein the recesses 42a, 42b complement each other to form a recess 42, said recess 42 accommodating the fitting 30.
The cover layer 43a or 43b is applied to each of the core halves 41a, 41b, respectively, in a mirror image, for example laminated on each of the core halves 41a, 41 b. This may occur before or after the preparation of the recesses 42a, 42 b. These cover layers 43a, 43b are preferably already provided with a decorative surface. The thickness of which ranges from tens of millimeters (millimeters) to approximately 2 or 3 mm. Typical coating materials based on plastic, coated paper, plywood or cork can be used as the cover layers 43a, 43 b. Leather or fabric may also be used. With a corresponding material selection of the core 41 (e.g. solid wood or metal), the cover layers 43a, 43b may also be omitted.
The core halves 41a, 41b may simply be complete 8mm panels, possibly already provided with cover layers 43a, 43b on both sides, for example to produce standard furniture with a thickness of 16mm, wherein the recesses 42a, 42b are introduced into the core halves from one side. In addition to the cover layers 43a, 43b, two panels can also already be provided on the end faces, the narrow sides being coated with edge coverings, for example. The recesses 42a, 42b desirably have a base made of the material of the core halves 41a, 41b so that the adjoining cover layers 43a, 43b are not damaged. The edge strips on the front end faces 411a, 411b can be milled on the rear. After the fitting 30 is inserted into the recess, the core halves 41a, 41b can be glued, wherein the core halves 41a, 41b can also comprise a cover layer in the joint in this embodiment, when the starting material of the core halves 41a, 41b has been coated on both sides. In this case, the fitting 30 can also be glued on an edge strip milled at the rear. The edge strip can also be applied later if the fitting 30 has been inserted into the recess 42. In this case, the narrow-side coating or edge strip covers the end-face housing wall of the fitting, so that the end-face housing wall is concealed.
For mounting, the fitting 30 can be guided between the two core halves 41a, 41b, for example, in a first mounting step I and the two core halves 41a, 41b can be closed like a clam around the fitting 30 and connected to one another in a second mounting step II. In a third mounting step III, a narrow side coating or edge strip 134 is applied to the end faces 411a, 411 b.
Alternatively, the fitting 30 may be inserted first into one of the recesses, for example, the recess 42b of the core half 41 b. The second main element, i.e. the core half 41a with the cover layer 43a and the recess 42a, can then be slid over the fitting 30 and the two core halves 41a, 41b assembled and connected to one another.
One possible type of connection of the fitting 30 to the core halves 41a, 41b and/or the cover layers 43a, 43b will be described in more detail in connection with fig. 5 b.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in fig. 5a, the respective core half 41a, 41b is partially milled in the region of the respective end face 414a, 414b of the core half 41a, 41b at the edge of the recess 42a, 42b by abutting the end face 415a or 415b on the side remote from the cover layer 43a, 43b, respectively, so that a shoulder surface 416a or 416b is formed, respectively, which shoulder surface 416a or 416b forms a shoulder with respect to the remaining side of the core half 41a, 41 b.
The fitting 30 comprises two side plates 301 spaced apart from each other, the two side plates 301 laterally delimiting the fitting 30 and providing a pivot point for the lever mechanism 31. Spacer sleeves and/or bolts that connect the side plates 301 to each other and fix them to be parallel to each other at a fixed interval may be provided between the side plates 301. In an alternative embodiment of the fitting 30, the screw elements may also be used as spacers, which provide the following options: the spacing of the side plates 301 is changed at least slightly and thus adjusted to the thickness of the core 41.
The tabs 302 project outwardly beyond the side plates 301 on each side of the fitting 30. The tabs 302 may for example be formed as curved side panels 301 corresponding to the folds.
The tab 302 is centrally arranged in a plane with respect to the side plate 301. Protruding pegs 303, for example formed by the standing material of the tab 302, are arranged laterally with respect to the tab 302 in the region of the tab 302.
Fig. 5b shows a detail of the construction panel 40 of fig. 5a in the assembled state in a schematic section in the edge region of the insertion fitting 30. It can be seen that the tabs 302 are fixed between the core halves 41a, 41b connected to one another in the region of the shoulder regions 416a and 416b, respectively. The pegs 303 are here pressed into the material of the core halves 41a, 41b on both sides as a result of the joint together of the core halves 41a, 41b, and thus fasten the fitting 30 in the construction panel 40 on the core halves 41a, 41 b. Furthermore, in this way, the core halves 41a, 41b are also connected to each other via the peg 303 and the tab 302.
If one recess 42a, 42b does not correspond to the thickness of the corresponding core half 41a, 41b, the side plate 301 of the fitting 30 may additionally be bonded in a planar manner to the bottom of the recess 42a, 42b of the core half 41a, 41 b.
The fitting 30 and the core 41 formed by the two core halves 41a and 41b preferably have equal thicknesses. The equal thickness is preferably in the range of 6mm to approximately 10 mm. The core 41 and the fitting 30 thus form a unit, wherein the fitting 30 is surface flush with the surface of the core 41 on both sides. Furthermore, the front edge of the fitting 30 also extends flush with the remainder of the actual first end faces 411a, 411b of the core 41.
A narrow side coating 134, which may be formed as an edge strip 134, is applied to the end faces 411a, 411b and the front edge of the fitting 30. The end face of the construction panel 40 is likewise concealed by the edge trim so that the side plate 301 and/or the housing outer wall of the fitting 30 is concealed.
Fig. 5c shows a detail of a front view of the end face 132 of the construction panel 40 of fig. 5a with an insert fitting. An edge strip 134 is applied to the end face 132, said edge strip 134 covering both the end face 411 of the core and also the side plate 301 and/or the outer shell wall of the fitting 30. The housing wall hidden behind the edge strip is shown here by a dashed line. The lever mechanism 31 of the fitting is free to move through the opening of the edge strip 133. In this exemplary embodiment, the narrow side coating or edge strip 134 is applied after the fitting is installed in the recess 42. The edge strips 134 may also have been applied to the end faces 411a, 411b of the core halves 41a, 41b in advance. In this case, milling is performed behind edge strip 134, and edge strip 134 is bonded to the face housing outer wall during insertion of fitting 30.
In the described manner, the construction element 40 is obtained from which construction element 40, for example a side wall or a middle wall already containing the fitting 30, can be produced in a simple manner during the production of the furniture body.
In order to be versatile, it can be proposed according to the application that on at least one of the other end faces 412a, 412b, 413a, b and/or 414a, b of the core halves 41a, 41b, the construction panel 40 comprises a machinable portion, within which the construction panel 40 can be shortened, for example sawn off, or into which a profile can be milled or into which a mounting element can be attached during production of the furniture body.
In the example shown in fig. 5a, the machinable portions 412a 'or 412 b' are provided, respectively-by way of example only-on the bottom end faces 412a, b-the construction panel can be handled within said machinable portions 412a 'or 412 b', wherein the fitting 30 is not damaged and the construction panel 40 (and in particular the fastening of the fitting 30) is not destabilized. The protruding machinable portions 412a ', b', indicated by hatching in the figures, may also accommodate the mounting of fastening elements, for example elements for the internal organization of an article of furniture, or other accessories may be fastened as desired.
Fig. 6 shows an isometric exploded view of an alternative structure of a construction panel 40 and illustrates its production.
The construction panel 40 comprises a core 41, which core 41 in turn is manufactured, for example, from a wood shaving panel or an MDF or HDF panel. A recess 42 for the fitting 30 is introduced into the core 41, for example milled in from one of the side faces. The recess 42 is open towards the first end face 411 of the core 41, so that the lever mechanism 31 of the fitting can be thrown into the construction panel 40. In the illustrated example, the core 41 is in one piece and rests only under the fitting 30. It is alternatively proposed that another core element is also arranged on the other side of the fitting 30, in particular on its top side.
The core 41 and the fitting 30 may be connected to each other via connecting elements (not shown here), such as screws, clamps, pins, nails or the like. Bonding may be provided in addition to the mentioned connecting elements, or as the only connection.
The cover layers 43a, 43b are applied, in particular glued or laminated, to the arrangement made of the core 41 and the fitting 30, possibly connected thereto from each side. The fitting 30 is in this case selected with respect to the material and the material thickness of, for example, the side plates of the fitting 30, so that it is also not compressed during the lamination process, which can lead to irregularities in the surface of the cover layers 43a, 43 b. Smaller irregularities in the side panels of the fitting 30 are balanced by the cover layers 43a, 43b and/or adhesive layers between the cover layers 43a, 43b and the fitting 30. Such smaller irregularities can be caused, for example, by the bearing points of the bolts, which are used for the pivotable mounting of the lever mechanism 31 in the fitting 30.
The production method of the construction panel 40 symbolized in fig. 6 also enables the use of fittings 30, which fittings 30 extend, for example, over the entire width of the construction panel 40 as shown, wherein the core 41 and the fittings 30 are first aligned to match one another and possibly connected to one another and then brought together with the cover layers 43a, b to form the construction panel 40. In this way, larger and more complex fittings 30 than are possible in milled grooves on the end faces of the side walls can also be used in constructing the panel 40.
By way of example, the machinable portion 412' is again provided as a protrusion on the lower end face 412, and the construction panel 40 may be treated within the machinable portion 412' or other elements may be mounted within the machinable portion 412 '.
A narrow side coating, e.g., edge trim, is provided for the end face 411, not shown in fig. 6. The edge strip covers the end face of the core 41 and the end face of the outer wall of the fitting 30.
Fig. 7 shows another exemplary embodiment of a construction panel 40 with a core 41 and an integrated fitting 30. For purposes of illustration, a two-piece flap having portions 22, 23 is mounted on the fitting 30. Further, the outer cover is illustrated as transparent to show the internal structure of the construction panel 40.
The core 41 of which the panel 40 is constructed does not in this example likewise consist of one material, but is actually formed as a composite material. In the edge region, this core 41 is in turn manufactured from a dense material, for example a wood shaving panel, an HDF panel or an MDF panel. In the inner region, in particular in the lower part of the core 41, where the fitting 30 is more narrowly shaped, a lightweight honeycomb-structured material 417, for example a cardboard material, is provided. By using the honeycomb material 417, the weight of the construction panel 40 can be reduced and also the material cost. Nevertheless, a sufficient stability of the construction panel 40 is achieved in particular in combination with the applied and preferably glued cover layers 43a, 43 b.
The construction panel 40 shown in fig. 7 (in this example on three end faces 412, 413 and 414, i.e. on all end faces except the first end face 411 into which the fitting 30 is inserted) also comprises protruding machinable portions 412', 413' and 414 ' as treatment zones. The treatment zone is sufficiently spaced from the fitting 30 so that the stability of the construction panel 40 is not compromised. In addition to the treatment zone, it is also possible to mark a mounting zone extending slightly more towards the fitting 30, in which mounting zones mounting elements (for example connection elements with other walls of the furniture body) can be attached on the construction panel 40.
In the region of the protruding machinable portions 412', 413' and 414 ', the dashed cutting line 2 indicates by way of example that the construction panel 40 can be cut to length along said dashed cutting line 2 during the manufacture of the furniture body. The prefabricated construction panel 40, already with the integrated fitting 30, can thus be used to produce an article of furniture with wall-integrated fittings at low cost.
Other accessories may be integrated in the construction panel 40, for example, wall hangers or connection elements for internal organizers or connection interfaces, for example, of furniture bodies.
Furthermore, electrical wiring and also other electrical components may be integrated into the construction panel 40 to enable electrification of an item of furniture. Integration of the lighting unit (e.g. LED lamp) is also possible.
The size of the protruding machinable portions 412', 413', and 414 ' and/or edges thereof may preferably be indicated on the construction panel 40 to prevent handling in areas where handling may damage the fitting 30 or affect the integrity and/or stability of the construction panel 40. One advantageous way of indicating the edges of the production machinable portions 412', 413', and 414 ' is to stamp the edges on a removable protective film, which is used to further protect the cover layers 43a, 43b during other processing. The location and size of the integrated fitting 30 may also be indicated accordingly. The treatment area of the fastening device for the internal organizer and/or the furniture connection area can also be shown on the protective film. These areas may also be located in surface areas that cannot be sawn away.
Alternatively or additionally, the information items about the construction panel 40 and/or its processing power may be integrated into the construction panel 40 in the form of readable data carriers. For example, an RFID (radio frequency identifier) transponder may be inserted into the construction panel 40, preferably below one of the cover plies 43a, b. The position of the RFID transponder may optionally be indicated externally on the construction panel 40, for example again on the mentioned protective film.
The RFID transponder may contain, for example, the goods number, the year of construction, the batch, the color information item, the size and position of the accessory, the type and carrying capacity of the accessory, etc. as data, which can be read out wirelessly via a reading device. At the furniture manufacturer, it is thus possible to ensure, for example, by reading directly at the machine tool, that the furniture item to be produced is supplied with the correct type of construction panel.
In another embodiment, wall hangers are preferably provided on the rear face 413 of the construction panel 40, which can be used to hang furniture items from a building wall.
Fig. 8 shows a core 41 for constructing a panel 40, said core 41 being produced to accommodate wall hangers. The core 41 has for this purpose a receiving channel 418 facing from the recess 42 towards the rear end face 413, into which receiving channel 418 the wall hanger can be inserted. A further channel 419 is introduced into the core 41 from above, i.e. from the top end face 414, said top end face 414 extending upwards into the receiving channel 418. The adjustment of the insertion of the wall suspension can be effected via a further passage 419, for example to achieve a height and/or inclination adjustment by means of a tool which can adjust the furniture item suspended from the building wall.
The receiving channel 418 may also extend upwardly into the end face 415 of the recess 42. In this way, the wall hangings can be connected directly to the fittings 30.
A fitting 30 insertable into the core 41 of fig. 8 is shown in an isometric view in fig. 9 a. The wall mount 32, which projects into the receiving channel 418 when the fitting 30 is inserted into the core 41 according to fig. 8, is mounted on its side opposite the lever mechanism 31. It can be proposed that the wall hanger 32 be placed on the head or hook of a screw screwed into the wall of the building.
Fig. 9b shows the wall hanger 42 prior to mounting on the fitting 30. The wall hanger 32 includes a connection device with which the wall hanger 32 can be installed as far as possible without tools on the fitting 30. In the present case, the connecting pin 321 is provided as a connecting device which locks into a corresponding receptacle of the fitting 30 when the wall hanger 32 is inserted into the fitting 30. In this embodiment, the wall hangers 32 may be inserted from outside the fitting 30 into the receiving channels 418 of the construction panel 40 as desired.
In principle, the wall hangings that constitute the panel 40 can also be fastened to the core 41. During mounting of the illustrated wall hanger 32 on the fitting 30, a large area of force distribution from the wall hanger 32 to the core 41 is advantageously achieved and forces acting locally on the material of the core 41 are prevented from exceeding the tear resistance of the (wooden) material of the core 41. Furthermore, forces acting on the fitting 30, for example the weight of a door or flap guided by the fitting 30 and/or lever forces, are effectively dissipated directly via the wall mount 32 to the building wall.

Claims (28)

1. Construction panel (40) for a furniture wall of a furniture body (10), the construction panel (40) comprising a plate-shaped core (41), the core (41) comprising a first end face (411) and further comprising further end faces (412, 413, 414) and a recess (42) being arranged in the core (41), the recess (42) extending at least along a part of the first end face (411) of the construction panel and serving for accommodating a fitting (30) in the recess (42), the fitting (30) guiding a movable furniture part and comprising a housing outer wall, the construction panel (40) comprising: at least one machinable portion (412', 413', 414 ') located outside the recess (42) in the region of at least one of the other end faces (412, 413, 414),
the method is characterized in that: the fitting (30) comprises a lever mechanism (31), wherein the lever mechanism (31) guides the movable furniture part and is located in the region of the recess (42) in the closed state of the movable furniture part, and the core (41) is made of a particleboard or a medium-density fiberboard or a high-density fiberboard.
2. Construction panel (40) according to claim 1, wherein the core (41) is arranged between two laterally applied cover layers (43a, 43 b).
3. Construction panel (40) according to claim 2, wherein the fitting (30) is connected with the core (41) and/or with at least one of the cover layers (43a, 43 b).
4. Construction panel (40) according to claim 3, wherein the fitting (30) is bonded to the core (41, 41) and/or to at least one of the two cover layers (43a, 43 b).
5. Construction panel (40) according to claim 1, wherein the core (41) is formed by two core halves (41a, 41b), the two core halves (41a, 41b) abutting each other in a plane parallel to the sides of the construction panel (40).
6. Construction panel (40) according to claim 5, wherein at least one of the core halves (41a, 41b) has a reduced thickness along the edge of the respective recess (42a, 42b) such that a shoulder surface (416a, 416b) is formed towards the recess (42a, 42b), on which shoulder surface (416a, 416b) at least one tab (302) protruding beyond the edge of the fitting (30) rests.
7. The construction panel (40) according to claim 6, wherein at least one spike (303) extends from the at least one tab (302), the at least one spike (303) being pressed into the material of at least one core half (41a, 41b) in the region of the shoulder surfaces (416a, 416 b).
8. Construction panel (40) according to claim 6, wherein the fitting (30) comprises a housing outer wall (301), the maximum spacing of the housing outer wall (301) being smaller than the thickness of the core (41).
9. The construction panel (40) according to claim 1, having a thickness between 15 and 20 mm.
10. Construction panel (40) according to claim 1, comprising an integrated data carrier in which information items about the construction panel (40) and/or the accessory (30) are stored.
11. Construction panel (40) according to claim 10, comprising an integrated transponder, which comprises the data carrier.
12. The construction panel (40) according to claim 1, wherein the location of the at least one machinable portion (412', 413', 414 ') is marked.
13. The construction panel (40) according to claim 12, wherein indicia of the location of the at least one machinable portion (412', 413', 414 ') is applied to a removable protective film.
14. Construction panel (40) according to claim 11 or 13, wherein the location of the integrated transponder is also marked on the removable protective film.
15. Construction panel (40) according to claim 1, wherein wall hangers (32) are integrated.
16. The construction panel (40) according to claim 15, wherein the wall hanger (32) is mounted on the fitting (30).
17. Construction panel (40) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the first end face (411) with the recess (42) comprises a narrow side coating (134), the narrow side coating (134) indirectly or directly concealing at least a part of an end face of the housing outer wall (301) of the fitting (30).
18. The construction panel according to claim 17, wherein the narrow side coating (134) extends in one or more parts over the entire length of the end face (411).
19. Construction panel (40) according to claim 18, wherein the narrow side coating is embodied as an edge strip (134).
20. Construction panel (40) according to claim 18, wherein the narrow side coating is embodied as a cover sheet or a cover strip.
21. Construction panel (40) according to any one of claims 2 to 4, wherein the lever mechanism (31) is located between the cover layers (43a, 43b) in the retracted state.
22. A method for producing a construction panel (40), characterised by the steps of:
-providing a plate-shaped core (41);
-introducing a recess (42) in the core (41), the recess (42) extending at least along a portion of a first end face (411) of the core (41), wherein at least one protruding machinable portion (412', 413', 414 ') remains outside the recess (42) on at least one other end face (412, 413, 414) of the core (41);
-applying at least one cover layer (43a, 43b) to the core (41) before or after the introduction of the recess (42); and
-arranging a fitting (30) in the recess before or after the lateral application of the cover layer (43a, 43b),
wherein the fitting (30) comprises a lever mechanism (31), the lever mechanism (31) guiding a movable furniture part, wherein the recess (42) opens into the first end face (411) of the core (41) such that the lever mechanism (31) of the fitting (30) can be plunged into the construction panel (40), and wherein the core (41) is made of a particleboard panel or a medium or high density fiberboard.

25. The method of any of claims 22 to 24, wherein a narrow side coating (134) is applied to the first end face (411) prior to inserting the fitting (30) into the recess, and the narrow side coating conceals at least a portion of an end face of a housing wall of the fitting (30).
