Abstract
本发明提出一种面光源组件包括发光元件、导光板以及量子点层。发光元件具有环状发光侧面,导光板具有相对的底面及出光面,底面具有容置槽以容置发光元件,容置槽具有入光面,入光面围绕环状发光侧面。量子点层围绕环状发光侧面。本发明另外提出一种光源模块,其包括多个上述的面光源组件。
Description
技术领域
本发明关于一种光源模块,且特别是关于一种能提供面光源的光源模块及其面光源组件。
背景技术
液晶显示装置的液晶显示面板不发光,所以需藉由背光模块提供面光源。背光模块包括直下式背光模块与侧入式背光模块。目前常见的侧入式背光模块是将发光二极管灯条配置在导光板的侧边,导光板内部设有网点,发光二极管灯条提供的光线进入导光板后,藉由网点使光线从导光板的出光面出射。然而,因发光二极管灯条是配置在导光板的侧边,容易有亮度不均的问题,且不利于区域调光(local dimming)。
目前常见的直下式背光模块是将呈二维阵列排列的多个发光二极管配置于扩散板下方。相较于侧入式背光模块,直下式背光模块具有较佳的亮度均匀性,且有利于区域调光,但却存在厚度较厚的问题。
此外,为了提升色彩表现,习知的背光模块会使用量子点膜(Quantum DotEnhancement Film)放置在扩散板上方,但量子点膜的尺寸需对应扩散板的尺寸,因而有成本较高的问题。量子点膜是由量子点层及配置于量子点层上、下两侧的保护层所组成,但量子点层的周边因无保护层保护,而容易受湿气影响而形成1~2mm宽的失效区,不利于应用在窄边框的产品上。

发明内容
本发明提供一种面光源组件,以缩减厚度并降低成本。
本发明另提供一种光源模块,以缩减厚度并降低成本。
本发明的其他目的和优点可以从本发明所公开的技术特征中得到进一步的了解。
为达到上述之一或部分或全部目的或是其他目的,本发明一实施例所提供的面光源组件包括发光元件、导光板以及量子点层。发光元件具有环状发光侧面,导光板具有相对的底面及出光面,底面具有容置槽以容置发光元件,容置槽具有入光面,入光面围绕环状发光侧面。量子点层围绕环状发光侧面。
为达到上述之一或部分或全部目的或是其他目的,本发明一实施例所提供的光源模块包括多个面光源组件,其中各面光源组件包括发光元件、导光板以及量子点层。发光元件具有环状发光侧面,导光板具有相对的底面及出光面。底面具有容置槽以容置发光元件,容置槽具有入光面,入光面围绕环状发光侧面,量子点层围绕环状发光侧面。面光源组件的导光板彼此拼接。
本发明实施例的面光源组件因将发光元件设置于导光板底面的容置槽中,所以能缩减面光源组件的厚度。而且,因量子点层只需环绕发光元件的环状发光侧面,所以能节省量子点层的材料,降低成本。本发明实施例的光源模块因使用多个上述的面光源组件,除了具有厚度较薄且成本较低的优点之外,还可以达到区域调光的功能。
为让本发明之上述和其他目的、特征和优点能更明显易懂,下文特举优选实施例,并配合所附图,作详细说明如下。

具体实施方式
有关本发明之前述及其他技术内容、特点与功效,在以下配合参考附图之一优选实施例的详细说明中,将可清楚的呈现。以下实施例中所提到的方向用语,例如:上、下、左、右、前或后等,仅是参考附图的方向。因此,使用的方向用语是用来说明并非用来限制本发明。
图1是本发明一实施例之一种面光源组件的剖面示意图,而图2是图1的发光元件、导光板以及量子点层的仰视示意图。请参照图1与图2,本实施例之面光源组件100包括发光元件110、导光板120以及量子点层130。发光元件110具有环状发光侧面111,导光板120具有相对的底面121及出光面122,底面121具有容置槽123以容置发光元件110,容置槽123具有入光面124,入光面124围绕环状发光侧面111。量子点层130围绕环状发光侧面111。
在本实施例中,上述之发光元件110例如是发光二极管,但不以此为限。发光元件110包括相对配置的顶面112与下底面113,下底面113邻近于导光板120的底面121,环状发光侧面111连接于顶面112与下底面113之间,顶面112不发光。此外,面光源组件100可更包括基板140,配置于导光板120的底面121下方,并承载发光元件110。发光元件110的下底面113例如是固定于基板140上。基板140例如是电路板,可用于驱使发光元件110发光。基板140的材料包括氧化铝(Al2O3)及/或氮化铝(AlN)等,但不以此为限。另外,基板140的面向导光板120的底面121的一侧可设有反射层141,以反射从导光板120的底面121漏出的光线。反射层141可以是白反射片、银反射片或二氧化钛(TiO2)反射层,但不以此为限。
本实施例之导光板120的底面121例如更具有环状凹槽125,围绕容置槽123,而量子点层130配置于环状凹槽125中。量子点层130包括基材及位于基材中的多个量子点。于本实施例中,量子点层130中还含有多个散射粒子,各散射粒子的直径介于3~10μm。
在本实施例中,由于发光元件110的顶面112不发光,因此由发光元件110的环状发光侧面111所发出的光线L1会经由围绕环状发光侧面111的入光面124进入导光板120并传递至量子点层130,其中部分光线L1会被量子点层130吸收而转换为其他颜色的光线L2,而另一部分的光线L1以及转换出的光线L2混光后可从导光板120的出光面122出射。在一实施例中,发光元件110包括蓝光发光二极管,发出的光线L1例如为蓝光,而量子点层130包括红色量子点及绿色量子点,可将蓝光转换成红光及绿光,如此红光、绿光及未被量子点层130吸收的蓝光可混成白光。在另一实施例中,发光元件110包括蓝光发光二极管(图未示)及覆盖蓝光发光二极管的红色荧光粉层(图未示),蓝光发光二极管发出的蓝光有部分会被红色荧光粉层转换为红光,所以发光元件110发出的光线L1包括红光及蓝光,而量子点层130包括绿色量子点,可将部分蓝光转换成绿光,如此红光、绿光及未被量子点层130吸收的蓝光可混成白光。
本实施例的面光源组件100因将发光元件110设置于导光板120底面121的容置槽123中,所以能缩减面光源组件110的厚度。此外,因量子点层130设置于导光板120的环状凹槽125,而不需对应整个导光板120的出光面122设置,所以能节省量子点层130的材料,降低成本。而且,由于量子点层130设置于导光板120的环状凹槽125内可视同被导光板120包覆,因此可藉由导光板120来隔绝外界的湿气,避免量子点层130受潮,因而可省略习知量子点膜中配置于量子点层130上、下两侧的保护膜,以进一步降低成本。由于量子点层130只有被环状凹槽125暴露出的表面131未被导光板120包覆,即使表面131受潮而产生1~2mm厚(从表面131往出光面122的方向为厚度方向)的失效区,对于面光源组件100的整体效能也不会有太大的影响,面光源组件100也可以适用于窄边框的产品。若要进一步避免受潮,面光源组件100还可包括保护层150,覆盖量子点层130之被环状凹槽125暴露出的表面131。
值得一提的是,为了进一步提升色彩表现,可以选用发光半高宽介于20nm~60nm的量子点层130,例如硒化铬(CdSe)量子点层。如此,可达到Rce.2020色域(color gamut)的90%。
图3是本发明另一实施例之一种面光源组件的剖面示意图。请参照图3,本实施例之面光源组件100a与上述之面光源组件100相似,以下仅针对主要差异处进行说明。在面光源组件100a中,量子点层130a是配置于导光板120a的容置槽123内,且位于容置槽123的入光面124与发光元件110的环状发光侧面111之间。因此,导光板120a不需具有图1的环状凹槽125。此外,面光源组件100a还可包括透光管体160,包覆量子点层130a,以避免量子点层130a受潮。
图4是本发明另一实施例之一种面光源组件的剖面示意图。请参照图4,本实施例之面光源组件100b与图1的面光源组件100相似,主要差异处在于面光源组件100b的导光板120b的出光面122b为凸面。具体而言,出光面122b的高度例如是从中心往侧面126逐渐降低,且所述凸面可以是曲面,或是包括从中心朝侧面126倾斜的一个斜面或多个斜面。
由于出光面122b为凸面,可改变导光板120b内光线(例如光线L3)于出光面122b的入射角,使原本在出光面122b为平面的情况下会被全反射至导光板120b之侧面126而从侧面126漏光的光线L3,被反射至导光板120b的底面121,并由底面121反射而从出光面122b出射,以改善导光板120b侧面126漏光的问题。图3之面光源组件100a的导光板120a的出光面122也可为凸面。
图5是本发明之一实施例的光源模块的俯视示意图。请参照图5,本实施例之光源模块200包括多个面光源组件210,各面光源组件210包括发光元件211、导光板212及量子点层213,且这些面光源组件210的导光板212拼接,而形成一大尺寸的导光结构。在一实施例中,这些导光板212可整合成一片。此外,面光源组件210可以选用上述任一实施例的面光源组件,例如面光源组件100、100a、100b,因此本实施例的光源模块200除了具有厚度较薄且成本较低的优点之外,还可以达到区域调光的功能。
综上所述,本发明实施例的面光源组件因将发光元件设置于导光板底面的容置槽中,所以能缩减厚度面光源组件的厚度。而且,因量子点层只需环绕发光元件的环状发光侧面,所以能大幅减少量子点层的尺寸,降低成本。本发明实施例的光源模块因使用多个上述的面光源组件,除了具有厚度较薄且成本较低的优点之外,还可以达到区域调光的功能。

Claims (14)
1.一种面光源组件,其特征在于,包括发光元件、导光板以及量子点层,
所述发光元件具有环状发光侧面;
所述导光板具有相对的底面及出光面,所述底面具有容置槽以容置所述发光元件,所述容置槽具有入光面,所述入光面围绕所述环状发光侧面;
所述量子点层围绕所述环状发光侧面。
2.如权利要求1所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述导光板的所述底面还具有环状凹槽,所述环状凹槽围绕所述容置槽,所述量子点层配置于所述环状凹槽中。
3.如权利要求2所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述面光源组件还包括保护层,所述保护层覆盖所述量子点层之被所述环状凹槽暴露出的表面。
4.如权利要求1所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述量子点层配置于所述容置槽内,且位于所述入光面与所述环状发光侧面之间。
5.如权利要求4所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述面光源组件还包括透光管体,所述透光管体包覆所述量子点层。
6.如权利要求1所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述发光元件包括蓝光发光二极管,所述量子点层包括红色量子点及绿色量子点。
7.如权利要求1所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述发光元件包括蓝光发光二极管以及覆盖所述蓝光发光二极管的红色荧光粉层,而所述量子点层包括绿色量子点。
8.如权利要求1所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述量子点层中包括多个散射粒子,各散射粒子的直径介于3μm~10μm。
9.如权利要求1所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述量子点层的发光半高宽介于20nm~60nm。
10.如权利要求1所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述面光源组件还包括基板,所述基板配置于所述导光板的所述底面下方,并承载所述发光元件。
11.如权利要求10所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述基板的面向所述导光板的所述底面的一侧设有反射层。
12.如权利要求1所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述导光板的所述出光面为凸面。
13.如权利要求1所述的面光源组件,其特征在于,所述发光元件包括相对配置的顶面与下底面,所述下底面邻近于所述导光板的所述底面,所述环状发光侧面连接于所述顶面与所述下底面之间,所述顶面不发光。
14.一种光源模块,其特征在于,包括多个面光源组件,
各所述多个面光源组件包括发光元件、导光板以及量子点层,
所述发光元件具有环状发光侧面;
所述导光板具有相对的底面及出光面,所述底面具有容置槽以容置所述发光元件,所述容置槽具有入光面,所述入光面围绕所述环状发光侧面;
所述量子点层围绕所述环状发光侧面,
其中所述多个面光源组件的所述多个导光板彼此拼接。
