本申请提供了本申请提供了一种数据更新方法和存储装置，该方法由包含有第一存储区和第二存储区的存储设备执行，所述第一存储区的数据读写速度高于所述第二存储区的数据读写速度，该方法包括：根据第一数据的第一key值查找索引树以获得与第一key值对应的第一子树，第一数据存储于第一存储区中，该索引树包括M层，该索引树的前n层节点存储于第一存储区中，第一子树的根节点位于该索引树的前n层，第一子树的叶子节点中包括第二存储区中已存储的数据的信息；将第一数据从第一存储区写入第二存储区；根据第一key值更新第一子树，更新后的第一子树的第一叶子节点中包含有第一数据的信息。本申请提供的数据更新方法能够提高存储设备的存储性能。
