Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of mobile communications technologies, and in particular, to a method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable storage medium for updating a Physical Network Function (PNF) of a Network Service Instance (NSI).
Background
The mobile communication industry has proposed a new wireless network architecture C-RAN that is evolved in green to guide the development of future centralized baseband processing network architecture technology. In the C-RAN network architecture, a part of network functions are virtualized through software and hardware decoupling and function abstraction, and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) architecture is adopted for network implementation.
In the existing NFV standard, instantiation of network services is mainly focused on management and orchestration of the Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure (NFVI). For example: in a Network Service (NS) instance, the update of the Network instance may be accomplished by adding an existing VNF instance, instantiating a new VNF instance, modifying an existing VNF configuration, and so on.
In the related art, network service instantiation may be performed by an Operation Support System (OSS)/Network Manager (NM), and according to needs, for example: the NS instance (NSI) is updated according to capacity requirements, bandwidth requirements, and forwarding paths, among others. The update of the NSI can be completed by adding VNF instances, updating VNFFG, and updating VL. However, these adjustments are all to virtual resource facilities or virtual network elements. On the RAN side, there is a lot of conventional physical hardware in addition to the virtualized network functional units deployed on the NFVI. Meanwhile, the RAN-side network scenario also has very urgent requirements for capacity adjustment and coverage adjustment, for example: expanding area coverage by adding physical hardware, changing physical hardware connections to increase area capacity, and the like. Therefore, an effective means is urgently needed to improve the adjustment flexibility of the RAN-side network and to perform targeted enhancement on the RAN-side network arrangement.

Claims (6)

1. A method for updating a Physical Network Function (PNF) of a Network Service Instance (NSI), the method comprising:
determining relevant information of physical equipment on the RAN side needing to be changed;
when determining that physical equipment needs to be added on the RAN side, adding PNF on an Os-ma-nfvo reference point through an update message UpdateNsRequest message of NSI; the PNF update indication information in the UpdateNsRequest message is AddPnfo, and the update type in the PNF update indication information AddPnfo is set to AddPnf;
when the RAN side is determined to need to modify the network address of the physical device, modifying PNF at an Os-ma-nfvo reference point through an UpdateNsRequest message; the PNF update indication information in the UpdateNsRequest message is ModPnfInfo, and the update type in the PNF update indication information ModPnfInfo is set to ModPnf;
when the RAN side is determined to need to remove the physical equipment, removing the PNF at an Os-ma-nfvo reference point through an UpdateNsRequest message; wherein, the update indication information of PNF in the UpdateNsRequest message is RmPnfInfo, the update type in the update indication information of PNF is set as RmPnfInfo,
and sending an update message UpdateNsRequest message of the NSI.
2. A method for updating a Physical Network Function (PNF) of a Network Service Instance (NSI), the method comprising:
receiving an update message UpdateNsRequest message of NSI; the update message is sent after the operation support system OSS or the network manager NM determines that the related information of the physical equipment at the RAN side needs to be changed;
the PNF update indication information in the update message UpdateNsRequest message is AddPnfo, and the update type in the PNF update indication information AddPnfo is set to AddPnf; alternatively, the first and second electrodes may be,
the update indication information of the PNF in the update message UpdateNsRequest message is ModPnfInfo, and the update type in the update indication information ModPnfInfo of the PNF is set to ModPnf; alternatively, the first and second electrodes may be,
the update indication information of the PNF in the update message UpdateNsRequest message is RmPnfInfo, and the update type in the update indication information of the PNF is set to be RmPnfInfo;
and executing corresponding operation of updating the PNF based on the update message UpdateNsRequest message.
3. A physical network function, PNF, update apparatus for a network service instance, NSI, the apparatus comprising:
the setting module is used for determining the relevant information of the physical equipment at the RAN side needing to be changed;
the method is also used for determining that PNF is increased at an Os-ma-nfvo reference point through an update message UpdateNsRequest message of NSI when physical equipment needs to be added at the RAN side; the PNF update indication information in the UpdateNsRequest message is AddPnfo, and the update type in the PNF update indication information AddPnfo is set to AddPnf; alternatively, the first and second electrodes may be,
the method is also used for modifying PNF through UpdateNsRequest information at an Os-ma-nfvo reference point when the RAN side needs to modify the network address of the physical device; the PNF update indication information in the UpdateNsRequest message is ModPnfInfo, and the update type in the PNF update indication information ModPnfInfo is set to ModPnf; alternatively, the first and second electrodes may be,
the method is also used for removing the PNF at the Os-ma-nfvo reference point through an UpdateNsRequest message when the RAN side needs to remove the physical equipment; the update indication information of the PNF in the UpdateNsRequest message is RmPnfInfo, and the update type in the update indication information of the PNF is set to be RmPnfInfo;
and the sending module is used for sending an update message UpdateNsRequest message of the NSI.
4. A physical network function, PNF, update apparatus for a network service instance, NSI, the apparatus comprising:
the receiving module is used for receiving an update message UpdateNsRequest message of the NSI; the update message is sent after the operation support system OSS or the network manager NM determines that the related information of the physical equipment at the RAN side needs to be changed;

5. A physical network function, PNF, update apparatus for a network service instance, NSI, the apparatus comprising: a processor and a memory for storing a computer program capable of running on the processor,
wherein the processor is adapted to perform the steps of the method of claim 1 or to perform the steps of the method of claim 2 when running the computer program.
6. A computer-readable storage medium, on which a computer program is stored which, when being executed by a processor, carries out the steps of the method as set forth in claim 1 or carries out the steps of the method as set forth in claim 2.
