Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a network architecture according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. Fig. 2 is a flow diagram of a calling method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
A call method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is described in detail below with reference to fig. 1 and 2.
In step 202, the ePDG device receives a call request of the VoWiFi user equipment, where the call request carries a called number, where the called number is a fixed telephone number of a location where the VoWiFi user equipment is accessed.
For example, the VoWiFi user equipment may first establish an IP tunnel with the ePDG device, and then establish a point-to-point connection with a PDG (PDN gateway) through the established IP tunnel to access the 4G core network. An exemplary procedure for a VoWiFi user device to establish an IP tunnel with an ePDG device is described below.
First, a VoWiFi user device accesses a WLAN and obtains a local IP address from the WLAN. Here, after the VoWiFi user equipment accesses the WLAN, the WLAN may assign a local IP address to the VoWiFi user equipment.
Then, the VoWiFi user equipment acquires the IP address of the ePDG equipment. For example, a VoWiFi user equipment may obtain a preconfigured IP address of an ePDG locally; as another example, the VoWiFi user device may locally obtain a domain name of the preconfigured ePDG, and then resolve the domain name into a corresponding IP address through a Domain Name Server (DNS).
And then, the VoWiFi user equipment establishes an IP tunnel with the ePDG equipment by taking the local IP address as a source address and the IP address of the ePDG equipment as a target address.
After the IP tunnel is established, the VoWiFi user equipment may initiate an Authentication request for accessing the 4G core network through the ePDG device, and after the Authentication is successful, the ePDG device obtains subscription data of the VoWiFi user equipment from an AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting, verification, Authorization, and Accounting) server, and obtains a remote IP address of the VoWiFi user equipment from a PGW.
At step 204, the ePDG device extracts the local IP address of the VoWiFi user device.
Here, the local IP address is obtained in the process of establishing an IP tunnel between the ePDG device and the VoWiFi user equipment. After receiving a call request of the VoWiFi user equipment, the ePDG equipment locally extracts a local IP address of the corresponding VoWiFi user equipment.
In step 206, the ePDG device sends the call request and the local IP address to the call control device, so that the call control device searches the area code of the VoWiFi user equipment access area according to the local IP address when the fixed phone number does not include the area code, and calls after adding the searched area code in front of the fixed phone number.
In one implementation, the ePDG device may send the local IP address to the call control device over the diameter protocol. In some embodiments, the ePDG device may send the local IP address to the call control device via network elements such as an AAA Server and an HSS (Home Subscriber Server).
The Call Control device may comprise a CSCF (Call Session Control Function) entity, such as an I-CSCF (Interrogating CSCF, Interrogating CSCF or S-CSCF (Serving CSCF).
The call control device (e.g. I-CSCF or S-CSCF) may pre-store a mapping relationship between the local IP address and the area code, and after receiving the local IP address, may search for the area code of the corresponding VoWiFi user equipment access area according to the mapping relationship. Thus, the call control apparatus can make a call after adding an area code before the fixed telephone number.
In the above embodiment, after receiving the call request from the VoWiFi user equipment, the ePDG device extracts the local IP address of the VoWiFi user equipment, and sends the local IP address and the call request to the call control device. The call control device can search the area code of the VoWiFi user equipment access area according to the local IP address under the condition that the fixed telephone number does not contain the area code, and then call after adding the searched area code in front of the fixed telephone number. The embodiment enables the VoWiFi user to call without additionally dialing the area code when dialing the fixed telephone number of the access place.
It should be noted that in the network architecture shown in fig. 1, some network elements, such as PGW or P-CSCF (Proxy CSCF), perform the same or similar functions as those performed by the existing network elements, and are not described herein too much.
In the present specification, the embodiments are described in a progressive manner, each embodiment focuses on differences from other embodiments, and the same or similar parts in the embodiments are referred to each other. For the system embodiment, since it basically corresponds to the method embodiment, the description is relatively simple, and for the relevant points, reference may be made to the partial description of the method embodiment.
