Disclosure of Invention
Problems to be solved by the invention
However, in the seal disclosed in patent document 1, there is a problem that: in order to avoid contact between the flange bent in the direction of the housing and to ensure a sufficient space for accommodating the flange, the degree of freedom in design of the housing is limited.
The invention aims to provide a device with a sealing mechanism with high design freedom.
Solution for solving the problem
In one embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus includes: a shaft member; a housing accommodating at least a portion of the shaft member; and a seal mechanism that seals between the shaft member and the housing, wherein the seal mechanism includes: a slinger provided on an outer peripheral surface of the shaft member; and a seal member provided between the housing and the slinger, the slinger including: a cylindrical portion; and a flange portion located radially inward of the shaft member as viewed from the cylindrical portion, an outer diameter of the shaft member at a position where the cylindrical portion is provided being formed to be identical to an outer diameter of the shaft member at a position where the flange portion is provided.
With the above configuration, since the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the cylindrical portion is provided is formed to be the same as the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the flange portion is provided, it is not necessary to change the outer diameter dimension of the shaft member when the slinger is attached to the shaft member, and therefore, the degree of freedom in design of the shaft member can be ensured.
In an apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention, a bolt for fastening the shaft member is provided to the shaft member, and a center position of the bolt is disposed near an outer peripheral surface of the shaft member.
Since the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the cylindrical portion is provided is the same as the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the flange portion is provided, the center position of the bolt for fastening the shaft member is disposed closer to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member by the above-described configuration in addition to the outer diameter dimension of the shaft member being unnecessary to change when the slinger is attached to the shaft member, and the distance from the center position of the shaft member can be increased, whereby the shaft fastening force can be improved.
In the device according to an embodiment of the present invention, the center position of the bolt of the shaft member is disposed at a position that maintains the outer peripheral shape of the shaft member and is closest to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member when the bolt is screwed to the shaft member.
Since the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the cylindrical portion is provided is formed to be the same as the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the flange portion is provided, when the slinger is attached to the shaft member, the center position of the bolt for fastening the shaft member is arranged closer to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member by the above-described configuration in addition to the outer diameter dimension of the shaft member, and thus the distance from the center position of the shaft member can be increased, and the transmission torque to the member fastened to the shaft member can be increased.
In the device according to the embodiment of the present invention, the center position of the bolt of the shaft member is disposed in a range of 3mm to 10mm from the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member.
Since the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the cylindrical portion is provided is the same as the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the flange portion is provided, when the flinger is mounted on the shaft member, the center position of the bolt for fastening the shaft member is arranged in the range of 3mm to 10mm from the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member by the above-described configuration, in addition to the outer diameter dimension of the shaft member, and the distance from the center position of the shaft member can be increased, whereby the improvement of the shaft fastening force and the transmission torque to the member fastened to the shaft member can be facilitated.
In the device according to an embodiment of the present invention, an adhesive layer is provided between the cylindrical portion and the shaft member, and a length of the flange portion extending radially inward of the shaft member is equal to or less than a thickness of the adhesive layer. In the device according to the embodiment of the present invention, when the flange portion extends radially inward of the shaft member by a length smaller than the thickness of the adhesive layer, the adhesive layer is formed between the shaft member and the flange portion.
With the above configuration, since the flange portion is located radially inward of the shaft member from the cylindrical portion, the outer diameter dimension of the seal mechanism is not increased, and therefore, not only can the housing accommodating at least a part of the shaft member be made compact, but also the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the flinger is mounted can be maintained, and the strength of the flinger due to the flange portion can be improved.
The sealing mechanism of the device according to the above-described embodiment of the present invention can be suitably applied to various devices requiring miniaturization.
ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION
The degree of freedom of the design of the whole device can be ensured.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 shows a cross-sectional view of a device 10 having a sealing mechanism 1 according to an embodiment of the invention.
The sealing mechanism 1 in one embodiment of the present invention seals between the shaft member 4 and the housing 5 that houses at least a part of the shaft member. The device 10 composed of the shaft member 4, the housing 5, and the sealing mechanism 1 seals the internal space of the device 10 from the external space by the sealing mechanism 1.
The sealing mechanism 1, the shaft member 4 and the housing 5 in one embodiment of the invention form at least part of the device 10. That is, the device 10 may be provided with constituent members other than the seal mechanism 1, the shaft member 4, and the housing 5. The device may be a decelerator or other device. The shaft member 4 can be configured to rotate by, for example, a speed reducer operation, but is not limited to this, and may be any rotation member. The seal mechanism 1 is not intended to be provided only in a specific device, but is applicable to a device having an arbitrary rotating member.
The shaft member 4 in one embodiment of the present invention is configured to rotate about a predetermined rotation axis, but it is not intended to limit the shaft member 4 to a specific shape. The shaft member may be, for example, a cylindrical member, or a member having another shape.
The housing 5 in one embodiment of the present invention may be formed substantially coaxially with the shaft member 4. At least one of the shaft member 4 and the housing 5 in one embodiment of the present invention rotates about the rotation axis. That is, the shaft member 4 may be rotated about the rotation axis, and the housing 5 may be fixed, or the shaft member 4 may be fixed, and the housing 5 may be rotated about the rotation axis.
The housing 5 in one embodiment of the present invention forms an internal space in which the shaft member 4 is partially housed. Various components used as a part of the device may be housed together with the shaft 4 in the internal space of the housing 5. As an example, a gear member or the like that can be coupled to the shaft member 4 may be disposed in the inner space of the housing 5, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
As described above, the sealing mechanism 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention is configured to separate the inner space of the housing 5 from the outer space outside the housing 5. The sealing mechanism 1 is provided in a space (for example, an annular space) formed between the shaft member 4 and the housing 5, whereby the sealing mechanism 1 seals the inner space from the outer space.
The shaft member 4 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an outer circumferential surface 14. The seal mechanism 1 is mounted on the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4 so as to be in close contact with the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4. An adhesive is applied to the outer peripheral surface 14 to form an adhesive layer AHL.
The housing 5 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an inner peripheral surface 15. The seal mechanism 1 is in contact with the inner peripheral surface 15 of the housing 5 so as to be in close contact with the inner peripheral surface 15 of the housing 5. In this way, the seal mechanism 1 is formed so as to be sandwiched between the inner peripheral surface 15 of the housing 5 and the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4.
Next, the seal mechanism 1 in an embodiment of the present invention includes the slinger 2 and the seal member 3. The slinger 2 includes: a cylindrical portion 11; and a flange portion 12, the flange portion 12 being located radially inward of the shaft member 4 as viewed from the cylindrical portion 11. The slinger 2 may include constituent members other than the cylindrical portion 11 and the flange portion 12, and may be constituted by the cylindrical portion 11 and the flange portion 12.
The cylindrical portion 11 of the slinger 2 may be formed at least partially in a cylindrical shape, or may be formed entirely in a cylindrical shape. One or both ends of the cylindrical portion 11 may be partially chamfered.
The flange portion 12 in one embodiment of the present invention extends radially inward of the shaft member 4 from one end or a part of the cylindrical portion 11. When another component member is interposed between the cylindrical portion 11 and the flange portion 12, the flange portion 12 is configured to extend radially inward of the shaft member 4 from one end or a part of the other component member. The flange portion 12 may extend to contact with the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4, or may extend to the front of the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4.
The cylindrical portion 11 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an inner peripheral surface 21 and an outer peripheral surface 20 opposite to the inner peripheral surface 21. The inner peripheral surface 21 of the cylindrical portion 11 is bonded to the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4 by the adhesive layer AHL. In this way, the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4 is surrounded by the cylindrical portion 11. A jig (not shown) for determining the position of attaching the slinger 2 to the shaft member 4 may be used. Instead of the adhesive layer AHL, a rubber member having sealability may be interposed between the inner peripheral surface 21 of the cylindrical portion 11 and the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4, or another member may be interposed between the inner peripheral surface 21 of the cylindrical portion 11 and the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4.
In the illustrated example, the flange portion 12 is formed to have a length protruding from the cylindrical portion 11 in the radial direction of the shaft member 4 equal to or smaller than the thickness of the adhesive layer AHL. When the length of the flange portion 12 protruding from the cylindrical portion 11 as viewed in the radial direction of the shaft member 4 is smaller than the thickness of the adhesive layer AHL, the adhesive layer AHL may be formed between the end surface 22 of the flange portion and the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4.
The shaft member 4 according to an embodiment of the present invention may be formed such that the outer diameter of the shaft member 4 at the position where the cylindrical portion 11 is provided is the same as the outer diameter of the shaft member 4 at the position where the flange portion 12 is provided. The term "identical" as used herein also includes the range of errors which are unavoidable in manufacturing such as dimensional errors, and therefore is not intended to be necessarily identical, but is needless to say that it includes substantially identical cases.
The shaft member 4 according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with a screw hole 30 of a bolt (not shown in particular) for fastening the shaft member 4 to other constituent members (not shown in particular), and a center position 100 of the bolt (or a center position 100 of the screw hole 30) is disposed at a position close to the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4.
The outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the cylindrical portion is provided is formed to be the same as the outer diameter of the shaft member at the position where the flange portion is provided. That is, when the flinger is mounted on the shaft member, the outer diameter dimension of the shaft member is not changed. Further, the center position of the bolt for fastening the shaft member is disposed closer to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member, and the distance from the center position of the shaft member can be increased, whereby the shaft fastening force can be improved.
The center position of the bolt of the shaft member 4 in one embodiment of the present invention is disposed at a position closest to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft member 4 while maintaining the outer peripheral shape of the shaft member 4 when the bolt is screwed to the shaft member 4. Thereby, the transmission torque to the member fastened to the shaft member can be increased.
The center position of the bolt of the shaft member 4 in one embodiment of the present invention is arranged at a position within a range of 3mm to 10mm from the outer peripheral surface 14 of the shaft member 4. Thereby, the distance from the center position of the shaft member can be increased, and the improvement of the shaft fastening force and the transmission torque to the member fastened to the shaft member can be facilitated.
As described above, the shaft member 4 according to the embodiment of the present invention can ensure the degree of freedom in designing the shaft member 4 without requiring a special design for mounting the slinger 2. In addition, with the above-described construction of the slinger of the housing 5, the flange does not interfere with the housing, and the degree of freedom in design of the housing can be ensured. Further, by disposing the seal on the outer peripheral portion of the flange, the output shaft directional length of the seal mechanism can be shortened. In this way, the sealing mechanism 1 can be made compact in size. This ensures the degree of freedom in designing the constituent members of the sealed device 1. In addition, the space between the shaft member 4 and the housing 5 can also be effectively utilized for the arrangement of various components.
Next, the seal member 3 according to an embodiment of the present invention is an annular member having an outer peripheral surface 23 that abuts against the inner peripheral surface 15 of the housing 5. The seal member 3 is formed so as to surround the rotation axis of the shaft member 4. The seal member 3 includes a main ring portion 24, an annular main lip 25, an annular dust lip 26, and a spring ring 27.
In the example shown in fig. 1, the other seal member 6 further surrounds the rotation axis of the shaft member 4 adjacent to the seal member 3 and is disposed outside (on the outer space side) as viewed in the rotation axis direction of the shaft member 4, and the additional seal member may be disposed separately or may be configured so as not to be disposed either of the other seal member 6 or the additional seal member. The other seal member 6 is symmetrically formed with the seal member 3, and therefore, a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
The main ring portion 24 of the seal member 3 in one embodiment of the present invention includes a 1 st portion 241 and a 2 nd portion 242. The 1 st portion 241 is formed as a cylindrical portion having a central axis substantially coincident with the rotation axis of the shaft member 4. Part or the whole of the outer peripheral surface of the 1 st portion 241 is in contact with the inner peripheral surface 15 of the housing 5. On the other hand, the 2 nd portion 242 is formed as an annular portion which is bent from the end portion of the 1 st portion 241 and protrudes radially inward of the shaft member 4. The 2 nd portion 242 includes an inner peripheral end 243 opposed to the outer peripheral surface 20 of the cylindrical portion 11. The dust lip 26 and the main lip 25 are connected to the inner peripheral end 243.
The dust lip 26 in one embodiment of the present invention protrudes obliquely from the inner peripheral end 243 of the main ring portion 24 toward the outer space and the radially inner side of the shaft member 4. The dust lip 26 is used to prevent foreign matter such as dust floating in the external space from entering the internal space.
The tip of the dust lip 26 abuts against the outer peripheral surface 20 of the cylindrical portion 11. While at least one of the shaft member 4 and the housing 5 is rotating, the tip of the dust lip 26 rubs against the cylindrical portion 11 of the slinger 2, but the slinger 2 is formed of a material having wear resistance superior to that of the shaft member 4, so that the slinger 2 hardly wears even when the state in which the dust lip 26 is in sliding contact with the cylindrical portion 11 is continued.
The primary lip 25 in one embodiment of the present invention includes a crimp ring 251 and a connector ring 252. The crimp ring 251 is in contact with the outer peripheral surface 20 of the cylindrical portion 11 between the dust lip 26 and the inner space. The connection ring 252 connects the crimp ring 251 to the inner peripheral end 243 of the main ring portion 24.
The spring ring 27 in one embodiment of the present invention is mounted to the crimp ring 251. The spring ring 27 surrounding the crimp ring 251 applies a force to the crimp ring 251 toward the rotational axis of the shaft member 4 over substantially the entire circumference of the crimp ring 251. In this way, the crimp ring 251 is in close contact with the outer peripheral surface 20 of the cylindrical portion 11, and a sealing function is formed at the boundary between the crimp ring 251 and the outer peripheral surface 20 of the cylindrical portion 11. The sealing function formed at the boundary between the crimp ring 251 and the outer peripheral surface 20 of the cylindrical portion 11 prevents the liquid (e.g., lubricating oil or the like) stored in the internal space from leaking out to the external space.
Since the crimp ring 251 rubs against the cylindrical portion 11 of the slinger 2 during rotation of at least one of the shaft member 4 and the housing 5, the slinger 2 is formed of a material having wear resistance superior to that of the shaft member 4 as described above, the slinger 2 is hardly worn even in the case where the state in which the crimp ring 251 of the main lip 25 is in sliding contact with the cylindrical portion 11 is continued.
Industrial applicability
The principle of the above-described embodiment is suitably utilized for various mechanical devices.
