8. The intelligent wire stripper of claim 1 wherein the control device comprises a power source for powering the rotary drive device and a control unit for controlling the operation of the rotary drive device, the power source being a rechargeable battery.
9. The intelligent wire stripper of any of claims 1-8, further comprising a remote control communicatively coupled to the control device.
