Abstract
The invention discloses an electric connector, which comprises an insulating body and a terminal module arranged on the insulating body, wherein the insulating body comprises a rear wall and a tongue plate extending forwards from the rear wall; the rear wall is provided with a mounting groove with a backward opening, the insulating block is mounted in the mounting groove from back to front, and each conductive terminal comprises a contact part which extends into the tongue plate and is exposed on the surface of the tongue plate; and a gap between the insulating block and the rear wall is filled with sealing colloid. The sealing colloid enables the electric connector to have better waterproof performance.

The insulating body is arranged in the accommodating groove, and a plurality of terminals are formed on the insulating body. The sealing body is formed on the sealing side to fill the gap between the rubber core shell and the shielding shell, and simultaneously, the sealing body also fills the bottom area of the plurality of terminals penetrating out of the base so as to increase the waterproof effect. The waterproof socket electric connector has poor waterproof effect.

Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following beneficial effects: the sealing colloid of the electric connector is filled between the insulating block and the rear wall, so that the waterproof effect of the electric connector is better.

The following detailed description will further illustrate the invention in conjunction with the above-described figures.

As shown in fig. 1 to 6, the present invention discloses an electrical connector 100, which includes an insulative housing 10, a terminal module 20 mounted in the insulative housing 10, an inner housing 30 received in the insulative housing 10, and an outer housing 40 covering the outer side of the insulative housing 10. The electrical connector 100 is provided with a mating cavity 101 opened forward for insertion of a mating connector. The insulating body 10 includes a main body 12, an additional portion 15 located below the main body 12, and a frame 11 located at the front end of the main body 12. The body portion 12 has a width greater than that of the additional portion 15. The width and height of the frame body 11 are greater than those of the body 12. The body portion 12 includes a top wall 16, a bottom wall 17, two side walls 18 connecting the top wall 16 and the bottom wall 17, a rear wall 19, and a tongue plate 102 extending forward from the rear wall 19. Said tongue 102 is located in the docking chamber 101. The rear wall 19 is provided with a mounting groove 190 that opens rearward. The terminal module 20 includes an insulating block 21 and a plurality of conductive terminals 22 held on the insulating block 21. The insulation block 21 is installed in the installation groove 190 from the rear to the front. The gap between the insulating block 21 and the mounting groove 190 is filled with a sealing colloid 50, so that the good waterproof performance of the electric connector 100 is ensured. The conductive terminal 22 includes a fixing portion 221, an elastic contact portion 222 extending forward from the fixing portion 221, and a soldering portion 223 bent downward from the rear end of the fixing portion 221. The insulating block 21 is injection molded on the fixing portion 221, so that a gap between the insulating block 21 and the fixing portion 221 is avoided. The resilient contact 222 extends forwardly into the tongue plate 102 and is exposed at the surface of the tongue plate 102. The additional portion 15 extends downwardly from the bottom wall 17. The additional portion 15 includes two opposite side portions 151 and a rear portion 154 connecting the two side portions 151, and the two side portions 151 and the rear portion 154 form a receiving space 156 opened forward and downward. The rear portion 154 is provided with a vertically extending terminal receiving groove 155, and the soldering portion 223 is received in the terminal receiving groove 155.
The outer housing 40 includes a first top wall 41, two first side walls 42 bent downward from two side edges of the first top wall 41, and a first rear wall 46 bent downward from a rear edge of the first top wall 41. The outer shell 40 is provided with a welding foot 45 extending downwardly from the lower edge of the first side wall 42 thereof. The side portion 151 is provided with a bending portion 152 bent outward and backward from the front end thereof, and a holding groove 153 is formed between the bending portion 152 and the side portion 151. The welding foot 45 is held in the holding groove 153. The lower edge of the first side wall 42 is bent inward to form a catch 43. The main body 12 includes an extension 13 extending downward from a side wall 18 thereof beyond a bottom wall 17, a latching groove 14 is formed between the extension 13 and the additional portion 15, and the retaining portion 43 is retained in the latching groove 14. The main body 12 includes a protrusion 121 protruding outward from an outer side surface thereof, the protrusion 121 extends rearward from the frame 11, and the first sidewall 42 is provided with a locking groove 44 matching with the protrusion 121. The holding effect between the outer housing 40 and the insulating housing 10 is better.
The inner housing 30 includes a second top wall 31, a second bottom wall 32 and two second side walls 33 connecting the second top wall 31 and the second bottom wall 32. The second side wall 33 includes a hook 34 bent back and out from the rear edge thereof, and the hook 34 is clamped to the outer housing 40. The first rear wall 46 of the outer housing 40 is provided with abutting arms 47 extending downward from both ends thereof, and the abutting arms 47 abut against the hooks 34. The outer housing 40 and the inner housing 30 are engaged with each other, so that the electrical connector 100 has a better grounding effect when being engaged with a mating connector.

Claims (10)
1. An electric connector comprises an insulating body and a terminal module arranged on the insulating body, wherein the insulating body comprises a rear wall and a tongue plate extending forwards from the rear wall, and the terminal module comprises an insulating block and a plurality of conductive terminals fixed on the insulating block; the method is characterized in that: the rear wall is provided with a mounting groove with a backward opening, the insulating block is mounted in the mounting groove from back to front, and each conductive terminal comprises a contact part which extends into the tongue plate and is exposed on the surface of the tongue plate; the insulating block with the gap packing between the back wall has sealed colloid, electric connector still includes the cladding the shell body in the insulator outside and accept in interior casing in the insulator, interior casing is equipped with and extends backward and outwards buckle and the trip that forms from its both sides, the shell body be equipped with lean on in the arm is leaned on to the trip.

The electrical connector of claim 1, wherein: the outer shell comprises a first top wall, two first side walls and a first rear wall, wherein the two first side walls are bent downwards from the edges of the two sides of the first top wall, the first rear wall is bent downwards from the rear edge of the first top wall, and the first rear wall is provided with the abutting arms which extend downwards from the two ends of the first rear wall; the inner shell comprises a second top wall, a second bottom wall and two second side walls connecting the second top wall and the second bottom wall, the second side walls comprise hooks bent backwards and outwards from the rear edges of the second side walls, and the hooks are clamped on the outer shell.

The electrical connector of claim 3, wherein: the insulating body comprises a top wall, a bottom wall and two side walls connecting the top wall and the bottom wall, and further comprises an additional portion extending downwards from the bottom wall, the additional portion comprises two opposite side portions and a rear portion connecting the two side portions, and the two side portions and the rear portion form a containing space which is opened forwards and downwards.

The electrical connector of claim 4, wherein: the shell body is provided with a welding foot extending downwards from the lower edge of the first side wall of the shell body, the side portion is provided with a bending portion bending backwards from the front end of the side portion, a clamping groove is formed between the bending portion and the side portion, and the welding foot is clamped in the clamping groove.
6. The electrical connector of claim 5, wherein: the rear part is provided with a vertically extending terminal accommodating groove, and the conductive terminal is accommodated in the terminal accommodating groove.

The electrical connector of claim 4, wherein: the insulating body comprises a body part and a frame part positioned at the front end of the body part, the body part is positioned on the upper side of the additional part, and the width and the height of the frame part are both larger than those of the body part.
8. The electrical connector of claim 7, wherein: the width of the main body part is greater than that of the additional part.
