The plug 1 is provided with two sealing element mounting grooves which are arranged along the axial direction of the plug 1 at intervals, and the two sealing element mounting grooves are respectively provided with a sealing element 4. After the connector is used for a long time, along with the accumulation of the plugging times of the plug and the socket, the sealing element 4 is easily damaged, and the sealing element 4 needs to be replaced. If the mode of regularly changing the sealing member is adopted, the situation that the sealing member is not changed in time or is wasted exists. Preferably, before replacing the sealing element 4, the actual damage condition of the sealing element 4 is judged; however, even if the plug 1 is pulled out of the socket, the sealing element 4 is still shielded by the locking nut 3, and a worker cannot judge the damage condition of the sealing element, so that the sealing element is easily replaced untimely, and the safe use of the connector is affected.

The first embodiment of the connector with a seal observing structure of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2, includes a plug 1 and a lock nut 3 sleeved on the plug 1, and a space 2 between the plug 1 and the lock nut 3 is provided for a socket to be installed. The lock nut 3 is used for locking the plug 1 with a corresponding socket. A clamping ring 5 is arranged on the plug 1 at the rear side of the locking nut 3 along the plugging direction of the plug 1, and the clamping ring 5 limits the axial position of the locking nut 3 on the plug 1.
A radial sealing groove is formed in the circumferential outer wall of the plug 1, which is used for being connected with the socket in an inserting mode, and a notch of the radial sealing groove faces the locking nut 3; more than two radial seal grooves are arranged at intervals along the axial direction of the plug 1, and each radial seal groove is internally provided with a radial seal 4. During the use of the connector, the radial seal 4 is easily damaged along with the accumulation of the plugging times of the plug and the socket.
The lock nut 3 is provided with an observation hole 6 for observing the damaged condition of the radial sealing element 4, and the observation hole is a light hole which radially penetrates through the side wall of the lock nut 3 along the lock nut 3. In this embodiment, two radial seal grooves all correspond and have observation hole 6, and each observation hole 6 is close to the setting of corresponding circumferential seal groove on lock nut 3. In other embodiments, more than two viewing apertures 3 corresponding to the same radial seal groove are provided at axially spaced intervals around the lock nut 3.
When the connector is assembled, the radial sealing element 4 is firstly installed in the corresponding radial sealing groove, the plug 1 is inserted into the corresponding socket, and the locking nut 3 is screwed on, so that the axial locking of the plug 1 and the corresponding socket is realized. After the connector is used for a period of time, the plug 1 is pulled out of the socket, the corresponding radial sealing element 4 can be observed through the observation hole 6, and then the damage condition of the radial sealing element 4 is judged.
Compared with the prior art, the problem that the damage condition of the radial sealing element in the existing connector cannot be judged is solved; and the damaged condition of radial seal spare is judged comparatively accurately, is difficult to cause the condition that the sealing member is changed untimely or the sealing member is changed too frequently and cause the sealing member extravagant.
The second embodiment is different from the first embodiment in that the observation hole is a threaded hole, and a screw plug is screwed in the threaded hole. When the connector is normally used, the plug screw is vertically and rotatably arranged on the observation hole, so that impurities in the external environment are prevented from entering the connector; when observation is needed, the screw plug is screwed off; alternatively, the screw plug may be replaced with another member made of a transparent material.
The third embodiment is different from the first embodiment in that the observation structure on the lock nut is formed by an arc-shaped groove arranged around the axis of the lock nut, and the lock nut can be additionally provided with a shielding cover for shielding the arc-shaped groove; when needing to observe, the shielding cover is detached.
A fourth embodiment, which is different from the first embodiment in that the observation structure on the lock nut is formed by a waist-shaped long hole extending along the axial direction of the lock nut, and the waist-shaped long hole crosses two radial seal grooves on the plug; two radial sealing elements on the two radial sealing grooves can be observed simultaneously through the waist-shaped long hole.
In the embodiment of the lock nut for a connector according to the present invention, the structure of the lock nut for a connector is the same as that of the lock nut in any of the embodiments of the connector with a seal observation structure according to the present invention described above. Therefore, the description will not be repeated.
An embodiment of the connector assembly of the present invention, which includes a plug/receptacle connector serving as a plug/receptacle, has the same structure as that of any of the above-described embodiments of the connector with a seal observing structure of the present invention, and a description thereof will not be repeated.
