本发明实施例涉及通信领域，提供一种网络资源的编排方法和设备，该方法包括：第一管理单元从第二管理单元接收网络资源的信息，该网络资源的信息包括该网络资源的能力信息，网络资源的能力信息用于表示该网络资源具有的功能或特征；第一管理单元根据该网络资源的信息，进行网络资源的编排。本发明实施例的方案中，第一管理单元从第二管理单元接收包含网络资源的能力信息的网络资源的信息，进而根据该网络资源的信息进行网络资源的编排，从而实现了网络资源的自动编排，提高了网络资源编排的效率。
